I have driven past this place countless times and finally came in to check it out today. I ordered the veggie hash and am very happy with that selection. I also tried a bite of the meter reader and that was good too! Service was quick, prices were very fair, and we had good service. Bonus is they have plenty of parking.

This is a cute spot that has non stop families coming in and out. The staff are great and always friendly, everyone is smiling and helpful and many of the patrons know the staff as they come in. The food is delicious, I got the Meter Reader and it was great, I should have gotten a side of the green chili though with it as it looked amazing. We will certainly be back to try a few other things. The prices were great also for your portions, well worth it! Daniela G was very sweet and hooked us up with all the Cholula's, a must have addition for some great breakfast. Hah!

Breakfast Burrito and veggie omelet!

Used to be Better. We Moved to Colorado Springs almost 16 years ago. This was a favorite breakfast place. Most of the staff we have com to know and love. Today will be the last time for me. We had a newer waitress today was okay until it came to bring out our food. One of the other waitresses delivered our food finally after waiting 40 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. Both of our plates came out cold and the waitress that delivered our food brought mine back. My plate came back with warm food, I suspect the eggs were thrown back on the grill and arrived overcooked. When I went to try my second piece of toast there was some sort of food debris on it. It was pretty disgusting to think of what might have happened! I said something when our waitress finally reappeared to take away our plates, she said she would ask someone...she never came back. I left and my husband paid the bill. That will be my Last Time coming here.

Breakfast Hash with Toast

I came to Wade's Cafe for a birthday brunch. I've heard from other people this was the place to come for food and affordable breakfast eats. I can say they met my expectations and even surpassed what I was expecting. The service and staff were exceptional and were active with our huge group. I ordered the breakfast hash and for $12 I couldn't believe how much they gave. I'll definitely be back to try something else. Check this place out if you want hearty portions and are in need of a breakfast fix.

Came in this morning for breakfast. Great way to start the day. Homey vibe, classic diner flair with updated details. Service was nothing short of fabulous! I knew this spot was going to be good when I saw the jelly packets waiting at the table for me. Can't wait to come back!

Biscuits & Gravy

The inside is a normal looking restaurant.. but this place was completely filled with people. The service was very good, they got our food and drinks out within 15 minutes. The staff was super friendly. Now the food, the food was delicious. My husband is very picky when it comes to biscuits and gravy since he's from the south and he said that the biscuits were delicious. My roll ups (crepes) were delicious and perfectly cooked. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Came in on a busy Saturday, was sat briefly and given a fair amount of time to look over the menu before our order was taken. The restaurant itself carries a very home-like vibe and appears to have a very loyal group of regulars. It can be loud, but not obnoxious in my opinion. The food itself was great. The biscuits and gravy were quite good. The gravy was thick enough to my liking & the biscuits were well cooked. The gravy had sausage bits that were chunky and a little big for my taste, but it still was incredible. Those who like their b&g with adequate pepper might want to add some at the table. I asked for the eggs over medium and they were actually over medium, while not being rubbery. Not pictured was three pancakes, they were about hand sized and not bad. Although the syrup was very liquidy and runny for my taste. Overall service was good, prices were fair, and food gave off a very nice hole-in-the-wall vibe.

steak eggs Benedict ($19)

I decided to try a new breakfast place this time since everyone always teases me about getting the same breakfast once a week and I was disappointed. I got the steak eggs Benedict ($19) and they confirmed I wanted the eggs medium and poached like you usually get with eggs Benedict. This is what I was served. I took one bite and it tasted like a hard boiled egg with no seasoning. The hash browns had ZERO salt so I had to season them at the table with salt and pepper but they still needed some garlic powder or something, anything. The steak was tender but extremely overcooked with zero pink. My daughter ordered the "mountain french toast" and was super disappointed when they brought a single piece of bread to her with a little bit of egg on it. I wouldn't recommend it. I would like to note that my server was wonderful and that I decided to order a sandwich to go instead but it ruined my mommy daughter breakfast that I only get once a week.

Food was once good. Now not so much. Hot food served cold at the table. One server is worse than the others.

I tried the cold brew and it was stellar. The service was friendly as well. For food, I ordered the Cuban sandwich. It came out after about 10 minutes and it was HUGE. You order at the counter and then get a number to put at your table. There is a lot of seating, but I can imagine it fills up quickly on busy days. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte, which was ready very quickly. It was perfect. Our food took a very long time to arrive. I appreciate that the staff kept me updated that our order was still being worked on, but it took almost 50 minutes for our two items to arrive. They did offer us a coupon to use in the future for the trouble. We ordered the falafel and the chicken tenders. The falafel was very good, but I wish it came with more pita. This was a great lunch that filled me up without being too heavy. The chicken tenders were not great, and the chicken basically slid out of the breading as soon as my husband took a bite. I really liked the vibes of this spot, and even though there was a long wait, I appreciated the kindness of the staff when updating me about my order. We would not order the chicken tenders again, but I would love to try other things on the menu.

You walk in & you should review the menu prior & pay up front, and then your menu selections will be delivered to your table. It's a beautiful set up, it reminds me of a greenhouse there's large wooden tables, & smaller black tables in a glass encased area with several hanging plants. There are also many table/booth combinations inside. We ordered: Hobo sandwich with seasoned cubed potatoes Slice of quiche Side of season potatoes Beet salad (added grilled chicken) An iced tea Spicy chai Total was close to $80 average for brunch definitely not terrible once you see the quality of what comes out of the kitchen. Tasting it all was amazing - flavorful, thoughtfully prepared & great attention to detail including sourcing great ingredients and using the correct spices! This has been put on our no list now. When we ordered today, my son asked about Caesar salad and the woman at the counter did not say that they didn't have them. Then when they brought the food out, she said it's not an option. Why not say it when we ordered. Last time my bowl was missing the goat cheese, and I had to ask for it. I also added chicken and mushrooms to my bowl and I literally received about 5-6 mushrooms, which equals more than a dollar a mushroom. This time, my side salad was supposed to have balsamic and had another dressing. My son had the burger and said that the consistency was weird. My other son had the same sandwich he always has and the bread was different, though the menu didn't indicate that it was.

Figured I'd go before the farmers market across the street in Acacia Park. I got the bookworm latte and it was so good. I was worried it would be too sweet (it was a little sweet), but the brown sugar cinnamon syrup they make really balanced it out. It was so good. It was creamy, dreamy, and the caramel was decadent. I didn't get any food--just the coffee unfortunately, but I do plan on coming back! $7.25 (I think) for a latte is a bit pricey, but the drink is really good. So if you're gonna spend a bit extra, go there for a coffee instead of Starbucks. Service was quick for a long line and the hanging plants and lights made for such a great vibe.
