I had a great experience here for my passport renewal photo. You do have to make an appointment in advance and you do still have to wait in a line for the individual assigned that day to passports, but they are helpful, friendly, and know their stuff. I HIGHLY recommend you go in early for your appointment and with all your documentation already put together so that you can instantly mail it off with them after your photo because the ones who don't go in prepared are the reason that - even with an appointment - you can be there an age (it is 100% NOT on the employees - they are seriously amazing, hard-working individuals). read more

I recently had to track my lost package with US postal service at 1 League, Irvine location. I had a situation where the postal delivery person scanned the delivery package in front of my house but gave it to my neighbors instead. The postal service person at 1 League Irvine was very patient and listened to my situation. His name is Rob and I can't tell you how appreciative I am of his service and commitment. He tracked down the person who delivered the package, knocked on my neighbor's door, and then sent the two packages to me next day at 6 pm. Thank you so much! I checked around my neighborhood and texted the neighbor that had the exact house number as mine, but I couldn't just randomly knocked on any door. So, thank you! read more

Great, great post office! I went here to pack up some extremely large packages and the ladies that work here helped me so much. They helped me pick out which packages I needed, helped me tape up boxes, waited while I was actually packing up. The ladies also suggested how to ship the packages and which would be most cost effective. The employees definitely go above and beyond here! read more

Passport experience was incredible because the kind and easy going employee made it perfect. Knowledgeable, proactive and professional all delivered with a smile. This is how I would imagine post offices ran in the days of yore, where you were treated well and had a friendly chat. I hate this place. Really. I had a lot of very large packages shipped to me about 6mo's ago (4 of them over 50lbs) and the delivery guy "missed" both myself and my husband multiple times. We had to go down to the office to pick them up - wait 45mins to get to the counter and another 20 for the packages to be found - wheel them out to the car (without help) and struggle with them to get up the staircase to our apartment. When we got them home the DVD player in one of the boxes (which was busted open) was literally bent in half at a 40 degree angle. I think those lazy SOB's were playing hockey in the back room with our packages. The general manager never returned my calls and refused to let me email the pics of the thing - and it was an insured package! Check out my profile pictures, heh. I wish I was exaggerating. The best part - one Saturday as my husband and I were both home he went to take the trash out and found the lazy butt delivery guy writing a sorry-we-missed-you note on our doorstep. I like that this post office is close by my place. It's convenient that they have a couple of "self check out" machines! I can weigh and but my own stamps for packages and send them on their way without waiting in line for too long. Some of the clerks here are (like any other places) pleasant while others are not. I often go to this post office, and I have three positives and two negatives to describe, so I think a 3-star rating is appropriate. The Good - The passport people, namely Caitland and a middle-aged Asian man, are awesome. I needed to get a "special issue" passport for an international volunteer program, and even though these passport applications are uncommon, they took care of it efficiently and effectively. In particular, Caitland was very knowledgeable and demonstrated great leadership skills. - Though not as knowledgeable as Caitland, the Asian man mentioned earlier was very courteous and careful. It was clear he cared about my situation and needs. - The middle-aged Korean lady is an efficient postal worker and great at her job. She, Caitland, and the Asian man are the three stars that this post office gets. The Bad - Trinh is extremely rude and impatient. I needed to send a package to Maryland, and though I wrote very legibly and even showed her the address on my phone, she claimed that the address "did not exist" because she couldn't find it on the computer. She refused to double-check to make sure she spelled it correctly, insisting that I was wrong and she was right because she "sees this all the time." I found the address on Google Maps and went to a different postal worker (the Korean lady), who (surprise!) found the address easily and was able to help me. Overall, Trinh was very dismissive of my needs. - In another occasion, I needed help with mailing something, but the postal workers were impatient and refused to give me any of their time, at least not for a while. This happened a while ago, so I don't remember the specifics, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the incident with Trinh. read more

