My wife and I recently visited this post office and had a wonderful experience. The young man helping customers was positive, professional, and very helpful. Even while the line was growing, he continued to acknowledge everyone waiting, letting us know he saw us and that we would be next. As we waited, other customers passing through the lobby greeted him warmly and said hello, which spoke volumes about the kind of person he is. People in the lobby were smiling and friendly as well. We couldn't believe how pleasant the atmosphere was, and we went home and told our daughter, who encouraged us to write this Yelp review. I'm especially glad we did because I noticed another review that appears to describe the same visit. Based on the timing, I believe the reviewer may have been in the lobby with us. From what we observed, the line was getting longer, and this young man was working hard to keep things moving. He repeatedly asked the customer at the counter to look at the screen and answer the required question about whether the package contained hazardous things or fragile chemicals. The customer in front of us and my wife both commented that it seemed inappropriate for someone to be looking at their phone while the lobby was full and one employee was working hard to help everyone. Regarding the review criticizing the clerk for commenting about phone use, I think there may be another side to that interaction. We weren't close enough to hear every word, but from where we stood, it appeared the employee was simply trying to complete the required questions and keep the line moving efficiently. In my opinion, customers should come to the counter ready to complete their transaction. If you need to search your phone for information after reaching the counter, it can slow down the line for everyone else. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but employees can be unfairly judged when only part of the story is shared. Based on what we witnessed, this employee remained courteous, hardworking, and professional throughout a very busy period, and I believe he deserves recognition rather than criticism. read more

Nothing but fun & efficient times here. I sell on eBay as a side hustle so I am constantly driving here in order to use the self ship/checkout machine. Seems like it's a requirement to be rude when you work at the post office. Hence why I always try and use the self service machine so I don't have to talk to anyone when I'm there. But it was down and the guy helping me made such a rude comment to me when I was using my phone to check something on my package and he made a comment saying to not be on my phone. Like really? So unnecessary. Wish the post office would just get rid of all the employees and replace them with machines given how rude their customer service is. read more

Parking: There's lots of parking in front and along the side of the post office. I've never seen it so busy you'd have to park at Home Depot but that's also a possibility. Service: Staff is efficient. The line moves quick. Staff from the back will come and help the front often to keep the lines short. There are 2 kiosks for self service. Ive used it once when I didn't print the mailing label. I used a QR code at the kiosk and it printed a self adhesive one. Super easy and free if you don't have a printer at home. Free boxes for priority mail but limited availability for sizes. If you visit the USPS website, you'll find free boxes with free shipping with more variety in sizes. read more

Wanted to ask an inqury regarding a name change for my passport. Two people working there were clueless and did not know how to do it. They should know there job already if they have been there awhile. Asian guy told me the renewal one, wasnt the name change form, but it says on the renewal form marriage document for name change. so I did use the right form. Asian guy then told me to go ask the other lady and when I went to her she told me to wait in line and the line was long and I had already been waiting for a long time in line. First time coming to this location. Was in the area and needed to mail off my passport to be renewed as well as take care of other packages. Donovan was the team member who carried out exceptional customer service with detailed mailing options and mail times. He knew I was very new to the mailing options so efficiently took care of my concerns. Donovan was thorough, friendly, had some jokes, and process the task smoothly. I usually like coming here to drop off parcels when I'm around the area, but I've noticed that they don't scan the parcels from the drop box! I've had several issues already where I'm waiting for an update and there's nothing until it reaches the next facility. Currently, one of my parcels haven't updated after 3 days (dropped off on Wednesday morning) and I've already filled out a form to investigate. I mean, whoever is behind there doesn't scan the packages! I also don't have time to wait in line as there's usually only 1 worker at the window and the line is long! This is absolutely ridiculous! Don't get a P.O. Box there unless you want your mail stolen especially your checks and financial statements all while paying $166.00 a year to have nothing delivered to you not even ads. When you do go talk to Post Master Robert about your lost mail he acts clueless to the theft going on . I know Postal employee think they will not be disciplined of fired and if they bother to show up to work its to steal checks from P.O. Boxes but have some integrity and soul in taking other peoples checks and private info which is why they pay for a P.O. Box in the first place. Sadly after 20 yrs I will be cancelling my P.O when it expires. I used to enjoy checking my mail now my box is always empty as I feel they are retaliating against me because I have complained I guess they just wanted me to keep paying to lose all my mail. I work long hours, 6:00 a.m. - midnight most days and some overnights, 7 days a week. I cannot get to the post office to pick up mailing supplies. I used to go this Reagan Street post office to get mailing envelopes and Priority mail envelopes. But now that the PO is closed earlier, thst's impossible. Why are so many post officess only open at tines when most working people are stuck at work snd can't ho to the PO? read more

This location is helpful, quick, neat, and friendly. I haven't had an issue with drop-offs, purchases, shipping, or anything. You buy what you need and are done. They also have drop off boxes outside of the location so if you want something delivered safer you drive by and it's perfect. Plan what time you go you since the location is smaller and you may have to wait in a line like anywhere else. read more

Everyone that works at this location is helpful and courteous. But oh my goodness they move as slow as a molasses. The line is always long and some of the clerks will engage in conversation and it just slows the line down even more. Prepare to wait a longggg time. read more

