Later, I had another problem as the fridge started making an odd noise. Initially, Vadym suspected it was the compressor fan, but the issue persisted. This issue had actually been lingering for a long time, I had at least four or five other companies came to diagnose the noise issue, each offering different quick opinions--some barely inspected it and suggested immediate part replacements, others insisted the fridge needed to be pulled out (which is a big job for a built-in unit) and fix from the back of the fridge. But none felt confident, they all rushed to conclusions without a proper diagnosis. Vadym stood out by taking the time. He thoroughly examined the fridge and, when the issue persisted, he consulted his network instead of guessing. Eventually, he figured out the noise was caused by the condenser pipe and water pipe being too close, which caused vibration when the compressor kicked in. In the end, he fixed it. What I truly appreciated was his commitment, he didn't rush to a quick guess; he invested time, asked for input, and returned until it was resolved. I would highly recommend Vadym and Metro Appliance to others.

Aleksandra is the BEST!…read more I came to her with a ChatGPT-generated image of what I wanted: a custom wedding outfit with pants, a lace top, and a cape. I couldn't find what I wanted anywhere, and even a friend in the fashion designer world had warned me not to expect anyone to be able to replicate a computer-generated image exactly. Aleksandra was able to bring the vision to life exactly as I had imagined it and honestly, way better than the image from AI, and the finished outfit is incredible. The pants fit so well that they look like they were painted onto me. She even fitted them to two different pairs of shoes that are about two inches different in height (sneakers and heels)! The lace top is comfortable yet elegant, and the cape is exactly what I pictured. It is beautiful and dramatic, but still light enough to wear comfortably. One of my favorite parts of working with Aleksandra was how involved I got to be in the process. I learned so much along the way. She was knowledgeable and offered thoughtful suggestions about fabrics and design, but she never pressured me into doing anything I didn't want. Her recommendations were invaluable, from choosing a pant fabric that wouldn't be see-through or emphasize areas I was self-conscious about, to helping me find a cape fabric that was beautiful without being too heavy. She is also incredibly fast. The turnaround time for everything has been much quicker than I expected, especially considering how busy she is. And her prices are very reasonable. What I paid for a completely custom outfit was less than many bridal shops in the area charge for non-custom options. She also went above and beyond for my wife. My wife had a piece made by Lace & Liberty that was oddly constructed and didn't fit well. Despite having an extremely busy schedule, Aleksandra took it on and has patiently fixed it bit by bit. Aleksandra made the whole experience fun. She never batted an eye at us being a two-bride couple and has been nothing but welcoming throughout the entire process. We genuinely looked forward to our fittings, felt like we were part of the creative process, and trusted her completely. We LOVE her and are so grateful we found her! I'll update to include photos after our wedding!

I let him know I had worn it for the first time on 5/26/25 for a wedding, about five hours straight. There was no damage or visible stains, but the inside of the jacket, specifically the armpit area, had a little deodorant/sweat odor from wearing it for hours. Jay reassured me they could take care of it. I had originally gone to another place first, I walked into SF Green Clean, which said they couldn't remove armpit sweat odor with dry cleaning. (To be fair, the woman I spoke with there was very sweet, so no complaints on her customer service.) That's how I ended up at Sonia's Dry Cleaners. Jay told me they'd be able to handle it, and if I wasn't satisfied after the first attempt, they'd clean it again at no extra charge. He mentioned if needed there were other chemicals they could use to get a smell out if needed/depending on the material of the jacket and that prices would vary if needed, but he looked at it and quoted me when I dropped it off for $25. I dropped it off on 5/28/25 with no rush order. When I picked it up on 6/9/25 and checked it, the odor was still present. I went back inside and spoke with Mary at the front--she was VERY kind. I pointed out the specific area I was hoping they could focus on, and she told me it would be ready by 6/12/25 and that they'd call or text me when it was done. On pickup day, I called ahead and spoke with Jay again. He was EXTREMELY kind and made it clear they truly wanted to earn my business. He even said they'd be willing to clean it a third or fourth time if necessary. That level of care and professionalism really stood out. I expected I might have to ask for a refund or run into a problem, but instead, the whole interaction was handled smoothly and respectfully. When I picked up the jacket, the smell in the armpit area was completely gone. It looked and smelled brand new, bagged and ready for the next event. It was in a clear bagged packaging and had a metal copper hanger (the copper hanger was encased in a wrapped paper like material but seeing the metal iron worried me because I've had old copper hangers rust/leave the copper residue on materials, thankfully this one didn't, but I also assume since it's wrapped that it's not meant to be hanging on it long term, but just an observation for someone who might worry like I do) I was originally leaning toward a 3-star rating because I had to return for a second cleaning and didn't receive the call/text updates I was told to expect (Mary did mention their system may have been down). But their exceptional customer service, especially the way Jay and Mary handled everything completely won me over. That extra effort earned the business 4 stars. (The dock was having to come back in due to it looking/smelling the same which was mentioned my main concern, and them not contacting me when they said it'd be ready both times) I don't know the price of more dry cleaning items but thankfully I don't do dry cleaning so often. I'll definitely be back and will update my review after my next visit. Thank you!

