I loved how many latte options were on the menu; it made it hard to decide what to get because everything sounded so good. I was very happy with the creme brûlée latte and my Nutella s'mores macaron. The owner even came up to my friend and I and asked how we liked everything and told us what is to come for the grand opening next month. We've stopped by a few times now. I'd say it's 4.5 rounded up to a 5. It's a cute, contemporary, airy, bright space with lots of windows & natural light, especially from the rotunda entry. It makes for a really lovely setting to enjoy a treat. However, on a hot day & depending on the time, the sun can stream in strongly making it warm inside. Seating is at small tables, a low & high bar, & at outdoor tables with umbrellas along the front. They offer different kinds of beverages, macarons, baked goods, sweets, & gelato. Customer service has been good from staff who greet us & are friendly & helpful. On our first visit, the owner, Bao, introduced himself & shared info about the business & menu items. We've gotten the 1987, Biscoff Latte, & Thai Milk Tea. We've liked the coffee drinks a lot, but the Biscoff Latte has been inconsistently made with it being notably creamier the second time we got it. Still, it's been tasty. The Thai Milk Tea is fine, but I personally prefer a stronger tea flavor & less (non-dairy) creaminess. Note--If you request light ice, they explain that ingredients are weighed out to specifications, so the drink volume will be lower in the cup. We've tried several macarons. We also received a free one because apparently the macarons need to cure for 48 hours before serving & we had purchased one that was taken out too early. We were told to refrigerate it for a day before eating. The macaron shells are thicker, sturdier, & more substantial than usual French macarons. In general, they've been tasty & not overly sweet. They only have a cashless payment system. This is a nice spot that we enjoy coming back to for a yummy treat. read more

Excited to try this new place in the former Peet's location. The Ube matcha was devine! I never had one and was pleasantly surprised how good it tasted LOL I am sold on matcha y'all! The macaroons look great as well as their spin on macaroons and tiramisu? I will be back to try soon! A long time Rooftop fan....words cannot explain how excited I was to find out one was opening down the street from my house in Roseville!!!!! This location is next to Nugget Market and Mimosa House. It's easy to find and there's a ton of parking. They have tons of indoor and outdoor seating. It's spacious and bright inside. Don't forget to sign up for their Rewards Program while checking out!!! And they do not accept cash. My all time favorite is the Banana Coffee (not to be confused with the Banana Bread Latte, as they are completely different). My daughter loves their Earl Grey Matcha and Banana Matcha. Their MACramisu is a super fun and yummy twist on tiramisu using macarons. You gotta try them! My youngest loves the mini cheesecake bites. I was super excited to find out rooftop has another location located in Roseville which is 15 mins away from where I live (so dangerous) I fell in love with their early grey matcha and their smores macaron at their elk grove location and I fell In love with them again this time. I went during the first day of their soft opening, literally waited for their doors to open at 7. They were a little rough to start, new staff getting used to the flow, but Im sure it will be smooth with time. The overall space is open and bright with the skylight and large windows. I loved the macarons: tiramisu, pistachio, strawberry matcha and black sesame. Not your typical French macarons. These were less sweet and the texture was more of a chewy cookie which I actually enjoyed. They have alot of flavors and my favorite was the black sesame and strawberry matcha My husband tried the durian egg coffee and he loved it. It was like a Vietnamese iced coffee with subtle durian flavor. I wasn't a fan of the macamisu which is their spin of a macaron and tiramisu. I tried this place with my sister and it was a great experience. The person that took our order was very nice ,quick and honest. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing. It had lots of sun light with all the windows. We order several items to share The mini cheese cake cupcakes in 4 flavors we halted each of them and really liked them all especially the lemon raspberry one. Got a few macrons and our favorite was the ube one. The match with sesame was also very good. We will definitely come back to try more of the desserts and drinks. read more

