All good. Friendly Quick Lots of parking The maps don't place it right for some reason. Right next to a closed market :0/

The service is so bad they are rude , they make customers wait for long time and they are laughing and making jokes between them and forgotten about the people who are waiting.

They could answer their phone during posted business hours, not lose the mail, replace the stolen mailbox.

The employees working at the desk were very disrespectful. Poor customer service made a trip to the post office a bad experience.

Yes! A Post Office @ The State Fair!…read more SITREP Very cool postal annex here at the State Fair (it's mother-hub is the Royal Oaks Post Office). The first thing you notice by the front door is the AMAZEBALLZ R2D2 Mail box. How dam cool is this? https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/u-s-post-office-california-state-fair-sacramento-4?select=8p1aJumudSsnHS0prERwhA&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE SETUP For being small, the variety of stuff is amazing: LOTS of great postage paraphernalia here, from actual stamps of Batman and Jimi Kendrix, and the usual postal services you would expect of an actual P.O., to the great souvenirs. I actually scored a great Batman Stamp shirt that was on special for the Opening Day of the Fair - $15 - AND it was ALL IN BLACK (which is apropos for the "Dark Knight"! (Duh!) ;) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/u-s-post-office-california-state-fair-sacramento-4?select=yLHg_7ou2Ggh6o3ei8jgtQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w The peeps here were very friendly and shared lots of good info about this building's activities, such as the schedule of cooking demonstrations, which is what I was really blitzing through this building for. THE LOWDOWN Great post office souvenir stop to mail post cards, and get collectibles!

But who's counting! The gentleman who answered was very helpful & very precise in taking all of my information. He assured me that they would most likely find my package, they usually did. He told me to give them a couple of days to locate it & they would email me, & if I didn't hear from them in a couple of days, to call back. He really sounded confident that they would locate the package so I hope I don't have to call back.

I visited the other day and a customer began to be nasty towards the employee at the desk; so much so I was going to need to walk out or intervene. The employee kept her cool, the customer realized her error in what she was asking for and apologized to taking the paperwork back from the employee (but no apology for her nasty, curt tone). I was the next customer and the employee perked right up like nothing happened. Shout out to our service based heroes who endure what they shouldn't have to.

I typically stop in when I need to buy stamps or send something that requires a little extra attention or tracking. On my latest visited there was a small line of people and the person up front was friendly and helping everyone efficiently. I ended up buying a few different packs of stamps, including some very cute year of the snake stamps. I always opt for forever stamps and after making my purchase I was able to add postage to a couple of letters I had going out, put them in the box and I was on my way. The Post Office isn't always the most fun or glamourous errand, but I've had good experiences with the staff here so far and have been able to get the job done.

Our regular male carrier is wonderful. She is so careful with the mail and checks and make sure we don't have any outgoing. She is great. But every single time she leaves to go on vacation or takes a day off whoever substitutes for her is the worst. Yesterday, the mail carrier hands me the mail in my hand because we were sitting outside. I am sitting with my friend who lives two houses down and I have her mail in my hand. So I give her her mail and I tried to catch up with the male carrier who is already a few houses down, but he can't hear me because he has earphones on. When I finally catch up to him to let him know that he gave me the wrong mail, and where is my mail, he just looks at me" oh yeah, one house didn't have mail today so I just got turned around." that's his response. Not oh sorry let me go check on that or anything else. No he turns around and keeps delivering the mail so I'm not sure if anybody got their mail yesterday or if we all have someone else's mail because he got turned around because one house didn't have the mail? He absolutely did not care, and did not make any initiative to fix this. So I'm not sure if somebody else got my mail yesterday I didn't. So then I tried to call the Arden post office today to talk to the manager and let him know this is going on. No luck you can call there 20 times nobody will answer the phone. I will probably have to make my way over there in person, but honestly, I don't think it will help. The postal people have one job to do, and in the case of the mail carrier. It's to make sure they're giving you the right mail. It's not OK that the day your regular carrier goes on vacation everyone's mail gets delivered wrong. It is tax season, I also run a business and I don't need to have my mail all over the neighborhood . I'm sure other people don't either.

Compared to the other post office, they close automatically at 4:45pm (despite being open til 5pm) and are very rude to customers. They also tend to argue with each other as well . Luckily, I only went to do self service, but the line in Fair oaks was NOT moving even after 3 minutes. By then, I had already put the package in the conveyer. But in the watt ave location, despite the area being a bit more ghetto (litter, loiters, weirdos causing issues), the staff are amazingly kind and welcoming lol. This location, watt ave, scan the items as fast as they can, answer to the best of their abilities, put up with ppl's sh*t and still is assertive while being respectful. That takes a lot of willpower. Everybody seems to get along well, they also close at 5pm but if you happen to still be in the post office b4 5pm, they will kindly help you. I JUST LOVE THE GOOD VIBES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! You can really tell they all work super hard and have good morale. Please give them a raise!!

I went here to mail a gift for my Aunt's Birthday in December on the East Coast. I had it packaged up in an old Amazon mailer all taped up and they accepted it as proper mailing packaging. I asked for the cheapest method of mailing (Ground Advantage and it comes insured and with tracking) and it would get there in 5-7 days, which was perfect. She doesn't need it till the 2nd week of December. With the holiday rush starting in November I thought I would get it out early. The holiday rush won't guarantee anything on time. Parking is pretty good. They have a small lot to the right of the post office. It used to be to the left, but they made some changes. I've been lucky by going off peak hours and have always gotten a spot. If it's packed you can always park in the Raley's Parking lot and walk across the cross walk right in front of the Post Office. If you are just dropping off a letter there is a blue mailbox out front. If you need to rent a mailbox they have them available here. People need to realize that this is not your traditional post office and treat it as such. It is tucked away in the corner of an older shopping center where Arteaga Market is. They use this location mostly for other postal processes that are not done at the main hub on Industrial, hence having to sometimes ring a bell for service. They just open the doors out of convenience figuring hell we can give services to the public while occupying the building. Otherwise a full staff here would not be cost effective. It still has active PO boxes inside. The one person Sherry who is here is very knowledgeable and knows postage. We have used her for larger scale business problems or if I have a real question the 1-800 number cannot answer, she usually can. No she is not warm and fuzzy but she is friendly enough meaning being a staff of one, there is no time for dilly-dallying or idle chit chat or dealing with clueless people and I can appreciate that. So if you are in a hurry or have a zillion questions, this is not the location for you! Don't come right before 5 or around lunch time. You come here for a simple "I need to buy postage" or drop off a package.
