Reservation: We walked right in and ordered. From the moment we stepped in to getting our food it was probably a 30 min wait. Not too bad. Ambiance: Great location. Cool inside with lots of nice decoration and a TV with random videos. Food: It was alright. Parts were too burnt, parts were fine. We got a "small" pizza that ended up being big enough for 5 people who were looking for a quick snack. Would I come back?: Not really. Food was just ok for the price. There even was a staff member with their little poodle dog and the other staff members were going up to it and petting it with their work gloves on and then going back to making pizza. Supporting local businesses: we ordered through door dash during this pandemic. Their best pizza is the peppered salami in my opinion. It comes with pepperoni, salami and peppercinis. It's their best pizza because it comes with classic (pepperoni) and then salami and the peppercinis to balance out the saltiness. It's delicious!! It's my go to pizza. It's not overly salty like a meat lovers and plenty of protein! My fiancé likes their polpetta with provolone. That one is not my favorite nor do I really like it so feel it's a bit too sweet. I love urbn in north park and glad one is near us! It's actually across from Mother Earth. Next time when we can get out of here and drink, we'll be ordering a small. I write to you amidst the COVID-19 outbreak where everything is basically curbside pickup or delivery. I used to live a few blocks from the North Park location which was my go to pizza spot. Since then, I've moved to north county and thankfully they opened a spot up in Vista! Their pizzas are very delicious and pretty reasonable for pricing. You can get two small 18" pies for about $40 delivered on Door Dash. They are as delicious as I remember them even from delivery. Used to really like this place but just can't justify the price. A Pizza Margarita is $35 before tax! I understand the premium ingredients going in to the pizza but no where near $35. Yes the pizza is large, however it is paper thin. The edges had a nice crunch but the center was soggy with too much char underneath instead of a nice leopard pattern. Staff was friendly, upon entering the place was dead silent but the staff put in some music shortly after entering. Downtown was dead on a Thursday night with an NFL game in! Straight up one of my favorite pizza places! The portions are absolutely enormous and people are never disappointed when we bring them. I've always loved the Encinitas location and am so happy we're near the vista location now. We had a house warming and wanted to get small bites for everyone. URBN came through with the most delicious cheese pizzas, pepperoni pizzas and (my favorite) eggplant pizzas. I don't love crust so these are amazing because you've got a lot of middle to eat - although if I had to have crust, it would be URBN. When dining in I highly recommend the URBN salad. Found this place because I was across the street at the legendary Mother Earth Brewing, home of the cali creamin' cream ale, basically if vanilla cream soda was a refreshing beer. What I learned was there was a COAL-FIRED pizza joint across the street that delivers into the brewery, so of course I gotta try it. Never even heard of coal-fired before. The pizza itself is what I would describe as almost between a neapolitan and a new york style. It's got a little more structure in the dough and more charcoal on the bottom but a bit heavier on the sauce and cheese. URBN is a little gem in Vista. Unassuming and very laid back atmosphere. They have a simple menu. And their pizza is coal fired so it has a nice Smokey flavor to it. We love to go in person and order out. Their house salad is one of the best In North County San Diego, which is rare for a pizza place. If you want something a little different on your pizza, I highly recommend the mash potatoes with white sauce. Soooo good!! If you have young kids ask for an uncooked dough ball for the kids to knead , they make great distractions while waiting for the pizza. Another better-late-than-never review. I am a fan of mushroom, mashed potatoes and white sauce. If given the option to combine them all, count me in! We ordered a small pizza, split into the superior side (above combo) and an ordinary side (red sauce and pepperoni). We then crossed the street to Mother Earth Brewery, set out number at the edge of the table and waited for our pizza. The menu features red pies (parmesan and olive oil), white pies (parmesan and garlic) both +/- mozzarella and a variety of delectable toppings, including exotic little neck clams (suggested for white pies, and fabulous) and fried eggplant. The store looked like a big cast oven, with the black walls and such. The interior was not very decorated but you are privy to all the pizza making happening about 15 feet away. Seats are available outside and there were maybe 10 tables inside. Parking is free street parking. 30 minutes later, the chef/cashier/delivery person dashed into the open layout brewery with our pizza and we joined the plenty other people munching on Urbn pizza and drinking Mother Earth beer. The crust is thin, the pizza is slight greasy but man, this is good pizza. We finished our small pizza for two people, and any larger we would have to bring it home. I ordered in once on Friday evening at 6:05pm and the wait was 45-50 minutes long for my take out to be ready and the man on the phone reported having a line out the door, but he got back to me within 30 seconds. The line to get to the cash register was another 15 minutes, so bring something to do. Great staff, hard working, and awesome pizza. Highly recommend! read more

