This was our third visit to an Urban Air location, and the Laurel location is by far the biggest one we've been to. It's a newer facility with plenty of parking, a different layout than Frederick, and lots of attractions. The two-level go-kart track looked awesome, the climbing attractions were fun, and the kids had a great time overall. The employees working the attractions were friendly and did a good job interacting with the kids. Unfortunately, the operational side of our visit brought the experience down. We spent over 30 minutes trying to purchase an arcade game card because one of the kiosks kept freezing. There was a sign saying it might run slowly, but this was much more than "a few seconds." After notifying the front desk, we still had to wait quite a while before the issue was resolved, cutting into our play time. I also noticed several attractions were closed or out of order, and there didn't seem to be many employees walking the floor if guests had questions or needed assistance. While the staff at the attractions were great, finding help elsewhere wasn't easy. One thing that stood out was the amount of police presence around the property. I also noticed broken auto glass in the parking lot and numerous signs throughout the entrance stating that no guns or weapons were allowed. While I understand businesses post policies for safety, seeing so many signs along with the other observations made the atmosphere feel a little less comfortable than other locations we've visited. Overall, everyone still had fun, and that's what matters most. The facility itself has a lot to offer, but I think improving the guest experience, fixing equipment more quickly, and having more staff available would make a big difference. My daughter's Girl Scout troop planned an outing for all of the girls. We had a party room however, all of the food items came out late. This was my first time here for both my daughter and I. This place is huge and very very busy with multiple attractions. You will definitely will lose your child here if you don't keep up with them. They jumped, climbed and I think the go cart cars was her favorite. This was her first time driving the go cart car and I told her she officially has her Go Cart license. Very Fun!!! If you're willing to pay the price, wait in lines, and listen to lots of noise, check this place out. If you want to save money and a headache, go to a public park. My eight-year-old daughter and I stopped by on our way to Baltimore from D.C. Here's our experience. 1) Admission: Check in was smooth and the waiver stations are easy to navigate. We paid just over $75 for the two of us to do all the activities via the platinum tickets. It's pricey, but since it wasn't busy at first, they didn't enforce the two-hour limit. We stayed for five. 2) Space: The photos online look better than in real life. Some of the areas are run down like the warrior courses, ball pit, and the trampolines. The laser tag is small and needs a renovation. 80% of the arcade games were broken. So was the air hockey table. 3) Activities: Most of it was underwhelming. Again, it all looks cool, but the experience was lacking. My daughter enjoyed the rope course for a second. She did enjoy the warrior course. If you to the zip line thing, it hurts! We can back twice in one week. The first week showed us how to move responsibly within the time allotted. Not this was a Monday so they were alot less people. We were able to get on all the big games: VR, laser tag, zip line, and go karts. I'll be honest the go karts are not worth it it's you are looking for speed or looking to see how you did against other people. The go karts are terrific for young child and adults that just want to have a little fun. The wait is about 30 mins whether it's alot of people there if a small amount. Just had my son's birthday party and it was okay...only bc we had it on a weeknight when there were few people. I couldn't imagine coming during a busy time. What really frustrates me is that I paid for a Platinum party but only 1 of the premier activities was available: go karts. Half of the laser tag vests were broken and no one was manning the VR station. We only got to play a little laser tag after tracking someone down to help us. The party coordination was extremely lack luster, from start to finish. Communication, process, all very 'on the spot' and not well thought: i.e. they told us to sign waivers before we got there and then were told that wouldn't suffice bc they had a process by where they needed a printed out receipt. This normally wouldn't be a big deal except many kids carpooled and their guardians weren't there to fill information out again...so I had to go through and figure that all out. All of the staff did not care to be there. Very "I'm just here for the paycheck" mentality. That being said, my son and his friends had a blast at the other non-staffed activities. I decided to take my family to Urban Air today just to get out of the house and have some fun. I bought the Platinum Pass so that we could enjoy all of the games and rides inside of Urban Air. The cost for 3 people (2 adults; 1 child for 3 Platinum Passes was roughly $130 bucks when you round up to the nearest dollar. In addition to that we bought 3 slices of cheese pizza (1 for each of us), 1 tray basket of popcorn (for our daughter), 3 carbonated beverages (1 for each of us), 1 Waffle Fry (for me that I didn't eat because they were cold and dry), and 1 bottle of water (for me). The Go Karts here are so much different than they are in other states. These Go Karts are super controlled. As an adult, I might as well not even have my foot on the gas because they're controlling your speed continuously throughout your ride. This sucked so bad. It took the fun out of it for me and my husband. I can understand controlling the kids cars because they're inexperienced drivers and most are unsure of what to do. My family and I didn't ride together and that's what I wanted but my husband told me to go