The food was good, solid in an average sort of way. Nothing memorable other than the bacon was previously cooked and completely cold and wilted when served. Pretty sad since I never eat bacon and I was really looking forward to the treat! The Belgian waffle was tasty, but it wasn't thick and fluffy like a Belgian waffle should be, it was a thinner waffle made with the Belgian waffle sweetness. Eggs were good. I think what stood out the most was the service was really friendly and pleasant. Food arrived relatively quickly. Coffee was weak, but on the plus side they give you a pitcher for self refills. This is a cute spot that has non stop families coming in and out. The staff are great and always friendly, everyone is smiling and helpful and many of the patrons know the staff as they come in. The food is delicious, I got the Meter Reader and it was great, I should have gotten a side of the green chili though with it as it looked amazing. Used to be Better. We Moved to Colorado Springs almost 16 years ago. This was a favorite breakfast place. Most of the staff we have com to know and love. Today will be the last time for me. We had a newer waitress today was okay until it came to bring out our food. One of the other waitresses delivered our food finally after waiting 40 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. Both of our plates came out cold and the waitress that delivered our food brought mine back. My plate came back with warm food, I suspect the eggs were thrown back on the grill and arrived overcooked. When I went to try my second piece of toast there was some sort of food debris on it. It was pretty disgusting to think of what might have happened! I said something when our waitress finally reappeared to take away our plates, she said she would ask someone...she never came back. The inside is a normal looking restaurant.. but this place was completely filled with people. The service was very good, they got our food and drinks out within 15 minutes. The staff was super friendly. Now the food, the food was delicious. Came in on a busy Saturday, was sat briefly and given a fair amount of time to look over the menu before our order was taken. The restaurant itself carries a very home-like vibe and appears to have a very loyal group of regulars. It can be loud, but not obnoxious in my opinion. The food itself was great. The biscuits and gravy were quite good. The gravy was thick enough to my liking & the biscuits were well cooked. The gravy had sausage bits that were chunky and a little big for my taste, but it still was incredible. Those who like their b&g with adequate pepper might want to add some at the table. I asked for the eggs over medium and they were actually over medium, while not being rubbery. Not pictured was three pancakes, they were about hand sized and not bad. I got the steak eggs Benedict ($19) and they confirmed I wanted the eggs medium and poached like you usually get with eggs Benedict. This is what I was served. I took one bite and it tasted like a hard boiled egg with no seasoning. The hash browns had ZERO salt so I had to season them at the table with salt and pepper but they still needed some garlic powder or something, anything. The steak was tender but extremely overcooked with zero pink. My daughter ordered the "mountain french toast" and was super disappointed when they brought a single piece of bread to her with a little bit of egg on it. I wouldn't recommend it. I would like to note that my server was wonderful and that I decided to order a sandwich to go instead but it ruined my mommy daughter breakfast that I only get once a week. read more

Our office always orders breakfast for Saturdays. That being said, they always forget or get our items wrong but we love to support local, so we throw it under the rug. They forgot a co workers food so we call and the manger at 9:00 am was a total DICK to me and our office manger. THEY BLAMED US FOR FORGETTING OUR FOOD. The manager cursed at us and yelled at us over the phone for their mistake. They always mess up the food and are terrible when you ask them about it. The manger was so rude and talked over us the whole time and showed no self control. Honestly feel bad for a miserable life. Sadly, we always like to support local people, but this place is terrible and has a terrible attitude. They show no accountability what so ever! read more

While visiting Colorado Springs with my wife to see our son stationed there at Fort Carson, we all went out to have a nice breakfast near our hotel. I found Wade's Cafe on Yelp, and so that is where we went. And we were glad we did. That Saturday morning it was packed, and we had about a 20-minute wait to get seated. But it was worth it and we all enjoyed our breakfasts. After beverages, my wife ordered the Mountain French Toast, my son had an order of French toast and the Pigs in a Blanket, and I ordered the Chili and Cheese omelet. We were waited on by Kelly who really hustled and took care of us well, and after bringing out the hot food we chowed down. My omelet was excellent, and my wife enjoyed her French toast, an egg, and sausage. My son inhaled his food as well but apparently wasn't fond of his 'eggy French toast' (his description, not mine.) The food and service are good, very good. My complaint has to do with not seating a customer if they are waiting on people. I can understand that type of policy on the weekends, they are slammed on the weekends, but when it's mid week and aren't busy? I asked for a table, all the booths were taken, and when I said it was for me and a friend was coming the 'hostess' pointed to a sign behind her that stated they did not seat incomplete parties. it's absolute BS! First of all, they said they have the best prices but by the time you add everything up is still $30 a person with coffee and orange juice. when I hated most was the employee cleaning up the floors while we were eating. Leaving piles of dirt every other few steps next to where the other customers were eating at their tables or booths. Totally disgusting. The bathroom is also filthy. The Customer Service was very good. The food was OK, but I would not come back , my son was there just this Sunday said the same thing. Still 30 bucks a person and disappointing and we turned out to have the same thing and it was something we could've made it home and it would've been flavorful and less money! I don't know what happened to this place, but the quality went down. I was so disappointed. And it was an hour before closing time so that's an excuse. If you're going to serve food until 2 o'clock, for example then start cleaning after all the customers leave, not when they are still coming in to eat lunch. I used to love this place! Today, it was such a disappointment. Our order was seemingly lost, the server didn't say anything. Our son ordered kids French toast which was super underwhelming... just a plain French toast without anything for $5.99. And a side of fruits for additional $2.5 or so. Husband ordered pancakes, which had definitely gotten smaller than before. Tiny pancakes with eggs for $10. Save your money and go to other places! My toasts had a string of hair on it. I'm very sad and disappointed because it was one of our favorite places to go, all servers are usually so friendly and sweet. But not the lady this morning. Came here for a Sunday brunch and arrived around 11:30. Looked quite busy, but we were seated in less than 5 minutes in a nice spot on the outdoor patio. Our waitress was super friendly, and brought out waters very quickly. After that, once our orders were placed, we waited for a solid 30 minutes before any food was actually brought out. It seemed the tables around us had been waiting for awhile too because groups who had been seated before us also got their food really late. The food itself was quite filling. I ordered the corn beef hash, which was pretty good and the over easy eggs were just how I like it. Despite the food being filling & great, we waited for way too long to actually enjoy it. Biscuits and Gravy a "House Favorite" was the worst example of the dish I have ever encountered. Would have sent it back but there was so much wrong with it I doubted it could be salvaged. Biscuits were the size of half dollar coins (for millennials that's two quarters). Small, small biscuits. But it got worse! Gravy had one microscopic piece of sausage. Milky and runny. Happily, I'd only invested $6.00 and considered it a side order. Finishing the snack of mini-biscuits, I ordered "Breakfast Hash." 7 Mar 23 - stopped in for breakfast and although the restaurant was real busy we were seated pretty fast at a booth. I ordered the Egg McWade and my husband ordered the Meter Reader which was biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs and hash brown. We did not have to wait very long for both meals and our waitress, Kari was great. It was so noisy however because we had a group of men that were really loud sitting next to us. Food was okay, nothing outstanding and some of the portions were big. Their tables are too close together and we like peace and quiet when we go out to eat breakfast. read more
