Just stop by so my husband can pick up his mail. Some how its gotten lost when we moved. How does that happen? At any rate, not really the first time at this post office, but one thing is for sure. The employees are Truly The Worst I have ever come across. I think I mean that in a good way. I really do! It's something you have to see for yourself. Let me see if I can paint a picture for anyone who hasn't been here before.. And this is only my take of this post office; 1)The staff don't speak to you. 2)They don't smile. 3)Not at all in the lease bit kind/friendly. 4)Rude attitudes. 5)Don't value your time. 6)Slow as HELL 7)Don't know the word Thank you. Did I forget something? I'm not sure, but maybe they need to do a complete make over at this branch and it may make the employees feel better about coming to work/or working faster. Ijs Sometimes business's have to invest in their companies and their employees to make it work. The lobby as well as the front desk looks very plain. Its an average size space, but more than enough to make it shine. Its clean with an indescribable not so good feeling upon entering. Some of the staff are obvious with the (not so liking us attitude). But its all good, because that's more of a personal thang...If you know what I mean. They are extremely slow! They never seem to ever have more than two employees working at one time. We come in with just one person ahead of us and it has literally taken 25 minutes to get out of here. Most people always seem to be complaining of lost mail/or packages. And it's always that way, sad to say! The funny thing about coming here is that, there is never a line, but some how always a long wait. Go figure... We had our passports done here. It will be 10 years next year. Not so bad as post offices go... It's an old dated building and there are lines during peak periods like most other braches. The service is better than many other locations I've used. I've been going to this post office for awhile. It's the closest to my house, and it's relatively convenient. Sometimes it can get super busy especially on Saturdays. I came here today (Monday) around 1:30pm, and I was surprised there was no line! They are very efficient here. They keep the line moving as best as possible. Sometimes, there's nothing the employees can do if the customer has lots of issues and takes up their time. This place gets the job done. If you're planning to come during your lunch hours, after work or during Saturdays, be prepared to wait for awhile. Do yourself a favor, plan ahead. read more

Our online selling business regularly uses 5 local post offices and Land Park is the closest - but unfortunately the worst. Twice in the last couple years they have mistakenly scanned packages we dropped off as "already delivered", creating lots of angry and confused customers. A manager told me it was a "training issue". They regularly DON'T scan in items that are dropped off, so our customers think we haven't mailed the items. They say they'll get scanned at West Sac distribution center, anyway, but sometimes THAT doesn't happen either. In addition, while the Colonial PO, Broadway, Brookfield, and Arden locations all have dedicated package drop-off areas, they have placed theirs behind a shielded teller window! Management must be incompetent or completely hamstrung. Employees are nice, though. read more

Like most post offices, if you go during certain times like close to 5pm.. there's sure to be a line. I like that this location has an APC machine so that I can bypass that line and send my packages using my ATM or credit card. They have another machine for just stamps but that seems to be out all the time now. Possibly because stamps are available on the APC machine. The workers at the counter are nice. I haven't come into contact with an irate or rude one there yet. However! I've been able to send the same data material First Class with the APC machine but when I've taken it to the counter, the guy read my options but didn't mention First Class. I ask for First Class anyway and he said First Class isn't an option. Why not? It's too heavy he said. (it's a disc.) The free USPS products aren't always available but i'm sure you can ask at the counter they'll be able to furnish it. They also carry products you can buy and there's always some displayed. In front of this post office, there are mailboxes so that you can drive thru and drop-off. This is an older community though and I often see seniors that shouldn't be driving in this lot.. Bad parking is also painfully obvious. It's whatever is convenient for themselves and not others. I've seen on many occasions people drop off and wait in the red zone but half their car is over the red curb. And they just sit there like it's okay. If the side of a bench is in front of you, it's not okay. People also park in spaces that aren't even parking spaces as well as ignore the direction of traffic. You might hate the post office but the parking lot here is worse. read more

I prefer to give 0 star at all but unfortunately that is not an option. They say they close at 5pm. Yet the door was already closed at 455pm. I was turned away to pick up my mail by the black guy at the counter. The worst customer experience I've had with USPS. I watched the postman gallantly swinging his arms as he strode to my doorstep with the tiny "LIVE ANIMAL", " HANDLE with CARE" clearly printed on the box. This post office is like way out of the way from where I live. It seems to be in a pretty strange location. Well at least for me that is. This is tho consider to be the post office for greenhaven. I think its rather far. It is clean and the few times I've been here its never been too busy and if for any reason it did start to get busy. Someone else would come from the back and open up another register. They have great customer service! It is in a very secluded area. The staff here are helpful and you can tell by their attitudes that most of them have worked here for a while. They are pleasant. We came here to get our passports and a few times to pick up a package. I believe this one is closer to where I live even tho it doesn't seem like it. So I usually go to the one over on Brucefeild. INCOMPETENT waited 30 minutes for a supervisor to track a return I sent out in this location 3 and a half weeks ago. I saw him chatting with several staff members in the back room and asked the service desk if I could make an appointment with the supervisor for a later time. After waiting an additional 10 minutes the service desk took my number to have the supervisor call me back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND any other post office but this one. i don't like coming to this post office because it is old facility and the vibe here isn't just where i want to be at. Every time i come here there is a lot of people so there is always long waiting time here. I wish i can just drop off my mail and leave but i need my mail weighed so i have to get in the long line, the wait is usually about 10 mins so i don't get out of the place fastest 15 mins. the workers here are pretty slow but they are friendly. i only come here because it is close my home but other than that i will try to avoid this spot. read more