Had a terrible experience at this Post Office. I had gone there to return a package that was valued at $1200.00. When I asked the person at the counter to explain my options for mailing she became very belligerent with attitude. At that point this conversation was going no where and I had made up mind I wasn't leaving a $1,200.00 package with them. I left and found other options to the Post Office. This person has no business at the front counter, maybe sorting mail is their speed. The US Post Office needs to address this because there are better options available. read more

There was a long line, full of difficult people who didn't watch a YouTube tutorial on how to tape a package. Luckily we had an appointment to process a passport request. We did have to wait in line even though we had the appointment, hence the 4 stars, but overall the experience was great. We finished our processing of the passports in about 15 minutes once we got to the desk. People give post office workers crap here because of their attitude, of course they have an attitude when they deal with imbeciles all day. Our lady was very nice! read more

Horrible customer service. My package got returned without a final notice. The lady is saying it's a computer generated system and my address wasn't on the tracking system. Ok... it's NOT my fault. I asked her what I can do then. She said I could claim on USPS website but that won't really do anytning. What kind of answer is that. Ever since I found this hidden post office in Irvine I use this one over the one I used to go to near UCI. This post office is usually empty, I rarely encounter any lines because it's hidden between a bunch of business buildings. I come here because it's quick, efficient and there is no traffic coming in and out of this place. I've NEVER had to wait more than 10 minutes in the times I've come, which is completely opposite from all the other post offices I've been to in my lifetime!!! Ive been calling everyday of the week attempting to get information on an envelope that needed to be redelivered and havent seen it yet . At one point i did get someone on the phone and she cut me off right away and stated she was currently helping somebody else and recommended i call back in 15 mins and she'd take my call and help me . Well i called and again i received no answer. Looking over the reviews i guess i wont see that package or even get assistance as to see if it was returned to sender or what happened . If you are seeking hell on earth, you would have found it in this location. Service is insanely slow and incompetent, they lose packages and fail deliveries constantly. No wonder people are thinking of dismantling the USPS - this location is the prime example why it's failing it's customers. To make matters worse, the lines inside are always, without fail, 20 or more deep, making it next to near impossible to get anything done. Want to squeeze in an errand run to this USPS location? Make sure to clear your entire day's schedule cause you'll be waiting on line until you are old and gray. read more

So I usually drop off my packages to this post office on my way to work. One of the few post offices in the area that open up at 7:30 am vs the typical 8 am. The post office has a drop bin for packages on the inside and outside, which is nice for off hrs. Sometimes both bins get full which requires me to come back another day. This post office gets quite busy early on in the week, especially at noon, so I try and do all my errands early in the morning. The supply bins are well stocked and the staff is pretty friendly. During christmas time parking gets tough. The place is understaffed which usually causes delays but you cant blame the employees about that, if your in a hurry they have the automated machine outside which is pretty easy to use. read more

I have been inside a few times over the years and haven't had the worse experiences but at the same time it's the post office. Inside you are dealing with government employees and some of them a grumpy, some of them aren't. It's "almost" like any other place but I can see more grumpy-ness here. It's understood to a point, they are locked in to their jobs and they perform the basic duties to standard. They don't have to go above and beyond (unfortunately) to provide customer service. There are no tips. Low reviews don't matter. None of that. We still have to go here and will go here regardless lol. Again, it's all unfortunate but it is what it is. So with that being said, they are a fully functional post office with services. I don't know if they do passports anymore tho. Not sure. But PO boxes and shipping and receiving is right up their alley. As I stated in my tip, if you'd rather not deal with the employees and the lines and you need to ship items or get stamps (which you can do at many other stores) you can use the 24 hour automated machine to do so. Very easy to use and convenient. Boom, no more grumpy Gus's. read more

My PO Box was broken into, along with quite a few others. Mail was stolen. They have had other vandalism besides the day my box was broken into. They need to put up cameras all throughout the lobby. Also, there is so much misthrown mail delivered to the PO Boxes. They have a dedicated slot for Box Holders to place all that misthrown mail, and that slot is almost always filled. I wish the people who deliver the mail to the boxes would slow down and thus there would be less misthrown mail. read more

