Avoid at all costs! Staff are rude, unhelpful, are always frowning, and instead of helping customers, seem to enjoy picking fights with them whenever possible. This usps does not carry on hand the priority mail regional rate a boxes or the priority mail flat rate padded envelopes. Is this bull or what?! When I asked about the priority mail padded envelopes, the lady usps told me to purchase bubble wrap instead! If you want any other boxes besides the ones they have, make sure you go online to order, but beware it takes 3-5 business days. What an inconvenience! I really wish I could give zero stars. I don't enjoy giving horrible reviews for customer service because I, myself, work in customer service. However, I've had MULTIPLE nightmare experiences with this post office. I can easily say this is the worst post office I've experienced. It's obvious that everyone that works here hates their job. Here are just my favorites stories to rekindle: *When moving into the neighborhood, the post office would not provide Change of Address forms. They said "you have to go online." Because I am an experienced mover, I already know that online costs $1 and the physical one at the post office is free. I said "online costs money and I'd like the free packet" the postal worker smurked and replied "we are all out" but her eyes said "I refuse to help you." **After awhile of living in Sacramento, we noticed our mailman was not taking our out going mail. Our 4-plex Townhouse did not have an outgoing mailbox, but we would leave a note in our mailbox usually saying "Outgoing mail please". The next day we'd find our outgoing mail mixed with the mail that just came in. Finally my girlfriend went out while the mailman was at our mailbox and asked "excuse me, can you take this mail for me?" The mailman replied "I don't take mail, I only deliver mail." My girlfriend was shocked. So next time we were at the post office we complained to the master postman. He said he would talk to the postman about it but defensively added "if there is not an outgoing mail slot, he doesn't have to take your mail." Are you kidding me? The master postman said we had to drop it off in the closest blue bin. Turns out that blue bin is 1.2 miles from our house. jackass! ***This post office also treats priority mail tape like Willy Wonka bars. They denied giving me tape even though it was for Priority Mail boxes that i just purchased. Every other post office gives you tape and some awesome post offices will even tape it for you. ****When sending Christmas presents to the family on the East Coast, we mailed the gifts on December 13th or 14th. Shipping was expensive but we wanted to make sure they were there for Christmas so our cousins could call us on Chistmas and we could hear how happy they were. We paid extra to make sure they would be there on time. We were verbally promised by the counter person they would arrive by Christmas. Christmas came, no gifts. Called the post office, they said they cannot track the box because of the large amount of boxes shipped for the holidays. My girlfriend was heartbroken thinking we just lost tons of money in gifts and shipping. The gifts arrived to our family on December 29th and her grandmother had to drive to everyone's house and distribute the gifts after the New Year. *****Customer service here is really ridiculous. Every counter person is a 40-50 woman that looks bitter that the best she could do with a career is working at a post office in Sacraghetto. ******Now that I've moved, to no surprise, this post office "didn't receive" my forwarding Change of Address form. They received my girlfriend's and her mother's Change of Address form and I mailed all three on the same day in the same mailbox. I called the Arden post office to have my mail forwarded, the guy actually said "no, you just have to fill out a new Change of Address form." I said "well can you check if I have any mail there now?" again he replies with a "No, you have to call at 7am and try to get in touch with your postman before he heads out on his route." okay, third time is a charm. I say "Can I put my mail on hold until you receive my Change of Address?" Postman's reply: 'We can't hold mail for more than 10 days, if it has been past 10 days we sent it back. You are just going to have to call all the places you do business with and give them your new address." DID I MENTION I HATE THIS POST OFFICE? In good news my new post office is awesome and they said they would just update my address in their master computer. The bad news is I lost the 2 weeks of mail inbetween my move. read more

