Mikes did a great job moving my father in law out of his condo into assisted living. They were on time, professional, and did a good job.

So back in August when we decided to move, we took to yelp and looked at various reviews on moving companies. We decided to go with Mikes Moving Solutions as they had some great reviews, were very fast in response time and were also reasonable priced... The move on the day went smooth and i can't argue with that, the wardrobe boxes were little beat up but they did the job.... So after movers had left, i was looking for my purse ( high value purse ) which we had left on the kitchen counter as it was traveling via car as it had personal belongings in that were very dear to my heart as they were 1st gifts from my son, not to mention 2 pairs of expensive sunglasses, We looked all over the house for the bag and found nothing, we opened all moving boxes and still nothing. Afraid to say one of the movers decided to help themselves to the purse. We contacted the company straight away to inform them and was told nothing like this had ever happened before, cut a long story short we were informed that they had contacted the workers and they denied taking the purse ( because of course they were going to confess to stealing it ) To add insult to injury, after we had informed them about the theft they sent one of the accused back to the house to collect the empty wardrobe boxes. Fast forward a couple of months and various dodged phone calls, we were told they would offer $100 for over $800 of stolen property and lets not forget damage to tv unit and completely broke our sons playhouse in which we had to scrap. After informing them we would be getting police involved and providing them with a police reference number we were offered $200.. In the end we accepted it as they're was no reasoning with this company, and it was better than nothing i guess. Yes we lost belongings of value, but more importantly were the sentimental value they had and will never be able to replaced Granted they have some good reviews, maybe we were unlucky with the movers we were sent on the day, but the aftercare was shocking and would never use nor recommend this company read more

We found Shari to be very responsive to emails and phone calls so scheduling was very simple, however we did not find the move to go as easily as we had hoped. We had some glass items that weren't properly packed (Mike's did packing for us) and they broke as a result. We were offered no compensation for the break and had to pay the unpackers by the hour to tape it together, so we ended up paying hundreds for a broken piece of furniture. We did not have a great "meeting of the minds" with the unpacking crew and they left many boxes in odd places and told us they could not further assist with unpacking because they couldn't tell what is in the boxes they packed and labeled themselves. Although empty wardrobes were left on site, several boxes were filled with clothes on hangars (including a wedding dress) and all of the clothes in the home were hung on a single rod that collapsed minutes after the unpacking crew left. One crew member spent much of the day unpacking a single china hutch and artistically arranging the glasses rather than unpacking heavier items. Overall we would not recommend using the unpacking service. read more

Mike's guys were awesome! Three guys, one large truck, four and half hours. The guys were great about taking direction where to put things, as well as with which items to be particularly careful. I tend to be quite picky about my stuff, and I was so pleased with the move. They communicated with me and with each other very well. Most importantly, they were great with my puppy who can be, well, a total bitch. She's pretty loud for her 5.5 lbs. My very elderly parents moved to an assisted living facility and I needed to bring some of their furniture. Their once-beautiful home has slowly turned into kind of a disaster area and I was pretty stressed out about the whole thing. The facility staff recommended Mike's Moving Solutions, who specialize in "senior moving" and have moved several other residents into the facility. I called and spoke with Shari, who made all the arrangements and then called me back to change the arrival time slightly. On moving day the team arrived promptly, introduced themselves politely and came inside to assess the job. They swung into action, handling all my quirky requests, i.e., move these two bureaus with their contents intact, empty the contents of that bureau and desk into boxes and move just the furniture, move those fragile lamps. They brought three guys but only charged me for two because we had arranged for two. The whole job was done in about 2.5 hours and they were kind enough to take a piece to my home on their way back--something they definitely did not have to do. The thing that impressed me most was the way they were with my parents, lovely and friendly people who both suffer from dementia and can't form short-term memories. My mother asked one of the crew how tall he is several times and he answered her with a smile each time; she asked another how long he had been doing this type of work and how he got into the business 4 or 5 times and he patiently explained again and again. When they were ready to leave they shook my dad's hand, gave my mom a little squeeze and wished them well. In spite of the 100-plus-degree heat these guys were calm, professional and efficient, turning an ordeal into a rousing success. You hear so many horror stories about the moving business but with Mike's Moving Solutions your story can have a happy ending! read more

