A friend and I went here for lunch. We had a reservation and were seated right away. It's a nice atmosphere and we were seated on the patio. We both had the fish and chips which was good, as was the service. Gratuity was included in the bill.

Start with the good... The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is very friendly as well. The food is also good. What I don't like is the amount of food they REQUIRE you to order. Each person is REQUIRED to order one main dish and two side dishes PER PERSON! That is way too much food. The portions of the mains and sides are large. None of us could finish the food the make you buy. This should also be rated above two $$. It's expensive by the time you have to order all of these rounds of food. It was over $400 euro for four people. One main, two sides, and one drink per person. I wouldn't do this place again.

    Beer!

Large place with indoor and outdoor seating - the basement has a really cool, cave-like vibe to it, and the bar is impressively large. We only got the cheese plate, but the food going to the other tables looked decent. Beer was just OK.

One of the coolest atmospheres for a restaurant. The service was perfect and great recommendations. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. Will eat here again!

    Underground seating

This place was really great. Service and food was well above my expectations based on the price. Prepare to read a novel when picking your beverage. They definitely showed up to show out. And the underground dining room was very unique and comfortable. We had to eat in a hurry to catch a train and they absolutely made that possible, but we are going back tonight just to get the full experience. EDIT: we went back and the downstairs dining was booked so we ate outside. It was a beautiful day, but unfortunately the service didn't work out as well. The food was amazing, but our server barely visited us. He didn't drop off our food (which is fine) but he didn't ever come check on us until we had finished our main course. We were very disappointed as the service really impacted our perception of the value vs. price. And it wasn't even that busy (see outdoor pic)

While visiting Ireland we had our first dinner here and it was amazing! First off the place is so cool with lots of history. Second the place was decorated for Christmas and they out did themselves. It was beautiful!!! Then the service was amazing. The prices were fantastic. We split mushroom risotto, helium cheese and the steak. Everything was sooo delicious. If I lived in Ireland I would eat here frequently!

The service was great! Lovely space and a great place to dine. The downstairs was absolutely gorgeous especially with the christmas decor. The drink menu is full of so many options however the food menu is on the slim side. Either way , we had a great time !

Certainly an interesting venue with a lot of history. The beer overall was very good. Nice selection. Something for everyone perhaps. We sat right in the main bar. Decent service. Some nice craft for selections. Would definitely come back if I was in Limerick again. Easy walk from our hotel.

    Sticky toffee pudding.

This place was near our hotel, which seems to be in a virtual food desert. The duck was excellent, although the portion was small. The endive salad and goat cheese salad was also very good. The sticky toffee pudding was very good. The fried calamari appetizer was very good. They initially seated us upstairs, on the ground floor, which is mainly a bar and was way too loud. We asked to be moved downstairs and, after some brief, light resistance, were given a table downstairs, where it was much more comfortable. This is our third day in Dublin and this was our best meal so far.

Amazing presentation of the Blueberry Dacquoise dessert! Subtle flavor and balanced sweetness. Well done . I didn't expect a brewing company to serve elevated desserts. I love surprises.

    Excellent beer and fantastic tapas

Urban Brewing has the most attentive staff in Dublin. The food was incredible and the beer selection was amazing. That other brewery restaurant can't hold a candle to the quality and service here. The smoked halibut chowder was sublime. You really should stop by if get a chance.

    Duo of Beef is amazing!

It's a pretty small place and it feels very hidden so making a reservation is probably a good idea. How it works: walk downstairs (look for the neon sign that says "sshhh!") and GENTLY press the pig head on your left at the bottom to open the secret door. Our server was a gem and helped us navigate the extensive craft cocktail menu-I LOVED THE "breakfast of champions " and my wife enjoyed the noonin which was a bit of a riff on a margarita. We started with the creamy burratta with grilled pears and bread-heavenly and so fresh. For mains I got the pasta with beef and onions(yum!), but the standout was the braised short ribs with creamy mashed potatoes-amazing! -and at €30 a fantastic value. In fact everything was very reasonably priced and cocktails were only €15 each. Out entire bill was just €120-at least 50% less than a comparable meal at a quality restaurant in the US. Highly recommended (shhh!)

My husband and I stopped by for dinner and I ordered a caesar salad and their fish chowder. The caesar was great but my gosh the fish chowder and accompanying brown bread rocked my socks. So, much so, that I did what I never do--I revisited this spot more than once on the same trip (so many places to explore I almost never do this!). That fish chowder is craveable. They do live music on occasion as well and so we were able to enjoy that while sipping our Guinness. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. They aren't as small as they look at first glance, on one of our visits, we sat upstairs which has a second dining area. Amazing! Get to it!

Had to excuse ourselves from the table multiple times to freshen drinks. The food was good. Once again, absolute star was the Buffalo Wings! Ireland? I mean what??? Perfectly cooked, sauced nicely, just spectacular! The band was playing a mix and of Irish Music and American Rock songs played to Irish tunes. Very fun and well engaged with the crowd. The restaurant itself is cozy and very warm. A great night was had by all!

But Yelp calls it "No Name Bar." Late at night, this is the place to be. The music is loud, the place is hoppin', and everyone is movin' and groovin'. It's LOADS of fun, I can't express that enough - but it DOES get packed! If you are staying in Kelly's Hotel up above it, you MUST visit at least once to see what all the fuss is and why your hotel room is rattling until 2 or 3 in the morning. They have DJs playing every Friday and Saturday "from 10pm until late" as it's billed on their website. It's connected to the hotel, so if you are staying there, you can just head down the stairs to enter. The entrance is JUST past the sidewalk patio for L'Gueuleton.