ahead. He and our daughter raced together. As I was coming in the kart assistant yelled, "Go over there on that side!!" I said, "Lane 1?!" Kart Guy points and yells, "That side!" Dude doesn't know his left from his right? Lane 1 from Lane 2? What in tarn?! As I'm pulling up the black guy assistant yells at me, "Aye!! The exit is this way!!" I turned to him to say, "I'm getting my fanny pack bag from my husband before he takes off!!!" He shrugs, "Oh okay." And proceeded to look down at a device in his hand. 1st of all, although I peeped the exit when I got on to the ride, these guys did not even do a walk through to say these are where your exits are when the ride is over. Half of the workers that are working in this establishment act as though they don't even want to be here. They weren't smiling, they weren't really engaging, and they weren't fun. There were a couple of them that were but the rest of them, they had no enthusiasm, no drive, no fun about them. I was standing in line to put my daughter on the zipline and I found out that the father and the son that was in line behind me had just had a birthday party because one of the guests came up and thanked them for inviting them because she was going to leave with her family. I wish the young man a happy birthday and I gave him $5.00 bucks. It was all the cash I had on me at the time. His father said I didn't have to do that and he thanked me as did his son. I know I didn't but I just felt like I wanted to. My daughter and I played the VR roller coaster game. That's $10 bucks a game and you only get a few seconds to choose which roller coaster you want to ride. We also played the Nerf game and motorcycle race game for $1.75 per player. Worst Experience Ever I had the worst experience at Urban Air for my son's 5th birthday party. The food was late, and they removed the two pizzas I had ordered. When I asked why, they initially claimed it was because the pizzas were gluten-free (which I did not order) and said they don't serve gluten-free options on Saturdays. When I clarified this mistake, they refused to take accountability and instead tried to charge me again to add the pizzas back to the order. Their staff argued with me about paying for their error instead of resolving the issue professionally. The customer service was absolutely terrible. Absolutely not worth the price. We recently held a birthday party here for around 18 kids, and unfortunately I really have nothing but CONS to share about this place. I'll try to find some positives if I can. * DIRTY: Every... single... chair... every chair in the party room was stained and filthy. They were also fairly old. They need to be replaced. Cleaned would be a bare minimum! * OVERPRICED: This endeavor cost us about four figures. FOUR! And what did we get for that? Two fewer pitchers of beverage than we were promised, mediocre pizza, and exactly one bottle of water per anticipated child guest (none for the parents). And they have big signs expressly forbidding outside food and drink. So, be prepared to overpay for very little in the way of refreshments. * STAFF EXPERIENCE: Literally no one who worked there looked like they wanted to be there. I don't mean they have to walk around with huge smiles all fake and such... but, they were all miserable! It showed in their walk, their talk, their attitude... just a sad group of kids and young adults. * WEED?: Yeah, the place smelled strongly of weed. I don't know if this was wafting in from the outside, but I doubt it... we were far removed from the front doors. Whether it was from the staff, through the vents, or from a staff room nearby, I cannot say. But, it was pervasive and really annoying. * HANDGUNS??: The security staff had handguns. No joke. And not stun guns that only looked like handguns. But, actual guns. I guess growing up around DC and Baltimore, I'm kind of used to it, but I know it's still triggering to some, so be forewarned. (What kind of issues do they have here at an indoor kids facility???) Okay, I actually do have a PRO to share. Our party coordinator who was there on site, Layla I think... she was great. She was super friendly, helpful, and did pretty much everything to get the room set up. I didn't mind adding a tip at the end because of her efforts. But, she was really the only bright spot. I guess in the end the kids had a great time, and I think that's all that really matters. Hence the one star, which it definitely earned. For the cost, though, you might think it would include ALL experiences and a scan card for the video games. It did not, though. I was told that a 1 year old baby -- that I was holding -- needed to have Urban Air socks even though she clearly wasn't playing. A kid running with joy? Blow the whistle! Review: A Disappointing Experience at Urban Air, Laurel, MD - Staff Lacked Empathy and Urgency Today, we were invited to a birthday party at Urban Air in Laurel, Maryland, to celebrate one of my son's school friends. The facility itself has great potential for fun -- the kids were excited, the attractions were engaging, and the setup looked ideal for a party. Unfortunately, a situation involving my son's lost Apple Watch turned what should have been a joyful celebration into a frustrating and stressful experience due to the lack of empathy and poor communication from the staff. At one point during the party, my son removed his Apple Watch and briefly left it on the party table. In what felt like a blink of an eye, the employee assigned to our party came over and began clearing the table -- a completely normal action, except she did so without noticing or checking for personal items. While she did come across a cell phone and set it aside, she apparently missed the watch and unknowingly discarded it. As soon as my son realized his watch was missing, we acted quickly. We retraced our steps and were confident the watch had not left the premises. That's when the real frustration began. I approached the first manager on duty and explained what had