We finally got a chance to check out Urban Fuse since it took over One Milk Tea's spot. They kept most of the inside decor but added their name to the flower wall. Super cute for pictures! Plenty of indoor seating (booth and chairs). The menu is pretty large (coffee, tea, milk tea, lemonades and more). They have lots of food options as well. We went on a Saturday morning and it was only us at the time. We started ordering on the kiosk but had some questions about altering our order. There was only one person working and he wasn't very helpful. He couldn't understand what we were asking or how to help us. After what seemed like forever, we finished up our order and waited. I got the Pistachio Cream Cold Brew (not a fav). One of my daughters got Strawberry Lemonade & the other got Thai Tea (which was not her fav). For food, we decided on trying the mini donuts. They took forever and were hard. Maybe someone called out sick and the guy working doesn't usually help up front, but our first experience here was very disappointing. Where is the cheese in the Mac & Cheese? [Roseville CA] I didn't realize that One Milk Tea is no longer at this location. I purchased a Groupon deal for Urban Fuse and started to Google its location not realizing that it was the same place as One Milk Tea on Lead Hill (my daughter used to work at the former). I used my Groupon for a 24-oz Chocolate smoothie and got it fast. The sweetness was perfect, one that would not spike blood sugar levels (my opinion only). I chose to have it with brown sugar boba. The drink was made fresh but the boba pearls were hard. I also ordered a small size Mac & Cheese... unfortunately, it was very bland... it had the cheese pull but I can't taste the cheese! My mom and I shared the small serving and we couldn't finish it. Urban Fuse is my GOAT!! The owner is super chill, such a nice guy and took the time to explain the additional options to me and made sure I wanted 0% sweetener before I ordered. Also this is one of the few places that is open late and I'm not talking about 10pm late they're open til 1:30am which is nice when you tryna study and don't wanna open up yo laptop in In-n-Out or Cane's. Super peaceful, quiet, and lots of seating with a large table to get work done. Not gatekeeping this place cuz it's my fav and they deserve the business! Also if you sit at the window there's a ton of outlets to charge so another plus. Restroom is also clean. They also have a food menu here as well. I decided on a genmaicha milk tea for myself with 75% sweetness. It was still on the sweeter side so I would recommend going lower than your usual preference. I also ordered a taro smoothie for my kids but wanted to split it in two cups. She had to check with her manager, or maybe the owner? Which is fine, but I've never had an issue splitting a drink for my kids at other places. It seemed to be an issue and they were talking back and forth in Spanish. They assumed I wouldn't understand which in fact I do understand some. I know it requires an extra cup so I offered to pay for the extra cup if needed. They said they wanted to figure out how to make it look full but I'm not asking for a bigger amount of smoothie, I just want it split into two cups. My kids don't care if the cup looks full. After that, that manager or owner was just sitting in the bar seating and when I looked up he was glaring at us and then looked away. We had kids with us but we cleaned everything up including the games that are available for customers to play. Drinks weren't terrible but also nothing unique. When I saw on Google that there was a boba shop still open at 9:30pm (until 1am, actually) I knew we had to check it out. It was easy to find with plenty of parking. Inside, it was clean, brightly lit and had very cute decor. Louis helped us and was very accommodating, ensuring that we were happy with our drink choices since it was our first time there. They offer 25% off between the hours of 10pm-1am, and there's a BOGO deal if you download and use the app. We got their Horchata Aguas Fresca and a Wintermelon Milk Tea, which was good except next time I'm going to get it much less sweeter. Lovely place, classy and stylish design, great ambiance inside for hangouts. Service was fantastic and place was nicely clean. Why the 3 stars, then? Compared to many other boba spots with teas and smoothies, I just wasn't impressed. Taro drinks taste was too subtle and the brown sugar drink I had was too strong with the tea itself, hardly tasted the brown sugar part. Had both drinks with normal amount of sugar, so no adjustments to either. My wife did enjoy the brown sugar drink that was blasting with tea flavor, so I guess it could just be preferential to say the least. As for my preference, just wasn't my cup of tea. I went in during open hours and the lights were off, and no one was behind the counter. An older guy came out a few minutes later, took our orders, and served us about 5-6 minutes after ordering two drinks. The first drink we ordered was the Thai milk tea with regular boba. The Thai milk tea looked more like carrot juice, and the boba was very old. We could tell due to the mushy texture, the fuzz, and discoloration of the boba. The tea itself was very watery, and did not resemble milk tea. The other drink we got was the brown sugar tiger milk tea. The tea itself was okay, but could have had more milk. The boba was the same as the Thai tea. The main difference were the visible white chunks at the bottom of the brown sugar tiger milk tea. I think both the service and the quality could improve greatly, but overall the store itself was decorated nicely. There was no music, however there were sufficient chairs and games. read more
