We had to leave town unexpectedly due to the death of a family member and went online to change the delivery address to a neighbor who went above and beyond to stay at home due to the promised pending delivery. Day after day, the driver kept going to the original address at our home even after we called and spoke with customer service who reassured us that the address change was registered in the system. Many hours and several days invested on the phone to customer service based in other countries while grieving the loss of our family member and only false promises and misinformation. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with your customer service which has delayed, or possibly wrongly returned my package as undeliverable. I submitted a change of delivery instructions . Asking my package to be delivered to my neighbor's apartment. As I no longer reside at the delivery apartment address (A mistake by the sender.) Immediately, when I saw the tracking update that the UPS driver did Not honor my change of delivery instructions, I contacted your customer support, 4 times!!! All Four times, I was advised an escalated message was sent to the local facility. And the driver would re-deliver the package to my neighbor. Each time I was quoted an estimated time to expect the redelivery( "3pm, 9pm, Midnight, the next day"). None of it happened. I was also promised that the driver or local facility would call me. That did not happen either. On one of the calls, I was told the driver, facility were given an incorrect phone number. Why????? Bottom line ! I DO NOT HAVE MY PACKAGE!! After, My neighbor rescheduled her day, Friday from 10am- 3pm to receive the package. AndI 've spent hours calling, emailing your customer support. I have never, in all my life, had a better UPS driver. Jesse is the most conscientious hard working person. He goes above and beyond duty and the whole neighborhood loves him. I once had a package that required a signature and he saw me out walking my dog and went ahead and finished his rounds and then came back so I could get my package. this location is dishonest in regard to the application process. attempted to apply for a personal delivery vehicle position with a 21$/hr rate but after several days was called and told it was 16$/hr, even after I emailed the screenshot of the higher pay rate that i applied to on indeed.com. I have been in the courier business for 10 years and drive a large cargo vehicle (toyota land cruiser) so these rates are outrageous and not even feasible. I would have never guessed that UPS would engage in a bait and switch like this. i'm currently in contact with several labor complaint orgs in regard to my experience the last five days with the negotiation process here. I live an hour from this location and went to go pick up a package because it couldn't be delivered to my address as listed. When I got there the gate for the location was closed and locked even though it was during business hours. I tried calling the phone number listed but the location does not have a phone number, it's just the ups general customer support. I talked to them and they said that the location should be open and that they'd have someone from that location call me back. Nobody ever called me, I wasted over an hour of my time, and I got an email that my package was being returned because I never picked it up. read more

So shipped some pottery my Mom made all the way from Tennessee. She had shipped pottery for years using ups and never had anything break. I showed her the video I took when the packages arrived at my house. She had never seen anything like that happen to boxes. The boxes were so damaged it was like somebody was trying to destroy them. 6/8 boxes came with broken pottery in them. This was devastating g to us both. My mother had spent time and money purchasing a unified place setting from previous customers she had sold it to. Then sooo much of it got destroyed. If you gave me ten minutes to destroy what was in these boxes I don't think I could have done as good of a job. Ups workers must hate their jobs and take it out on their customers. I've learned a very valuable lesson to never use them. This is so sad :(. Also, it's IMPOSSIBLE to call ups and speak to any customer service representative. The manager Caroline was phenomenal. I was chasing my package for over two days. I was out of town and had it redirected to the WORST UPS store in town stay the F away from 1560 Newbury Rd Unit 1, Newbury Park, CA 91320. The owner is a complete moron and has a very argumentative demeanor. He refused to release my package to me bc he said my business lic, drivers lic, property taxes and utilities (which I provided as per UPS instructions) he said that they were all fraudulent L O L! After spending countless hours on the phone to get a UPS manager from Customer Service, I finally went down to this hub. I addressed my concerns to the manager Caroline. She went ahead and called this crazy man Azim, and she couldn't believe that he hung up on her as well, twice! He will be reported. She then took all my paperwork and approved it, she immediately sent one of her drivers to go get my package, and bring it directly to me at her hub. I would 100% recommend this hub. Prior to this incident I have been to this hub and I had some Amazon returns. They don't do Amazon returns here, but the UPS worker did make an exception for this one time. Paid for and was to receive a VERY critical piece of medical equipment to be delivered Friday between 12:30 and 4:30pm per UPS and I see in the track-a-map view that he keeps going past my street and nothing until a ridiculous update at 8:10 that says "delayed due to operating conditions". No one can explain what this means. I call UPS and they show it is in the delivery truck for delivery today but the tracking online says Monday between 11:15-3:15. What is up with the contradictory information? Then I get transferred to the Critical Delivery Dept to which the lady gets in the phone and asked " does your tracking begin with a 1Z" yes and then she transfers me back to the automated teller, WHAT-WHY? November 1, 2017 * Changed delivery date/time to Friday, November 3rd since nanny or I would be home to accept and sign the package. Received confirmation that it was successfully changed. November 3, 2017 * Came home around 3:30 p.m. after being gone for 10 minutes and saw UPS driver. Stopped him and asked him if he had my package. He stated that the facility had removed my