It was near NYE and he was still able to get the machine ready in just a few days..and even gave me a discount for it being a smaller job Many will say that the servicing fees for sewing machines are too high..seeing as how it costs about half of what a new machine costs. A lot of people may just go buy a new machine, for fear that the servicing may cost just as much..but that's an epic waste and if you keep up on oiling and cleaning your machine, it can last you a lifetime. The fees are high because the whole machine has to be disassembled and can take hours. The shop is small yet inviting. They offer a selection of fabrics, supplies and notions. You are warmly welcomed upon entrance and they're following Covid protocols extremely well I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back in the future. An older gentleman in front of me chose some items and realized he had forgotten his wallet. He asked if he could take the items and pay later..I laughed to myself but the kind and patient woman at the counter agreed Gave me hope that there are still trusting and kind people left in this world The only disappointment was that when I unwrapped my machine..the spool cap had not been returned with it The kind I had was hard to come too..being as you could slip it around to use with different spool sizes But nothing can be perfect

Princess Project was created in Feb 2002 when a girl wanted to go to the prom but could not afford a dress. The founder of Princess Project did a dress drive and received an enormous amount of support from the SF Bay Area. Since then, they have served nearly 20,000 teens. If you are a teen that needs a dress for the prom visit http://princessproject.org/get-a-dress/ the last giveaway is 3/22/14. If you want to be a Fairy Godmother visit http://princessproject.org/volunteer/ I decided to volunteer as a dress runner. Basically, I was the one who ran up and down the stairs putting the "unwanted" dresses back on the rack. They have other opportunities such as; check-in (done outside), personal shopper (helps the girls pick out the dress they want), check-out (done inside). This was the earliest volunteer I've done to date. We woke up at 6am to get to SF by 7:45am. BART is not close to this location (2099 Market Street). You would need to take a bus to Church Street from BART. If you know me, you know I don't go on BART/bus without my honey. So, with a little begging and pleading, I convinced my honey to drive me here! Thanks babe!! Once I arrived and signed in. They gave a cute apron to wear. The organizer gave a tutorial on what will happen and we went off to our positions to get ready for the girls. They bring in 20 groups of girls at a 15-20 min increment. The girls have 10 mins to find a dress with their personal shopper, 10 mins to try it on and 5 mins to get a free accessory. You are probably wondering how this is possible. I thought the same exact thing, but it is possible. Obviously, you have those girls/moms who deviate from the rules. On Sat, they had about 400 girls. On Sun, I would say they probably had half that amount. After 5 hours of running up and down the stairs, it was time to go home. The experience was awesome! Seeing a girl get excited about a dress that both she and her mom had happy tears made it all priceless. On this day I was the Fairy Godmother but on 3/28, I will be Cinderella ready to kiss my Prince Charming at the ball! Thank you Princess Project for making a girls dream come true.
