To be completely honest I was prepared to expect the worst specially with the post office. But it was a great experience the staff was very quick attentive and very helpful. Also the people on this side of town where very nice and polite. For a Saturday I thought it was going to be really busy, but actually it was pretty smooth in there and there was a lot of parking. they also had this self service station machine that you can use if you don't want to wait in line which was pretty cool haven't seen those anywhere else. I would definitely keep this post office location in mind I liked it a lot it's just a little bit far from where I'm at. But Great experience overall. read more

Few things stress me out more which is pathetic than the USPS. When I see via the orange tag that something was not delivered and I got to go and pick it up it gives me the shakes. This place can get a little busy. For the past three weeks I have had to pick up packages. When I did there was a separate line to do that. On the most recent stop things changed and everyone was lumped into one line. Of course I stood where I have been standing previously with my orange tag in my hand. Not one employee asked if they could help or offer direction until after I felt stupid and asked. I thank the heavens that aside for the orange tags..there are plenty of other carries and places to assist me with taking care of my mailing needs. read more

This place is the worst. I am standing in the "passport center" right now. There were 2 people assisting everyone and one of them told me that he would be with me after he got through the line a bit. I waited for about 10 minutes and he left without saying anything. Then the line helper talked to the only employee behind a counter. I hear them say, "Where is _____?" "I don't know, lunch or a doctors appointment." After listening to the employees try to pass me off to a worker in the back, I decided to begin writing this. As usual an absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable long wait (47 minutes!) with the line almost out the door and of course only two miserable and very slow employees working at the counter both disappearing for long periods of time and then one has the audacity to go on break, yes they all must have their breaks (screw the customers waiting right!) But it doesn't matter how angry you get and this review doesn't matter and nothing will ever be done because this is our government not working hard with taxpayers money and it is no surprise that the post office is billions of dollars in debt but one thing is for sure I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN ANOTHER POST OFFICE AGAIN, spend the extra dollar and go to UPS or another mailing service. read more

It's your standard post office. This one does have an automated machine so you can send packages after hours or when there is a long line.

The lines are RIDICULOUS. The employees don't hustle for anything here... I guess they get paid the same if they move like snails or like lightning, so why would they bust a move? They are so frequently out of the stamp designs I'm interested in. I'd give fewer stars but the employees are actually very helpful and friendly, when I finally reach the counter. I would give this place zero stars after my visit today. I came here to mail a letter and also buy some stamps. The Asian guy (who I've never seen work there before) only charged me for the stamps and expected me to mail the letter myself. Why would I wait 15 minutes in line at the post office to mail the letter myself?! The stamps were $9.80, so I gave him a $20 bill. He only gave me $0.20 back, so I told him that I should get $10 back as well since I gave him $20. He started arguing with me and making a scene in the middle of the post office like, "NO, YOU GAVE ME $10! LOOK ON THE RECEIPT! CHECK THE CAMERAS! CHECK CAMERAS!!!" As we proceeded to argue and other people laughed, he asked me for my name and phone number. For what?! To label me as a criminal for stealing $10? Not my fault he didn't know how to distinguish money! Fortunately, I got my $10 that I should've received in the first place and booked it outta there. I'm never coming here again! read more

