Was in Denver for literally 9 hours and some clients brought us here for breakfast. It was delicious!!! Urban Egg is spacious, clean, the service is excellent and the food is incredible. Everything is reasonably priced for what you get. I had the chicken and eggs which is basically a fried chicken breast with gravy and it comes accompanied by some hash browns and eggs. I ate the entire thing - and the odd part was I did not feel sluggish afterwards! Everything is made with fresh, quality ingredients, that is one thing that stood out to me. The chicken breast was perfectly fried and crispy, yet still very juicy and the flavor on the gravy was the cherry on top. The coffee was also great, and it was plain ol roasted hot coffee. The folks I was with had pancakes, omelettes and the breakfast tacos with chorizo which had a nice kick. The bathroom has a very cool wishing wall which I liked, although I don't know about people using the same pens, and papers after using the restroom, but it was a nice touch. Let me just say this place completely lived up to the hype. We ordered a couple of food items. I had the huevos rancheros with both green and red sauce. My husband had the southwestern Benedict and we shared a flight of pancakes. We decided to go with the cinnamon swirl , the Hawaiian and the blueberry. These pancakes were amazing and melted in your mouth. All of them had flavors that truly complimented one another. The hazelnut cold brew with vanilla cold foam is definitely a must. When we first got there it was super busy, which was expected during weekend brunch time. The blonde hostess with the spray tan completely ignored us after meeting eyes with us. Great customer service. The male hostess was friendly and greeted us. My friend got the steak and eggs and she said it was incredible. I got a plain breakfast with eggs, chorizo and hash browns. I did not expect the chorizo to come in crumbles. I thought that was weird. The pancake was pretty good with the butter and syrup combined. I love that they give toddlers little coloring tablets. Our server was amazing, I totally forgot his name. He was male with glasses and was working really hard on a lot of tables. Shoutout to him. This is one of my very favorite breakfast spots around... and there are SO many to choose from, so that says a lot! I try a different adult breakfast cocktail every time I visit and have yet to be disappointed. The pineapple mimosas are my go-to, but this Coconut Dream Pie coffee cocktail was pretty freaking amazing! Coffee and Liquor? Sign me up! I love everything I've ever tried on the menu, but what I keep going back to is the Egg White Frittata from the Lighter Side menu. The side salad that comes along with it is SOOOO good. Why can't I figure out how to make my own salads taste this good at home? Love the coffee and usually buy a bag to take home. Oh, and I've yet to have a server or hostess who wasn't A+ rated. My only complaint is the long wait time, but clearly that's the sign of a great place! The cinnamon pancake was a 3.5/5, the Hawaiian was a 4.5/5, and the cheesecake pancake was unfortunately a 2/5 for me! I feel like the cheesecake pancake could be a lot better. I came to Colorado recently to hike the Rockies and found this gem near Aurora. Their beet juice is a 10/10. It was the freshest I've ever had. Their fried chicken waffles were really good as well. The service is great - there was a mishap with an avocado egg plate that we had ordered where it came with a fly on it but the server was kind enough to take the plate away, bring out a fresh one, and dock it off the bill. Yelp waitlist worked well but once we arrived to the restaurant the two people at the host stand were a bit distracted and not checking people in or seating with any amount of coordination. Once at our table, the service was prompt and friendly. Ordered the carnitas bowl and a burrito with chorizo - both were very good and excellent portions! The coffee here is also really good. It is loud, but made better if you have a booth for two off to the side. The place is popular. The food has been a little hit or miss. I have had the breakfast tacos and wasn't really impressed. I feel like they lacked flavor. This last time I got the chicken and egg. That dish was bomb! It was a lot of food too. It ended up being two meals for me. I would say the best thing about this place though is definitely the service. Came here around noon time thinking no one would want breakfast on a weekday midday! Was I wrong the place was packed! I ordered: Heavenly dew with ginger - they have a juicer and the drink is made with real fruit. Wow did it tasted amazing!!! Came here for a late breakfast at around 11ish or so, and this place was still pretty packed. Fortunately you can book a reservation online prior to walking in, so we were able to get seated right away. It's definitely lacking in the crab department, if they said a dusting of crab, that would be a better description of the dish. Eggs were cooked well. Sauce was good. Everything worked well, but it was just lacking on crab. Their tomatoe bisque soup was not good at all. It was extremely thin. And lacking in flavor. When the airport tomato bisque tastes better you know you have issues. Their blueberry pancake was actually pretty good. Didn't need syrup at all. Had a great amount of toppings as well blueberry in it. Nice and fluffy but also had a good amount of crunch as well. It was pretty good. Great atmosphere. A lot of conversations going around. Waited about 50 minutes on a snowy Sunday afternoon. I added myself to the yelp waitlist at 12pm. There was coffee and water in the waiting area which was a nice perk. Crispy French Toast with real maple syrup (extra $1.99) - the French toast is covered with corn flakes which added a nice texture. It was topped with lemon curd and raspberry coulis. I tried it first without the maple syrup and the lemon and raspberry flavors were strong. I tried it with the maple syrup and I couldn't even taste it because of the lemon curd and raspberry coulis. It was good but I wish they had the lemon curd and raspberry coulis on the side because a little of both went a long way. 3 eggs omelette w/ bacon, hash browns, and sourdough - a good omelette but the thing to highlight is the hash browns. Exceptional breakfast spot! So far, a favorite in Denver and one of my all time favorites! Loved how we can join the waitlist through Yelp and we didn't have to wait all that long. Very crowded with potential long waits early morning and all day on weekends. However they do have a waitlist, although we have found it's more of a suggestion than reality. The Cure juice was absolutely phenomenal to the point that I'm going to try to recreate it. The breakfast bowl was so good & filling. There are countless ways to modify it, so you can't go wrong. Brioche toast w jam is the way to go. The Urban Egg part of the logo on the exterior was hard to read, so we passed it up not realizing A Daytime Eatery was part of the name. The staff here is always excellent. Whether I have come with a group of friends or dined with my infants, everyone is very accommodating and kind. Their selection of food is great, and they have unique choices that you don't find everywhere. I've never been disappointed with anything I have tried here. It is a busy busy restaurant on the weekends. Expect a line out the door. No reservations, you must use the waitlist here on Yelp. So that speaks to how popular it is. I can be a little louder since it's always crowded but I still always enjoy it. There is a small patio on the east side of the restaurant.