package from his truck and he didn't know why. * Did not received the package between 11:30 and 3:30 p.m. Called the 800-742-5877 number at 3:52 p.m. requesting status. Male representative told me that it was going to be delivered between 5-7 p.m. * Called the 1-800 number at 7:13 p.m. because the wine still had not come (stayed home to accept package). The female representative told me that UPS had until the end of the business day to deliver. I asked what that meant because most of the time the packages are suppose to be delivered by 8 p.m. She stated that UPS had until midnight. This means I would have to wait until midnight to sign for my package. * Waited until 11:00 p.m. and no delivery was made. November 4, 2017 * Called and spoke to Joseph at 10:04 a.m. at the 800-742-5877 number about the package not being delivered on Friday. He stated he would send a "concern" statement to the facility. He also stated that the local facility was closed and I couldn't pick up the package. * Received call at 1:42 p.m. from local UPS regarding my "concern" statement. The female representative told me they were open from 10 to 1 p.m.! Informed her that the 800 number told me their facility was closed. The female representative stated that the 800 number was not helpful but said I needed to call that number if the package was not delivered again. The female said that she would put in a request to have the package delivered after 5 p.m. on Monday. She recommended that I issue an "intercept" so that it would force the facility to return my call within the hour. She also said I could change the delivery method to picking up at the facility. Female also stated that the drivers will delivery no later than 9 p.m. because they like to have their drivers back by 9:30 p.m. November 5, 2017 * Received an email stating that I would receive the delivery Monday between 11:30 and 3:30 p.m. This is different than what the representative told me on Saturday. November 6, 2017 * Called at 8:40, 8:41, 8:42 - local UPS facility (805-375-7168) no response, no message system. Rang so many times phone hung up. Wanted to confirm that the package was indeed coming today. * Called 800-742-5877 at 8:42 asked for status of the package. Repeated the issue. Asked to speak to a customer service representative. Rep asked what the issue was. Told him to read the notes. He read the notes and they were inaccurate. He stated that a delivery attempt to the business was made on Thursday (not true) and that the package would be delivered tomorrow. Rep apologized and said he would use all fo his resources to help me. I got very heated and demanded a supervisor. On hold for an extended time and then was hung up on. * Called 800-742-5877 at 9:03 a.m. and spoke to Bom. Again, repeated the issue because notes were inaccurate. When my deliveries come through Newbury Park via UPS, I feel like it would kill me if I held my breath when things aren't going right. I've had multiple lost and delayed items including shipments that UPS in Newbury Park claimed were lost overseas or delayed in my own metro area and got bounced back & forth and again & again around the world or our great country and finally back to this facility that claims ignorance and acts as if my " lost" shipment were uncontrollable and unexplainable. This time I paid for guaranteed delivery yesterday. Got a delay notice due to weather or natural disaster. I'm not sure where to begin. I had time sensitive documents that were sent to my home via UPS. I was tracking my delivery when I was at work, and once it was out for delivery, I called UPS to have the driver leave the envelope under my door mat. Furthermore, the documents would be useless to me the day after. The first person hung up on me because I was asking them to go against their company policy. The second person assured me that the message would be conveyed to the driver. It was not. An hour later I noticed that a deliver attempt was made, but the driver would make another attempt the following Monday. The third person I spoke to informed me that no instructions were forwarded to the driver. She placed specific instructions for the driver. I was assured that someone would contact me in an hours time. They did not. I called again a fourth time to help resolve the issue. I eventually saw on line after the call that the package was delivered. I was relieved, until I got home and found my package was not there. I called a fifth time to find out where my package was, and to ask if they truly want their customers to call them five or six times to resolve a delivery issue. I live in an apartment complex, and the driver decided to deliver my package to the apartment office. I still yet have not received a phone call from UPS regarding this, and the change they had made. I eventually got my package after much aggravation. 30 minutes after I got my package, that was not delivered to my address, I get a call from the local UPS manager. The first thing she said was that she did not know much of the situation. Great! I explained on how disappointed I was with their service, and it seemed they were more concerned on following policy, rather satisfy their customers needs. Eventually, the manager was unrepentant of the situation. To her credit, she did apologize for the hardship this caused me. Her apology was marred by her too bad attitude, and we are going to follow our policies stance. If possible, don't use UPS. We have had better results using one of their competitors. read more

UPS is the absolute worst shipping service you can employ. I have never had confidence or loyalty to the service they provide. Federal Express is #1 and the USPS is a distant #2. UPS is not on my radar. They let your packages sit for days before they are picked up/or put on their trucks for a delivery. I went in looking for a parcel that was lost at one point and was eventually was found by a UPS driver. The package was in limbo after it was found and after going back and forth with the customer service phone number, i was told it was ready for pick up. I went in and at first once again the package was missing and not in their system. A worker named Matt was very helpful and showed great customer service. He saw how back and forth the tracking had been updating for about two weeks, he went out of his way to go into the warehouse and after 20 minutes of waiting he came back with my parcel ! i appreciate customer service like the one I received from Matt. I'm don't like to bash businesses because of 