Received two different prices from two different clerks for the same package. The second clerk only cared about taking an early break and was rude and condescending. She informed me I had to buy a roll of tape instead of providing a small piece of tape for a letter. Penny wise and pound foolish. The Postal Service is losing $6.5 billion for 2023 and projected to lose the same in 2024. I can see why. read more

I'm beyond disappointed with this office. I work Monday through Saturday and often until 7 and 8 at night...I can't come by this office during business hours. I came here one night after work to buy stamps and the machine ate my money. This was last week This week, I had a package coming in the mail and it should've arrived Saturday. I check the tracking numbers and it said undeliverable as addressed. The address was definitely correct as I have photo proof. I thought maybe I needed to sign for it... No slip in my mailbox and it was a small package so there's no reason this should have happened. I called and spent 20 minutes on the phone with a recording to reroute the package. The POST OFFICE WEBSITE says this place is open until 530. I get off work early just to be told "no, we're not open and we haven't been open until 530 for a long time." And now my freaking package is being returned THAT I PAID TO HAVE DELIVERED, THAT I TOOK TIME OFF TO PICK UP. This place is a freaking joke read more

I went in last week to mail my passport renewal application and asked for 2-day shipping so it would get there as quickly as possible that wasn't overnight. A week later, it has still not gotten to the destination, it's been held up at a distribution center for four days now. Given that I paid $10 for 2-day shipping and did not receive that service, I called to get a refund. To paraphrase what I was told: "Sucks to be you." The man I spoke with siad that only express mail is guaranteed and that anything else is simply a hoped-for date. So despite the fact that I PAID for 2-day shipping and the person who processed my package (and the name of the service itself) indicated that this would in fact get there in two days, they are neither refunding me nor bothering to get in contact with the postal workers to see where my package is. My PASSPORT may well be lost in the mail yet this post office is doing absolutely nothing to make up for their errors. Terrible customer service. read more

Rude all the way. Had a package with pre-paid postage I was waiting in line to send. I had to rip open the seal when I got there because I had mistakenly sealed the label inside and didn't realize until when I got there. Observed female employee talking with customer she had already completed the transaction with for at least 2 mins with 6 people waiting in line. Manager began asking people in line if he could take anyone's package. I told him what happened and he said: When don't give tape away, we sell it. I left. Will never go here again. Sad to see what beauracracy does to the people whose salaries the taxpayers support. #Fail read more

Honestly I have yet to experience great service at a US Post Office, funny to think they wonder why the company is debt. These are some of the laziest and slowest working people I have ever seen hands down. The issue is that they can't be fired for poor service since they are union, they just show up to work and hang out it seems. What a freaking waste of employment imo. They act like we OWE them instead of them working for US!!!! If they worked for a real company they would get fired asap. read more

Since my initial review, I've stayed true to my word and have not been back to this awful place. Last week, I decided to request a pickup for some packages I had to send out. This is usually a very painless process where you fill out a form on the USPS.gov website and the postman comes to pick your packages up when he drops off your mail. I've sent out over 500 packages in the last year for my business, in two different states, in over 5 cities. USPS has never missed a pickup! Wait! Until now... I requested a pickup for Monday, and stayed home between the hours of 11-4 so I would not miss the postman. Long story short, I never got a call and my doorbell didnt ring. However, I got my mail. So, I put in another request for pickup and mentioned in the comments that they missed the first one all completely. I then receive a call the next day from this terrible branch telling me to just leave the package with my lease office because the postman can't ring my doorbell. I've never been told the postman "doesn't ring doorbells" when previously, all mail carriers have done so. I explained that there is no way I'd leave a package that I'm responsible for with a third party that is not liable for it. I was then told, "Well, then can you just bring it to the post office?" THEN WHY WOULD I REQUEST A PICKUP?! Just absolutely appalling service. This post office is run with no standards at all. They just do whatever, whenever, and maybe not even that. I really want to be sympathetic to these employees because I've watched the "Going Postal" documentary, but I have nothing left to say about my recent USPS experience other than these specific employees at this branch are rude and beyond lazy. They create a horrible image and stereotype for USPS employees who actually do a great job. Its a bad look for the otherwise nice neighborhood of Rockrimmon. read more