Chris and Francisco were our moving guys; they were right on time, they work like a well oiled machine. Nothing was broken and they wasted no time. My review is a little different--at 6pm, Friday of Labor Day weekend this year, the moving company my boyfriend had hired to move a friend hadn't shown up and the person had to be out of the apartment by the next day. I told him I'd start looking but not to hold his breath. I called Mike's Moving Solutions, left a voice mail never figuring I'd hear back at that time of day but Mike called. He would have a crew available Saturday afternoon which would have been a lifesaver. The 'other company' finally showed up shortly after that so I ended up not using Mike. I was so impressed that he called back quickly, that he would have been able to bail us out on a holiday weekend based on a last minute call, I have to give him a shout out. This is THE BEST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!! From the second I talked to Shari on the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She was simply the greatest phone personality I've ever encountered. Sweet, smart, quick and understanding. We had a crazy fast move. I called them on a Wednesday, needing to move from West Hills to Beverly Hills (on the 6th floor of a complicated building) on that Monday. No problem for these guys! She had Mike himself out for the estimate the very next day. He even went out of his way to bring me boxes because he could tell we were busy & overwhelmed packing ourselves. How sweet was that? Oh and he also let us borrow wardrobe boxes which saved me a couple hundred bucks! Our moving team of Chris, Jeff, Carlos & Francisco were perfect and quick. Though this review is a little late in the post, back in March 2016 I employed Mike's movers and I have to say, I've never seen a more efficient, professional, down to brass tacks moving crew then the guys that Mike sent me. Three men and a truck made my move totally painless. This was my first time utilizing such a service, and I am here to tell you, if you're going from point A to B, you would have to have some malfunction not to hire this team! I couldn't be more happy with the whole outcome and best part, NOTHING was chipped, scratched or broken (as I've read from other reviews). Mike and his guys helped us move our parents from a 2 1/2 bedroom apartment with 11 years worth of stuff to an assisted living facility. They did the packing, loading, unloading and unpacking, and were very kind and patient with my parents. It was a difficult day and Chris and his guys made it much easier. They even took care of a truck full of donations for us, so we didn't have to worry about how to properly get rid of things my folks didn't need anymore. This company is great! We had a very complicated move to make from a large storage unit AND a rental house. Mike came by and coordinated how we would do it and it all went according to plan amazingly! He also gave us a very fair price. All the guys were so polite, hard working and very respectful. Mike left us with Chris to lead the crew and us...and he was a great leader. We also have 6 pets and they were totally understanding of that and worked with us to coordinate around them....plus they all love pets and were very friendly to them! The office manager Shari was also very helpful when things came up. The only person who broke anything was me! I dropped a box and they all heard it. It was funny because when they realized it wasn't one of them and it was me...we all had a good laugh! AMAZINGLY HELPFUL! Mike and crew were recommended from a Sr. facility my mother was moving into. I was in an awful situation where my mother was left alone after my father passed away earlier in the year and I was not able to come out from Ct. They went out of their way to assist my 88 yr. old mother with her move. They then came back after the Estate Sale and cleared the remaining items from the house. Shari was incredibly responsive and available. The movers were very efficient and careful. They did everything exactly as asked, and they were exceedingly patient. This was an internal move, and they had time to even help hang pictures and set up. A great thing,too, was that they took all "leftovers" to Goodwill for us, saving lots of work. They were just terrific! I was moving some family heirlooms from my mother's home to mine. It was about a 80 mile trip one way. The movers arrived early and got right to work. They took great care moving some antiques. They got on the road promptly and were as efficient and hard working at the destination as they were at the start. They took their time and did a poor packing job. Not only do they have the worst insurance, but so are their workers. They broke our brand new $500 washer, they only compinsated $75 for it. We received three recommendations for movers from our real estate broker. After a review, we choose Mike's. The quote was for three men, for 8 1/2 hours. The price was very competitive and we were impressed with Mike's honesty. The quoted prices was to be reduced if less time was needed to complete the job, in 1/4 hour increments. The men arrived on time and worked very quickly. They were friendly and very competent. I expected 4 hours for the packing - they took 3-1/2. Our new address is only about 5 minutes from our old one. The men stopped for lunch, that lasted approx 45 minutes. We were never told that this was part of the 8 1/2 hours. The move-in was completed in three hours, again very fast. The team leader asked for a check for the full amount. When I complained, he told me the office would deal with the issue. After they left, I called the office and they sent the driver back with a corrected amount that met my expectations. The men were a bit difficult to deal with in regard to the exact placement of our furniture. They removed the two bed skirts when they disassembled the beds. When the beds were reassembled, they did not put the skirts back on. We didn't notice until after they left. One would think professional movers would know enough to put them back, especially for a king sized bed that is impossible to do without at least two strong people. When packing, they removed all light bulbs from the lamps. After the move-in was complete and the men left, we discovered the light bulbs were no where to be found. I would tell anyone to use this company - BUT make sure you get all the information up front; and keep a very careful eye on everything, otherwise you might end up being left in the dark. read more