happened. Rather than showing concern or offering assistance, she seemed visibly annoyed, as if the situation was an inconvenience to her. She asked me to "give her a minute" but didn't explain where she was going or what she planned to do. I asked if I could go with someone to check the trash area in case the watch had been accidentally thrown away, but she did not give me a direct response or allow me to accompany anyone. While waiting, another manager -- a male -- arrived. I had to explain the situation all over again, which added to the feeling that there was no proper communication or urgency among the staff. I reiterated that we believed the watch was still somewhere inside the building and again requested to check where the trash had been taken, but we were not given clear or direct answers. It felt like no one wanted to take accountability or take the situation seriously. The most frustrating part was the complete lack of empathy. At no point did anyone express concern, apologize, or try to comfort my son, who was understandably upset. It wasn't just about the monetary value of the watch -- it was about how the situation was handled, especially in a place that caters to children and families. Eventually, after a lot of persistence on our part, the watch was located -- it had been removed with the trash but was thankfully still within the facility. While we were relieved to have it back, the experience left a sour taste. What could have been handled with compassion, urgency, and clear communication turned into an unnecessarily stressful ordeal. Urban Air should consider training their staff on how to handle lost items and, more importantly, how to treat guests with empathy and professionalism during these situations. Accidents happen -- we understand that -- but how they're handled makes all the difference. Instead of checking the trash bin we asked about, he brought us to a room containing three black trash bags -- which weren't even from the party rooms. I told him I wanted to check the bags myself, but he dismissed it and kept repeating that I should just fill out a lost and found form in case someone returned it. This made no sense -- the watch hadn't been taken by someone else; it was still pinging from inside their trash. Eventually, frustrated by the lack of help, I took the initiative to speak to a member of the cleaning crew. Thankfully, this person was kind and willing to assist. He personally led me to the area where all party trash was collected. As he helped check the bags, we activated the sound feature on the watch and were finally able to hear it ringing. Thanks to him, we recovered the watch. I sincerely appreciate his help -- he was the only person who showed real concern and took action. What shocked me even more was the attitude of many employees there -- several looked visibly unhappy, and it blew my mind how disconnected and disinterested they seemed, especially in a place meant for children and families. To top it all off, the male manager who had been unhelpful and dismissive actually asked me twice to leave a review, seemingly under the impression that he had handled the situation well. When he approached me a second time -- while I was sitting calmly outside Room #1, where the next party had already started -- I politely said I'd write a review later. He appeared visibly annoyed and told the new party host to ask us to move away from the door party room #1, which felt completely rude and unnecessary. We weren't in the way or causing any disruption -- we were just trying to regroup after an extremely frustrating ordeal. To be honest, this entire experience was incredibly disappointing. Huge indoor playground for children! We walked in. There is a time period in the afternoon where you have to have tickets to access the park, this is to control the number of people inside. But that time period is listed on their website. Plenty of parking in the lot in front of the building There are various levels of "tickets" that you can purchase, which allows you access to some or all of the areas in the park. Food was made to order basically. Tables to eat were clean. There were no hand sanitizing stations that I saw through out the play area. We had the deluxe ticket and it didn't offer quite much, outside of the playround, warrior course and trampolines but the kids had fun. There was also an attraction that was included but was closed. A few birthday parties were going on. It was kind of hard hearing which parties were ready for food tho over the speaker system. No time limit for how long you could be there, we ended up staying for 3 hours. read more

I have been here multiple times for birthday parties and my kids previously enjoyed. I had my 5 year old party here today. Unfortunately, their food policy is not clear as some outside food is allowed but not all. They then "informed" me that the policy says $200. I told them no problem, I will take the food out. They send the manager over and they say no we are charging $250 and then threatens to call security. I was shocked that we were being treated this poorly for a misunderstanding that could have been be easily addressed. I wasted about 45 minutes of my child's party time discussing this poorly worded policy which DOES NOT mention this fine amount. Brought my daughter (10) and niece (8) here as we were looking for something fun to do. This was our first time but we registered and bought our tickets online before arriving. It's in an older shopping center but there is lots of parking. This place has a lot to do; trampolines, climbing, VR, laser tag, zip line, ninja course, and go karts!! There were a variety of trampoline areas (basic, basketball dunk, dodgeball, and a couple of others) and a variety of climbing structures. I think I had more fun than the kids did. The cool part was there were no time limits and on the day we were there it was relatively empty (which was surprising since it was a Saturday). For all of the things where the kids are up off the