But rest assured, they were great. They also don't typically move live plants because of liability issues, but moved one of mine with the agreement that they wouldn't be responsible if it died in the hot truck (which was fair). But the plant made it alive and Kate even reached out after the move to make sure it did which was very thoughtful. I'd highly recommend them :)

I went with a team of four because I didn't think it would be fair for three guys to do the work of what would take for, especially with the stairs. I've used movers many times in the past and their supervisor did a good job of setting my expectations. I often read reviews from other people who complain that movers take too long. Those people have unrealistic expectations. Viking Movers moved as quickly as they could but also with care so nothing would break. Some people can be so unkind and don't realize how difficult it is to move Heavy items down a set of stairs and not break anything. I am not one of those people. These guys do back breaking work & I appreciate that all the heavy lifting was done by someone else other than me Viking Movers asked me where I want to things to be place once we got to our final destination and took care as to where to place them. They also asked me if there is anything else I need to do before they left, because once I said this is done, then our contract was over. Their team has a good attitude and never complained about anything ( um, my staff complains about the stairs and all they have in their hands are & , not a 150lbs credenza) I think they did a great job did it as quickly as they could and for a fair rate especially since I did not have to lift a finger or break a sweat. I can't even begin to describe how stellar Josh and his crew were with our move!…read more From the very beginning Josh was communicative, super accommodating for schedules (was able to see us for the assessment of our move within a day!), and was super professional, kind, careful, thorough, and there are not enough good adjectives in the English language to describe how great of a guy he was throughout this whole process. First off, super appreciated the assessment. Josh showed up on a Sunday to look around our condo complex to get a lay of the land (was really glad I could show him our building's elevator only moving policy, and that they would have to move things out of the garage etc) and show him all of the various big bulky things we had to move (One a very precious family heirloom, my grandma's dining room table... another couple things being our motorized standing desks that would require a deft careful hand... then an elliptical, washer and dryer, and dishwasher, bed etc). Josh assessed and was super confident about being able to handle all the furniture and boxes we need moved, and we were set to move within the week! The day before the move, we realized we had a kind of kludgy request that we had neglected to point out during our assessment. We had planned to move our old dishwasher (we just like it!) into the new house we were moving too, it it would require a switcharoo of the new house's dishwasher for the condo one. The day before, I emailed Josh about the situation and he was SUPER accommodating, his team showed up bright and early at the new house, took the dishwasher, and headed over to the condo to meet up with my husband and start officially moving out all the rest of our stuff and leaving that dishwasher. Josh's team was super kind and friendly, they were so careful and listened so well to where things were supposed to go. They were so incredible to move challenging items like a rather sizable elliptical without having to dismantle it, and everything was in working order after the move. And they let me dust some things as they were setting them up because I realized this might be the last chance to dust weird hidden crevices there hadn't seen the light of day in years. They worked super efficiently, quickly, and the cost was so reasonable for all the work they did. They deserved every cent! I am a really anxious person, and there was never a moment I really felt the need to check in on them or hover as they were unloading stuff or setting things up (apologies Josh if there was ever a hovering moment! Not a reflection of the trust I felt for you guys!) and my husband is super detail oriented, he never felt they were doing anything untoward (and he can be quite picky!). Would highly highly recommend these guys and if we ever move again (please no it's just a pain to pack haha) would use them in a heartbeat because THEY made moving not a hassle. Long story short, I invested in a CPAP machine which was expensive AF and left me with a dry mouth/throat when I woke up. I was certain that I had exhausted all options no pun intended. It may seem like an unorthodox method to some, but I decided to take a leap of faith. I got lit with the intention to black out. It worked. I had a tidal wave of bullshit ass dreams but I still didn't feel satisfied. It was like a preview to a really exciting movie that wasn't going to come out. It was like Dre's Detox being talked about for 20 years and still not dropping. Sorry about that. I had to get that out. After 15 minutes of self-reflection, hateration and holleration, I decided to call my good friend Mike. I wanted to inquire about the current tippin status and see if it was "still". I felt he was the perfect person to call. I've seen his transformation from back then when hoes didn't want him to present day where the hoes are all on him. By the end of the call, I acquired absolutely zero useful information. I decided to move on and that's when it hit me. There's been a lot of talk on the streets, the internet and even in my daily astrology subscription that I can't figure out how to cancel. At first I thought it was going to be one of those Tony Robbins positivity things where he sells you an opportunity to listen to how to solve your problems. Did Mr Robbins solve my problems? NOPE! Working hard and doing what you're being paid to do is one thing, but the meticulous attention to detail as if they're playing a game of Tetris with their life on the line was pretty neat. Anyway, back to my budget being tight. I tried to pull a fast one when I was going over pricing with Mr. Robert by saying that his cousin referred me. Apparently, he doesn't have any cousins named Seymour. He informed me that it didn't matter because anybody whose business he earns isn't just a name on an invoice. It's a client that he intends to have for life and on top of that, treats as family. Professionalism is cool but can also be dry at times. It was very easy - quote - prices & move out date - what am I moving? and how many movers do I need ? I chose two movers and boom that was it the process went smoothly I spoke to Aziza she emailed the papers I sent a deposit and on Friday Nick and Mike arrived at 8:30 am on time and ready to go - they had me review some papers I signed they looked around and got busy moving they were very professional. I had a lot of packed boxes well over 50+ and a few small items of furniture these men were fast and careful with my belongings and fragile items - they also disassembled my bed packed and wrapped two flat screen tv's they had that truck layered perfectly and there was plenty of room for more I gave them my 2 years old refrigerator bc I didn't need it - they also threw away my old mattress a chaise couch two heavy tv stands and a few other things I didn't need. My condo isn't quite ready this is why I decided to move my belongings into my parents garage avoiding extra storage costs - I will literally have moved twice when my condo is ready ; ( no worries I'm rehiring Standard Movers again along with the same movers Nick and Mike. Standard Moving in my opinion is Honest- Reliable & Safe A moving company that won't cheat you - a company that sends movers who work fast and won't run up phony hidden charges playing dishonest games.
