I had asked if my wedding invitations could be hand cancelled and I was told yes. Every envelope that my guests have shown me are NOT hand cancelled and they are in rough shape. I offered to pay extra so this did not happen but was told it was not necessary. Why not just tell me no? I would have gone to another office. read more

Who ever is The mail man for E loop route should be fired. He claims he tried to deliver a package that needs too be signed for but I waited all day for a knock and nothing... sooo I started doing investigations, I requested for it to be redelivered and i waited by the window. When I saw him just out everything in the mail box and the package I needed to sign he didn't even bother walking up and ask for me to sign he just wrote the slip... likE wtf do your job... he's done this for the past year and itS getting so annoying...by the way I want my package I still have not received it.... that mailman n should be fired. The lady that works there- BETH was just fantastic helping me out BIG TIME!! She was very warm hearted. I think she should would make a great postmaster! haha Speaking of postmasters, the one that was either there before or still there- Isordia I think her name was- is THE WORST. I have been using this post office for about 15 years for work and personal stuff. Recently they did some interior improvements and installed self-serve kiosks to buy your own labels for packaging and the staff is on hand to show you how to use the service Every single postal worker I have dealt with has been at the very least, professional and swift in service with a few being just outstanding. Without being cloying or phony like some bank employees (Wells I'm talking to you), I feel like I'm doing business with a fellow community member who genuinely cares about my business and me. Of course there are lines sometimes. Yet the staff stays concentrated on the person in front of them, not showing pressure from some impatient folks in line. Occasionally some government-hating, super irritated person in line will start groaning loudly or making rude remarks about postal worker. One guy stormed out recently. I think that is very unfair and quite frankly, immature and indicative of deep stupidity. I wanted to post a review of my experience over that last decade plus- the people working there are not "the government"- they provide professional service as best they can, as good people. read more

Could it be any worse? Trying to get my mail delivered to MY own mailbox seems impossible. I get everyone elses though! No problem there! Also, when you get a notice saying the package you have been waiting for for a week has been delivered it probably hasnt. Then you get a notice saying its at the post office. It isn't. It is now December 31st...still no stamps, even after being told Friday that my order would be filled on Saturday. No stamps over the weekend. No stamps in today's mail. Was on hold for over an hour with the USPS Consumer Affairs before I gave up. Was on hold with Camarillo post office 3 times, no one ever came back. 4th time I got someone who said "we're still out of the rolls of stamps"...I (once again) said I don't care if they are rolls or sheets, just please give me my stamps. Asked to speak to a supervisor, and he said he IS the supervisor. No wonder this place sucks. Avoid this post office at all costs. For all the good it will do. Manger and carriers are horrible lost packages called twice and went down to post office twice each time they said they would talk to the carrier and give me a call back, which never happens. Second time they have lost a package. Call the Postmaster, he doesn't even hear me out before transferring me to the carrier who doesn't have a clue. She promises to call back, but does not. I'm sure that my package was delivered to the wrong address (since USPS shows the status as "delivered" and it never arrived here.) There's a reason that the USPS is losing money every day....poor follow through, uncaring career employees with no incentive to improve, outdated systems and technology, and a huge human error factor. read more

Horrible customer service, dirty, really run down place. I needed a tiny piece of tape once to secure a package, but was rejected and told there's not a single piece of tape that I could use in the entire post office. Which is obviously a big fat lie. read more

This post office has been here forever. The staff is friendly and helpful. You might have to wait in a line but it's not to bad. They keep it clean and organized. They have tables if you need to label something. They even have a self serve for priority mail. Pretty cool! read more

Very clean post office. The lines move fairly quickly. The parking lot can be a nightmare at peak hours though.

