    Q CARNE ASADA quesadilla
    Melissa G.

The times I have ordered have been for pick up - typically takes about 10-15 minutes for the food to be ready. This is a pretty new spot, but I always see people dining in. The staff is friendly. The horchatas are great, have not tried the other aguas frescas though. The tacos are decent, my favorite is the al pastor. The chicken taco is seasoned great but the chicken was slightly dry.

Ordered: Pollo Taco (~$3) Carne Asada Taco (~$3) Suadero Taco (~$3) Pollo Quesadilla (~$7) Carne Asada Quesadilla (~$8) Volcanes (~$4): with suadero Jarritos (~$3): passionfruit flavor Aya's take: Run don't walk to this absolutely delicious, no-frills Mexican taqueria! They've been open since February 2025 and it feels like the hype is picking up, so go asap! We arrived right at opening (12pm) and by 12:15pm, they might have already taken 10 orders. The staff is super friendly and works quick. The Tacos were good and so cheap! The Quesadillas were more than double the price but you get a lot more meat. As for the meats, the Pollo (chicken) was smoky, seasoned, and not dry at all. I also loved the Suadero (brisket) but there was so much fat in each bite. It definitely made it tasty and rich, but I wish the ratio of meat to fat was better. The Carne Asada was surprisingly dry. It wasn't bad at all but I didn't care for it. The real winner here was the Volcanes! If I come back, I could easily get 3 of those and call it a day. It was crispy on the outside, juicy and oozing with cheese on the inside, the cilantro & onions added a nice freshness in every bite too. They have 4 sauces to choose from which I topped on every single bite. It adds so much flavor, spice, and tang to each bite. None of them were particularly spicy so I would say try them all and see which you prefer. And of course, it wouldn't be a taqueria meal without a cold & crisp Jarritos. The Passionfruit flavor was refreshing, sweet, and light. They have a few tables inside to sit at or you can take it to-go. What a great try and I highly recommend checking them out!

Simple clean and delicious! The small tables could be upgraded, but if you can wait to get home, eat this food no problem. I can't. It's too good.

The tacos are spot on-fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meats, and authentic flavors that really hit. I tried: * Pastor (marinated pork) - juicy, flavorful, and balanced with pineapple, cilantro, and onion * Tripa (beef tripe) - tender and tasty * Carnitas (pork) - rich and melt-in-your-mouth * Suadero (brisket) - super soft and full of flavor The tortillas were soft but held everything together perfectly. Service was just as great, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The vibe is casual, super clean, and perfect for grabbing amazing tacos. If you're in Weehawken, this spot is a must. I'll definitely be back!

It is a great option if you are looking for a quick, affordable meal while in the area. We ordered three roasted pork tacos on corn tortillas with all the toppings, priced at about $5.50 each. The staff was friendly, and the tacos were prepared quickly right in front of us in the open kitchen. There is also a salsa station at the end of the restaurant, allowing you to customize your meal with additional toppings and sauces. The restaurant is set up primarily for quick dine-in or takeout, with a few picnic tables outside. We grabbed a table outdoors and enjoyed our meal there. The roasted pork tacos were excellent. They came with a green sauce that added a bit of a kick without overpowering the flavor of the meat. The pork itself was well seasoned, tender, and generously portioned. The tacos were so full that I ended up eating some of the pork with a fork before picking them up taco-style. I would definitely recommend Mexico Tacos for a quick, delicious, and reasonably priced meal. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the overall experience was great. I would happily return to try more of the menu.

It's an also an opportunity to thank Tacoria for the "small" nachos, currently $10 and not small. When I discovered the JC branch circa 2020 Uber delivery, it was definitely one of the cheapest non-pizza options in coastal NJ. The golden avocado is perhaps the best of the main ingredients but multiple versions benefit from the escabeche peppers. (I will confess that I have ordered different things partly for the sake of having non-duplicate Yelp photo ops). You'll also enjoy the hot sauces and guava basil beverage.

