Initially, my experience with US Granite was not great. I ordered countertops from Home Depot for a kitchen remodel and was warned it would take up to 6 weeks for install. In trying to get my templating scheduled it was difficult to get a callback, and I had to call several times which was slightly annoying. On the day of my install they several hiccups and ended up having to reschedule my install, which was pretty inconvenient. All that being said, My countertops were installed a few days after the initial date, and also ended up having US Granite install my tile backsplash. They were understanding and apologetic that my experience hadn't been great upto that point and worked incredibly hard to make up for those mistakes. In the end. my countertops and backsplash both look incredible, and I am so pleased with the end result. read more

Purchased through Home Depot and this is who they had install Quartz counters. Very poor install. Guys left my house and forgot to glue down the island. They left shims uncut and chipped the quartz in three places during install. They repaired one spot but again forgot the other two. Also very bad seam between backsplash and counter behind the sink. Spoke with their quality control guy Evan who offerred good resolution. Problem is no one ever followed through on his resolution so over a month after they were supposed to fix this and more than 6 weeks since original install and I'm still calling them to work this out. Outrageous that any customer should have to deal with this. Both Home Depot and US Granite have truly been awful vendors. Stay away from them if you can. read more

Home Depots installer, gosh I'm so sorry I shopped at Home Depot. If an unresponsive and unhelpful customer experience is what you seek this is the place!! If you value you time or maybe a functional kitchen this is NOT the company. If I could leave negative stars I would. The customer reps/ sales girls were just horrible. Searched for Granite Counter Tops in Reno. This was one of several that came up. Google says it's open until 5PM. Go on their website (after the fact) and they don't list their hours. Head to the showroom, get there inside at 4:22. Sign on the door says Closing at 4:30 Folks in a meeting in the office. Office gal doesn't hear us apparently and turns off the lights and says good by to the others. Walks out see's us looking at samples on an island in the store. Apologizes...then surprising says sorry we close at 4:30. Doesn't turn the lights back on, offer assistance, ask someone else for help....kind of hangs around making sure we leave. I'm not the whiny kind of person. But I do own my own business and know what customer service has to be. We left dumbfounded. Got in the car and noticed it was 4:27. Sure it was a Friday afternoon, but not the way I would have handled it. We stumbled across Earthstone Galley just up the road. Skip these guys and go discover how well you can be taken care of. read more

Subcontracted through Home Depot to do a kitchen. First slab they broke upon installation. So new slab had to picked out, along with waiting weeks without a functioning kitchen. Second time they chipped an edge and we're still waiting to have it repaired... enjoy making phone call after phone call to get an appointment set up, just for them to no-show on you, because, hey, who has anything better to do besides wait for these people to show up to do their job. Literally an ENTIRE day waiting for the repairman to show up for a scheduled appointment that never happened. Worst granite experience ever, from start to finish and the worst part is we're not even done with this s*** show company yet. read more

SIX, that's right 6 attempts within a 3 month period for US Granite, contracted through Home Depot, to professionally install Corian counter tops for our small kitchen project. Why? Fabrication mostly. Highly visible seams, poor communication and planning from US Granite. Counter tops initially arrived with numerous deep scratches. Pics from initial install these were ultimately replaced but ONLY AFTER a total of 6 times of coming out to the house to fix . Representatives from US Granite would claim to have had call but no record of call coming to cell or at home number. Extremely rude schedulers at US Granite. When all was said and done I requested compensation for the numerous errors (that they admitted were their errors). They offered a 20% discount but that doesn't even begin to compensate for the inconvenience of not having all counter tops during a 3 month period and for the time I spent making calls (it was near impossible for US Granite to call us), scheduling times for them to come back out and etc. The reps at Home Depot have been nice to deal with but US Granite is giving them a bad name. I've been told by US Granite that they are just too busy. Does that mean they are too busy to do a good job? Are they too busy to give good service? Are they too busy taking money from other Home Depot customers and general consumers that they don't care? Well, I'm busy too but I've got enough time to let people know the service from US Granite is sub-par. PLEASE NOTE: HOME DEPOT HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL & SUPPORTIVE. Seems to be a recurring theme with this company. I've been in my house for 3 months now and still do not have an acceptable counter top. I was told after their installers were out to replace it the first time that "they do not have a quality control process so they just install what is given to them". Multiple US Granite representatives have been to my house and they have all agreed that the job is poorly done.The communication is absolutely terrible and the willingness to help their customers is non existent. My counter and back splash in two bathrooms are absolutely horrible (mis- cut, sloped, filled in with putty). I will never use or recommend this company to anyone. read more

These guys lack Customer service. I set up an appointment to have them come out. After an hour past the appointment time I called they said they were sorry and their guy was running late he would be right over. Then the next scheduled time again no buddy shows up. I call and the guy is running behind, Same song and dance. I call they tell me I could easily do what I was going to pay them for myself since it is so hard for them to come out. I didn't want to write a review but since I saw another similar one. I figured it must be an on going issue and would like to warn others of the frustrations of trying to give these people money in exchange for services. Without a doubt theee worst company ever. Major screwup with my counter. 1. Sink not in center. 2. Faucet not on center. 3. One edge not beveled. 4. Installed with 1 inch plywood vs. 5/8 inch industry standard. 5. Counter sags in center due to no support. 6. Stove won't fit due to their stellar measuring techniques. 7. Counter sits too high so I paid to have trim installed to hide raw exposed cabinet edge. 8. Larry, Moe, and Curly lie when questioned about the job. The only reason I gave them one star was because the app won't let you choose zero stars. Still on going and problem has not been rectified. My kitchen is small. read more

