I finally got a chance to tryout Urban Wings. I've passed this spot many times thinking I need to try it. The first thing I noticed was the decor when you go inside. It has a great Atlanta theme. The menu on the monitors was big and clear. When I placed my order the server was very nice and knew the menu perfectly. My food was brought out quickly. Everything was hot and fresh. The wings were great. I had the curly fries as a side. They were made to perfection. The lemonade was some of the best homemade lemonade I've ever had. The only thing I didn't love was that the mild sauce was a good bit hotter than what mild usually is. It wasn't bad, it just caught me off guard and wasn't quite what I was looking for. We each ordered a 6 piece with fries and onion rings as a side - what we got was a soggy mess thrown into containers. Order was completed on time, though, so that's good. Vegan tenders - really tasty. Almost like a gardein tender but with great flavor and sauce. Sides - tasty but smaller portions, really only meant for one person. The venue was celebrating their 1 year anniversary and the place was really clean on the inside. I ordered the 10 pc bone-in wings (5 Hotlanta and 5 Sweet garlic). I ordered the Oreo Churro. When I first experienced urban wings. The customer service was top tier. Family owned business in the neighborhood serving up some delicious wings! I went by today for some wings and the customer service and energy was just down right terrible. I walk in and the hostess/cashier sees me but she turns away. I stand at the register for about 10 minutes before the cashier looks at me like "okay order" never said "hey you want to order" I always give cashiers grace and I wait patiently for them to welcome me up. They could be busy wrapping up other orders. So I say hey can I have hot honey with lemon pepper sprinkles. Myself and my 3 children went there tonight at about 9:55pm, remind you they don't close until 10:30pm. The lady at the counter didn't acknowledge us right away she was continued her FaceTime phone call until she was r ready to acknowledge us. I was told that they've cut off the grill so the only options available were wings which that's not what we wanted. Moral of the story is you're in the business to make money and service your customers until you close. There's no way I should've been allowed to take 4 orders worth of revenue somewhere else that served their full menu until they close. Finally had the chance to try their new location on Piedmont Road next to Fat Mac. I tried bone-in 12piece Mangolisous and the Pickle Fries. Have been back multiple times and tried almost all of their flavors. Have not come across one that I didn't like. Also had the onion rings and waffle fries and they were both really good. So far my favorite flavor wings have been Korea Town, Bourbon Braves, Italian Pride, Mangolicious, Jamaica Me Crazy, Hotlanta, and Extra Hot. Don't let the sauce names fool you. I've ordered wings from here many times, and the wings are pretty good, but they're not spectacular. It's missing some thing. I'm not sure what. I've tried several flavors, the worst was jerk chicken. It was nothing like jerk chicken unfortunately. The fries are good, although they are often not hot. The waffle fries are pretty good. They also don't make their own blue cheese dressing and they charge you for extra. Mozzarella sticks are pretty good too. I definitely recommend them although I've had better. read more

I DO NOT recommend this location. Wings were raw cashier had a nasty attitude, and this place just seemed overall unhygienic.. I have been to the other location they're clean they respectable and I've never had a problem with their food. I went to their truck today in Sugar Hill, GA and it was a horrible experience. First, after waiting 25 minutes to order, they told us that they weren't making Philly sandwiches, then they told us they had no fries, only tater tots. After we paid, I noticed that I got changed an extra $2 for curly fries. So, I said something to the lady and she said it was for the tater tots, it was automatically changed. When the original managers/owner was here this place was great. Now that they have new management or new ownership I will never come here again. Are used to come here four times a week. I've been here twice this past week. The first time my order took 30 minutes and there was no one here in the store. Today I went and they told me they're not taking any orders inside the lobby. The last couple of times the wings were over cooked and overly salty (so much salt I could barely eat them). Unfortunately, don't look to receive good customer service. My wings were BURNT, no dip( I guess they figured I wouldn't need it) there were 5 mushrooms in my box, small as heck, the lemonade was never given to the driver and the fries were not fried long enough because they were extremely soggy and pale. Of course I can't speak to the ambiance since I did not go in person I was very excited for this experience and though I would like to blame it on a delivery service, the issues I experienced have nothing to do with that. I can't say it left anything to desire for me to give them a second chance. I ordered food from your 2065 Defoors Ferry Road Northwest location at 12:49 and got to the restaurant to pick it up at 1:50. Fazeep( I'm not 100% sure of the spelling) was sitting down on his cell phone and got up to hand me my food. The bag was sitting in the counter. Which I thought was strange because, for a restaurant, I thought it would at least be in a warmer. Once I got to the car, I noticed the fries were comically cold. I quickly went inside to kindly ask for fresh fries because the fries I was given were cold. He said "yea, because they've been sitting." I asked, "do you have a warmer?" He said "no". Then he said "well, I'm going to have to drop these fries back in the fryer" as if, that was the bare minimum that he was going to do. I asked, "you mean reusing the same old fries?" He said, "yes"! I didn't even bother to question him any more. I just asked for a full refund. There was no apology, nothing. He didn't care to get my service, so why should I care to spend my money here any longer? I'm posting this review anywhere I can, because this lack of customer service or care is 100% unacceptable. Also, if they were willing to serve cold fries and then reuse them after they have been sitting, how do we know that the food you are serving is cared for properly on the daily basis?