Worst customer service I ever encountered at post office, by a rep named HEE. I waited on the line quietly no problem, and finally got called by this rep named HEE. She has short hair, asian rep with strong Korean accent at far end counter. I nicely asked her to send out a letter within few days. She asked me to fill out One-Day Express form. There was no pen on the counter or in the store, and I didn't have one with me, so I nicely asked her for a pen that I can borrow and she was already irritated. Other customer was doing the same thing on next counter. She filled up her form aside of the counter and asked her rep if she needs to go to back of the line again. Her rep said "No, I will take care of you after this customer. " in smile, which I think is normally the way to go. I quickly finished my form in a minute. HEE was assisting other customer already, so I quietly waited in front of her, behind the customer she was assisting, so HEE can see me. In fact, her eyes checked on me. Then, unbelievably, HEE TRIED TO SKIP ME, EVEN THOUGH I WAS WAITING IN FRONT OF HER and SHE KNEW I WAS WAITING with finished form. HEE shouted "Next person on line!" as she was looking at me. I was shocked by her OBVIOUS IGNORANCE, but I quickly put my form on the counter which she asked me to fill up a minute ago. She tried to skip me by pretending she didn't see me but I was definitely in front of her, so she couldn't ignore me any longer. (I really should have change the counter at this point, to avoid even more bad customer service experience which is coming more after this.) HEE clearly showed her irritation and started to take my letter. I made one mistake on ONE ALPHABET on the form. She pointed out, so I quickly fixed it within few seconds, it was that easy. Within that few seconds, she tut-tutted in frustration and let out HEAVIEST SIGH. Then, HEE WAS CURSING IN HER NATIVE LANGUAGE. I have many Asian friends so I easily recognized her language. HEE was cursing in her language "Oh my god, this girl doesn't know what she is doing----- " kind of thing. I almost said something to her on spot, but I decided to just finish up my thing, because I didn't want to use my time and energy to deal with this kind of person especially right before holiday. I kept thinking to cancel the order or change the counter. But line was super long as this was before holiday and I will end up bothering other people indirectly by making them wait etc. HEE charged me for One-Day Express for my within few days shipping request. I paid, holding my anger. On the screen, I did not choose the option of receipt yet but HEE automatically just printed the receipt only (there was choice of email, email& printed as well) and put it on the counter WITH NO WORDS, NOT EVEN LOOKING AT ME, AND WALKED OFF TO THE BACK. What kind of customer service is this?!?! Can a post office service counter rep be that bad to innocent citizens of the community?? How does she feel if she was treated the same way?!?! I was coming here to send a holiday card to my loved one. I behaved very well, but I was treated like a piece of garbage by HEE on this holiday season. I felt anger and sad that I was treated badly with RACISM. I really want this USPS store manger to recognize her bad behavior towards customers, and discuss if she still deserve to be the same. People like HEE should solve self-motivation issue at work. She definitely should not keep providing bad behavior with her mood & RACISM to the community. Love this post office. I come here very often when I need to send something out. I don't know what all the bad reviews are about. Yes this post office is very crowded and that's because there aren't many post offices that allow you to send to PO boxes around the area. I understand that this isn't a good enough reason but still. If you come at the right time (usually between 1-330) you should be fine. The parking lot is small but that's why you need to come at the right time. The staff is really helpful and friendly (well the two girls that work there) I was in here yesterday because I needed to send a letter with priority mail and there was a long line and only one person working (not sure why), but another lady that works there helped me skip the line and send my letter out with the self check out machine!! I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. I would recommend more employees if the waiting is such a huge problem for many people! read more

This PO is listed as passport acceptance facility on both State Dept and USPS websites. However, it requires to make an appointment in advance. Tried calling dozens of times, no one ever answers the phone. So, I thought, maybe they are "busy" as usual and do NOT WANT to answer phones. To my surprise this facility is no longer accepting passport applications. Wouldn't it be nice to mention it either on the website or at least set up a a message with the answering machine that this shithole is no longer accepting passport applications? Why is anything government is full of shit? Be it a DMV or a USPS. There has to be an alternative to these sloths so that they will end up without a job. read more

