I just had another great experience at this USPS. I had to ship a package so I waited in line this morning on New Year's Eve around 9:30 am. There was quite a line when I entered, but I was in and out of there in eleven minutes; I timed it. The lady who helped me, Melissa, started our interaction with an apology for the wait, then weighed my package, gave me pricing options for sending it, and then showed me all the Forever stamps she had on hand since I asked to see them. She didn't rush me and was pleasant the whole time. This place gets my stamp of approval! read more

The drop shoot inside of the facility has not been fixed in a long time still. The next nearest USPS is another 15 minutes away. In addition to that, I will drop my packages off in the morning and it will take a couple days until I get notification that it has been shipped. In comparison to Camino Al Norte location, they will mark it shipped and a tracking # is provided a couple of hours after I drop my packages off. If that drop shoot can be fixed, it would make a world of a difference for everyone. read more

Apparently delivering mail has become discretionary, as does answering the phone at USPS. I put 3 items in the outgoing mail slot 4 days ago and they are still sitting there (you can see them) and I did not get the mail I was supposed to get the day after I attempted to mail these items. (I am signed up for mail delivery notifications.) So I called the post office to inquire when someone might be picking up and delivering mail again. After making the selections, being transferred, and it ringing a bunch you get a message that says "sorry, can't take your call", and then disconnects you. Wondering why this is in any way acceptable in any way. Thanks for nothing USPS! read more

I came here to get my mail at the designated window for mail and my Box key which I've been waiting for for 3 weeks and was told on my last trip that it take up to 4 to 6 weeks! WTF! So I walk in today and there at least 20 to 30 people in line. This place is a fucking joke. read more

I have gone to this post office numerous times due to having to get a new mail lock and key. Although 1 out of the 5 times I went there the lines were super duper long, if you have the time to wait, it really isn't that bad. All the employees were really respectful, helpful and polite. Shout out to Tammy and Susan. I learned a lot while waiting in line. For instance, if you want to walk in for passports, you gotta go on Friday morning at 7AM because the line will be pretty long. The websites say walk in hours M,W,&F but I heard differently while there. Also make sure to have all your paperwork filled out in black ink. I also learned that if you are picking up mail at the window/blue door to the side, if it's closed, just jump into the long line as there is only one line since they are short staffed. If you are using the machine to buy stamps, make sure to look really well at the bottom dispenser or you'll miss them. If you bought a house and are there to pick up your mail keys, or you are like me, who needs a new lock and keys, be sure to bring a copy of your title, a utility bill, or lease agreement (if you are a renter). Those are the only way to obtain your mailbox keys. Since I had mine replaced, I had to pay $40 for 3 new keys and a lock. I think overall, spending time in line and watching the employees deal with customers, (some nice and some not so nice) they do a really great job. They are all very helpful but the most helpful one who I saw most of the time was Susan. She makes sure to be aware of people coming in and their needs. Passport lady is super rude. I got there at 8 waited in line for an hr then she told me they were no longer taking walk ins and she had to leave. It was my daughter's birthday and I pulled her out of school. Then I asked her if she knew of another post office that did them and she was like I know our hours of operation in this rude condescending tone like I was bothering her. This review is NOT about the post office at this address BUT FOR THE US POSTAL SERVICE IN GENERAL since yelp does not have a generic US Postal Service review site. Anyway we generally don't have much to say about the Jones branch although sometime there is a crazy wait time. Anyway, I had to mail a small priority package to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. So last Saturday the 22nd, I dropped off the package, paid $19 and change. The very nice clerk confirmed the address etc and told me it "should be there by Tuesday" and of course the receipt noted "expected delivery" by Tuesday. No guarantees of course. So where's my package ? In post office speak, "working its way through the system " "delivery date unknown" . Now bear in mind this package has been in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in various postal facilities since the 24th. So when in the fu*k is my package going to get from Dallas-Ft. Worth to the Denton Texas address (39 miles away approximately) ? This is not the first time it's happened. I 've given up sending birthday and greeting cards to the east coast after many 14 day trips and lost items. Started sending ecards and I'm going to start using pirate shipping a third party shipper that works with UPS. So disappointing read more

