Being the health conscious person I am, I decided to go for a healthy lunch after a long morning at the gym. Apparently, this was the spot to go to for a healthy sandwich. Although the So-Cal Sandwich sounded delicious, I wanted to go for a healthier option like the Rosemary Chicken Sandwich, which comes with a nice vinaigrette mixed greens salad with mandarin oranges and cheese. PRICE: Very affordable. The Sandwiches are about $7 average, which comes with a free side (salad, chips, fries). You can definitely share this with someone if you're not too hungry. PORTION: The sandwich is about 6-7 inches wide and 2 inches tall. They give you a good portion of meat, cheese, and veggies. The side salad is definitely a good portion. It's probably about 2 cups of mixed greens. TASTE: The combination of the melting cheese, tomato, rosemary, and chicken, is absolutely perfect. The salad was a little bland but at the same time, it's hard to expect much from a side salad which can be replaced by chips or fries. The only thing I didn't like about this meal was the texture of the chicken. The chicken was a little dry, therefore making the entire sandwich feel a little dry. If the chicken was a little more moist, then this sandwich would have definitely received 5 stars in my book. This place is definitely worth a try. I'm sure I'll be coming back for more. read more

Very much like Stoneoven but with better tasting sandwiches (although I like the bread better at Stoneoven). I honestly was expecting more of a neighborhood cafe, but it's kind of a generic "fast food" cafe with some semblance of healthiness. The menu is pretty much split between sandwiches and salads. I ordered the so-Cali sandwich and the southwest sandwich (both of which come with a side salad) for my dad and I. The flavors were alright but the fast food assembly kinda mars it. The balsamic vinaigrette on the salad was good and I liked the added touch of tangerines. However, for $22 with drinks, this place isn't worth a second visit. read more

This place is amazing and healthy. They have nothing but sandwiches and salads and I'm not even a salad eater but wow I would actually eat their salads anytime because of how flavorful they are. I love the sandwiches here but my only problem is, it's way to expensive for what you get. I don't like spring mix and when you order a sandwich it comes with a spring mix salad. So I try to order something else with it and they up charge $3.00 for a small cup of soup instead. That's ridiculous. I loooove Urbane Cafe! It is the perfect place to bring anyone you know, even if they are picky eaters (like me)! It's difficult to find a place where I can eat with my parents, but at Urbane it's easy. For me, there are plenty of vegetarian sandwich options, for my mom they boast a large variety of salads, and my dad is able to order a tri-tip or pork sandwich. My wife and I came by to try this establishment based on Yelp ratings. Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one. I ordered the Southwest Chicken and my wife ordered the Club Sandwich. My sandwich was good if you don't mind a 1/4 of your sandwich not filled. My wife rated her sandwich as a three star as well. The reason for the three star rating is not totally based on the food it's mostly based on the fact that one of the employees chose to clean the entrance mat while we were eating by sweeping the dust and dirt into the restaurant. This is a regular spot on my lunch rotation. They have a very good selection of fresh sandwiches and soups. The bread is made in-house (you can see them making it at lunch), and they use fresh ingredients - I think these two things reflect in the taste, and make the difference. They serve the sandwiches with a small mix green salad (balsamic vinaigrette - can be sub'ed upon request). I usually pay a little more to have them substitute the salad with a cup of soup. When I got home I noticed there was another mixup with the order but the manager handled it perfectly.