Juan from the pick up window is a liar, he won't see through the tasks he says he'll do for his customers. I went to intercept a package and all he wanted to do was take my number and my package number down to see if it was back there, but my tracking said it was there. When it comes to professionalism and satisfaction guaranteed, USPS is not the place for it. You could look, but you're more likely to find gold between your legs with a leprechaun trying to steal it. What does Guaranteed Delivery Day mean to them? Nothing apparently. Employees seem knowlegable and friendly, but avoid Saturdays for passport service if you can. It's the day all the families with kids come because weekday hours for passports interfere with school. We waited over an hour with several other families. The workers were competent and effecient, it's just something that takes awhile. This place is horrible. There are only two clerks working and only ONE is working the counter to help with shipping. The other one is helping with pick ups. The line is already long before the doors even open, not very friendly. I wouldn't come here if it wasn't so close to my house. I have been trying to get a hold of the Henderson PO for two days. The line rings busy EVERYTIME!!! I have something in the big mail box at the community boxes at my house. The key won't open it and the postman doesn't know, supposedly, that the box is stuck closed. The worst customer service I have ever had at a post office. The old guy with the southern accent is a lazy pos and doesn't deserve to work with the public. I came in to take care of my business and he refused to help. He would not listen and would not complete the necessary details to complete my transaction. He pretended to walk to the back to check the fax and hold letter area but didn't really do it. I walked into this post office expecting the same type of service and dreaded going in. However I was helped by a sweet Asian lady, I didn't quite catch her name I wish I would have. This is a horrible post office with a horrible manager. They don't even bother to deliver packages they just send them back and then the manager has no explanation why they do it. Then some 14 days later they try to deliver the pkg and want more postage for it! The entire staff should be fired! This review is of the Horizon Ridge post office in Henderson nv. On 1/9/19 I requested a mail hold from 1/12-1/15 as someone said she mailed me a package, and packages are sometimes left outside the door- and sometimes stolen. I received confirmation, and on 1/13 received email that mail delivery will resume 1/15. On 1/14, my husband checked our mailbox as he didn't know I put on hold. There was a package. I Tract it, and it was delivered on my mailbox on 1/12- it explicitly says so. Then at evening of 14th he checked for letters, because our mail carrier delivers late. And there were letters. Today I called the Horizon Ridge postal office and a Neil answered. He said to talk to him as he was supervisor. He gave all kinds of excuses, I got so frustrated with him as I knew they were lies. He hung up the phone. I called again and spoke with Honor, another supervisor. She said that the supervisor, Neil is supposed to print the request and give it to mail carrier. No wonder he was defensive. Honor said she will ask the mail carrier then call me back. Really bad service- requesting mail hold as there are so many package burglars. Then a supervisor bring very defensive and hanging up. read more

As an employee at Valle Verde, I feel the need to share my appreciation for our temporary Postmaster, Sheila. For 3 decades, the majority of our management has been condescending and abusive to their employees. The moral has been very low, and we have not had access to the resources needed to perform our jobs properly. Since Sheila walked through our doors, the moral has skyrocketed! She uses a positive approach in her managing skills. She is incredibly knowledgeable about our jobs. She has welcomed input from the employees. She gets results. Talking to her does not land on deaf ears. She makes each employee feel important and that their ideas and skills matter. She has improved every aspect of our office. When she sees something that needs to be done, she does it immediately. I have never been more impressed by any member of our supervision as I am with Sheila. She makes reporting to work a pleasure, and makes everyone feel we're part of a winning team. I hope Sheila will become a permanent Postmaster for Henderson. We've needed a leader like her for far too long. If you are a customer in need of help, I'm sure you will be pleased with Shelia and the results she provides. read more

If I could give this place a negative I would!!! This post office is the only and worst thing about Vegas that I can name since moving here in May!!! I received incorrect information multiple times from multiple employees and when I asked to speak to the manager on duty she asked me if I wanted to rip her a new one!!!!!! I've had my PO Box here since they opened. I HATE this place and the people with a passion for the rudeness and sloppiness. My outgoing utility payments never arrive at their appropriate places around town. Therefore, I now drive to the main Sunset Rd P.O. I never get a key in my mailbox to pick up packages so as a handicapped person I have to wait in line for the window to open. The Asian teller is beyond mean and lazy, and the black teller charges extra and has no knowledge of mail prices. The blonde teller is just plain lazy and has no knowledge. The kiosk is my lifesaver. I have been here for over 15 years and still leave furious EVERY time I am forced to use their service in picking up packages that should be in my PO box. It is useless to talk with their supervisor because they refuse to come to the counter to talk with you. read more