Closes branch to my house, it's normally packed out the door lines and there is 3-4 maybe 5 workers at a time with a huge line. Never stoked with envelopes or sending boxes. The line to pick up mail is always long too. Cashiers apologize for the long waits but it never gets any better not sure what the issue is. Let's face it, in general I don't think many of us expect to be wowed by the speed or customer service at the US post office anymore. I know for me, it's somewhere I try to avoid unless absolutely necessary. I've had to come here a couple of times to order and then pick up new keys for my neighborhood mailbox, and both times it was crazy busy in here with a long line of folks waiting. On my first visit, I too lined up, and while the line was moving reasonably quickly, I had resigned myself to the fact I could be here some time. However, I got lucky that someone out back saw I was holding some paperwork and asked if I was here to order mailbox keys (which I was) and was subsequently taken to a dedicated window. On my second visit, I knew to just go straight there. The individuals I dealt with were friendly and helpful. This is a convenient and easy to get to location being just off the 215 freeway exit, and there is ample parking to boot. So overall, no real complaints and will definitely come to this location next time I am in need of visiting a USPS location. read more

Website says that you can walk in for passport on Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 9am... fun fact- they don't open until 8:30 and even though we lined up outside and waited for them to open, they said we were too late and would not help us. The lady was SOOOOOO RUDE!! Maybe find a different job if you HATE people. Would not recommend this post office. This woman is a disgrace to USPS & should be fired. Went in as a walking for my passport: they were scheduled to open at 8:30 so I arrived at 7:25. They ended up opening early at 7:30 am. There was about 10 people in front of me, but I was done by 8:40. I know the website says walk-ins from 8:30-9:30 on Mondays but based on what I saw, that's not correct. There were people that tried to walk-in at 8:30 but they were turned away, so I'm guessing they stop taking walk-in's for passports when the post office opens. This location lately is always line at the door, it's about 10-15 minute wait. The envelopes aren't always stocked and to the bare minimum of options to choose from. Most the time workers are friendly but sometimes you'll get one that has an attitude. Prices to ship has went up over a dollar. This post office isn't great. The lines are always backed up. The machines are always broken. It's pretty busy so you think they'd have more people working. Also they aren't super helpful. I forgot to label a box, I know my fault. But the other post office just printed it out for me and here they refused to. My postal worker never picks up any packages or mail that I leave outgoing in my mailbox so I have to come to the post office often. I used to really like using USPS over UPS, but I'm gonna rethink that. read more

Update. It's been 10 weeks and 7 trips. I finally got the correct key but still no mail. I came last week and they found 2 months of mail. I'm not sure why they couldn't find it before. I told the clerk I still wasn't getting mail in my box he said he would leave a note for the carrier to stop holding it. I asked if I needed to fill out a form. The clerk said no the note would be given to the carrier. Here I am back again no mail in my box. The line is long today and everyone is upset. read more

I got here early for the walk-in passport. I arrived around 6:50am and there was one lady already in line with her son. Another guy showed up shortly after me. They were sharing their stories with me about how rude the USPS employees have been to them in the past. The things they told me were almost unbelievable. I've dealt with people that hate their jobs, but wow, the people they were telling me about took it all. With that said, I was worried as it was early and I didn't want to start my Friday dealing with rude people. Around 7:30am, the manager, Anthony, came out. He was super friendly and talkative and went over the process with us. There was a lot more people in line by this time. He quickly reviewed all the applications with everyone in line to ensure they had everything needed and weren't wasting their time. He allowed the first four in line in and the agent behind the counter, a Latina woman greeted us with a smile. I wish I could remember her name!! Ugh! They started with the first person around 7:40, earlier than their posted time of 8am, I can't express how much everyone appreciated that. Anthony made it clear that he was going to try his best to get all walk-in's processed, but he asked for patience as he was going to have to squeeze people in between appointments. This was an amazing gesture and so much appreciated. My experience with Anthony and the Latina who was processing the applications was great. I do NOT have one bad thing to say about my experience. To Anthony and the woman who was processing the passport applications that day, please know that you are appreciated! Please keep the positive attitude and friendliness. It goes a long way. First time at this post office location. There was a long line when I went, but it did go by fast. They offer post office boxes, passports, and their normal mailing services. There is the automated machine for shipping if you don't want to wait in line. There's a large parking lot for parking. read more