I come here simply because it's my neighborhood post office and the second nearest location is on Broadway...so there goes that. Always avoid on Mondays. I truly believe that is the day where everyone just decides hey lets me up at the post office and be angry and get frustrated because everyone is here. Luckily if you have priority boxes or need just a stamp and have a credit card, you can use the kiosk located right when you walk in. This is my local US Post Office location, minutes from my house, but I have to say the wait times for the line tend to be longer than I think they should be. Many times when I have gone in the past, there has been a line of at least 5 or more people. There are only ever two employees staffing the "windows", with a third employee dedicated to assisting customers with vacation holds or PO Box pick ups only. I consider myself a patient person, but when there's a long arse line and they can't seem to make another employee available to help make things go more quickly, it's a little annoying. As was my norm when going there, there were 5 people in line (I was the 5th -- and two people were being helped at the "windows". However, this time there was an employee doing some prep work for the customers in line. He had a notepad and asked each customer what type of help they needed (mailing a package, envelope, need insurance/tracking/delivery receipt, etc). It made me feel a little better, hoping that these little steps would help make the line go faster. I didn't keep a close eye on my watch, but I'd say I was probably there no more than 10 minutes, so I guess I can't complain. Perhaps they'll make this a habit when the line gets long. read more

Too bad a person can't give negative stars, I think that is what would be deserved. Unless it's been replaced, there is no longer a drive-up drop-off box outside the S. Land Park Station for mail. That's inconvenient; but the reason I am complaining now is that there has been a delivery problem and I have spoken with the postal manager previously, yet it has not been resolved. This morning I call the post office to try once again to address this issue. I get a message saying I will be transferred to the operator, and am left listening to a ring for 3.5 minutes till cut off. I repeated this process from 9am to 9:29am until I give up in frustration. Enough time wasted already. Why bother to have a phone number and stated business hours that are supposed to start at 9am if it is impossible to get any response to a call? This is not my idea of how any business should be run, and I have worked since I was 14 and have managed businesses, run businesses, worked in customer service ... they get an F. read more

Going to the Post Office sucks. That is an indisputable fact. This one doesn't not suck quite as much as most others, and therefore has earned a 4-star rating. Here's why... The staff here is friendly. They're overworked. The lines are always ridiculously long. There aren't enough people here. It takes forever to get to them. But when you make it, they smile, they do their jobs well, and you leave the place not totally annoyed and enraged. 3 stars just for being better than average. The location is old, but well equipped and roomy so that most of the basic services you need are available and easy to find. Most importantly (for me) is the fact that this is my neighborhood post office and they always deliver to my house by noon everyday. As someone who works from home, I like this a lot. Carolyn was awesome this morning! I had to send a box to Canada and she made the whole process a breeze. She was very friendly and quick to apologize when she made a small mistake. She also tried to help me get a cheaper rate internationally by suggesting a box that wasn't a priority mail flat rate. Thanks for your dedication to great service. On another note: in defense of the people working here: There might be a bit of a wait but come on, people! It's a post office! Everyone's there for a variety of reasons that may take more than five minutes and they serve a huge area. Not just you. You arrived later than everyone else so learn some patience and realize that you aren't more important than anyone who had the gusto to get up early and get there before you. Lived in my area for 21+ years and have never had a problem. This year has been the worst. I've gotten more wrong mail sent to my address this year than I've had in all the years I've lived here. Went today to mail an Apple Pencil and as soon as I got there the line was out the door. Once I got to the desk I was told I had the wrong box, proceeded to ask what kind of box I should use and the worker was no help. Told me the identifications of priority shipping and first class but told me nothing about what the box that I needed. (Mind you the box I needed was on sale two steps behind me). Then he proceeded to tell me to "go home and find one". Came back 15 minutes later and asked if the simple, brown box I had was correct and he shouted out "yes but you're still going to tape it yourself", knowing I was the girl he told to just go home. Sir if I knew the box was correct I would have taped it but I didn't know so that why I wouldn't have taped it shut. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the people who deal with the customers are awesome and fun to talk to! Except the middle eastern man, he's by far the rudest person I've ever talked to. They are great, really, until they lose a package. I had a mail man, scan my item "by accident" one day, and then allegedly deliver it two days later at 6pm after the mail had already been there at 12pm. He obviously stole it or misplaced it, but they made it out to seem like it was my fault and I was inconviencing them. I got ZERO calls back and once I spoke to someone (the middle eastern employee) on the phone and told them I had been getting no calls he told me "Well you call so often." Unbelievable! I've NEVER in my life dealt with people so incompetent and rude! I'm happy to say my address has changed and I will never have to deal with these idiots again! read more

