Self serve closes early. Maybe they think it's a ghetto location. Go down the freeway a bit to Folsom it's opened 4 hours later.

Slow service... Walked in around 1:30pm to a line of 10+ people in front of me, and they only had one person at the counter to help those in line. Gave myself 20 minutes before an appointment to send an international letter, but had to leave because they only took care of one customer in the 5 minutes I was there. read more

Love this post office. The two guys up at the front are efficient and very helpful. Just a helpful note, they are SERIOUS about closing on time. At exactly 430, they will close those plastic double doors and are unapologetic, so get in on time! I've seen them wave off several people without a second thought. However, I can understand. Always a LONG line! The staff is not very friendly! It is a shame because it is in a great location but I really try to avoid going there.

Nice staff. Convenient for quick drop offs and reasonable waits. Better than going to Royal Oaks.

Went to this location to mail 4 packages today, clerk Dan was a rude #%^**%#*, he gave a frustrated look when he saw me put 4 packages on the counter, and wasn't even busy. This review is for the Granite Bay branch and USPS as a whole. I am a Power Seller on e-Bay. I ship ALOT and use USPS for everything. They have made two mistakes in the last month. This effects my e-Bay business. I then receive negative feedback which cost me money. I recently mailed something that weighted 10 ounces on my home scale. The packaged was mailed to NY. It made it all the way there. Then some clown in NY decides it weights 10.5 ounces therefor its 11 ounces. They mail it back all the way to California for less then 10 pennies. WHAT A JOKE! This is why our system is broke. A bunch of idiots. Makes me think twice about mailing anything every again through USPS. Plus the women who has worked in the GB bronch for 20 years is a nightmare. I have disliked her forever. She is rude and is a GRUMP!!! read more

Giving this a high rating so the light shines on Mona, who was managing a long Christmas line full of disgruntled people and who maintained her cool when an angry loudmouth in a wheelchair felt it was his right to cut the line. She remained professional, and as a result, got him out of there sooner and kept everyone else calm. With all this going on, she patiently helped me mail two packages overseas, even though i had a number of questions and wasnt quite sure what to do. Thank you, Mona! I do wish there had been someone available to help her during the lunchtime rush. Not sure if this is a funding issue, but during the holiday crunch, especially, there should be more manpower. I have been to this post office twice and both times I have been helped by the same older man( mid 40-50 African American ) I'm sorry but he is very rude, not helpful at all. I feel like why is he even working there. I got so frustrated, and ended up walking away. I really needed to get something ship right away. So I came back and i went straight to the mexican guy, he said sorry for your troubled, he saw I was upset .He was so helpful and kind. I know this office is more convenient and alot closer but I would rather drive the distance for better service. read more

This place opens up at 9am but I really wish they opened at 8am so that I could get all of my errands out of the way. After killing some time somewhere else, my 2 year old companion and I came here to mail out his birthday invitations. Since I don't have a scale at home, I couldn't weigh the envelopes to determine the cost of each stamp. I had 86 envelopes. I was third in line. The lady at the register was helpful and friendly. She weighed the envelope for me, told me how much my stamp would cost and gave me the stamps to affix to the envelopes. Once I was don't affixing the stamps, I simply gave the invitations back to her with the postage and we were on our way. She made the process so simple. She helped about 10 people in a matter of 10 minutes. Some people had to come back a second time but she totally managed to multitask. It was amazing. Some people took longer than others. She even had to explain the process to some people but even with those little hiccups, she was still efficient. There's usually a line here but the cashiers/clerks, whatever they are called, are pretty quick and can help multiple people at one time. I appreciate the workers here. They work hard and get things done. read more

Not bad post office. There are only 2 registers and they are fast in a way to get everyone. but I give it a 4 star due to minimal staff. Dan is awesome as well as the other guy. Be nice to them and they will be nice to you. read more

I am updating my review. First of all, I dropped one package here before without getting it scanned. It ended up never getting scanned. It became lost, in my opinion stolen. The darker heavier set man who works here who is supposed to be the supervisor of this branch is definitely a joke. I don't believe he appreciates his GOV JOB. I don't believe he likes humans at all, in fact. LoL every time I go here he has a problem with me scanning all my paid packages through, because of my experience before of getting a package lost I was advised By the postal inspectors themselves to scan all packages through. However , this guy who works here has an issue with that , even if there's one person in line. He told me usually they don't scan packages through especially if it's busy. I looked behind me and oh my golly sure enough !!...there was one person in line. Are you kidding me. I hate to take my packages here, this branch is a bunch of bs. I would expect ANY USPS Store to be absolutely professional 100%. That is my expectation as a customer at any government office period. Or am I wrong ? read more

So I go in and I'm the only one there. Awesome! That's rare. Had to ship back a return in a flat rate box and I brought my own tape since I know they don't provide. As I'm packaging up my return (my tape is still in my bag) another customer comes up next to me and starts packaging his stuff. The USPS lady is watching and asks if his stuff will fit in the box. He says that is what he's checking. There is a roll of tape sitting on the counter by me and he asks me nicely to hand it to him so I do thinking a previous customer left it there so anyone can use it. Since he's using that tape I bring out my own tape and tape mine up and go to the register. The lady says what about the tape? And I look confused. She says "you used the tape that was on the counter and now you have to pay for the whole roll." And I said no I didn't I used my tape and I show her my tape and scissors I brought. She says well who is going to pay for the tape and I turn around say sorry I didn't know I'll split it with you. She says "well actually you handed him the tape so you are responsible." Seriously?! Not a very good way to handle the situation. The other customer says no I'll pay for it but it's very misleading to have the tape sitting there and you didn't say anything to us about it. I say I agree, pay and leave. Terrible customer service. I'll use UPS from now on. read more

I get that the post office can get busy but some people don't understand that the clerk is just doing their job. I can't speak for the other workers, but Bob was very accommodating. People get so worked up over a line and make it obvious that they're bothered by the wait. If the clerk has the power to speed up the line don't you think he'd do so?? Anyways, I find that some, not all, of the people who go here think they're far more superior than others and clearly don't know how a line works. Huffing and puffing while waiting in line isn't going to make it faster. You're just making the people around you uncomfortable, so please relax. We all have places we much rather be, but that's just how it is! A line is a line, you have to wait just like the rest of us. read more

Just wanted to post that although this is a small post office they do have a selection of boxes and packing supplies. Line of about 10 went fast with 2 employees on a Monday afternoon. Employees were nice enough and got things done quickly. read more

Kyle was great today. I had two little boxes to send and very little time on my lunch break. He zipped right through and had me in and out with three other customers in just a few minutes. That's what makes this branch so good. Kyle knows what customer service is and he knows we don't want to wait around. He does the job and with a smile. Too bad the other post offices don't hire employees like Kyle. read more