This post office is very upsetting to me. For years now I had been using usps to send my very important large boxes of medical patient castings. I always use a broad red marker to write fragile on every possible side of the large boxes. I always use overnight or second day air postage to ensure that it gets to the Florida destination on time and is trackable. After years of standing in line, I was told that I could just leave my box at the right hand corner counter where it would be picked up along with all the others that are there. My postage labels were already taped and paid for at my business. I only drop them directly at the post office to ensure that they get there, and sometimes can actually save a day, versus waiting for the postman to come pick them up at my business. On October 1 of this year, I dropped a box there as usual, but much later discovered that my new employee had put a UPS postage label on it instead of USPS. I did not discover the problem until four weeks later. I immediately called the Arden post office where I had dropped the box. I knew that it had my return address which is just down the street and also my business name on it. To my surprise I was told that the box was no longer there and that they did not know where it was. I was told that it could be in three different collection areas where they put boxes that have problems. They would not allow me to go into any these facilities and also would not allow anyone to check these facilities for me. Here we are five weeks later, After multiple phone calls to many different customer service numbers no one has any idea where my box is. I have patient's waiting on 9 leg braces in order to walk. My tech never received the box of castings to make them these braces and this is a huge problem. Yes this was my initial mistake, but could have been easily corrected by any competent postal employee. Business phone number could have been easily googled and i could have been called. Or they could have placed it in a ups bin as i was told they usually do. They completely blew it. I will go into Arden post office once again to speak with someone in charge, but my confidence level is very low. read more

They get an extra star for being open on Saturday and having mail go out or picked up relatively late in the afternoon. Most of the time my mailing needs can be met in the lobby with the automated machines or drop off boxes versus having to go wait in line, so again pretty good. read more

This post office is ridiculous. First off they do not have enough parking. Second, the lines are way too long. I have spent my whole lunch hour here before. I eventually finished what I needed to do but came back to work on an empty stomach. I would recommend coming here early in the morning when they first open otherwise don't come at all. Second time this year I've had to file a complaint against this post office. They continue to update tracking saying they attempted to deliver my item and left a notice. Unhelpful! I ordered a package three weeks ago and they told me it shipped in three days but when I went to look for it in my mailbox it wasn't there. I called only to find out that the package had been brought back to the Post Office. I walked in today (almost three weeks later) to try and pick up my package and I was notified that they still haven't sorted through the mail and I should come back tomorrow. Post office has improved, I went during my lunch today and had no problem getting through the line and setting up my packages to send. Parking is so-so but you don't have to wait that long to find a spot. Its in-n-out service, usually drop-offs so the max is a 10 minute wait. The workers here are friendly, I heard my options of my packages being sent(FYI my first time selling like 5 textbooks off Amazon, which makes me really happy!) She offered me the cheapest way to send(media mail) and that the envelopes I bought could of been even cheaper at Staples. I've been born and raised with this post office in Sacramento, and I think its one of the better looking and better serviced post offices within our area. Had a package that was supposed to get delivered, got an alert saying it wasn't delivered because the delivery driver couldn't find a driveway, door, or office. So I contacted amazon for further action. The amazon representative brought on someone working for USPS to find where my package was. The USPS woman said it was brought back to the Arden post office location. She asked me specifically if I wanted a redelivery or if I wanted to pick up the package myself, I said I didn't want another delivery mess up, so I'd pick it up myself. I get to the store and the woman helping me was nice at first (small, with dark hair), until she couldn't find my package and got impatient while trying to understand the mishap. I then decided to call my apartment complex to see if they had the package, even though I was specially told to go to the store. The apartment complex had the package, but while on the phone it was all to obvious the dirty looks I was getting from the person up front. Saw all the low reviews on this place and thought maybe I might have a different experience, but nope. I normally wait a very long time at this post office and always avoid going in to the actual post office (i usually use the 24 hour automated machine) because the long lines are also extremely slow with one window open. But this visit was pleasantly surprising. I dreaded going in to wait in line but had no choice as my package was too large to fit into the 24 hour postage slot. I already had my package ready , it was labeled, stamped, sealed and ready to drop off but, of course, there was no quick drop off spot so I knew I had to wait in line. After only a minute of being in line something different happened! A fairly new employee that I had never seen at this post office came out from the back and started to walk down the line asking customers what their transactions were in an effort to lessen our wait time. When he got to me he said "are you just dropping the package off? If everything is complete, I can take that for you." and my jaw about dropped because finally there was an employee Who Actually Cared About Me!!! Whoo hoooo!! There is still hope in this world! My wait time went from 30 mins to 3 mins and I cannot thank this employee enough, I think his name tag said Richard, but forgive me if I have the name wrong as I am horrible with names! The clerks are ok, but I've had better. The lines are usually long and the waits are about 30 minutes (or longer) later in the day. I never get out of there in under an hour. Sometimes there is only one clerk, or just two. There is one or two that are really nice and I like getting, and the rest can be quite terrible. I once was shipping a cat statue with the company's logo on the box. I was hassled if it was liquor, I said no. I actually opened the box back up to show them it was a cat statue so she'd quit hassling me. A lot of my packages end up getting lost or delayed shipping as well from this post office. If you can go else where. They don't even offer the kids lollipops. In NY, CO, NV, other places in CA they all are very polite to the kids and give out little suckers and talk with them. read more

