We slid into this place late morning on. Monday. We joined the waitlist via the app but that did not seem to matter. We waited about five mi ute to sit and was met within a fee minutes by a swift waitress saying she'd be with us soon. We decided to have brunch cocktail and also ordered the food. I ordered an egg-white omelette with spinach and onion, bacon (delicious) and a pancake in place of toast (). Others had a breakfast bowl and chicken and eggs. The restaurant is ultra modern (wood, concrete and black iron light fixtures, but felt a bit like a bar restaurant (shades were drawn). The drinks came first and all were liked except the mimosa made with sparkling wine? he said tastes like beer. My pineapple martini was delicious! The food was swiftly served and was warm. Urban egg is your run of the mill breakfast restaurant. (Think, Denny's, Perkins, or iHOP) they had a decent sized breakfast menu with a few lunch options, but it is very clear from the menu (and name) breakfast is their game. The interior feels familiar, buzzing with the usual business of a breakfast/brunch spot on the weekend (which is when we visited). And the service was average, we had a friendly and attentive server who clearly had a full load of tables but did a great job. The food was good, but as previously mentioned the same caliber of food you can find at many of the chain brands that serve the same specialty. Price was also very reasonable and portions were fair but not overly generous. TL:DR - run of the mill breakfast place. A good option for weekend breakfast and brunch. read more

Wasn't expecting much but it had good yelp reviews. Great job yelpers! I went pretty early in the morning but they were open and it was kind of a cool neighborhood with shops and condos. I must have seen 30 people walking dogs while I was there. The menu had so many options but I finally settled on breakfast enchiladas with hashbrowns. I was so happy with it. It was just all around delicious and made just how I like it. The staff checked in a few times and was very nice. Wanted to have a good breakfast and decided to come here seeing the reviews on Yelp. The place was pretty much jam packed even on a weekday. We were seated quickly and ordered their:- 3 egg breakfast:- Had the eggs as omelette with onions & cheese with a side of avocados, hash browns & Brioche bread. Eggs were cooked nicely, and on that brioche bread just yum. Avocado toast:- A little let down as I thought it would come with 2-3 slices of it but rather came with one slice of toast and a large serving of salad. Stuffed french toast:- Yum Yum Good food. I was torn on what to get between the breakfast burrito or the chicken and waffle benedict, the waitress said those were excellent choices but based on her description, I went with the chicken and waffles. I was blown away. Such a perfect balance of salty and sweet. The chicken was cooked to perfection, very tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. I think these might be the BEST chicken and waffles I've had my entire life. I also tried their coconut dream pie coffee cocktail. It was delicious. Their coffee is excellent. My only two issues are I asked for my hash browns crispy and they brought them out still white I return them when they come back out I get a message from the waiter the kitchen said if they cook them anymore they'll be burnt. (Thinking Huh, that's what a Chef said huh) but yet they burnt my waffle and tried to hide it. Who's running this clown car? Smfh. So obviously they know how to crisp up some stuff. When we first got there it was super busy, which was expected during weekend brunch time. The blonde hostess with the spray tan completely ignored us after meeting eyes with us. Great customer service. The male hostess was friendly and greeted us. My friend got the steak and eggs and she said it was incredible. I got a plain breakfast with eggs, chorizo and hash browns. I did not expect the chorizo to come in crumbles. I thought that was weird. The pancake was pretty good with the butter and syrup combined. I love that they give toddlers little coloring tablets. Our server was amazing, I totally forgot his name. He was male with glasses and was working really hard on a lot of tables. Shoutout to him. We have been here twice with friends. Plus- The service is good. The food is generally very tasty and well cooked.The menu has lots of choices and some GF options. The coffee is good. They have a nice location with lots of seating (but they do get full at breakfast - so go early and expect a small wait. Their crab cake Benedict is awesome. Minus- the hot chocolate was likewarm- fine if a child orders, but not for an adult. We ordered a dish GF and it was 10 minutes before were informed there was gluten in it and had to choose another. Then everyone else's stuff was served first. (Although it was a plus that they did flag it!). The traditional Benedict (first visit) had a sauce that tasted off. I'm a bit picky when it comes to breakfast food/brunch because I feel like a lot of time, I'm paying a lot of money for something I can easily make at home, but their menu is more complicated then your normal pancake and eggs. We were visiting my FIL and had a lot of time to spare a few mornings; and we stumbled on Urban Egg near our hotel in The Springs. It is such a cool spot, eclectic crowd, busy and the food was great. I had the yogurt parfait and it was such a cute presentation on a board! I'm a big iced tea fan, so I highly recommend the mango tea--really good, not overly sweet. Hubby had the three-egg breakfast. The portions are great without being over the top. Despite the 100% full capacity (or at least from my perspective), the service was great. Urban Egg has a diverse menu, so it was hard for hubby to decide on his pick. Soooo, we went back the next day to their Tech Center location. Equally great experience. I did a scramble and it didn't disappoint. Can't wait for my next visit to Colorado and return to Urban Egg. This is a dog-friendly (in the patio at least) eatery with very reasonable prices in what is otherwise a very expensive city. I had the 3 egg breakfast, which came with your choice of meat (the list of which is so long it's not printed on the menu and will amaze you when the wait staff lists it!), and 2 large slices of your choice bread - only $12 before tax. Everything done your way and delicious. The service is good - the waitress even came out with a bowl of water when she greeted us.