A cashier immediately tried to stop her from going, even though we were clearly customers already waiting in line to order. What made the situation worse was what happened next. A manager identified as Justin and another cashier began arguing about the situation in front of customers. Instead of calmly explaining any policy, the discussion turned into an awkward back-and-forth between staff members while we stood there waiting. The entire interaction became uncomfortable and embarrassing, and it felt like we were being treated as if we had done something wrong simply for asking to use the restroom while waiting to order. If the restaurant has a policy that restrooms are only for paying customers, that's completely understandable. However, there was no visible sign anywhere explaining that policy. Situations like this should be handled professionally and respectfully, especially when customers are already in line to make a purchase. What could have been a simple moment of customer service instead turned into an unnecessarily uncomfortable experience. I hope management reviews how staff communicate policies with customers and considers posting clear signage about restroom access so situations like this can be avoided in the future.

Our server was very on top of her stuff, making sure we had everything we needed and we were enjoying the food. She even let us practice our Spanish with her when ordering! My sister ordered the chicken tinga tacos and I ordered the beef birria. Both taco orders came with 5 tacos (because of the deal, it is typically 4), onions, cilantro, lime, and radish. Don't sleep on the radish, it my favorite part to add a nice crunch! Both meats were very flavorful and tender. They also gave us green and hot salsa on the side (green was my fave) and the birria tacos came with some delicious consommé for dipping. We also ordered guac and chips as an appetizer which was very fresh, and our favorite jarritos flavors to drink. It's decorated very nicely inside - no frills, a few tables and chairs inside for dining in and even a bar-style area with stools for those dining by themselves. They also offer takeout of course, but I honestly enjoyed sitting down because everything was very quick and they took great care of us. We walked, but there is only street parking so keep that in mind when traveling here.

Looking for a quick dinner, I decided to come here on a whim. Because it was raining pretty decently, I opted to eat inside. There's a small size dining area in the back, though the ordering area and hallway leading there is a bit narrow. Anyhow, for those who are new, the concept is similar to Chipotle, except that they create everything for you behind the scenes. I basically opted for the burrito bowl except with the vegan chorizo (Tacorizo). Before adding the sauces, the Tacorizo had a good amount of heat to it. I simply added the two mildest sauces and it was just enough. Bowl tasted great and it was obviously very filling. Good spot for a quick bite.

That being said, the habanero sweet orange sauce and the elite corn they have from the sides menu... Best things I ate there! I don't even know what that orange mayo like sauce was on that corn but it made me sad knowing I only had two cute baby corns to eat, I just wanted to keep getting kernels in my teeth for that cob. And the habanero sauce, was downright slurpable. I didn't bother drizzling when you can just take a shot of it after every bite of either taco, burrito, whatever you get. Had to separate this paragraph for the tacos I got. I got 4 tacos. A pollo pastor, a shredded chicken, regular pollo, and regular carne asada. Now pollo and carne asada, nothing too special. Standard but with the way they sauce it and present it, I can say solid taco. The pollo pastor...as someone who can't eat pork, this was a blast to eat. They use mini chunk pineapple and put a good amount of condiments to balance it all out. Chicken not dry and super flavorful. Also enjoy the single tortilla over double. Less carbs. Now that shredded chicken. While not dry, I don't know where that bite was taking me. I just wasn't feeling it and I can't pinpoint why. I don't know if it's the extra stuff on top of it, or the fact that the corn was my fave but the side sauces didn't help. I'd def come back for the other 3 but not that shredded one. That limonada was sooooo good and refreshing! I thought I'd get horchata when I had the chance but because that limonada was hitting right, didn't even bother. And the fact it's like unlimited refills if you get a drink, totally worth it! Overall, I appreciate the patience of the manager and cashier. They were really nice and helpful. The interior was sick too. Repurpose lockers for chairs. Baseball stadium chairs. Definitely tight but just right. I was struggling finding spots for Mexican food, I have a pretty high standard for it, but I'll give this a solid/perfection score lol
