I came here to get my car smogged. I had made a reservation the night before (which the system accepted), but when I went in for my appointment, the Manager didn't see it in his system. Thankfully, when I showed him my confirmation, he honored it. The shop was clean, the price was good and the location is within walking distance of the plaza on Calaveras where Mil's Diner and other shops are located. They were also very efficient. Every time DMV's decree arrives, I get a few more wrinkles on my forehead. I've been coming to this place for the biennial obligatory smog tests. The process couldn't be simpler. I would call to schedule an appointment and then drop off the car on the day of. They don't have a waiting area so I usually go somewhere else instead of hanging around at the shop. You'd better plan ahead especially when it's hot or raining outside...although rain is not very likely these days :-( The good thing is there are plenty of eateries and shops nearby to kill time. My latest visit was last month. The workers were nice and the price was quite reasonable. The job was finished fairly quickly. It's a relief that the car passed for another 2 years. Smog Pros we're quick to respond and provided me with a quote over the weekend and I brought my car in the following Monday. I had issues with my shocks and brakes. They were honest and advised that the brakes were still 75% and didn't need to be replaced but if I wanted to address the squeaking they gave me options and costs. They fixed the shocks at a reasonable costs and had my car back by end of day. Team there was professional and easy to work with. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the good reviews so I decided to take my car here. I called Smog Pros first to inquire about pricing. $40 out the door...not going to complain about, some other places wanted $50 and up. I spoke with Linh, who asked me a few details about my car and wanted to verify if he could Smog my car here. Everything checked out just fine and he told me to come in 45 minutes. The facility is pleasantly well kept and quite clean. Everything was effortless. Linh took the keys, told me it would be done in 20 minutes and took care of my car. No worries, no dramas. A no frills type of place!!! I called at 8:30am and asked if they could take me at 9am. Arrived at 9am and was out by 9:20am. $40 is what was quoted and that is what I paid. They sent everything off to the DMV - easy peasy :) What I really loved is that they were fixing up the van of the person that delivers their water and even though the guy kept trying to pay, they kept saying that it was on the house. Last year they changed the brakes with Akebono ceramic brake pads and rotors which are the best for long term performance & safety. They have replaced my Volvo cabin air filter & other items to save an unnecessary & costly trip to the dealer.
