I have eaten a lot of pizza. I have eaten pizza in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and now Santa Fe. The pizza at upper crust was without a doubt the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life. I have eaten Domino's Pizza and I have eaten store-bought pizza and they are all much better than upper crust Pizza. I ordered a margarita pizza and even looking at it, it looked nothing like a margarita, pizza, nor in fact any pizza. It tasted, absolutely horrible. I have no idea why this place is highly rated, but it certainly cannot be for the pizza. read more

I called the number they listed for the Eldorado location and ordered pizza and salad to pick up. When I arrived it took ten minutes for the employee to recognize I was there. When he finally acknowledged me he said my order wasn't there and it must be downtown. I told him I called the number on their website and had the screenshot of their website. He said there wasn't anything he could do. So I walked out and will not return. read more

The service sucks. Hours on their site day closing at 8pm, called 25mins before 8 and they said they would not take my order because they were closed. I told them their hours state closes at 8 and they should mark it that they don't take orders 25mins before. The person on the phone said in a snippy voice "will do" and then hung up. read more

Stopped by after getting some gas while on a road trip. We were pleasantly surprised at how exceptional the food and the service was! The side salads were delicious and my calzone was truly the best I've ever had! Nice and crispy on the bottom and delectable on the inside! Overpriced but if you're desperate due to location, we'll, there's this one in El Dorado. Food is good! My only complaint is the price.

Every time we have bought a pizza here, it has either been undercooked or overcooked. Pretty sad for a $23.00 pizza! I've eaten excellent (and consistent!) pizzas that were less than HALF the cost. We live in Eldorado so, while Upper Crust is CONVENIENT, paying steak prices for such carelessly-baked pizza is unacceptable. read more

Horrible experience. Do not recommend. When we first arrived the woman taking our order had EarPods in, which is extremely unprofessional. We then waited 30 minutes to get salads. It took an hour and 15 minutes to finally get some pizza. When we did receive some pizza, the order was wrong and the pizza was cold. We were told that our large pizza was being made. During the time we waited we saw several other guests come in and order and leave, both upset that their orders were late (and they came in well after we arrived). After waiting another 20 plus minutes for said correct pizza we order to be made, I went to ask the woman behind the counter why things were taking so long (another individual who seemed to be working very hard and not wearing EarPods), and she was unable to give a direct answer even after I asked directly multiple times. After seeing how frustrated we were she FINALLY apologized and comped the large pizza we never received. Terrible service and incompetent staff. read more

Wow! Things have really deteriorated at the Upper Crust in Eldorado. We've been eating here for several years and it has been a go-to place for a decent meal. We would generally eat a small gluten-free pizza, and it was good. Covid was hard on the restaurant from a staffing perspective and sadly the management has changed. Not sure if that's just the Eldorado store or both of them. But, the new management has really messed things up. Cucumbers in the salad were frozen, the meatball sub was close to inedible. Draft beers were mostly out. And a soda machine at the bar?? How tacky! I think we'll just keep driving into Santa Fe to eat and watch reviews to see if things improve. Sad to see it happen, and I hope they figure out to improve things. read more

Great service, amazing pizza, garlic cheese bread, and a fresh Greek salad! The food and service was outstanding. Love the attitude of the staff. I had never tried the garlic cheese bread, but it was so good. Crunchy, with lots of garlic and mozzarella cheese. The sauce was so wonderful. This place was perfect for years. Whatever happened in the past few months (new manager?) is more than disappointing. Hilarious seeing the business owners and their son get a tour of the kitchen during my 45 minute drive thru order literally clapping. I had to flag down the woman from my car at the drive thru wonder after my second round of sitting at the drive thru for 15-20 minutes. The owner had to open the drive thru window.. This place runs hot and cold. They have fouledup my order multiple times. One night while waited at the service window I observed one female employee combing her fingers through another's hair. No gloves, right next to thecou ter where food is prepared. I think there needs to be an adult on the premises. Too many teens not taking their work seriously. read more

First things first... This is not east coast New Jersey style pizza. With that said, the pizza is very very good. Good ingredients and I love the crust once I got over missing NJ pizza (probably the only thing I miss from NJ :)). Also, they don't skimp on the green chile! (I know, I know, green chile on pizza???. It's well worth it!!!) Staff is very good to excellent. They have a very good beer selections well. I do wish they server wine in better glasses though. They also support local live music! It's worth stopping if you are out Eldorado way! read more

This place has gotten so much better. All the kinks have been worked out and we are so happy with our meals and service. Kat is the most amazing person there. She is so sweet and make a sure your order is perfect. The meatball sub is to die for and pizza is sooo good. We are very lucky to have this little gem in our neighborhood. My stepmom's wallet was stolen while she was ordering a pizza here in July 2018, and the thief used her credit card. She has been contacting the manager for four months, asking him to review the security camera footage from when it happened to help her find out who did it. She gave him the exact 30-minute window when it happened and he's been giving her the runaround for four months, saying it would take too much of his time. He doesn't have thirty minutes to help make this right?! Another business owner in the area suggested to her that it might have been an employee, which could explain why the manager is being so uncooperative. If I owned a business and a customer had a request like this, I'd be as cooperative as possible. Please be careful if you eat in this restaurant. read more

