Our mail man is incredibly rude and fits the sterotype of the lazy federal government worker. Multiple times he will not get out of his stupid little truck to deliver the mail and sends it back to the office as "undeliverable". I have rendered more than one complain about this. I was told by the Post master that ever if some utility or worker truck is blocking his access to "hand feed" in to the sidewalk cluster of mailboxes, that he is to get out and walk around the truck and put it in the mail box. I have no control who parks in front of the mailboxes. This has resulted in critical mail not being delivered, bill that aren't delivered and therefore have a late charge. This guy needs to be disciplined for his rude obnoxious behavior that has been going on for five years now. Signed, a very unhappy postal customer. read more

I just have to say that a new mail Lady blond hair that delivers mail to Parkside and Park drive is SUPER wonderful very, very helpful and she did go out of her way to figure out few missing deliveries for us. Packages are routed somewhere else and she was able to bring them to us in timely manner....way to go blond lady mail career. read more

I am so happy this is the post office in my area! Friendly and helpful, I've always had a great customer experience there. Most recently, they assisted me with a package from overseas that was mistakenly sent to LA. After I contacted the USPS Customer Service line (extremely efficient and helpful, as well), I immediately received a call from the manager of the Roosevelt office, explaining further steps and what I should expect. The package arrived a day after that, earlier than promised. The same day the manager called me again to check if I got my package and if all was well with it. She even left her direct phone line, if I had any questions or concerns! Two thumbs up for the whole experience! read more

Wanted to mail a letter with cerified mail. I went to the "do it yourself" machine. I couldn't figure it out so I got in line. A very nice man behind the counter walked by and asked why I was in line. I said I couldn't figure out the machine when it got to the certify mail purchase. The employee said come on over I will help you. In minutes he had the "do it yourself" machine ready for purchase. I was so impressed. He saved me time waiting in line and I felt he went above and beyond customer service. Sorry, I don't remember his name but he was cute and pleasant. Thank you! read more

Staff there has always been friendly and helpful. Expect to wait in line esp during the holidays but it doesn't seem to take a long time to get to the front. The clerks have always been patient and simplifies what choices are available. read more

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received from a company that calls themselves a "service" quite the opposite actually. Paid for 2 day shipping from a friend of mine Thursday of last week today is now Tuesday. Package showed it would be delivered by 8pm yesterday on the tracking, sure enough no package,no phone call, no door tag. Checking the tracking number today it doesn't show it's out for delivery it shows "ready for pickup" I've been on hold for over an hour trying to get in contact with someone who can tell me what has happened and why my package wasn't delivered in the promised time span. I work past 5pm every day and start at 7am so I have no way to pick this package up. I would recommend to NEVER use USPS for anything important that you need in a timely manner. Nothing ever gets taken care of on time with these guys it's always jut smoke and mirrors, trying to get ahold of an actual human being to find out why no one delivered my package or called me is damn near impossible and a complete fucking waste of time. I have the misfortune of dealing with this post office about 2-3 times per week. I am most often disappointed in the inefficiency and bad customer service when I actually have to deal with one of the cashiers. Most of the time I can use their automated machine which is limited, but still better than waiting in line only to be met with frustration. Christmastime was particularly awful as they had a line out the door every day for weeks but would still only have 1-2 cashiers working the counter. Seriously. This morning was particularly annoying. I waited in line instead of using the automated machine because I wanted to buy a sheet of stamps that the machine does not issue. There was 1 cashier working. The guy in front of me used cash to buy a money order. When he was done and it was my turn the cashier asked me how I was paying and I said cash. He said he would get someone to help me, and then proceeded to help the person behind me who was paying with a credit card before I could even respond. Like most adults, I have several credit cards that I could've used if he had let me know that was the only option. Since I saw the person before me paying cash, with the same cashier, at the same station, I assumed I could as well. Apparently I was wrong. I decided to use the automated machine to mail my package and will probably order the stamps online even though there is a $1 shipping charge. I would rather pay $1 than deal with the rude and inefficient cashiers at this place!! I wish I could go to another store but this one is on the way to work...so I'm stuck. read more

Bad service here. I was also discriminated here; I've had a PO Box here for 16 years and only once did I forget my po box key. I asked the employees if they could get my mail for me and they tried lecturing me about forgetting my key I explained to them it was the first time in 16 years and they did not care they still said no. The next day I went back with my key and someone asked for their mail and they gave them their mail. I have never felt so discriminated in my life if there is anyone with the US Postmaster reading this please make sure all your employees treat everyone the same. Also just yesterday I checked my PO Box and they gave me someone else's mail. I went to the front desk to give them the other persons mail and they told me I needed to stand in the long line. Well that isnt right why should I stand in line when I'm correcting the post office mistake. I ofc did not stand in line I handed the mail that was mistakenly put in my PO Box to the employee and she still had the nerve to give me a dirty look. I am extremely disappointed in this Post Office. Delivery left a pick up notice on my doorstep and when I went to the Post to pick up the item, it wasn't there as they had given it to someone else. Apparently, another random person came in with the same ticket (obviously delivery left it at the wrong house one day) and they gave it to him! The person at the Post told me it was addressed to him and so he took it. Today, this random person left it on my doorstep, opened. It CLEARLY says my name on the front of the envelope. So I guess random guy is as big of an idiot as the Post. Additionally, the delivered item included printed personal banking information and account numbers. read more

