The service was great! Lovely space and a great place to dine. The downstairs was absolutely gorgeous especially with the christmas decor. The drink menu is full of so many options however the food menu is on the slim side. Either way , we had a great time !

Certainly an interesting venue with a lot of history. The beer overall was very good. Nice selection. Something for everyone perhaps. We sat right in the main bar. Decent service. Some nice craft for selections. Would definitely come back if I was in Limerick again. Easy walk from our hotel.

    Sticky toffee pudding.

This place was near our hotel, which seems to be in a virtual food desert. The duck was excellent, although the portion was small. The endive salad and goat cheese salad was also very good. The sticky toffee pudding was very good. The fried calamari appetizer was very good. They initially seated us upstairs, on the ground floor, which is mainly a bar and was way too loud. We asked to be moved downstairs and, after some brief, light resistance, were given a table downstairs, where it was much more comfortable. This is our third day in Dublin and this was our best meal so far.

Amazing presentation of the Blueberry Dacquoise dessert! Subtle flavor and balanced sweetness. Well done . I didn't expect a brewing company to serve elevated desserts. I love surprises.

    Excellent beer and fantastic tapas

Urban Brewing has the most attentive staff in Dublin. The food was incredible and the beer selection was amazing. That other brewery restaurant can't hold a candle to the quality and service here. The smoked halibut chowder was sublime. You really should stop by if get a chance.

    Duo of Beef is amazing!

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. My wife and I have been here 6-7 times and generally order the food and beer pairing menu. The four course meals are perfectly paired with their craft beers. The starters are generally a tuna, followed by some raw fish. The main has been a duo of Irish beef followed by a cake with a caramel sauce. I could eat this every day, but would have to exercise a lot to keep my weight down! The beers are amazing from the saison to the red IPA. I was sad recently they were fully booked on a Sunday night, so plan ahead and book a table. I love this place!

    Pork cheek slider tapas

Craft beer tasting with tapas! As you walk up to Urban Brewing, the place is just buzzing with energy. Outdoor sitting with fun music flows out of the establishment. While their is a full dining menu, I opted to descend underground to enjoy their tapas offering. It takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust to the dimmer lighting. But when it does, the scene is amazing. You pass a cage of wine and spirits, then enter into what was a former underground storage area for the shipyard. Curved wall tunnels are brightly decorated with food photos. They have about a dozen craft brews on tap. For €12, you can do a beer sampler flight and choose 4 brews. I went with the O'Hare lager, O'Hare nitro amber, O'Hare stout, and another lager similar to Heineken. All of the beers had a distinct profile that were unique and delicious. My favorite was the amber nitro. Feeling peckish, I tried a range of tapas with prices ranging from €5-€12 per plate. The winners in my book were the polenta fries, rump steak and pork cheek slider. Service was attentive and friendly. Water glasses were refreshed regularly and food came out quickly. I think this place is a gem of a find. Great to go with friends where you can sample and share. Will be back to try more!

A craft beer geek's happy spot (not to sound redundant) that radiates spiritual purity and wonderment. A splendid place to try some beers by breweries of whom you may never have heard previously, but will if you can find this pleasure, little treasure. We were fortunate as human individuals that our Airbnb was located two floors above Brogan's -- and three floors above Underdog. No need for taxis after a late-night drinking spree, we could just stumble up the flights of stairs to our Airbnb and pass out. When you research the bars and locations of the Airbnbs you're considering, you find yourself at an incredible advantage. But I digress. To locate, you need to find Brogan's, which is down the street from the Olympia Theatre. Once you enter the front door, immediately turn to your left and walk down the flight of stairs into the cellar. You will turn right and walk down a hallway and arrive at the bar the Underdog. To reiterate, they have a massive craft beer selection from breweries I had never heard before, located in Ireland, the UK, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, and other countries. My choices comprised The Wild Beer Company Tepache Sour; the Boundary Brewing Whose Idea Was This? Double IPA, and the Mikkeller Peter, Pale, and Mary (PPM) Pale Ale. The first two came from breweries from whom I've never heard before, while everyone knows about Mikkeller and their penchant for producing excellent craft beer from their location in Denmark. The Tepeche was quite remarkable -- a perfect balance of funky brett with a zesty spiciness and sweet pineapple. The Evercreech, Somerset, England-brewery put something together that was special. The Whose Idea Was This? was a tasty beer, full of happiness and life, with lots of grapefruit and other citruses that made the beer from the Belfast-based brewery (Boundary) burst with juicy goodness. The PPM from Mikkeller was solid and an excellent way to close the tab. Underdog has the definitive coolness factor where you need to know where you're going to find it. Amongst the myriad of bars, pubs, restaurants, supper houses, and the like in Temple Bar, Dublin City Centre, Underdog is a massive find. Their craft beer selection is tops and should be sought after for those who love a delicious craft beer that they've never tried before.

When we first arrived, we were put into a queue (& I would suggest getting a reservation). We went through very quickly and were told a short snippet before the tour. Then we were free to explore. This entire tour really immersed you through the brewing process. I learned so much about my favorite beer! At one of the floors, youre able to smell the aromas, and then understand the best way to taste guinness, it was so fun! My favorite floor was the marketing or branding floor- I love the campaigns and backgrounds behind them. This was also great for various photo ops. You end out the tour on the 7th floor, at the bar. This gives you an entire 360 view of Dublin, and one you can only see with a ticket. You also get a free guinness (or other beer from them)! I loved this tour, all of the staff was great, and I will go every time im in Dublin!!

You walk through a self guided tour which explains the process of making the beer and the origins of the company. You get a ticket for a beer of soft drink which can be redeemed at the top floor. Once you get there you can see the view of Dublin which is very nice, however it is crowded as hell so you may not find a seat to take in the view. The gift shop is very nice. We got quite a few souvenirs for the family.

Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.