This is the most speedy, helpful, friendly, and clean post office I've ever seen! It's also quick to deliver packages sent from this post office (I'm not sure if it's the route taken out through camarillo or if the back office is just quick to sort and send things out). I sent a package to Barstow at 1:30pm and it was delivered there next day! And I sent priority, not next day express! Great job! read more

I have lived in some cities with really terrible post offices and I have to say this one does a great job at letting you get in and out quickly. I have a PO box here and pick up packages every day. If I'm in line with my yellow cards they always recognize and signal me to come over before people in the front of the line. I do wish they'd use the package lockers more often for medium size boxes but I don't really hold that against them because it takes longer to bring a package out to the lockers and I'd rather they do what they do best which is have all my mail sorted and ready for pick up at the counter. They have never lost a package, unlike some other places like Mountain View who actually mis-delivered my wife's SS card to a neighbor. Yes it sucks that they don't give out tape; you have to buy a high priced small roll but again I'm glad they focus on getting the mail sorted rather than stand there and distribute lengths of tape to grouchy forgetful soccer moms. Parking is odd but its mainly due to folks who'd rather wait while someone backs out from a close spot rather than just take a spot 15 feet away on the side closest to the street.??? If you know what you're doing it can be very easy to get in and out with no trouble. Once though I went into the lobby on a Sunday and an Asian gentleman was unloading the lobby mailbox. I asked if my package was in the back because tracking number showed it as delivered. He adamantly told me that no one is working there on Sunday as he removed boxes and put them on a cart to take to the back. "Nobody at all works here on Sunday", as he sweated and panted in his uniform on a Sunday afternoon. "There is nobody whatsoever working here on Sunday. No one." read more

I do not understand the bad reviews about the Camarillo Post Office on Pickwick. I go there quite a bit and I have always received great service. There are always at least 3 service booths available and they have many self-service options. For people complaining about this post office, they apparently have never lived in a big city where you have something to complain about. I like this post office. Missing package since Dec. 16, when searching status it still the same since that day. it was supposed forwarded to our new address but we haven't receive anything. Called the fist time to USPS and they said I would receive it in the next 2 days. Second call they informed the process would take up to 10 days. Third call got informed the packed won't be delivery to the new address because the type of delivery service. However status still the same and Sears who was the sender hasn't get it back. No way to file a claim cb also of the type of delivery service used by Sears. read more

What's happening to this place? Most regular customers will probably agree the lobby has never been known for providing great service, but things seem to be getting worse. There used to be two large mailboxes...one located outside the main entrance plus another one just inside the entrance...for the convenience of mailing larger envelopes and packages after-hours. About a year ago the one on the outside was mysteriously removed; the result was that the box on the inside filled up very quickly. Several times I brought in parcels while an employee happened to be in the process of emptying the box, and I was met with a genuinely contemptuous attitude....a perfect example of a surly government employee who forgets that we as taxpayers are paying her salary and contributing to her pension. Then, a couple of months ago the remaining mailbox on the inside was taped off, rendering it unusable. There is only one other, smaller slot in a wall that is supposedly provided for mailing larger items but the past few times I tried using it, the flap wouldn't open indicating it was either locked or completely full. This kind of outright customer neglect and disrespect would never fly at a privately-owned company whose business it is to make a profit for its shareholders. Maybe it really IS time to privatize the postal service and put our tax money to better use. I'm being generous in giving it two stars...only because I like my mail carrier and some of the people who work at the front counter. read more

It has been 2 years of service going from bad to worse with this group! Now a very important item sent PRIORITY and tracked, was "delivered" DAYS LATE, but is nowhere to be found. As has happened at least 6 other times, the delivery person has no recollection of the item. But she swears she delivered it. Starting a formal complaint process that is being guided by USPS office in LA, also involving Postmaster General in Washington, DC. Contact City Council and follow that chain of command up to the top until this group of unprofessional, overpaid, nincompoops gets the message! Most people are PROUD to work with USPS! What a great job, especially in these times! Meanwhile, we are trying to direct all important mail to FedEx or UPS. WEAR YOUR UNIFORMS PER THE LAW, delivery folks! I've never lived in an area where packages are so often mis-delivered. Does this post office have some standard BELOW which employees are hired? How hard is it to match up an address with a mailbox? I make every effort to use UPS or FEDEX for package delivery. Very unreliable service from the Camarillo post office. read more
