I've used the St. Clair Shores post office for over 30 years. Today I had the most upsetting…read moreexperience. I went to mail coupons to a military base in Germany that my church collected, cut out and sorted for them to use. I've only mailed them once and forgot which mailing pouch or box that I sent the first batch in. I mentioned to the clerk all this information. She asked for the zip code and I showed her the Customs Declaration form with the information. I said that I have 2 Ziploc bags that I'd like to send together. She then pushed all my things over to the side and proceeded to help the next customer. I asked her if someone was going to help me, and she replied,"You're not ready." I only asked one more question about what to use to send the coupons and she pointed across the room and said, "Get a box from there." and that was it! I was so stunned that I just collected my things and said I'd go to another post office. She just said, "Yes, you do that." I tried calling the office from my car in the parking lot but no one ever answered, nor was there a way to leave a message. I'm sorry that I didn't stay put and demand to see a supervisor right then on the spot to take care of this because I doubt anything will be done to fix this problem. I am now home - with all my coupons for the military servicemen and women in Ansbach, Germany - fuming that I didn't accomplish getting this package out today! There was absolutely no care or consideration provided by the clerk. She is a poor example of the United States Postal Service.

I visit this post office often because it's convenient that they have a lobby that contains a…read moremachine where postage labels can be printed before the post office opens. The line can grow quickly here, however I've seen employees come from the back to move the line and get customers taken care of more quickly. I like the smiles and being greeted. They have ample parking in the front as well as on the side of the building. It's almost most crowded during the holidays.

That was the case today, so I decided to try a different post office. Fraser post office to the rescue! They are tiny, and out-of-the-way, which really helps in this particular case. And, the lady behind the counter could not have been more friendly. She had no problem scanning the 18 packages I brought in, and we had a nice conversation as she did so. I think I may have found a new favorite post office.

Bought a book of 20 for some extras. Parking is a bad set up, if you park along the building, your only walking path is the driveway. It's a very small post office inside. Not the warmest or friendliest of staff here at all. 20 stamps for $11.60.

I usually get a prepaid return label, but in the occasions where one is not provided, the UPS store has helped me out with that. And they've also been a great help with anything else shipping and mailing. I've always found the staff to be courteous and accurate with their services here, which include the standard shipping and mailing, but also fax services, paper shredding, private mailboxes and many others. The store is a bit small, so they have a current social distancing limit of 4 customers in the store at a time. That hasn't been a big deal for me, I don't usually have to wait but when I do it hasn't been for a very long time at all. They have a great location on Gratiot, with several free parking options including out front on Gratiot, on the side streets right around the corner, and there's a parking lot in the back.

Mind you when you do it this way it cost more. I received 3 copies of 3 pages and it cost me around $10 Compared to the normal... I think it's 7 or 8 cents at staples. But this is kinda your one stop shop I was able to get a UPS priority express certified envelope there so boom and I'm set ready to rock and roll!!! Oh and people are really friendly they are really helpful I definitely recommend this place.

Well the correct paper work was NOT put on the box. How do I know? Because the box was returned to me with an awful tape job. Have to get the box out today for the return - found a place open late and we know that have people that will do it correctly. My advice do not leave the store until you see the finished product.