1 bad employee but I feel I need to bring this to their attention. I also called their corporate number to report the issue. On 5/7/20 at around 6:30 pm the UPS delivery driver was delivering a package to my home, I have very visible cameras and a doorbell camera. He then proceeds to THROW my package towards my door from about 10 feet away it hits my door so hard and bounced back he notices and decides to go back and kick my package closer to my door. The item in the package had a mirror portion and easily could've broke. My issue is that this gentleman had no regard for this package or my family. It could've been something very important. This man has a job during this quarantine and should appreciate that, I also have to work through this quarantine and being a nurse I would never treat my patients like this! I understand these are scary frustrating times but we should all be kind to one another! Don't add to the frustration! I hope this person is at least reprimanded and educated for his behavior and customer service. These days everyone has cameras you know people are watching so why behave this way!? The UPS driver couldn't deliver a package to our business address here... Meanwhile FedEx delivers flawlessly every time. After the first failed delivery, I called UPS, and spent an hour and a half getting a supervisor and re-verified the address, explained how to find our suite at our business location (big business offices). The next day, it wasn't delivered again. I spent another hour and a half on the phone with UPS trying to get this sorted. They promised it would be delivered by the end of the day, and that I'd get a call from the center. No one from Newberry Park called, and the package wasn't delivered. The next day I called AGAIN and after several "let me speak with a manager" conversations, found out it had been returned to the sender. Our address had been re-verified three times, and the driver couldn't deliver a simple package. The person I spoke with said they could put in an intercept and have it sent to our home address, but that it would cost an additional $18 per package... even though the fault was theirs for putting the Return To Sender on by accident, because "that's how the system works, there's no way around it." Two more calls, two supervisors, and 3 hours later, and I found a supervisor who agreed that we shouldn't pay an intercept fee for their mistake and put it in to be sent to our home address. The next day, nothing came and I called and was informed that it would take them a week to deliver the package from Sylmar (14 miles from our home) because they had to sort it out. I asked them to hold it at the Sylmar location for me to pick up... Two calls later, and the Sylmar manager said it'd be ready later that night and they would call me when it was ready to be picked up. They never called. Another hour long call to get a supervisor, and I find out that "the person I spoke to was wrong" and even though it was their mistake to mark it return to sender (after one delivery attempt, no less), once ANYTHING is marked as return to sender (even by UPS, by mistake) there is no way to intercept or stop that process... it WILL be returned to sender. In other words, UPS has no way to fix their own mistakes. So, sure enough, the package was was returned to the sender. Unreal. I contacted the shipper, explained the problem, and they shipped another unit, this time we 100% verified all address information in advance... And here I am, AGAIN, dealing with the same inability of the UPS driver to deliver a simple package to a business location that has been there for 20 years. Meanwhile, this morning FedEx delivered just fine. I now find out, two weeks later, that our company's corporate offices requested packages be delivered to a different (local) address at some point in the past, and instead of anyone at UPS telling me that THIS is the reason it has not been delivered for half a month, I get to speak with (literally) 9 different people, and waste over 7 hours of my time on the phone. UPS can not give you a phone number to speak to anyone at their distribution centers. They can't radio their drivers. Their communication structure is akin to a bunch of kids with tin cans connected by string. UPS takes no responsibility for anything... late deliveries, returned packages, driver errors... it's all "Ooops!" which is apparently what UPS really stands for... UPS! We messed up again. Oh well. Do they care? Doesn't appear so, because every time there's a problem, the solution is "too bad, guess you'll have to wait, or have it re-shipped." A model of poor customer service. You have ONE JOB, deliver the damn packages. If you can't do that, then go make burgers or something. read more

Try to contact them for a destroyed, damaged or non delivered package. I ordered a food delivery from Hellofresh food service twice, and each time it was spoiled because of DELAYED delivery and had to be destroyed due to spoilage. It sat in a UPS delivery vehicle for 5 days over a weekend in a hot truck. Tracking kept telling me it would be delivered by 4:pm that day. Then they told me by 9:00 p.m. It NEVER arrived. I ordered from Hellofresh again and guess what. Same crap! I suggested to the Hellofresh company that they use Federal Express who is always on time. They are looking into it. By the way, both packages were sent "next day air delivery guaranteed by UPS. I hope Hellofresh gets a refund from UPS, but I doubt it. Laughably, infuriatingly, mind-bogglingly horrible. Overnight packages are routinely delivered on the 2nd day because of "operating issues" - even though the package is already at the depot. They make absolutely no effort to go even a millimeter above and beyond to meet commitments. 99% of the time no one answers the phone, and when they do, they're rude and completely unwilling to help. Most drivers are OK, nothing special, but the one named Wade is the worst driver of every carrier we get packages from. He's rude, throws packages at the door, doesn't knock to tell us they're there, and he can't seem to make it here until after 8PM, even though every other UPS driver who gets our route makes it by 3PM. read more

Horrible service. An urgent package was shipped to us UPS overnight delivery from Florida to Thousand Oaks California on 12/20....it arrived at the Newbury Park distribution center 11:45 am on 12/21. Here it is 12/24 and we still do not have the package....and mind you the facility is only 10 miles from our house.