Moving all your stuff from a 4000 square foort home where you've been for 18 years can be pretty stressful. My experience with Mike's Moving Solutions was fabulous. Mike gave a really fair estimate for our move to storage, and on very short notice. Rain was forecast the day of the move and they made plans to do it the following day if it rained, which it did. On the move day two trucks showed up and maybe 8 guys. They worked their butts off and were awesome in every way. Highly professional and experienced. They took great care with our stuff moving it from the house down our steep driveway and onto the truck. The last item was loaded into storage at 9:15PM on a Friday night. Can't recommend them enough, and Shari in the office is terrific about being in touch and following up. They know what their doing, follow directions (if you have any) and are friendly and courteous from beginning to end! read more

I wish I could give Mikes Moving Solutions a better review since all the other great reviews are why I decided to use them in the first place. The communication before the move was great and they arrived on time (which is the reason why I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1). It was at this point though that their service was lacking. They were supposed to bring 3 guys to do the move, instead only 2 showed until 1 more decided to show up very late into the move. After a very long (most likely because of the lack of movers) 12 hour move from Encino to Simi Valley we discovered they damaged our bed, a dining room chair, and a toy box that was a family heirloom. I'm not sure if it was on purpose but the bed and the chair were placed in positions so that the damage wasn't noticeable at first. I contacted Mikes Movers and wasn't given any help with the damaged items. Wish I could have continued the trend of good reviews. read more

What a great experience! Every one of the guys was wonderful. Each one introduced themselves when we saw them for the first time. It felt like we were meeting friends of friends. Super nice, courteous, and professional, starting with Mike himself. We felt safe having them in our home. We'd have any of them over for a BBQ anytime, they are the kind of people that we would consider friends. Ray is an animal...the items that he lifted and carried independently were astonishing at times. Francisco joked that he doesn't do that anymore...the camaraderie amongst the group made for a fun day even though it was stressful and crazy. Chris, Brett, Jeff too; all the guys were great. I think that was everyone working that day...and two trucks. A VERY long day. All items have arrived intact and without harm. They did take special care of everything and truly seemed to treat everything as if it were their own (including stuff they didn't pack, which was a lot) including the attention they paid to the house itself; both the rental and our new home. Our 14 month old daughter was there the whole time. All of the guys were very sweet with her. The price was fair and we had a large move. We received several estimates and Mike was the most reasonable. Shari in the office was wonderful to work with too! They know how to do this whole moving thing VERY WELL. We highly recommend them and although we don't plan to move again anytime soon, we wouldn't hire anyone but Mikes to do the job. read more