Updates7/15/2021 Even after Usps safety officer had assured us personally that our fence is NOT unsafe, this post office still not deliver our mail and packages today! So is it really about our fence ? Or something else? What is this postmaster Raquel Baez intention? Raquel Baez is unprofessional unethical and need to be investigated by higher management ASAP. --- Finally after tons of complaints and phone calls, there's a safety officer from Usps headquarter came to check out our fence, he assured me in person that he doesn't think our fence is unsafe. Justice maybe late but not absent!!!!!!! ----- In the picture, out temporary vinyl fence with no locks, easy to access, mailbox is two feet away from entrance. carrier refused to drop off our mails and packages, she told us that postmaster Raquel Baez won't let her give us our mails if our fence is closed. Raquel Baez insists our temporary vinyl fence is unsafe for her carrier to push through. What you think? read more

My husband is not getting his Wester Outdoor News. Supposed to be delivered every Thursday. Missed it twice last month an so far once in May. Western Outdoor News said it was sent out. I had an issue getting a delivery I had to sign for... They attempted to deliver it and I was home but I have a security gate on my front door and I'm assuming I didn't hear the knock due to that... I was notified via an app that the delivery was attempted but couldn't be completed since no one answered... So, I called their office and spoke with Keith and explained that I was home and what should I do now? I was placed on a brief hold and Keith came back to tell me that they were going to come back... Within 5 minutes the carrier had returned and brought me my package... Saved me a trip from having to go to the postal office... Both Keith and the carriers professionalism was on point... This is my postal office at work. Every time I go in, the lines are never long .. only on holidays and everybody knows every postal office is busy on holidays. But even if there is a line, it goes by relatively fast. The staff here are always friendly and willing to help you out if you're shipping something out. When I came to get something shipped to the bf, the box that they had there was a little too big and they didn't have any bubbles or foam wraps/stuffing to fill in the extra space. So the lady was kind of enough to help me crush envelopes into little balls to fill up the empty space so that my item wouldn't be rolling all over the place =) She was patient and willing to help me even though a line was starting to pile up and wasn't rushing me or anything. read more

Lines are rarely ever long here and, if they are, the service is fairly quick-- as quick as a post office can be. I always come here to drop pre-paid shipping packages off and love the convenience of being able to just stop my stuff in the little parcel dropper right when you walk in. This is the only usps we've ever been to with staff who actually do their job and help customers. Donovan has such a positive attitude and he is so helpful every time. Even when the line is long, they try to speed things up. And this is the only usps Ive ever been to that actually answer the phone in time and actually follows up with missing mail/delivery issues. Im surprised to see usps like this actually exist in southern CA that actually have staffs who actually do their job and help people and on top of that have positive staff like Donavan! Other USPS' and USPS workers should really learn from this location. I wanted to intercept a box I wanted not to be sent the same day the postman picked it up which was Monday January 11th, came to this place just after 4 pm, there were like 20 persons in front of me, and the line moved slowly. The clerk asked me for the address the box was picked up from, he promised the box would be intercepted and be sent back to my place the following day. To my surprise, nothing arrived, my wife called immediately and someone told her nobody actually did a thing for my box and it was sent to the delivery hub already, the clerk did not tell anyone about my request . Now I have lost valuable merchandise sent to some scammer out there, and the post office are lack of competent personnel to do their job. Worst place ever been to. read more

If you want a parcel with a pre-printed label to arrive on time, don't drop it off in the parcel drop inside the post office... Make sure to get it scanned in by a counter worker if you don't want it to gather moss for a couple of days before they find the time to get it on its way. I learned that the hard way. It's been 2 and a half days, and the postal service has no idea where my packages are. The workers here claim they have no control over packages you drop off inside the building -- I guess they want us to waste everyone's time at the counter. read more

They stepped up their game -and staff. Workers are friendly and prompt. The parking lot is bound for car accidents everyone is always backing up into each other. For some reason they are never open Saturdays and the drive thru mail boxes in the front are duct-taped off so we can't use them - minus one star. read more

Not enough employees. Line was 20 people long. Only 1 employee at the desk. This happens often. Yet, they take away our corner mail box.

Why do we have to give a star ?! This place is terrible :( My post office box had been broken into three times ! What is worse is that they return my mail back to sender . I have a business and used my po box as a secure mailing address - well that was a FAIL! These people need to retire and collect their pensions because they are ****ing shit up here ! What's worse is they are total jerks when you get there . They act as if they are doing You a favor by working there . Who ever said they go a good job ... you are all high ! ESL SUCKS . Yet another package labeled as delivered that wasn't. How exactly is a tower fan left in the mailbox?? There's always someone home when the mail comes, yet no packages when they've been marked as delivered and the mail immediately retrieved. Called many times to complain and follow up but am always told the Post Master is on a call, in a meeting, in the field, etc. Many cards with gift cards have been sliced open and the cards removed. I get other people's deliveries...but can't get mine??? The local neighborhood app backs this up with the same complaints from people all over the city! I had two packages on the same day delivered to the wrong house. Both had tracking, I was sent a text saying they were delivered and when I check the mailbox, which it says they were placed there, they weren't there. Then Rick from this post office called to ask if my packages arrived, I told him the problem, he said he'd get back to me that he would ask the mail carrier and I never heard from him again. One package I opened a claim for because it was a week late. So the next day I check status of my claim and the claim was closed. They think I received my packages. Where are they? Carriers should double check the address, get their eyes checked, etc. Don't trust USPS with packages or important mail. EVER! read more
