Upon arrival, I informed the bartender (at a time when the restaurant was not busy) that I'd sit outside. She acknowledged me, invited me to take a menu, and then failed to tell the server that I was sitting in the back patio area. By the time the server saw me, she apologized and said the bartender hadn't informed her. After our server clocked out, her replacement was slow or distracted, never offering me a second beer or ensuring our waters stayed full. Our actual server, though, was outstanding. She's tried enough of the menu items to be able to provide detailed information and smart suggestions. We liked her a lot! Management material, IMO. Started with the Bow & Arrow dark lager and a cup of the mushroom stew. I thought it was a great combo and paired well with the fresh focaccia, which was a steal at $2 for 4 slices (served with quality EVOO and balsamic)! Perfect stew dunker and salad companion. For entree, I got the pepita salad, and my friend got the pear-fessor. We both enjoyed our choices. Cumin dressing in the pepita was light and bright, and it's one of the few salads that comes with a protein (shredded chicken). Lovely little tables on front and back patios. All seating is hard, so BYO cushion. Will return when the peach burrata salad is back on the menu!

I feel like the service here is always very prompt and love the design of the restaurant with a patio outside. This go around I tried the Japchae noodles which were very fresh. My only issue was the metal chopsticks made it very hard to grab. My partner tried the bison burger which I had a bite of and found to be really good as well. We also ordered some of the focaccia bread which I was a little bummed looked more like a regular loaf of bread then focaccia. Still was good but probably wouldn't order again. All in all great spot for anyone wanting a fresh dish or gluten free options.

I also got some kind of maple cream cold brew; I did have to ask for more maple flavor because I wanted my drink a bit sweeter, and the barista graciously added it without charging extra. They seemed to have interesting pastries and bagels, and the shop is also a market with fancy snacks and other provisions. I was tempted to take home a unique chocolate bar or jam, or something savory like a wacky bag of popcorn, but we were maxed out on snacks at our Airbnb, so I refrained. They had a wide selection of this kind of stuff. All in all, it was the perfect spot to grab lunch in the late afternoon while cruising around the Plaza on a hot day. The flank steak relied a lot on the chimichurri, which added great acidity, but without it, the steak did not have its own seasoning or flavor. It was satisfying, but the visuals tricked me into thinking it was going to blow my mind. Overall, this is a nice space to hang with friends for a special occasion and enjoy some tasty options. I'm interested in returning to try other things. I like when a place sparks my curiosity.
