This is probably the most crowded postal location I've been to in the valley. If you need to speak to a live employee, I would suggest coming right when they open in the morning... otherwise during the day the lines are all the way to the front door. There's an APC machine at the front but there's often a line for that too during the daytime. If you're shipping using the APC, just stop by when the post office is closed because this building is open 24/7. read more

Do not use this post office every time I go there they're rude but today I was checking on a certified letter that according to their tracking system never reached the party. they acknowledged it did say that but they believe that the client did get the letter and refused to sign for it and of my $9 I paid they wanted to give me $2.25 back. Also I paid for another certified letter today and they said it didn't go through their system but it was charged on my charge card I had to recharge it to my charge card and they told me I'll have to dispute it with my credit card company. read more

So, this I my first review. All I'm going to say is ship everywhere except for here. Recently, I sold an item on eBay, made a shipping label, and went to this location. Once I made it to the front desk, I asked the lady if this was were I dropped off packages, she said yes, and I hand here the box. She then looks at is for a few seconds and says "Sorry, we won't deliver this" and then hands it back without telling me what's wrong. I later realized I messed up on the packages weight (thanks for telling me), and by now it's been about 2 days since the buyer bought it and I still haven't shipped it yet. I make a new label, and dropped it off without talking to anyone, they were gonna deliver whether they like it or not. That was last Monday, the 18th, it's now a week later, the 25th, and I have my buyer asking me where the package is. I check online, and the people never scanned it (and possibly never shipped it). I paid for media mail which takes 2-9 days. Hopefully they secretly shipped it without telling me, or else I'm gonna have a claim filed against me. Never coming here again. read more

I am extremely frustrated with the USPS, but more specifically this location on Jones Boulevard. I ordered some clothes online to be delivered to my home. This post office sent my package back to sender so now I have to pay for shipping again to get my package shipped a second time! Here is the tracking history just so you can get an idea of what happened. 7/10/18 @ 1:24am- Package delivered to USPS on Jones Boulevard 7/10/18 @9:10am- Out for delivery 7/10/18 @11:09am- Marked as delivered 7/10/18 @11:10am- Marked as unable to deliver item, problem with address**** 7/10/18 @7:39pm- Forwarded 7/11/18 @12:02pm- Return to sender 7/13/18 @10:23am- Delivered to sender **** I want it to be known that the USPS delivers our mail daily and occasional packages to this so called "problematic address" I called this office for 2 consecutive days at various times of the day, and no one EVER answered the phone. Each time I called, the machine told me an representative will speak to me soon, and eventually the call would disconnect on its own because no one picked up my call. Then I would call back again. I even made a couple of calls to the USPS 1-800 number under the "Contact Us" on the USPS.com website. The 1-800 number's wait times were 30-50 minutes, and even after waiting over an hour both times, I never spoke to anyone. During all the waiting, I was able to complete all my work tasks and errands. That's how much time I spent on hold waiting for someone to answer my calls. Since I was not getting a response on the phone, I showed up the Jones location around 2-3pm. It was not busy, but apparently too busy to answer any phone calls... There were 5-6 workers right as you enter the office, and about 10 customers. I was directed to the "Pick Up Only" line where a lady looked up my tracking number to see what happened to my package. She stated that she doesn't know why it was marked as "unable to deliver" so she decided to get her manager to speak to me. The manager was a middle age woman (who wasn't wearing a name plate) who stated that Rick was the guy who usually delivers in our area. The manager stated that I would need to speak with Rick to find out why the package was deemed undeliverable to my address.** I offered to leave my phone number for Rick to call me or for a phone number for me to call Rick. The manager stated that she can't guarantee a call because papers get lost...I guess my phone number to Rick was also "undeliverable." The manager took down my number on a print out of the package tracking history that is intended for Rick to follow up. She stated that the best way to get a hold of Rick would be to catch him in person... The manager could not give me a time frame of when Rick delivers mail to our area... **I want it to be known that the address listed on the clothing site is in fact my address with no errors in spelling. As annoyed as I was of how NOT HELPFUL the manager was, I asked her "how can I prevent my packages from being sent back to the sender without my knowledge." The manager stated the USPS doesn't have the time to contact people before they send packages back to senders (which would be nice, but understandable considering the volume of mail/packages they must send back to senders). The manager gave me a piece of paper (the size of a business card) and told me to write my last name on it and tape it on my mailbox so Rick will know that the name of the package matches the mailbox. I told her my name was already in the mailbox so what else could I do to prevent my packages from being undeliverable. The manager stated "This is disheartening, but I don't know what else to tell you besides talk to Rick." So in case you are looking for me, I will be sitting by the mailbox waiting for Rick to show up. If you see Rick, let him know I am looking for him! Lol Things I will be asking Rick: 1.) Why was my package marked as delivered, then as undeliverable? 2.) Why is my address undeliverable, if USPS delivers the mail and other packages just fine? 3.) Instead of leaving my small 1lb bag of clothes in the mailbox, why couldn't you have just left it at my doorstep like Amazon does so I can retrieve in a timely manner after you leave my doorstep? The USPS at Jones could use some retraining on customer service and better execution of their duties so customers like myself would not have to pay for shipping cost a second time due to the mistakes of the workers at USPS. I wish I can give this place zero stars. While my regular post man is amazing, I have an issue with the substitute and have been trying to call this post office all day. They have no concept of customer service and they don't even pick up the phone. It rings and rings and then disconnects you. I don't have time to run over there, which they won't help anyway. I love how this office along with many other post offices can have the most horrible customer service yet still stay in business. My company would be bankrupt if I acted this way. read more