This pizza place is a solid 4 Stars. My wife and I enjoyed an evening dinner at restaurant before our movie started. It's located in historic Vista and within walking distance to movie theatre. Decor-large pictures and paintings decorated the black walls. Wood tables and wire chairs covered eating area and bar stools completed dining area. Large chalk menu and one large oven. Service-staff was ok, they were very busy and I fell like they're not prepared for rush of people. Tables were dirty and it took them a while before they cleared tables for new customers to sit in. Food-pizza was good, ours was a bit too burn on bottom but still very good. Garlic cheese bread was spectacular and was the best thing we ate. We tried the smashed potato with white(recommendation) and it was ok but not bad. Pepperoni was good and portions were large. Bring your appetite!! read more

So I didn't go out to the URBN storefront, or to any URBN restaurants. Instead, I worked at Smorgasburg, one of the largest open-air food festivals hosted in the US. It has homes in New York City and LA and was a constant dream to visit- as luck would have it, working weekends at another stall let me experience Smorgasburg as it's meant to be experienced: lots of food, lots of vendors, and some of the most unique eats I've had the pleasure of trying. I started off slow with one of URBN's offerings: I don't remember what exactly this one was, but I can tell you this: for food festival wood-fired pizza, it blew my mind. The crust was slightly charred and the cheese was, as a blessing, NOT overwhelming in the least, which is exactly what you need for pizza like this. Came here after seeing a movie at the Cinepolis Vista. Felt like pizza, so we decided to try out URBN since the reviews were really good. Between the two of us, I think we were probably crazy to have ordered a large pizza. The large is MASSIVE. We ordered it with several toppings, but they don't suggest overdoing it since it can weigh it down. I would definitely heed their advice. (They also recommended the regular/small size pizza, but for some reason we though leftover slices of pizza would be a good idea). The garlic bread wasn't bad but I would have preferred a stronger garlic flavor. I couldn't really detect a strong garlic flavor which I would have liked since I love garlic. Service was really good as expected. The pizza was so large though that for a couple of the slices I folded it and ate it like a taco :). The crust wasn't as crispy as I would have liked, and it was really blackened on the bottom, leaving my fingers and anything I touched, black. Probably normal, but I really didn't like that as a result. It was messier than I would have liked. The ingredients were all nice and fresh. I've had better pizza, but it might have been because we chose too many toppings. I really like a crunchier/crispier crust which this lacked, but I'm not really a thin type of pizza kind of gal anyway. (My favorite crust is Pizza Hut's regular pizza crust for reference). Apparently this is a Connecticut style pizza so, I've learned something new! What really surprised me though that I passed out for 6 hours once we got home at 6pm. Not sure if it was the pizza or what, but wow, haven't done that ever before. Maybe I wasn't used to that many carbs. Anyway, an overall average/okay experience. Not a bad place to hit up while in Vista, but for my own personal preference, I've had better and almost prefer more mainstream pizza like Papa Johns and Little Caesar's over this pizza (don't hurt me!) But I think it's just that the style of pizza isn't my favorite. The atmosphere of the place is large, and rather .. I'm not sure what to call it - hip? Nice place to hang out. I would like to take the time to amend my previous review. It was based on a single bad experience with an employee who has since been canned for his bad attitude and lackadaisical work ethic. The owner and manager of this location responded to me right away and offered to make everything right. He comped us free food, anything on the menu, and gave us a serious discount on some beers, which I was able to purchase with a gift card. The pizzas were absolutely delicious. Everything about them was perfect. The beers were a perfect accompaniment and I could not recommend URBN more! Thank you, John Y! read more