HORRIBLE. Contracted thru Home Depot. Wrong measurements, sinks mounted wrong, lied to me, and tried to cheat me. Took THREE months to do a job I was told would take 2 days tops. Finally filed a complaint with BBB, Licensing Board and disputed CC charges. THEN they did what needed to be done. THEN I got district managers to coordinate the job. The US Granite office staff is incompetent. Not only do they not know how to manage a calendar but the never return phone calls. Happy with it now, but I'll never use them again. read more

This company is terrible. Subcontracted through Home Depot. Ordered our product, returned it without contacting us. Had to wait and have scheduled 5 appointments to get countertops, a shower seat and windowsills. 25 square feet. Installers finally came after 2 months or rescheduling with the wrong material, they had to go back and get the right order. Caulking is horrible and all over the walls, and incomplete around the vanity, they blew my power, and then left it without resetting the fuse, Then damaged both of my cabinets without telling me. They then miscut my windowsills and told me they'd be back soon. This was 2 weeks ago. The install was set for tomorrow and we just got a call saying it's not ready. After a call to US Granite's office we were offered a pittance for the damage to the cabinets. Home Depot has been helpful and taking care of us, and I've just been told that Home Depot is firing them as subcontractors partially because of everything they've done to us. Job is still not finished, and I'm so annoyed with this company. They have lied to us every step of the way. Do yourself a favor and go with any other company in Reno. read more

Yelp pulled my previous review because it did not provide enough details so here is my second attempt to advise the Northern Nevada community to avoid this company. Poor communication / customer service and poor workmanship. (1) The templater didn't communicate where the seam in our counter top was going to be and placed it dead center on the sink with another seam on the ledge above it off-set by 8 inches - looks terrible. At the showroom (big box home improvement store) we were told the product was manufactured and having never purchased kitchen counters before assumed it would be the length of the relatively short section. Never really got a straight answer U.S. Granite said the template gets approved by the store and the store said they never do it that way. (2)The same narrow ledge is visibly not level - installer said he did it so a spill would flow toward the sink. Talking to two other people in the business they said they would never do that. (3) Over cut an inside corner by at least 1/4 inch behind the stove at a bar area. Had company come back to fix it but couldn't do anything about it. (4) Customer service - installers didn't have warranty or care information. I had to call several times to get it. Office lost our file so they couldn't retrieve the information. Wrote a letter to president and haven't heard back yet. read more

Ordered countertop through home depot, they subcontracted US Granite for measure and install. After waiting six weeks, and install set for tomorrow, I was just told they did not have enough material to complete the job. They had not informed me of any issues with material. If i did not call, I would not of known. Home depot is using a second class company which diminishes the creditability of home depot. I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel using Home Depot's kitchen design department. When it came to the granite they sent me to Daltile. Daltile has been nothing but accommodating in helping me pick out my granite and holding it for me until I was ready to have it installed. I worked with Tammy and Jessie and got wonderful service and professional help. Next I was told to get in touch with US Granite where I meet Brandon. Brandon actually met me at Daltile and helped me understand the type of granite and how it would work in my kitchen. Wonderful personal skills. Huge holdup in my cabinets from Home Depot so there were 4 mounts between picking out granite and having it measured. US Granite sent out the person that measures and I signed off on the actual plans and how the granite would be cut. Next I got a picture of the pieces showing my actual granite, who nice was that to be able to give US Granite the go head. Here is where the problem started and let me say now that it was totally resolved by the owner of US Granite, Shawn, When the granite arrived it was not the size I expected, The overhang was not included in the measurement. Yes, I signed off the design and yes that should have been the end of the story, however, because back in November I had shared my simple drawing with Brandon that showed the overhand, Shawn was willing to work with me to resolve the problem. He could have actually told me it was set in stone when I signed off, but because I had done my homework, keep every bit of communication I had with his company he took the responsibility to satisfy me. I have so much gratitude to him and realize that he went out of his way for me the homeowner. Now, this is another point I would like to make. The owner of US Granite is a local man that went through our local schools and is running a very large business in Reno, NV. I would hope that more of us shop and use companies that are run by locals and not large companies that could care less about the homeowner. Very happy with my experience with this company everyone was great and counters came out awesome.

I would have given US Granite a zero rating if I could. Same experience on our end regarding poor workmanship and communication problems as noted from other 1 star ratings below. If you choose to go through Home Depot in Carson City, DO NOT have them subcontract the work out to US Granite for any installations for kitchen counters. Our project was to take one day to install Corian counters and it took one month because of there screw ups. First they mis-cut the hole for installing the sink. Two weeks later they didn't bring enough material to replace the sink issue or install the back splash. Due to several phone calls to Home Depot and US Granite, the job was finally done a month later. Home Depot needs to remove US Granite from their installer list. Make sure you know who the installers are and read there reviews before you sign any contracts with Home Depot. read more

We had very poor customer service with these people. No return phone calls and when they said they would be out to our house they no showed and never called. We had to initiate all the phone calls until I got a hold of them by threatening to call the BBB on them and write a bad review on their biggest supplier who is Lennar Homes. Finally, Lauren emailed me back and stayed in contact with me throughout the rest of the process. It shouldn't take a threat to get something done. It took about a month and a half to get a slab of granite. Ridiculous if you ask me. I must say Lauren in the complaint department is a rock star. She got it done for us. Thank you Lauren! read more