Then gentleman who works in the post office on Smoke Ranch and Jones is the best. I was sending out two Certified letters. Before completing the transaction, this wonderful man carefully checked both letters, front and back, and found a mistake that I had made with the zip codes. It did not get there on time and this ended up costing me a fortune. I go back to get my refund because they say they have a money back guarantee. Growing up with a mother as a carrier for the USPS then in my late teens, she was a postmaster I know that the Postal Service gets a lot of crap from angry customers, much of which being beyond the control of the office/employee getting the backlash of the angry customer. In fact I'm sure I've been one of them over the years a couple of times. However, today with this location I have nothing but good things to say. I put myself in a serious pickle and this office really went out of their way to save my butt. After the employee at the counter was unable to help me she was very apologetic and referred me to speak to her supervisor for possible additional help. I wasn't very hopeful and I realize that I put myself in this position but after explaining to Dean, the supervisor, my situation he said he could not make any promises but set off to try and help. A couple of minutes passed and he returned, to my surprised relief he was able to solve my huge problem. I know it's the holidays and there has to be thousands of packages back there and since it was 8:30 AM they were still in the process of being sorted-so I know assisting me could not have been an easy task to tackle, especially with the doors just having opened to top off all the other factors that were not in our favor. Dean really went out of his way to help me out with a problem that I was at fault for and was in no way the postal services fault. Thank you so much for all your help, Dean, I truly appreciate it and couldn't be more grateful! read more

FRAUD ACTIVITY- I paid for a certified/return receipt service and never got anything saying my package was delivered and the tracking information was not updated. I went into the Post Office and told them what happened, but I wasn't helped with my issue. I paid for the service again and ended up with the same results. Again, I went to 2 different Post Offices to figure out what was going on. I followed up multiple times and no one could tell me where my packages that I paid for are located. I called a number and made a fraud report. After an investigation was done, I received an email stating my packages were nowhere to be found. With that being said, I'm a busy person and I don't have time to keep going into the Post Office. I was able to make time today and was told they couldn't refund me MY money, because it's been over 60 days. USPS, you're company is a sham, you steal from customers and you steal from your employees too. MY mail is probably sitting in an CCA's closet. REFUND ME MY MONEY!!!! read more

This places is what imagine hades to be like. Since I moved to this neighborhood I have had nothing but problems with my mail. And forget getting any sort of help at this office. 8 times now, I have watched the mail man from the window upstairs stand in my driveway and actually throw my packages up my stairs to my door, and yes some of them labeled fragile. And when I come in they tell me it's not their problem and cannot resolve the issue. Other times I've seen the carrier not knock on my door but simply leave a delivery attempt note on the door so that I get the privilege of coming and dealing with horrible service in person to get my package. This last one is no exception. My box was crushed like the jumped on it, I went to to explain the issue and they told me they didn't see the problem, since it's not labeled fragile it's okay that the package is crush and the item is now unusable. I try so hard to get everything through UPS/FEdex because when USPS intercepts the package this is how it seems to end up every single time. They delivered the package, but where is it? NO CLUE. I had a text notification my item was delivered to "front door/porch." However, it's no where to be found on my property. I call and give them my tracking number and they go on to tell me that since I live in a gated neighborhood they cannot tell exactly where it was delivered...Interesting...I checked with all my neighbors and their porches and my package is MIA. I urge everyone out there who does business with this post office to be very cautious. In the past 4 months, this location has delivered my VINTAGE purchased items to other mailboxes!!!! Everyone knows, vintage items are approximately 60 plus years old, and are ONE OF A KIND. NOT REPLACEABLE! These "mistakes" as they call it, have happened 3 times in just 4 months, even with tracking. UNACCEPTABLE! I was fortunate to finally receive 2 of the 3 items, however, I should not have to sweat it out HOPING to receive my one of a kind items after purchase, including SHIPPING FEES! This is unprofessional and unacceptable. The ONLY security that may help may be adding signature confirmation. Beware to not send ANY greeting cards with gift cards in them without tracking and signature confirmation, as it is made easy for mailmen to steal your cards! The US Postal Service is a model of inefficient processes and lazy civil servants. I've never had a pleasant experience at the USPS but today took the grand prize. I went with my wife and daughters to turn in passport applications. This location opens at 8:30AM. We were there 10 minutes early to secure a place in line. Once inside, we were told that passport applications are handled by one employee, who happens to arrive for work at 9AM. It would be nice if the USPS could post a sign - somewhere, anywhere - to inform customers of that important fact. No apology for the lack of information, please sign in and wait. Keep in mind my kids are missing the first part of school and I'm late for work. At 9AM our mystery passport processing employee is still MIA. Around 9:15 she casually saunters to her station and begins the 10 minute process of warming up her computer, filing her nails, finding her zen, digesting her coffee. Whatever she was doing up there was agonizingly slow. Around 9:30AM she calls us up to go over the paperwork. Another 15 minutes of apathetic service and we are finally out the door. Here's the really sad thing: My review and all the others on Yelp might as well be written in invisible ink. No one at the USPS gives a crap and I doubt the Postmaster reads these reviews. There is a reason the USPS lost $5.5B in 2014. They are staffed by incompetent workers, hamstringed by senseless federal oversight and controlled by a union that makes profitable operations impossible. read more