Poor P.O. Box service at S. Land Park Station. Have box for over 10 years. Constantly receive mail from previous(?) people who had same box(?). Renewal every six months and attempt to charge credit card 2 months before renewal. Don't have issue with payments, but normally try to lock the box out & send all mail back to senders. Once renewal completed I have to wait until they remember to unlock box(?). Then start all over again including receiving mail for previous owners. read more

Avoid this place, employees are extremely unprofessional and rude!!! I have been using this postal office for a long time since it is the closest postal office to where I live. Over time this place was good and bad, sometimes there is a female employee that is extremely helpful, other times there are a couple employees that are very unfriendly and the wait is extremely long. Today I have met the bad ones and I will never come back to this place again. Since I do not have a scale at home, my package was 4 oz over weight compare to the shipping label I purchased online, being a frequent customer who always ship underweight packages all the time, I was expecting the employee to accept my package. Instead, he tells me how he does not want to get in trouble. Which was completely fine and understandable with me, Then I told him to help me calculate a price difference I need to pay, he told me he was unable to do that since it was purchased online. Then I told him to void my current label and I would buy a new postage here in the office, but he choose not to look at me, and remained silent. Instead, I just grabbed my package and left the office to get new postage since he unwilling to do anything. 30 minutes later, I came back with a new postage on. Unfortunately I had to see the same employee from my first visit. This time, he really hold grudge against me, worked the whole time with a moody face without any greeting, not any eye contact, and without any sort of communication, he just scanned my new label and handed me my receipt without looking at me. Before I left, out of nowhere the employee that sat next to him said: "Hey, your shirt looks outdated! " Seriously, employees from this postal office need to know that we are customers, we are not here to see their cold face especially when they are unwilling to help. Secondly, only because you are working for the government does not make you any special to your customers. Do not use this place if you want the respect of being a customer. My mailman keeps delivering the wrong mail because he "can't concentrate". Today he delivered to bill that people in my neighborhood were mailing to a cable company and an insurance company! They were clearly to be delivered mail. Last week he delivered my mail to a neighbor's house--he told me he did because I was on the porch waiting for my mail. Stupid people frustrate me and they make me very impatient when I am standing in the long and painfully slow line. Here's my assumption on how long you can expect to wait in line at the Post Office: Line = 3.5 Stupid + 2.5 Mail + 5.5 Holiday Where, Line = minutes waiting in line at the Post Office Stupid = the number of stupid people in line Mail = the number of packages or letters for each stupid person in line Holiday = dummy variable if it is during a holiday week Well thank goodness for the self-service kiosk at the Post Office where you can mail your letters and packages in just a few minutes. The kiosk is equipped with all of your needs, such as a weight scale and a touch screen computer. Just input the zip code of the place you wish to mail your letter/package to on the touch screen and click on what the delivery type (First-Class, Priority, etc). In addition, it offers other services such as delivery confirmation. Afterwards, it prints out a self-adhesive stamp. Then you can drop off the mail in the slot next to the kiosk. It is as easy as 1-2-3. However, this self-service kiosk does not provide services for overseas mailing. Also, you can only use debit card/credit card as payment and there is a $1minimum. But that's okay. Just purchase a few 41-cent stamps to reach that $1 minimum. It sure saves a lot of time from being stuck in that awful long line and after you're done, you can wave bye-bye to all of the people still waiting in line. HA! They completely botched my Change of Address request when I moved from Sacramento. A lot of mail that I know was sent to me (including one envelope I sent myself, just to check) was never forwarded to my new address OR returned to the sender. I called multiple times and was repeatedly told that "yes, the change of address you submitted went through." Weeks later, I was told that the carrier had never been informed and was still delivering everything to my old address. There are clearly some major communication issues among staff at this office that prevent it from being as professionally run as it should be. read more

Don't care for the delivery postal staff. Whenever I get a soft package that really shouldn't fit in my tiny mailbox, they SHOVE IT IN THERE most times ripping the wrapping. I love like 1 minute from where the mailboxes are. These are mostly expensive jeans I buy on eBay and if they ever rip a pair I'll be at the post office in a minute to file a claim for my loss!! They shove these pkgs in there and then try shoving mail ontop and sometimes I can't even get the door open! They also drive thru my apartment complex at high unsafe speeds like their on a mail-truck Speedway! Ugh. read more

I decided to give this place a try as it's the closest post office from my location. I went here often to send out Job Applications and if I knew they may be late, I went in to get them post-marked. I've also paid for stamps here and needed to return some items, and although the building is old and the lines can be long, the staff has always been pretty friendly with me and their prices sure beats UPS prices, in like everything. UPS I feel like there are way too many hidden charges and upcharges. read more

I have been coming to this post office for at least 5 years. And 90% of the time, Rick is the person that helps me. I love his sarcasm, his jokes, and his enthusiasm. Every month that I'm here, I always look forward to have a conversation with him. Lately, I found out that he will be retiring soon which saddens me. As far as post offices go, this one is very dated, but in comparison to others, has helpful and friendly postal clerks (which are very few and far between) and the lines and wait times are usually fairly minimal. read more
