I was very happy with this post office on my initial visit to drop off a package. They were fast, efficient and nothing but smiles. Sure they're in the light industrial part of the city which isn't the best of locations but they got the job done for me. I'll be back if I have to! read more

On Tuesday, I had outgoing mail.I live on a corner and didnt have any incoming mail so he went directly to neighbor across the street and i saw him and grabbed my letter and met him in the street and asked him to take it.In his hand was weekly sales ads and coupons I didn't want to cause a problem but the lazy guy could a attitude that its Tuesday so he needs to go to everybodys box period read more

Absolutely atrocious customer service. Do not count on this office to do anything the right way. Their carriers/drivers continuously misplace and mis-deliver packages and the people in the office have no clue how to even search for anything. I've been told by an employee there that mail in the back that is being held is completely unorganized and in big giant miscellaneous piles. Ordered something I needed for work and did not receive it in time and all the supervisor was able to say was "sorry." Sorry isn't good enough. You are the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE. read more

Saying that this place moves at a glacial pace would be a compliment. I always cringe whenever I realize I need to pick something up here, most of the staff look bored or irritated. Their customer service is and always has been pretty crappy. Avoid this place if you can. read more

I put in for a package pick up for the next day(for Sat) and got a confirmation #. It was NOT picked up but I rec'd notification that it WAS successfully picked up. The next morning (Sunday) I took it to the post office and dropped it in the mail box out front. After many tries, they weren't answering the phone on Monday so I couldn't find out what happened about the faulty pick up notice. A few days later I found that the box in front of the post office was stolen so my package never went out. They still weren't answering the phone so I went to the post office to talk to the manager; I was told she wasn't there and there was nobody to stand in for her. They are not, repeat NOT, reliable. At all. Only the government would keep the doors open for such a business. I repeat: They do not answer the phone! read more

Of all of the post offices that I have visited in my lifetime, this one is the best. It can sometimes get busy but usually moves through pretty quickly. I have had a PO BOX at this location for over a dozen years now and have never had a problem with my mail. I have shipped 100's of packages through this location and never had a problem. The staff is very nice and helpful. At some other post offices I have been talked down to for asking basic questions. read more

The customer is of mixed reviews... When you go in.. It its fast and efficient... However when you try to call, NO ONE ever answers.. I had a slip in my box, telling me I have package in the parcel box... That box doesn't work!!!!! I wrote one the slip that I could not open the box... What did carrier do?.. Left me another package in the smaller box, and didn't do anything about the first delivery!! If you are unhappy get another job! read more

This is a solid USPS location. I come here often to ship packages for work. The clerks are friendly but most of all they have an APC (Automatic Postage Center) machine. The APC machine makes my life so simple and easy. As other people are waiting in line, I use the APC to print my postage and away I go. Parking can be a little nuts as are most Post Offices. If your lucky you'll catch the singing lady who stands outside the post office and sings old Motown classics you find on the late night infomercials. . She isn't looking for handouts and will always greet you with a smile. read more

The manager was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. I came in to ask a simple question and make sure I was correct about something and he responded loudly so everyone could hear how rude he was and re-asked my question to me to make me feel like I was asking a stupid question. read more

Our post office wasn't open when we left for a trip, so we decided to stop along the way. So glad we stopped here! The location was relatively easy to find from the highway, and although there were a lot of people inside during lunch hour, there was a worker at every single counter helping people (4 or 5, I think) so I was in there for no more than a couple of minutes! I'm very upset w/ this post office, they've lost my packages (and given me wrong packages) many times, always with the resident going out of their way to return a package...the post office should be sorting out their mistake not the residents! This last incident was the worst, my father and I both had packages marked as "delivered" June 19th but to the wrong address since we did not get them---he went down to the post office and the staff said it was probably delivered to this other address and that he could go over there (unbelievable) or they could get it from them...he opted for them to get it from them. 4 days later the son of the grandmother who had received our packages came by and returned them. USPS did NOTHING about it... Also, I've seen them kick packages off steps of their trucks. I think it's time to start using other carriers if you can avoid USPS! And they have the nerve to keep raising their prices for shittier service and shorter PO hours... read more

So i normally pick up any packages that i missed for delivery here with the pink slip and never have a problem something i noticed though is they never confirm anything like ID. name just nothing all they do is take the slip and get what i want and i dont pay no mind since its fast and whatever i never get asked so figured its how there procedure goes. One morning i wasn't feeling well and asked my husband to pick up the package for me and he asked if he needed anything and i told him no since every time i go i never get asked anything only give them the pink slip so i figured just as much. He goes and comes back home saying that they wouldnt give it to him and asked him for his ID.name adress and the adress on his id didnt match the adress on package(his ID is a bit older and weve only been living in modesto for a few months so yeah old adress) and refused to give him the package and he even explained that im his wife and he even had my id on him and they wouldnt give it to him. So now later on i decided to go pick up same day and what happens? Sweet and simple no questions asked NOTHING gave them the pink slip and recieved my package they didnt ask me nothing like name id adress. Like they did my husband My husband was so upset because he felt that he was being judged by his appearance and i am aswelld Why is it i have never been asked anything when recieveing my packages and all of a sudden they start questioning him? I dont know what the rules are on how you handle costumers who are only here to pick up items with a pink slip but obviously not everyones on the same page or is being unkind to others but non the less everyone should be treated equally read more

One star is liberal for this rating. I recently had an encounter with this post office, and I'm very dissatisfied. There was a package that was to be delivered on a Monday, but I never received it, despite what the tracking service said. I called consumer affairs, who also jerked me around, and they said the post office was hanging on to the package! I've also had problems with our mail carrier, who is too fat and lazy to deliver our packages to the door. There was one instance where she crammed a package in our box and ruined our mail because she didn't want to deliver it. read more

I dropped off a package on the 4th, a parcel return, and as of today, the 19th it still has not left the Kearny Post Office. I understand that mistakes happen but when I inquired as to the reason for this delay I encountered The. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. Clearly the USPS has a reputation for this so my expectations weren't too high to begin with. After a 30 minute hold I spoke to an actual human being for a brief moment who went to "check on something real quick" and I was put on a "brief hold" totaling 40 minutes before I finally gave up and went down there. I relayed my issue again to a puzzled clerk went to check with her supervisor about the dilemma and returned with the completely false excuse that they only pick up for that specific zip code every so often. Uhhh it's going to New Jersey & would be at least sent to ward the general direction of the east coast before being sorted out by specific zip code. Never again. read more

Only in Modesto do you have to purchase tape in order to seal your Priority Mail boxes! Was made to purchase a roll of $3.49 tape to seal my Priority Mail boxes that I needed to mail out before I fly out to my home state. In any other normal postal location, are you provided with Priority tape to seal up a package deemed Priority. If this location was really having issues keeping track of their tape then keep it behind the counter for those customers sending out that type of class of mail. From what my in laws tell me after I came back from this post office trip, that each post office in Modesto is starting to do little things like this because they are disgruntled about current changes in their pay, schedules, etc. read more

The site at 715 Kearney never answer their phone. Why do they list their phone # if they NEVER answer. I constantly have had my mail put into someone else's mail box I have had the same box for 10 years. whomever delivered the mail last Saturday January 16, 2016 put an extremely sensitive document into someone else's box. My name is all over inside the box so their is no excuse. I am sick and tired of the lack of professionalism in delivering mail to it's proper location. Since I've been in Modesto, this situation keeps coming up. I'm going file another formal complaint, not that I think it will do any good, because this keeps happening. read more