Seriously the worst post office I've ever been to. The first time was when they failed to deliver a package and when I got there I had 2 people in front of me and it took over an hour to get to me. The lady helping me was rude and unfriendly. Today I go in to send a package. Waited in the Express Line about 10 minutes with 2 people in front of me again. When it's my turn I'm informed they cannot take debit or credit because their system is down. Luckily I had cash on me or I would have wasted my time. Would have been smart to put a sign up. When she rang me up it took 5 minutes just to process, so I could pay her. Yet again the people working looked absolutely miserable and were not pleasant at all. There was also a line of people waiting to pick up mail, but were informed there was nobody working in the back to locate the mail and they'd have to wait at least 30 minutes. read more

I'm appalled. This location is horrible! I don't like writing reviews, but you need to really consider some people's experience here with how you should expect your services done at this location. The black lady at the desk yelled at me because they cannot forward my brother's mails.. and even had the audacity to make me feel stupid by implying I wasn't doing it right and by saying, "Why are these in different addresses anyway?! Our location don't handle this mail.. but I'll take it from you if you really need it out." She is passive and lazy! Seriously, first of all, why wouldn't I need it out if I waited 40 minutes standing in line in the first place? Second, is it really her business that the addresses are all different? He's in the active duty military and does she really need to know a LONG story of why he has many address changes? Last but not least, I may not know how the USPS system works, so she could just simply explain it to me without raising her voice and giving me an attitude that I'm "doing it all wrong". This post office sucks so badly for so many reasons: if you want to pick up a package, you have to wait in line. If you would like to mail a package, you must wait in line. If you have a question to ask about why you're waiting in line, there is usually no staff in the lobby to ask.... It's like they're all hiding in the back, or on lunch, or on their phone, or getting Geico insurance, or eating a snickers bar, because they are NOT at work! I think this is a family owned post office, they seem to have their own rules and hire within their circle of family and friends. I will be writing and email to the postmaster about that as well. The line is now to the door and there are two employees working the counter at snail speed. Do yourself a favor: buy a food scale and weigh and print labels for your mail. Screw this post office. Go to UPS. Go to FED EX, hell, walk your package to its destination, you won't have to wait in this line. The only thing this line is missing is elevator music. Eff this awful post office. read more

This post office is a joke. Granted there are a "few" nice employees but most of them are rude and unhelpful. The line is often out the door with only one or two employees at the counter. Today, the mail was not picked up from our office by the mailman. Mail was left in the outside receptacle which is clearly marked. Please bring all mail to office. All the buildings in the complex are empty except for ours and he has to drive right by our office to get back to where the mail receptacle is. I had to lug 3 very heavy boxes to the post office myself. Each box weighed close to 100# in mail. Being a female, this was very difficult for me and then to have to carry it from the parking lot inside the post office was almost impossible. I assume this was a "fill-in" mail man as our usual one always comes into the office every day. Also, we had two packages that showed they were out for delivery for today, and yet we never received either one of them. I asked to speak to a supervisor so I could make a complaint about the mailman not picking up our mail. I was told "Ben" was the supervisor and would be up in a minute. Twenty minutes later I'm still standing there. I said "Is he going to just leave me standing here the rest of the day? One of the postal employees commented "They always drag their feet when they know their is a customer waiting on them". After a few minutes, another postal employee went back to get him again. They returned and said "he is refusing to come up here to talk to you. He said if you have a complaint you can write it down." I asked for the supervisors name and the employee refused to give it to me. I said "You already said his name is Ben, what is his last name." He said he couldn't tell me but that also the female supervisor had refused to come up front to talk to me. read more
