Joseph is very attentive to detail and gives the best pedicure and manicure in the greater Palm Springs Area. He doesn't speak much, but that is ok. He is completely focused on getting you the pedicure you want. He does not rush and the results are really good. I even had my favorite dining companion comment on how good my fingernails looked after the visit. Run, don't walk, to make an appointment with Joseph at Urban Nails. read more

Wanted to love this place - it had great reviews and was impressively clean. Staff was very friendly. However, I had this gel manicure done on Friday late afternoon and this is what it looks like today (Monday morning). Not only did the gel not last, it was poorly and unevenly applied. The other hand is the same. The manager did give me a discount and offered to redo it, but after our manicures and pedicures taking so long to begin with, we didn't want to stay even longer. They were very slow, which I wouldn't have minded if the end result was impressive. I would steer clear. read more

Randomly found this place while in the area for work. Joseph was able to squeeze me in for a gel pedi. He was super friendly and took his time (my nails were bad). The place was clean and has massage chairs which to me is always a bonus. It was just him in the store today and people kept coming in so my advice is to call and make an appointment first. I can totally see why he is busy. When in time I am coming back for sure. Wish I would of seen the yelp check in 20% before paying but it was worth it $40 for gel pedi read more

I'm pretty sure this was the best pedicure I've ever had. Owner was super detailed and meticulous. Communication was great. Was in Palm Springs on vacation and found one of the best in town. My pedicurist was very delicate yet was able to do a very efficient job sprucing up my feet. The foot massage was the best! Highly recommend and will come back whenever Im in town again. read more

While on vacation I called and spoke with Joseph. I made an appointment, which was super simple, and arrive a few minutes before my appointment. Joe was ready and greeted me when I walked in. The place was clean and neat. It was relaxing to have the place all by myself and Joe did an amazing job. His attention to detail was great. One of the best pedicures I've experienced. Left a message and got a text back within a few minutes. He was meticulous and never felt any discomfort (no mad-dash pushing/snipping cuticles). He took his time, care, and used professional products that worked well. If you're in town, don't hesitate to make an appointment! Ps-he had several Zoya nail polish colors, which isn't what I've found at other salons. read more

Was just OK at best. Owner hardly said two words during the entire pedicure although he seemed nice enough. The massage was minimal and would have expected better cuticle care. Polish lasted just a few days before it chipped and I had to remove it. Seemed clean which I do appreciate. I think I will try another shop next time. read more

I have been coming to Joseph for 7 years. I discovered him when we moved to Palm Springs. Even though we now live in Palm Desert I drive to Urban Nails as there is no one who can do my pedicure as well as Joseph. Sorry that someone recently gave 1 star as she was turned away due to Joseph having a client arriving in a few minutes. I appreciate that my time is respected and I do not have to wait. Joseph has loyal clients and does not accept walk-ins. I can highly recommend Joseph and if you have to wait a day or so for a pedicure, it's worth it!!! read more

Our total came out to $233, which felt extremely excessive for the services received. My friend's pedicure was listed at $60, mine was listed for $50 but adding gel polish was an additional $20 just for polish. I added gel polish to my hand and toes as well and ended up paying $60 total just for gel polish alone. There were no prices posted. I saw $50 plus $20 gel on a receipt. We were never informed of these additional charges beforehand. Had I known, I honestly would have declined or gone elsewhere. On top of that, the technician forgot to apply a top coat on one of my friend's toes, which shows a lack of attention to detail -- especially considering the high cost. Overall, the biggest issue for me was the lack of communication and transparency about pricing, combined with service that did not match the premium price point. Customers should be clearly informed of add-on costs before services begin.

We exchanged a few pleasantries but it was clear she wasn't interested in chatting further, which was fine. I needed to have gel polish removed and she used the drill. I've always known some nail techs and customers don't care for the drill, thinking that it takes off too much of the nail itself, but my personal experience with it has been wonderful. I've always had techs that were very cautious about only removing the polish. Sadly, my luck ran out at this salon. The tech was so aggressive that I actually had to pull my hand away a few times because of the heat. There were 2 fingernails, in particular, that I was afraid she had sanded so long that the nail itself would be paper thin. (I have really thick nails, so this usually isn't a concern.) The rest of the mani/pedi went well and I was pleased with the physical appearance of my nails. But my shellac started chipping off of those 2 fingernails after about 5-6 days. This is highly unusual for me. I can usually go at least 3-4 weeks with no chips. I decided to visit another salon to have the shellac soaked off to be safe. Sure enough, those two fingernails really were as paper thin as I suspected and I'm sure that's why my mani didn't last. My nail beds will grow out and recover, but it was a disappointing experience.