Worst service I've ever received, anywhere, and I'm usually pretty lenient, considering I spent a long time in customer service. I'm new to selling online, so I came in with packages and boxes. The lady at the window was INCREDIBLY rude while saying that I had to use different boxes and that I needed my own tape. "Okay, that makes sense," I said, but then asked what I should do with the particular labels I had. She told me to use priority mail boxes. When I couldn't find the right size box and didn't know if I could stick my labels on it properly, she was nowhere to be seen. She literally HID from me and popped back up only when I'd stepped back and the next guy walked up. I asked her why she wasn't able to help me with the boxes, and -this is what really chapped me- I told her that the first time I had come in someone else had helped me and she immediately started DEMANDING to know what their name was so that she could get them fired. I don't know what this person's deal was, but it was really unsettling. I'll be going to the Tustin location from now on. read more

Worst service ever. Dropped an International package off on Monday, already postage stamped however the clerk told me just to leave it at the window they would scan it later. Three days later the package still shows that it hasn't been received at the post office.. I was told today that the package is scanned at a different facility and it would be done within 24 hours. No trace of my package it shows that a label was only printed but never received by the post office. How could this possibly be. This is the second time this is happened to me at this particular post office the last incident the package sat in their building for five days before it was shipped out. Awful customer service. I have my packages ready to go and they won't scan them. Told me to go to the machine even though it would take her 2 seconds to scan and give me a receipt. The manager is saying it's due to covid which is complete BS because if it was due to covid maybe they wouldn't allow people to come in here without masks during a mask mandate. She doesn't want to scan the package because of covid but yet you can come in here with NO MASK during the mask mandate and they will serve you. Wow! I will be calling corporate. Unacceptable! Rude! Supervisor Gina and her Manager Oscar were extremely rude. Rather than be helpful and answer my questions about what course of action I should take if my package was damaged during shipping they talked back and had a very bad attitude when talking to me. Gina first claimed that I could contact the usps insurance and file a claim but then her manager tells me I would not be able to do this because it was shipped internationally. Why am I getting different answers from these people? I asked Gina why her manager said I could not file a claim and she said "its above my pay"... are the f***ing kidding me!? Truly disgusting how useless these two were during this transaction, definitely need an attitude adjustment if you plan to stay in a custom service based job. It's no wonder the USPS is a dying service. UPS drivers and store workers are far more competent and polite than the idiots I was forced to work with today. read more

I have been going here since 2006 and I can see so much improvement in their service. A couple of staff are super nice and helpful. The staff who help at the right corner window for pick ups are mostly friendly and crack jokes. And this last time they exceeded customer service on all levels helping me out on a Saturday at 4 pm (they close at 3pm on Saturdays) to mail something overnight. To make it short, I needed to ship my package to a PO box address to be delivered by Monday morning, so couldn't use FEDEX or UPS. I got to this post office at 4pm and, sure, they were closed. No more mail pick ups here after 4pm, so the self service machine wouldn't help. Standing there feeling like being driven to extremities, I saw one of the staff walking at the parking lot. I ran to him and asked for his advice and he said the mail pick up truck is inside and quickly called his cowroker to help me out. By the time I got to the backdoor, someone was standing there waiting for me. He helped me get everything done in a very friendly way and he assured me that my package will get there on time. AWESOME! Being the unluckiest person, I was still nervous.... I can't be that lucky, can I? OF COURSE NOT! My package didn't get there on Monday because of a USPS error. The package was missent from Rocklin post office (bas@#$%*s) and it took 6 days to get to the destination.... Did I tell you I am the unluckiest creature on the Milky Way? I had to call USPS and ask for a letter stating it was their error. Well, of course getting to talk to a human at 1800 ASK USPS is a different story... and there I learned I could have gone directly to this same office and asked for a letter rather than being on hold on the phone for ever... read more
