This is a quaint neighborhood spot. I stopped by on the way home along with a few college students. The place was mostly empty and to go orders were flooding in. I came in for the special. 10 wings and fries combo for 11.99. With tax and the added $1 for splitting the wings into two sauce groups it came to 14.99. If you like crispy wings I would get the dry seasoning. I tried old bay because I had never seen it as an option for wings. But I wouldn't recommend it. The hot sauce was better although the wings weren't as crisp with the wet sauce. The crinkle fries were cooked well and the blue cheese was up to standard. I might visit here again to try the deviled eggs or one of the deli sandwiches. Maybe even a dessert, the cakes looked pretty moist. The interior has seen better days so take your food To go or let the "vintage" sandwich shop vibe sink in. The parking lot is surely big enough to bring friends. read more

After visiting them for years during lunch hours when I was on their side of town, my last visit revealed to me that it's time for us to part ways. Patrick's was never fancy or upscale place, but you could count on them for a pretty good lunch for what you paid for. I recently stopped through and ordered the 6in sandwich, 5 wings, fries, and drink combo. After tax, I'm over $16. Ok, sign of the times and it is was it is, I'm hungry. I got the cheesesteak and hot honey wings. I got a scattering of steak & cheese on my now larger than life roll. I will say the roll was very fresh. PETA should be called because Patrick is murdering chicks as soon as they come out the egg! I remember their wings being larger, and these were teeny tiny! Also, if you order a fountain drink, you are now limited to one refill (they put a mark on your cup). If I could give this place a ZERO that's exactly what they would get! Whoever gave this place 5 stars has clearly not ever had a real cheesesteak or one even close to it! Read this and tell me how our bill came to $31.20. I basically had a bread sandwich because the meat was so scare it was ridiculous, onion rings which were obviously cooked in OLD grease, 5 OK wings, a salad and 2 drinks. I had to look at the bill at least three times! I was so disgusted with the food and the service when ordering we just left. I was in the area and this place was recommended by a friend. When I'm trying a new place, I like to play it safe to see how it goes. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and fries (the Atlanta staple & the safest option at a wing place) The wings were nice size, not too small, not too big. They were fried just right, crispy but not dried out or burnt. The lemon pepper flavor was there, not too salty, just enough wetness but not soggy with a whole lot of juice in the container spilling out. Overall, the food was good. We stopped to eat here en route to visiting Westside Reservoir Park. It is located on a corner and has its own dedicated parking lot. It is hard to exit back to Collier Road if you are heading west. The shop appears to occupy what was originally some other fast food franchise - possibly a Mrs. Winners? There's nothing wrong with the space, other than it looks old - like it could use a good deep cleaning. The lady who took our order was friendly and cheerful. We had originally thought about getting food to-go but opted to eat in. They have one or two TVs on, and it was tuned to MMA, which I thought was a slightly unusual choice for a Saturday at lunch. I got a Philly, which was okay. I thought it was a little light on the cheese. It is in the same league as Jersey Mike's though I'd give JM's the edge. My wife got a chicken sandwich (I think) and liked it. Portions were appropriate. They had various sides, including chips. Be advised that the wings are tiny and I like small wings. I ordered 30 wings for 3 people as I've done for the last 10 years. When I looked at them, they were extremely small. I could've eaten them by myself in one settings. I called back to complain and I was told that they have small wings and it not their fault. I spent $43 for a snack. I went here for lunch decided to try someplace new that has been in the area for a long time instead of JerseyMikes. I like that the place has some history. It's been around for a while, but I don't like the fact that it hasn't been cleaned since it opened. The place is filthy. The bathroom was one of the worst I've ever been in and I've been in plenty of truckstops. The walls were caving in for crying out loud. I had a sub, which was again mediocre for the price, a soda which did not have the right amount of carbonation in it just an overall sub par experience. We are in the process of moving and packed up all our dishes, so we've been trying places around the apartment before we are gone for good. I ordered the 10pc wings combo (hot), with shrimp fried rice and a sweet tea. I liked the wings. They were breaded then sauced, but the breading wasn't obnoxious like some places. The sauce was not exactly spicy and had a slight sweetness to it, but I enjoyed it.The shrimp fried rice was tasty and the shrimp were a decent size. My partner got the philly cheesesteak and gave it a 2.5/5. She said that it was the "bare minimum" and she wished that it had more veggies and peppers, but that you also "get what you pay for". She did say the fries were really good. We both got teas for our drink, one sweet, one unsweet and they tasted *exactly* the same. Like, no difference at all... I had a 6 piece medium wing and a Philly cheese steak. It was so good and the ladies who took/gave me my order were super sweet. You can tell people have been coming there for years, they knew some of the customers and their children by name when they walked in the door. Drive by every time I go to Piedmont, finally decided to make that move. Thought it was a sub shop and nothing else, but it's cool, they had plenty of other items. I got the Reuben. This place looks completely sketchy and not any place I would normally walk into comfortably, but my friends all said it was worth a try, so we came here for sammies and it was empty... I mean it. The place could use a coat of pain and a thorough update, but otherwise it is clean and open and well-lit. It looks like any sandwich shop you would expect. We went through the line (much like you would at Subway) and I decided on the cheesesteak. For some reason, a hot sandwich was calling my name. I chose all the toppings and opted for fries. Yum. We sat down and waited for the food. It took some time (probably since I ordered a hot sandwich and fries), but soon enough we had our trays. This was not the best sandwich I've ever had, nor was it in the top 20. It was a decent cheesesteak. The meat was chewy and hard to bit through, but the flavor was pretty good. The bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. It was gooey and cheesy - definitely got points for that. It could have used more toppings (mushrooms and peppers). The fries were great - they were your typical Ore-Ida crinkle-cut fries, but they were nicely fried. Sure it looks like it's seen some things from the outside. The food and the service however are top notch. I usually get some sort of cold cut sandwich and a side of fried rice. They slice the meat right in front of you, and the bread is always fresh. The side of fried rice is more like a family buffet size portion and will usually feed me for 3/4 meals. The interior is always clean and welcoming. The owners seem to know their neighbors and are always friendly with the regulars. Try it out. You'll be happy! read more

Finally decided to try Patrick's after driving past every single day. Inside is definitely looks like 1973. A cluttered, run down 1973. But the people are friendly and the prices are fair. You just have to kind of overlook the atmosphere. I tried the wings and fries. The mild wings were really good, despite some of wings looks a little weird. I mean they are clearly the misfits of the chicken wing factory. With all the photos of happy customers or old customers to the mom and pop of the children know running, if you are a minority like all the staff, don't expect to be treated in the same regards as customers in the majority. Accidentally stumbled across this place while exploring my neighborhood one day and decided to stop in. Just for the record, if my trainer sees this - I ate here before my workouts/diet started. When you walk in, you might be a little taken back by the interior (a tad bit outdated and old) but the food gives off a totally different vibe. I tried the chicken philly ($7/8) with fries and it was bomb. The menu is very diverse and literally makes you want to try something new each time.