This place needs some serious help! Our instinct was to walk out and we should have. Walked in and girl was prepping food with gloves on and my first thought was "oh that's great" because I am a bit obsessive when it comes to cleanliness in the kitchen. But then when she wrung up our order on the dirty cash register, answered the phone and cleared all the condiments off the community bar and took our money, that is when we should've asked for our money back because after that she continued to prep food with her dirty gloves. Then the gentleman making the food in the back came out to help her on the register and never took his gloves off and then went right back to the kitchen. DISGUSTING!!! The food was under par.. it was probably one of the worst dining experience I have ever had and I am no spring chicken. Don't waste your money at Upper Crust in ElDorado.....trust me. Worst dining experience ever. Ordered two pizzas a sandwich, salad, and sub and paid for the food. Saw they were busy, so didn't push or bother them, but after 45 minutes and nothing, I asked about our order. The employee said they were backed up. 15 minutes later, found out they lost our order, so she went and found the ticket. She said I'll put it up front. LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE who had come in after us or barely arrived were getting their food, but an hour and 15 minutes later, we still hadn't gotten ours. When they did finally bring out the sub and garlic bread, both were cold. 10 more minutes for the pizza. It was a nightmare and the food wasn't even good. I get being busy. I get working with inexperienced employees. We did not pressure them and were trying to be very understanding, but by the hour and a half mark, we were fairly frustrated. It was unacceptable. I used to drive from S. side Santa Fe out to Eldo just for the amazing pizza at Upper Crust. The pies were amazing. Great dough good sauce and excellent toppings generously distributed. Something has changed there to the point where I returned today to speak with the manager about the dissapointment in the box that I was given last night. I paid in advance for a large grn chile mushroom and sausage pizza and left a 5 dollar tip for a take out order. The toppings were few and far between for a 3 topping pie. Thought that the value for the $30 was poor at best. In the past when I ordered a 3 topping pie it was LOADED! Full after 2 slices but has a third just because it was so good. This time 4 slices because I was still hungry. This time it was not a good pie because the toppings were insufficiant in quantity. What a huge dissapointment. The manager said that some of ingreedents have risen in price and there were some new guys who may not know what a good pizza looks like. Training failure and maybe the new management has decided to do things differently. I am not having it anymore. Time to frequent the other guys who know what a good pizza looks like on 2nd St. Good luck Upper Crust. The worst customer service let alone pizza I have had in Santa Fe. Management suggests 10 cars in parking lot is a very busy experience for the so it's okay to forget topping and not follow through when you say yes to Parmesan and peppers. This is a sad excuse and the pizza even sadder. We gave them a fourth chance and it is our last. Help needs serious counseling on customer service. Really sad to say I won't be back... for pizza at least. At almost 2$ a topping I would have expected more than 10 pieces of pineapple on a large pizza. Skimped badly on the toppings.... hardly any cheese.... toppings were a bit charred. I live in Vancouver Canada and even the dive pizza places have better pizza. I was not expecting cheap delivery style pizza but I was hoping for something with flavor and toppings.... the pizzas in the pictures look abundant with toppings. Not what I got. I used to work by the Upper Crust downtown and loved it, so I don't know what the hell is going on here at the El Dorado location. Second time in a row my pizza was overcooked (way too much black cheese on top), the ingredients were thin, and the sauce barely there. I called ahead last night and it wasn't ready when I arrived so I ordered a beer and waited at the bar, after 10 minutes I was giving the counter girl the stink eye (it wasn't busy at all) and she came over and asked about what I ordered, and quickly found it sitting out, as it was already not warm. I also noticed the solo, young and inexperienced looking cook in the kitchen saucing, cheesing, and topping other pizzas with a noted lack of enthusiasm, really cheating the pizza of the love it needs. By the time I got home (10 minutes) my wife was effing pissed about the cold, burnt pizza, and she is an apologetic person. She nuked it and pronounced it OK, but the kids wouldn't eat it and no one took the leftovers this morning which is saying something for my family. $18 for a crappy cold pepperoni pizza? You want to charge premium prices then you have to deliver premium product. Especially when a much better pizza place is across the street who will sell you a wildly superior pie for $2 less and a salad twice the size for the same money (but they aren't open Mon-Tue). The Greek salad was fantastic as always, except instead of the normal yummy garlicky bread that comes with it we got half of a sesame hoagie loaf kind of half cut up to try and make it not look like the cold hoagie bun that it was. Beer was great as is the location. Come on Upper Crust, put your back into it! You know you are occupying a cursed building so its not going to be easy. read more
