Customer service was good. My turkey club sandwich was pretty good but I wasn't a fan of the bread. It was a little moist and chewy. I opted for the soup as my side instead of the salad and afterwords noticed I was charged almost $5 for that option. I really liked the dragon fruit drink. Excellent customer care by Chris, delivered on time and the sandwiches and salads were super fresh and VERY delicious! How about those deluxe chocolate chip cookies!!! Yeah! A little disappointed. I don't think they should offer curbside if they aren't going to honor it. When you order curbside online it says to wait in your car someone will bring it out to you..... Nice fresh food that doesn't leave you feeling overwhelmingly full, just the right amount. I've tried the Banh Mi sandwich which captures the flavors, but still prefer it on the traditional French baguette. Also tried the Cranberry Brie sandwich and enjoyed the complexity of flavors. A welcome addition to the area, this place has potential. I put in a mobile order for a curbside pickup. The few parking spaces reserved for pickup were all taken, so I parked a couple of cars over in the lot. I anticipated about a 15 minute wait after putting in the order. After waiting about 5-10 more minutes past my "order ready" time, I ended up calling to find out if the order was ready. That was when someone came out with the order. They apologized, but said they tend to overlook mobile orders. Hoping this service is something they are making progress with. read more

I love coming here since most of their selections are healthy. Sandwiches and soups are great! I'm taking one star off due to the presentation of the food when you dine in. I'm not so fond of the disposable plates and bowl when the food is served when dining in. Especially when receiving the hot soup in the wax lined paper bowl. First time going to Urbane Cafe and I'll be honest the expectations were moderate; however, coming to this one exceeded even my best. Lana was super kind and patient and even after we received our food came by to see how everything was. This location was clean was very clean and I hope it can stay like this especially being by a middle school, high school and college. I've seen other food places deteriorate because of this unfortunately. The food was delicious. I like that the sandwiches come with a side of salad which was simple but delicious. I am someone that sometimes doesn't have time to properly cook, and wanting to eat healthier options, this place has been a dream. As of late, I've ordered at least twice a week. I've had a chunk of the menu, and these are my favorites; Sandwiches: Best ones in my opinion are the Cranberry Brie and Pastrami Tri-Tip. I always order these, but they also have a good variety of other sandwiches as well depending on your taste. Salads/Bowls: Their new antioxidant salad is delicious, but my favorite would be the Salmon Bowl. The sweet potatoes, kale and everything else just tastes delicious with the aioli. Sides: Their cookies (esp Lemon Cooler) are good, and I also love the Batch Soda there. I mainly order to-go/delivery/pick-up, but when I am actually there for a brief moment the service and always very nice and helpful. We've been needing a fast and convenient health alternative around the area, and this definitely the place. I heavily recommend this place. read more

Good sandwiches, i really enjoyed the different selections they had for their meals. BUT, about a week and a half ago at this location, we got their blue cheese dressing at this location with our salad. It was the worst blue cheese I've ever had, I don't know if they make in house or outsource it, but my dirty socks could have made a better blue ranch. They seriously need to taste test their products if they make it in house, and if it was outsourced, get a better vendor. Brought my star selection from a 4 to a 2 because of this disgusting blue cheese. The blue was so bad, it had me question how long this brand of restaurant had been open and I was shocked to hear the answer and their motto, 2003 and wanted a niche place with sandwiches and salads! Seriously, quality control your dressings! Surprised it made it from 2003 to now with that dressing and if they made it in house and that's their main recipe, seriously need to discipline that person who made it that day (not fired, just made to do the dishes for a few weeks) or change the recipe. Oh, one more thing, if the restaurant is going to advertise in having a pastrami sandwich, put it on a rye made bread, made in the same manner as their other bread, instead of that standard everything bread they use, that was not satisfying at all, and made me wonder what in the hell they were thinking with that sandwich, won't do that selection EVER again, just weird and not the same.. why would they not put it on RYE! read more

The food was good but the employees were rude from the minute we walked in we'd always have to drive to the one in 5375 Napa st but this one in Chula Vista is closer to us anyways it's terrible I have two autistic babies and they were being a little fussy and I can hear the staff talking bad about my kids and making jokes how they are glad they don't have kids when my autistic 10 year old went to ask for napkins and the chips that we hadn't gotten the lady was extremely rude. I'm extremely disappointed because I was hoping we were gonna love it here. The restaurant was empty when we were eating there so for them to be that rude to us It didn't make sense but I guess that's just how these people want to treat their costumers. Their Crunchy Peanut Salad was one of the best salads I've ever had! The dressing was so good, I could drink it! The nutty, sweet and tangy flavor paired well with the cilantro chicken. I loved the candied peanuts, edamame, cucumbers, carrots, etc...which made the salad extra crunchy! Great price for such a huge salad. I can't believe I ate the whole thing. She yelled from a table she was sitting at working at her laptop to her staff to chat it up w them while I sat a table over just listening to her yell chat....not the most relaxing lunch, a bit unprofessional. Don't mind the paying customer having lunch next to you ey? I'll give it another try another time. But maybe let your day manager on Friday to be a bit more professional. I also watched this same manager walk behind a customer putting an order in and make some weird hand motion to the girl at the register to make her laugh while she was ringing a client up. So weird.
