Urbane is by far my favorite eatery in Santa Clarita. It has all the most important things for me: healthy, quick, clean, and great prices. The staff is always friendly and the environment is casual and fun. I'm a vegetarian and my boyfriend is very much carnivorous and this place is a great place for both of us. My favorite lunch spot! I come here multiple times a week. My thoughts: 1. Everything is FRESH and they do not skimp on the ingredients. The salads are huge, as are the sandwiches. 2. The BREAD, good lord, the BREAD. I am usually a limited to no carb kind of gal, but I make an exception for the bread at Urbane. When you order, you can see it being baked in a fiery oven. Try it- it is amazing. 3. I have never had a bad meal! I usually get the urbane cafe salad (lettuce, avocado, pecans, pears, goat cheese and chicken). I often swap out the chicken for warm portabello mushrooms. To. die. for. 4. The sandwiches are KILLER. Seriously, they are all amazing. I like the chicken pesto and the southwest chicken. Absolutely delicious food. I adore the sandwiches, the So-Cal is my favorite (I add bacon), and the Southwest is a close 2nd. Everything is fresh, very tasty, and the sandwiches are made with focaccia bread. You MUST try it. Amazing. All sandwiches come with a healthy green salad, includes mandarin oranges, feta(?), and I believe balsamic dressing. This place serves up some tasty sandwiches! (Their salads look tasty, too, I just always get the sammies!) If you come at lunch the line will likely be out the door. I recommend calling in your order and paying over the phone so that you can bypass the line and just grab your food. My favorite is the Santa Maria BBQ chicken sandwich without bacon. One time I forgot to say no bacon and the person working insisted on making me a new one. I was willing to pick it out because it was my mistake but I thought that was above and beyond to make me a new one. The sandwiches come with a basic green salad with balsamic dressing. Came here for lunch around 2pm on a weekday & it was packed. One of the girls at the register had an attitude, so I went over to the other one. I ordered the Californian with a drink & chips. Total was about $11, kind of expensive, but worth it. I waited about 10 mins for my food to be ready, which was fine except that it was so crowded in there I kept having to move out of people's way. I ordered my food to-go, but there were a couple of tables open outside. The sandwich came with a little side salad that was really good. The sandwich itself was amazing! The Californian is a vegetarian sandwich with artichoke, avocado, sun dried tomatoes, melted cheese & a couple other things. The bread was really good, tasted fresh. I finally got a chance to try Urbane Cafe again, as my friend moved right around the corner, and we end up visiting this shopping center at least once a week. I was telling her about this great sandwich place, and it really didn't disappoint. It's great! She said it was one of the better sandwiches she's had in a long time. She had the vegetarian Californian, and I had the Sicilian (roasted chicken, olives, salami, etc.). Both of our sandwiches were great. The accompanying side salad is wonderful, and I don't even like salad. My friend had the Artichoke Bisque soup, and it was good as well. Customer service is extremely friendly and efficient as well. I was really trying hard to wait to try the UC that was coming to the SFV. However, I couldn't wait and tried the SC one. I got the roast beef sandwich, my sister got the Californian veggie and my two friends got the rosemary chicken. First off, I loved the bread. It's freshly baked focaccia. To me, the bread is what makes or breaks the sandwich. In this case, it definitely makes it :) I also love the fresh salad that comes as a side. Now for the sandwiches. I split my sandwich with a rosemary chicken. The roast beef was pretty decent. The rosemary chicken, which I heard was the most popular, didn't seem to live up after the roast beef. However, as I kept eating it, the flavor grew on me. I left UC thinking that it was a decent sandwich place. However, as days go by, I want UC more and more. Had to run over to the Union Bank during my lunch break a few days ago. I wasn't sure where I was going to go to grab lunch since I'm still new to the Valencia area, but then I saw quite a few people over at Urbane Cafe. Did a quick Yelp search, saw it rated well, decided to try my hand. I ended up getting the fiesta chicken sandwich with a side salad. That and the drink ended up a little under $10. The sandwiches are a good size, and I thought the amount of salad they gave was just right. The sandwich was excellent, the chicken cooked well, great flavor, and blended well with the spicy mayo, guacamole and corn salsa. I'm definitely making this one of my more common places for lunch, anytime I have to hit up the bank during a lunch break. The resturant itself is a bit loud and gets pretty crowded but I guess the crowded thing is good for business. All and all it was a solid place to eat. I had a wonderful experience at Urbane Cafe over a year ago. The food was great! For some reason I just forgot about this wonderful sandwich shop until I had the pleasure to visit it again just recently. This place has great food and the staff is very helpful. Genelle (sp?) was my counter person and I ordered a couple of turkey clubs for my wife and our neighbor who was watching our kids while we took care of some business. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I told Genelle what I liked and she suggested an off menu item that fit the bill! A cilantro chicken sandwich with a great sauce on it. She even suggested a special dressing for my salad. Which comes with the sandwich (BTW I think its great to have a salad included instead of fries or chips, especially when it all tastes so good). We took the food home and our neighbor was amazed at how good the food was. We all thoroughly enjoyed our light dinner. She told me the other day that she keeps thinking about her sandwich and plans to go back soon. I told her I was too! This is definitely a place for light dinners or lunch. It is a bit tucked away behind the Noah's bagels in the Chili's area of the shopping center, so look for it. I loved it and will not allow such a long lapse until my next visit. read more

This is a casual sandwich and salad café. It is always busy, so arrive early to beat the lunch crowd. They do a nice job getting the meals out, but the seating becomes limited during peak hours. People kind of stare at you waiting for you to take your last bite so they can pounce on your table. :-) Can't complain because I do the same thing. But there is nothing to the salads but some red and green leaf lettuce, and two pieces of tangerines, may as well leave the salads out and bring the price down a bit. I wish these kind of cafes existed in my neighborhood. As healthy as it gets for a fast food kind of place. It is located in the Stevenson Ranch area, off of I-5. I think this cafe is a local SoCal chain. We ordered Chicken Pesto sandwich(herb aioli) and Portobello mushroom sandwich(Tomato Aioli) and loved them. The sandwiches came with salad - which was really great with high quality ingredients, even mandarins were in there. We also got a grilled cheese from the kids menu. What a great, inexpensive and healthy stop for a quick salad and sandwich. The food is fresh and tasty and they also do catering for good prices! All of their sandwich bread is baked in-house in a cool pizza-style oven. It is a small place, but with the oven, it looks cozy and inviting. I'd give them five stars if they had a larger salad selection. I think you can only get a mixed greens with balsamic vinegeratte...but sometimes I just get a hankering for something creamy like ranch or Ceaser with an American blend salad. However, the salad they do serve is delicious...minus the mandarin oranges...those look cheesy and don't really go with the salad served. Plain and simple - Awesome! One of our favorite sandwich places in Valencia, CA. And when I say "our", I just don't mean my wife and I, it's also all our friends who live in Valencia. Way better, healthier and tastier foods than your typical Panera Bread or Corner Bakery, not that they are bad in any sense. While we tried most of their sandwiches: So-Cal Sandwich, Southwest Chicken, Roast Beef Stack, Grilled Portobello Mushroom, etc., my personal favorite is the Hot Pastrami and my wife's favorite is Pesto & Sundried Tomato sandwich. I personally never tried their soups yet, but my wife mentioned they are equally good. And prices are very affordable. It may seem little tight sitting arrangements inside, but there are plenty of tables and chairs and we never had any difficulty finding tables. There are sitting arrangements outside as well, which is really nice during summer or a sunny day. read more
