Mitchell by my primary care Doctor, a new doctor for me. I was in a very dark, very bad place... having been diagnosed with PTSD-C and severe anxiety. I asked my primary care Doc to prescribe me Venlafaxine, a drug I had been previously placed on by multiple practitioners. Finding myself losing insurance gaining insurance, switching from one doctor to the next. I found myself prescribed and on the drug, then off the drug, back on the drug, just to go back off the drug again... It wreaked havoc on my mental health, to a point of choosing suicide as my only way out, if i didn't find a fix... and fast. My new primary doctor referred me to Dr Greg Mitchell, citing that she did not feel qualified to once again prescribe this desperate man [me] Venlafaxine again. She was inspired. I was almost without hope when I first visited the Emerge Natural Health center. I was introduced to "New Medicine" as far as I was concerned. It was a treatment vs a drug... LENS Therapy. I still tear up thinking about the profound effects this treatment has made in my life. This is not a band-aid for my PTSD-C, it's a cure. I had my thyroid checked and did some blood tests but doctors told me that I was either "depressed" or that it was just a sign that I was "getting older." Sauna temps were nice and hot and there were multiple clean cold plunges with nearby showers for good hygiene. Comfortable places to lounge and recover and the night sky frames by the trees was glorious.