Sadly I had awful customer service recently here. I had a large package to drop off with pre-paid postage already attached. All I needed was for it to be scanned in and a receipt given to me. The woman working here refused to do so because it was inconvenient for her, even though I stood in line and waited for 20 minutes to be seen like everyone else. I also lifted it over the counter for her with the help of another customer. Then, she suggested I try taking it into the lobby to scan it myself. A very helpful customer helped me get the package into the lobby but we couldn't get it to scan. The woman working for USPS didn't help at all and even after trying it this way refused to do it herself. After spending 30 minutes here I decided to leave the package with the USPS employee who said she would get it scanned in. The package still has not been scanned into the system and I didn't receive a receipt. Horrible customer service. I just hope my package makes it to the destination okay. read more

I hate this place. There are not many people or things I greatly dislike let alone hate, but I hate USPS, especially this branch. They refuse to deliver my packages properly. I don't give a crap about letters, it all goes in the recycling. Parcels as USPS calls them are the only reason they need to visit my house and they fail almost all the time. Put a package on a foundation wall by the garage directly in the flow of a roof gutter drain? Who in their right mind would do that??? My postman. Ruined a few hundred dollars of shirts. Put a package on the dirt in the driveway, not next to, but in the driveway? Again, not a bright idea, yet my postman believes he saves a second by doing this. Put a small bubble wrap mailer against the garage door? Only found it a week later when the snow melted and the entire contents were soggy and ruined. I order hundreds of packages online (Go Amazon!) and the FedEx, UPS, and DHL people have no issues with this. They always leave the package at the door as a normal sane person would. I have a fenced in covered porch so when packages get delivered they stay dry and the Colorado wind doesn't take them off into the woods. I have even put up a giant metal sign saying to not leave packages by the garage door. Now they're further away from the garage door, not at the front door. DHL is the only other company that leaves me little sticky notes to sign for signatures other than USPS. It is very annoying, but DHL works. They try to deliver one day and fail, you sign the form they come back the next day with the box take the form and leave the box. Like a normal sane person. USPS leaves the non sticky notes one day. Then they pick them up sometime in the coming days. Then they redeliver it. My latest package was sent from Vegas to Colorado Springs. A normal 1-day ground shipment, sent priority so 2 day. It was packaged Thursday and started Friday. You would assume that the package would arrive Monday. I really need them by the following Saturday, 8 days for a 2-3 day guaranteed service... Friday, Saturday being 2 days, Monday delivery. The 3 boxes shipped, 2 of them attempted to be delivered on Tuesday, a day late, and I got the sticky. Signed it that evening, put it back in the door. Went onto the USPS website, and requested redelivery the following day on Wednesday through the online system. Nice blue bar comes up saying I requested deliver to try again tomorrow, great. Wednesday got 2 UPS packages delivered, USPS never came to the door to get the sticky. Kept it in the door. Thursday came, got ANOTHER sticky in the door right next to the other sticky that was signed... WTF! It's not a required signature in person delivery, they just left another sticky without taking the other one. Signed and left them both out there. Friday stickies still there no package from USPS. Got another 3 packages from UPS. Go Friday night to pick them up, arrive a few minutes after they close and told to leave immediately, they're now closed and if I don't the police will be called. Insert meme of "wow that escalated quickly" here mentally. So I left with slips in hand. Go back again on the Saturday, now 9 days after making the label, 8 days in the postal service's hands. Wait in line (of 4 people) for 20 minutes. Get my 3 boxes finally, one is completely dented looks like it was eaten by Chewbacca. Whatever, just want to go. Get back home and the package I ordered from Amazon yesterday at 4pm is waiting at my front door, 18 hours start to finish. Correct location, ahead of scheduled delivery time, without issue. You can bet it wasn't USPS... I don't want to hate on the USPS, it's an important service, but it is not currently functioning as a service in the Rockrimmon area. Avoid this place, avoid USPS. read more