Five weeks ago I completed a forwarding request. Not only for myself, but for my business. Thousands of dollars in payments from clients have been coming through the mail and I can't get them. Nobody knows where my mail is being forwarded to because it's not coming to my new address. I keep getting the runaround from both locations and not one single person has been able to assist in finding my mail. I don't believe them for one second when they say they have no idea where my mail is going. When I tell you this has been the biggest cluster f&?!, I'm not kidding! this has been a complete nightmare, and disappointing to know that nobody really cares at these post offices. Today was very depressed trying to get help. I am back home now staring at my mail that I had to physically pick up in person literally saying returned to sender and I went to try to fix this today. I made a change of address three months ago and initially I started getting one or two pieces of mail the first week and it stopped. I went online to check usps online and it still had my old address. I've been having problems with my credit card because they keep getting a return to sender notice on their mail. When went today the one who "tried" to help me placed the blame on me saying "oh you probably didn't get your ID scanned when you changed it the first time" I actually did my first address change IN PERSON and I kept telling her that. After having to tell her this the THIRD TIME that's only when she checked and yes she said my address change was effective since when I turned in my address change three months ago. She didn't believe me those three times. Now I can here because I tried to do a second address change and the nice lady from the Tenaya branch told me I had to come here. I made a second address change a couple of days ago to make sure showed my ID THE SECOND TIME and the teller told me that I need to fix the problem here in this post office. This is what I was explained to the lady helping me here in this store. She was confused and kept telling me "your mail shouldn't be returned because all my info looks good (me typing at home PHYSICALLY HOLDING THE RETURNED MAIL I HAD TO PICK UP IN PERSON) and she tried to blame me a second time saying I probably didn't use a direct address and I kept telling her that I'm using my address to my apartment. Like what other address should I even be using?! She then tried to put the blame on someone else again saying "oh your mail carrier probably doesn't know you're there" and I explained to her that I was LITERALLY FACE TO FACE WITH THE PERSON PLACING THE MAIL IN MY MAILBOX because I had a question about how to return mail that wasn't mine and explained to her that the mail carrier literally crossed out the old tenant's name and put mine so she definitely knows I'm there when I was getting mail in February. Her solution: She gave me a piece of paper to stick in my box saying my name and the word "ONLY!" and repeated my mail shouldn't be getting sent back, again I write this as I am holding mail that had been sent back. This whole time I was calm and collected and wasn't sounding persistent I'm not the type to get angry at workers but only sounded explanatory the way a waiter explains menu items. I didn't feel the frustration kick in till now after a whole day. I don't know maybe cause she thought I was a young kid who knew nothing of the world? Since people think I'm a kid usually but Im 40 years old. She talked to me like I was a child the whole time trying to gas light me repeating "your mail shouldn't be getting sent back" even after explaining to her my credit card have been REPEATEDLY declined because of problems with the post office sending my mail back. I've lived here for 4 years and mainly use this location. It's consistently very busy, especially during opening and closing. However, I have always received kind and professional service. Employees keep the area and shipping forms squared away. People need to keep in mind that this area is overcrowded and over populated. So lines take time and waiting is expected. Tried to get into contact and had no luck. The package should've been brought to my address. Received my package two days later than it was originally supposed to come. Twice in three weeks I have been by to pick up Christmas stamps printed on the self serve kiosk. Both times the machine said it had a problem and could only print the postage pictured below. Par for the course at this terrible USPS branch location. Examples: For weeks the trees in the landscaping were allowed to grow so low larger vehicles driving up to the letter drop got branches scraps. For weeks the the electric motion detecting front door wouldn't open or close properly. Phone calls to this branch ring and ring never are answered. The only way to get them to move on a problem is to call National USPS HQ. The hold mail option to deliver the pile on your first day back NEVER happens. I always have to go pick up the pile a few days after return. Which is fine but they offer the service and never follow through. Long lines at the counter all day year round cause no since of urgency, the staff looks like they are in slow motion. My Grandmother was the Post Master's secretary in a major metro area. She was so proud of the Postal Service, she would have been appalled at how shabbily this location is run. read more

All the drivers have been great but Recently got new driver in NW. Arrogant, unpleasant, condescending & disrespectful to say the least. He said his Supervisor is scared of him so reporting him would be of no value. I went into the post office the following day (Saturday) to speak to someone in charge & they refused to come out & discuss my concerns. The 'pick-up' mail clerk was dismissive & unconcerned. Just had a very good experience here at this post office. A lady name Wilbel was very helpful. Very good customer service. Very good attitude even though she was being rushed by management. Her focus on our passport was very well performed. We all face difficulties at with certain harassment on how fast you should get your job done but to keep your cool and still concentrate to do your best and not make any mistakes is absolutely incredible. I give Wilbel an A+. I give management there a D- for yelling across the room demanding them to hurry up with what they are struggling to do on a daily basis.