Good coffee! This place is located in a pretty busy area near restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. There's plenty of parking. I had the coconut latte, perfect for this heat we're having. Omg!! I've been here twice already and they only opened Friday but I plan to come much more lol. Their matcha is INCREDIBLE- especially the banana bread matcha. It's the only banana matcha I've ever actually loved. The picture I got was only the creme brulee latte bc honestly I drank the matcha so fast! Okay, But Not My Favorite I tried Rooftop Macaroons and got the strawberry matcha. Overall, it was okay. I actually thought the strawberries were better quality than the matcha itself, which was a little disappointing because I was really looking forward to the drink. The staff also seemed a bit underwhelmed while working. The male cashier in particular looked exhausted and like he was ready to leave, which honestly kind of killed the vibe for me. I expected the atmosphere to have a little more energy and personality going in, especially for a place like this. I will update my review once I've tried the macarons, but from a first experience it was quite terrible. All I wanted was some macarons but needed to know which ones they had. They have a menu with a bunch but clearly from the display they do not have all of them available. And there are some card displays in the case display, but it's clear they do not tell you each one they have available. For example, there are 12 flavors available and only 8 display cards. It felt very awkward ordering as I was over by the display trying to understand which flavor was which and the guy I ordered from stayed over by the register and had a hard time hearing me. Just a bad way to handle ordering the macarons. It's not that difficult. Have a card displayed for each flavor you have available in the display case. Be better. Hoping they are delicious. Update. The macarons were not the best. I would say just ok. Definitely disappointed and will not be going back. Just being honest. read more

Located in the old Pete's building by the Nugget, this place is exactly what our community needed. I live in the neighborhood across the street and have never had a decent coffee joint within walking distance. I was skeptical at first because a macron place that also serves gelato and a bunch of other stuff doesn't usually also serve specialty coffee, too. To my surprise, they carry the same coffee from Four Score in old Roseville, which is my favorite local spot. This is now my second visit. Yesterday we brought the kids and tried all the sweet stuff. Macrons are incredible. Seriously incredible. The pistachio gelato is as good as any I've ever had. I even enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee drinks (although it's not my usual choice since they tend to have a lot of sugar). Today, skeptical and without the kids, I tried a simple iced americano and it was just as good as going to Four Score. The shot was pulled on their La Marzocco. In summary, speciality coffee and specialty coffee equipment within walking distance is a win already. The owner, Bao, was the cutest fella you've ever seen. Greeting everyone personally as we walked in. I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this fine establishment since i saw the words ROOFTOP MACARON (coffee tea and macarons) grace the walls of the husk of peet's coffee - a place previously known for its beautiful windows and natural lighting. a place philosophers would gather one may think. vietnamese people are fr on the up because why are these gyaaaaaas vietnamese places on every corner now. not that im complaining. i went on soft-opening.. the first day this fine establishment was open. running over with a completely empty stomach because there is no more effective digestive than a vietnamese coffee. i planned this ahead of time - i cleansed for it even. i took a day off because i knew that i needed to go to the inaugural day of ROOFTOP MACARON, ROSEVILLE. i lined up next to the grandiose domed building and knew for certain i was queueing for a life-changing event. the line was to the door for the first 2 hours, but once the rush stopped they were extremely efficient. we talked with Bao who informed us of their process and was extremely kind and chatty. we only waited 15 minute for our coffee. i ordered a durian egg cream coffee, the flavors are extremely pronounced. safe to say if you hate durian, it's going to be an experience. and if you love durian, it's going to be ecstasy. my whole car smelled like durian but the egg custard flavor wasnt overpowered. i dont think they use a durian powder or anything and it's rarer to find a legitimate and unabashed rich durian flavor. we did today at ROOFTOP. we also got the mango sticky rice matcha - the mango was fresh and the drink texture was almost viscous which was very reminiscent of actual mango sticky rice. The tiramisu macaron was the perfect light texture of macarons with great high feet. The macamisu (an ube tiramisu made out of macarons) - it's texturally unifying with some chewiness from the graham that made it intriguing to eat and gave it great mouth feel. they also have banana pudding flavored macarons!! there's a shortage of banana pudding flavored anything imo so this was great. their menu wasnt up yet because we arrived to early but they do have paper menus so be ready and be square. so happy to have a small and locally owned business situated in a great and centrally placed location. rosevilles macaron and coffee game just got 100-fold more competitive. read more

All I ordered at this establishment was a double shot espresso over ice and 1 creme brûlée macaron. 3 other guests who ordered after me got their beverages before me. My drink (which again, was just a double shot of espresso, not a latte or anything else) took 18 total minutes. The cost of my beverage was rang up as $9.10 (yes, this was the cost of the drink before the macaron was added), which was somehow more than the other extravagant drinks on the menu. When I asked about it, the cashier called another colleague over to check, and the price was reduced by 60¢. When the barista finally placed my drink on the counter, she simply said "Here." Zero customer service. Zero familiarity with espresso-based drinks. Zero chance I'll be returning. read more