I do not have high expectations when going to a business that is unionized, however I do expect common courtesy. I have been to three other post offices around town and the customer service is nothing special as you would expect. I have now moved over towards this USPS and am about two miles to the location. Within two months I have gone here about five times and everytime I come here I am treated with the utmost disrespect. I have never once been to a post office where they refused to put tape on to your box until now. The other post offices are completely fine with it but at this one they will not turn around and touch the tape that is directly behind them. Today when I went to pay with my credit card the guy said I needed to sign the back and I said I did not want to sign the back and he told me that the whole checking IDs if its not sign in the back was a myth and I should still sign it otherwise he would not use my card. Then he repetitively laughed at me when I told him that at my work I check people's ids when it says CID on back because I care about common courtesy and decency and protecting people. I had to wait in line behind three people for about 20 minutes because the second guy that was working decided to take a break in the middle of another guy sending out an international package which took another 20 minutes. And you guessed it correctly, the guy that did take the break was the same one that was condescending towards me. The service there was so terrible that people in the line were talking about it and how they been treated terribly and the people at the desk were just laughing. I've never my life been so offended from a business and the way that they treat other people. I am now going to drive the extra 20 minutes to just go to another post office because I cannot stand being treated like that anymore and I advise everyone else to do the same. read more

Wow I had to check the address of the post office that I was reading reviews about. Indeed it's the one that I deal with and I think it's fine. I've never found any discourtesy only friendliness and professionalism. If it's a matter of delivery speak with your carrier about it and I'm sure you'll be accommodated. Now that my son is away at college, I am starting to ship goodie boxes to him. Bear helped me out. He was able to answer my questions and explained which way was the best and inexpensive. The only thing I wasn't pleased with was the USPS won't use your credit card if you didn't sign it. I have "See ID" written on the back. There is a reason I didn't sign my credit card. I don't usually have much cash or my checkbook with me. I'm sure USPS has a reason for this but this is an inconvenience. read more

I should have taken the advice from the other reviewers and AVOIDED this post office location, but I was in the area and needed to send a few packages earlier this month. I was treated so badly by one of their employees "Bear". He was extremely incompetent and rude and let me know I was inconveniencing him by asking a simple question. If I could give 0 stars I would. Never have I ever dealt with such outright incompetence and malfeasance. We moved from LA to here- when we lived in Burbank it was perfect, whenever we had packages from Amazon Prime, never an issue with delivery even through the post office. Here it's impossible to get our packages delivered correctly (timeframe of 2 days-we pay extra to receive Amazon Prime in 2 days not whenever the carrier feels like it, and to our door), however this specific location sucks at simply scanning and delivering to the door, we live on the third floor and they're too lazy to do that, fine, at least leave it at the office because they can receive our packages through the concierge. Nope, they can't do it correctly ever and whenever I have to call this location about where my package is-it's the 21st century there's this thing called tracking which shows what your "delivery" aka mailman wrote for the reason for non delivery such as" no access(Bs because we live in an open, ungated community), addressed incorrectly (really genius, so how did you deliver all the junk mail and other crap to our address), and my favorite, no one to receive package(we specifically leave notes telling FedEx, UPS and DHL along with you *special ppl where to drop off packages if we're not there-we even have ring and have had actual conversations with you about where to leave our packages that we pay for) even with all this they still can't master the basic concept of scan and deliver like so many other carriers. I will continue to order from and let Amazon Prime know logistically they need to drop you and your crappy, incompetent, obsolete post office from delivery and replace you with either independent drivers that deliver on time like everywhere else or just use reputable big name delivery companies like FedEx, UPS and DHL so they won't start losing Amazon Prime members in this area. What would be shocking is if this location would A) figure out how to deliver packages customers pay for correctly and on time B) take responsibility for their mistake rather than being indifferent and blaming everyone else for their incompetence or C) actually work during their posted hours of operation so that if they screw up and I have taken time out of my day to pick up my packages I can rather than playing a back and forth game with my purchased goods. read more

Well everyone here that's posting is spot on. These employees act like their job is to make your day worse instead of send your packages. Today while I was there, I too was ordered to tape my own box and write my own address where before, that's what they did and that's what I expected. Then she so rudely explained we haven't done that for year and a half and we don't provide tape to you, with a full on nasty attitude. I was trying to ask questions and the woman kept leaving the room and answering me with the back of her head toward me. Beyond rude. I physiologically felt worse after I left there, my blood pressure was way high and I was so angry. The woman with the accent there made me feel like I was a small as a postage stamp. The employees are truly lazy and not helpful at all. God forbid you ask one of them a question about mailing a package while THEY'RE at work. They really are bad for our Rockrimmon's neighborhood. Awful bunch of people working there. I have always waited in line here. It's not just that they're understaffed it's that they move sooooo slow and don't give a damn. Stay away!! read more