I have been going to this place for 2 years and now there is mainly a new staff. I had an employee tell me to put my package in a box before putting in their flat rate boxes to prevent damage. I did and the top flaps didn't touch 1 inch apart so I taped package very well. I went in today and was told they can't accept it the flaps have to touch. I explained that's not what I was told prior. She continued to argue with me, not listening to what I was asking. Don't know if it's because she clearly spoke English as a second language. But I kept asking to give me the box so I could repackage real quick to make the flaps close. She kept telling me no and I should put in their larger box. I didn't want that as I didn't have the money for that. The frustration of her NOT listening to me and becoming belligerent about their policies which have had zero problems with similar in the past was beyond tolerable for me. This was NOT how you handle a customer. I have a PO Box there that is up for renewal and so I will be cancelling that as well. Learn how to TROUBLE shoot and HELP customers not be belligerent because you are not understanding what I am simply asking. read more

We try to use the Internet to put mail on hold but it never works. Only after cramming as much mail as is humanly possible in our tiny mailbox does it occur to anyone that maybe we aren't picking up the mail. Terrible service. read more

WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!! I put in a change of address and never got my mail forwarded. I called them and they said the forward was cancelled. they couldn't tell me why and I didn't cancel it. Said they would find out....they didn't call me back. we have a mailman named conrad, i had to report him for harassment. i wrote a report and spoke to investigators. he had been acting like a stalker.conrad was telling me he was a photographer, that he had a time share in carlsbad, suggested taking pics of me for my husband. came to my door constantly with the mail, even tho our mail box is on the street. after i reported him, conrad stopped bugging me but he is still my mail man. every day at 2:30 i feel awful walking on my own street. basically the us post office did nothing. if i have a package, this jerk still comes to my door. i have a good friend who has conrad as their mailman too. my friend said conrad doesn't bother her but he did bother her friend. i can't believe they didn't even take him off of my route. there's more but you get the picture. read more

Most horrific local Post Office in the country! I have lived all over this country and never seen such a poorly run facility. Staffing is always bad, attitudes are poor, effort to assist is non-existent. These can not be the best candidates that applied for work there....I could have found homeless people who can do a better and more efficient job. I have had nothing but trouble with both the in person experience as well as the home delivery services, can the drivers be that lazy and stupid? I have tired to call this facility many times, and only get a busy tone for hours...day after day (must always be lunchtime there). Also, have had several packages delivered to my home go to neighbors or blocks away. Recent issue they claim they delivered a package, and it never was delivered (as I had someone waiting at my home all day)....spoke to manager on two occasions and was told someone would immediately contact me......still waiting 7 days later. read more

Worst post office ever....I called and asked about Post Office Boxes....a man answered and told me how much etc....I said great and went down there to get one...this overly excited gentleman at the door asked what I needed help with...which I proceeded to tell him and he said there are no p.o. boxes but there is a waiting list... I said I had just called and asked and someone told me the price for six months and never told me there were none and that there was a waiting list where he cheekily (rude) told me well maybe I am wrong go ahead and get back in line....so I had to get 'back in line' where two or three people had stepped in front of my while this guy was asking me what I needed and obviously wasting my time.....so I had to wait in line again....then I get up there and the lady tells me there are none but there is a waiting list and acts all la la about it.....are these people all high?? They are clueless and this was absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous!!! Horrible service!!!! I hope they all experience the wonderful world of karma that they all put me through today....Rude and laughable customer service....Jack in the Box has 100% better customer service than this United States Postal Service....how embarrassing for you :0) read more

Reviewed this USPS yrs ago. Update: I believe the woman who has been unkind? rude? nasty? is called Melissa. There is another blonde woman, Erica who is her opposite very friendly and nice. I continue to wait for another available teller when Melissa is there. Another woman mouthed to waiting patrons that this Melissa was a 'b'. Which was a surprise cause I thought it was personal, and she's typically extra friendly to everyone else when I am present, on purpose. As mentioned I had given M. three separate visits to redeem herself before writing and logging complaints which I won't bore you w/ details. Every other employee has been great. Actual service- any tracking , no matter if you check in and get receipt, or purchase , doesn't show up until later in the evening, often, not until next day once it's in another location. I advise you snap a time stamped photo of your parcel to have that record of drop off. read more
