    Handy T.

Although this location can be crowded and slow, especially at the peak hours, I appreciate all the staff. They are all friendly and nice, even helping me save a couple bucks.

    Ah yes Irvine.

The clerks are doing what they can to keep the line open, asking mini services they can preform if there is a hold up with their current client. I have to say too that the public needs to be mindful of the people around them and should conduct all of their finished packaging and mail writing before entering the line... or at the very least before the service desk. If we all work together, we can make the service a lot faster and happier for everyone. Thank you.

She didn't even stop and see if she caused any damages. She sped away. The parking lot has a lot of dead angles where people who shouldn't be driving come and go. Ahhh the beauty of Irvine shines through here quite brightly. It's not so much because of the poor service rendered by the actual postal workers that makes this location so terrible. It's the behaviors of the customers that causes a lot of delays and frustration. I am still experiencing secondhand embarrassment days later. Some are not the most prepared with their stuff before their turn. Like not having the address needed to send the package. As always, there's always someone who tries to haggle, complain about the prices, or try to get the whole transaction redone to switch to a cheaper no frills option. It's honestly astonishing to me how little concerns those expensive car driving people have for others once inside. Very low class and one of many reasons why I absolutely abhor Irvine area anything. Talking loudly on the phone and failing to realize it's their turn for example. Or trying to cut in line even though there's a long line of people. My goodness. I am just gonna stick with my neighborhood postal office. The amount of stress incurred by coming here is not worth it.

For the notary, they were careful and detail-oriented. When it came to my baby's passport photo, they initially suggested taking the photo at home since it can be easier for babies. However, when I arrived, they were more than willing to try taking the photo there--and my baby did just fine. The photo was printed within about ten minutes and it cost $18.31 for two copies of 2x2. This price is reasonable compared to other places. The staff member who helped us was very kind and patient with both me and my baby. I also noticed they assist with TSA PreCheck processing, which is super convenient. The location is clean, the staff are helpful, and I highly recommend Postal Annex for notary services, passports, and shipping needs.

I had heard that PostalAnnex specialized in multiple sizes passport and visa photos (Postal Annex came recommended to me for Chinese Visas - you can even pay them to fill out and submit the application for you! But I opted to do it myself but I still needed the photo). I called just to make sure and they told me they indeed do passport and visa photos (including for China) and when I asked if I needed to make an appointment - they said "no you can just show up anytime during opening hours but it's good to come at least 15 minutes before closing because the whole process takes about 15 minutes) When I showed up there was plenty of parking (it is located on the intersection of Culver and Irvine Center Drive in the main shopping center across from the McDonalds. There was also a sign on the window advertising that they do photos and the Chinese Visas so that was a good sign. The man who took my photo was very nice and knowledgeable - I liked that he seemed very experienced and had done a ton of these before. I also liked how he showed me my photo to make sure I liked it for final approval before he just printed it. You give them your email address for the digital copy and then you also get 2 printed photos for $24.99 which came to about $26 after tax. I just waited in the store (they have 3 chairs you can wait in and have a fridge with drinks to purchase too - or you can walk around the center while you wait). The woman Amrit who works there was also very reassuring and friendly and super helpful as was the man (whose name I didn't get). I chose this location because the other Postal Annex has received some negative Yelp reviews for unfriendly service but at this location (15333 Culver Dr) the service was OUTSTANDING and I will be coming here for all my future passport and visa photo needs! (They also do mailing, have mailboxes, etc.)

My kids and I came in around 3:30 PM and waited our turn like everyone else. While in line, we watched one employee, Monica, dealing with a very loud customer who was saying all kinds of things that clearly frustrated her. I get it -- difficult customers happen. But the problem was how it affected our interaction afterward. When it was our turn, Monica immediately seemed irritated. She asked if I was "sending this to Korea?" and then looked me and my kids up and down in a way that felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. She then proceeded to unwrap my already‑sealed package and tell me I needed to buy USPS "approved" tape -- something I hadn't seen mentioned on the USPS website. Still, I complied, bought the tape, and repackaged everything. We went back in line hoping we'd get the other worker, Michael, who had been smiling and friendly the whole time. No luck -- we got Monica again. As I set the package down, she suddenly asked, "Did you try to hit me with your box?" I was honestly stunned. I explained I only had one hand free and definitely did not hit her. Instead of accepting that, she insisted I "tried" to hit her and refused to help me any further. She then passed my package to Michael, who was polite, helpful, and even gave me tips for shipping to Korea more cost‑effectively in the future. The contrast between the two employees was huge. Michael deserves 5 stars -- friendly, calm, and professional. Monica... not so much. My kids even asked, "Why is that lady so mean?" Everyone has bad days, but customer service is a big part of working at USPS, and interactions like this make a stressful errand even worse.

Like I said, the service has always been great here! I also love this location because they have self service machines inside the building and the doors are open 24/7. Tonight, even the general nighttime manager saw me at the machine and dropped died to chat. He was so sweet and friendly. The clerks here are always great too. Never had an issue by the way the postcard stamps are $.61 each. How I miss those days when they were $.15 each lol I guess the value is still good if you consider everything else has been inflated. I still highly recommend this USPS location for all your mailing needs..