ground, the staff did a great job of getting the kids all harnessed up to make sure that they were safe. I think the girls really enjoy the zip line and trampolines. My favorite were the go karts as the cars would go pretty fast and the track was 2 level. Great concept but the efficiency's here are agonizing. We came on a Saturday, and were pleasantly exhausted with the atmosphere. Lines were long in all spaces. Everything is overstimulation and there is no general supervision whatsoever. Kids zip line across the ceiling while also running through you on the ground with no spacial awareness. It's A-LOT! Staff are friendly, nice and accommodating, but they are very young. The urban cafe has the longest wait in the century of waits, and don't be surprised if they canceled hot food or even run out of food, while you're standing in the 40 minute line. Surprisingly, the food was not bad, with options are similar to other kid indoor play venues. There is a myriad of activities for the kiddos, and the massage chairs at the front are a nice touch. Pro tip - you will have to get a parent pass to explore with the smaller kids. Go carts speeds are slowed depending on the age group. The entry price was decent and the kids had a great time, so I guess that is what counts... if all else fails at least there is a liquor store next-door. #enjoygoodpeople read more

Since the park opened at noon and the party started at noon, I wish there was a bit more communication regarding being able to come in and set up the party table. Let me be clear. This is a great concept for a business but the execution of this location is horrible. Many of the attractions are closed or unattended if you buy the highest package. I paid $29.99 for a band per child (5) and everyone was allowed on every single thing. They have a huge open area and construction where a bowling alley and go-kart are supposed to be. It is easily accessible by children and not closed off. There is trash all over the place and in the trampoline and play areas. Masks are not enforced and nothing is sanitized. A kid was stuck on the rock climbing wall for 15 minutes trying to get assistance getting off. The attendants were texting and on Instagram. There was ripped padding and missing padding from the trampoline areas. The ball pits are dirty and the netting was separated from the play areas. We attended a family birthday party this Sunday. Being trampoline park aficionados we have high standards. Urban Air was very appealing. The open space, the food was actually good for a kid lower level play area!! The food was fresh and they offered many options! After the reviews about this place, I was nervous to host my daughters birthday here but I was pleasantly surprised how well it turned out! The party host/manger checked on us several times to make sure everything was going good. The pizza came at the exact time they said it would and the rooms were clean and bright! Everyone in our party said it was the best birthday they've ever been to. We ended up going with the platinum package and the kids did the Go-Karts over 5 times and the Laser Tag so it was well worth it. Aside from the actual party - the entire staff was so attentive and sweet. My daughter swung too hard when coming down on the rock climbing and hit the wall, immediately the staff member came to check on her. Went here today for my nephews birthday party and while the kids had fun, the place was a disorganized, chaotic mess. When we got to the party room, we didn't have enough cups, no utensils, and every time we needed something we couldn't find our "party attendant". It turns out May Madness is more important than working. Our room also didn't have a trash can so all the trash kept piling up. The attractions were the only reason this got more than 1 star. They were fun. I would have liked to see more cleaning during COVID however. A ton of the people weren't wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly and no one was telling them to put them on or pull them up . It was clear the staff could not care less about their jobs. I wish I could give zero stars. We recently had our son's birthday at the Urban Air park in Laurel, MD. I have never been so disappointed in a venue. Upon arrival, there was zero organization and the park seemed over capacity. We arrived to our private room 15 minutes before the party (as we were told). With ZERO decor set up. Our package promised balloon and decor yet no decor was ever provided and they brought in 4 balloons and placed it on a table. The park itself was dirty and upkept. The most upsetting issue of all is that we witnessed several weapons being brought in by guests (as there was ZERO security check). There was also a fight about to occur between a guest and employee. We quickly brought the kids into the private room for food and cake and left promptly after that. This was incredibly disappointing and not worth the money spent. read more

1st time here. Came on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30. The line was super long with 1 person working, I stood in line for almost 20 minutes!!!! My son had a generic pair of grip socks but I was told I had to pay $4 for THEIR grip socks. At other places the price for the socks are included in the entrance price. At first I thought they made you buy the grip socks to recognize who paid, however they gave you a wristband for that, I was super irritated!!! The space was big and spacious with different play areas. They have an obstacle course, go karts, ball pit obstacle course, dodge ball trampoline section and a very small regular trampoline section. They have a separate area for bday parties. Other areas for you to sit and eat however the floors were dirty and sticky and the place had just opened so the floors couldn't have been mopped the night before or that morning before opening. There was no one coming around to clean or sweep. I can't rate the food bc I didn't buy any but my son thought the pizza was good but he's 9 sooo...yeah.