I have no idea what the hell these people are doing but have screwed me big time with their imcopentence. I am a frequent ebay seller who is proud of the positive feedback I receive from my buyers. I sent out one of my many packages only to start getting angry messages from a pissed off customer. They kept complaining that they had never received the package had sent them. We checked the tracking info and it turned out that as soon as the packaged arrived at this post office, everything went to crap. They would post that the package was out for delivery one day only to retract and state that the package was "been moved to next station" every day at 12 AM. I tried calling the post but nobody picked up. A few days later, the tracking showed the package was being sent back to me. We still have not gotten the package back but the buyer has already gotten their refund and has left our first negative review blaming us for this post office's incompetence. This post office has been my neighbood post office for years, so I frequent it quite a bit. The experience here has always varied from inconvenient to nightmarish. I have to say, thought, that visiting this post office is not nearly as bad as it used to be. There are more clerks and they are friendly and helpful. Yesterday was my most recent visit, and as it was the first of the month (usually their busiest day) I was dreading the visit like I was dreading getting my teeth pulled. It was a breeze. Someone was there to greet me (wow!) and asked what service I needed that day. The man steered me to the proper forms and answered any questions I had while in line. The line, which was out the door when I arrived, went by quickly. Major props to the employees of this post office for making a chore seemingly painless. read more

Beware! First of all, the parking is horrible. I couldn't even park in the lot because there were absolutely no spaces. I had to park next door. Some people just left their cars sitting in the middle of the lot which blocked the road and created even more traffic. No one was regulating or enforcing parking. Most significantly, I experienced the worst customer service possible here. I waited in a line that went out the door only to have to deal with a Chinese woman who barely spoke any English. She couldn't understand a word I said and almost screwed up my mail multiple times. Good thing I was paying attention. She was also unbelieveably rude. I wish I had the experience of some of these reviewers! I had the unfortunate luck to run into the RUDEST lady who was working the pick up counter recently!!! For some reason completely ridic reason the driver decided to leave me the package instead of coming up to my door to sign for it even though I was home and watched him pull up... Leaving me to deal with this intolerable woman at their pick up window! We rang the bell, nothing. We went inside to check to see if they heard it, another woman walks up. The lady opens the door as we are walking around the side again and manages to scold us telling us that that lady had been there first and she would be helping her first. Um, excuse me? We had been waiting there for over 5 minutes! It ended up the lady was freaking lost and just needed directions, well thanks for making us wait through that just to pick up a package. Now I realize this is a generalization, but this lady exemplifies what is wrong with the postal system! They should be accountable for their service, since that's the industry you picked lady, just like the private sector. I truly think they think they have their job on lock and don't care about their customers. Ridiculous! People like that don't deserve their tax dollar funded pensions. Omg. I never thought I could give a post office a bad review. But here it is. Its the staff...the terrible staff. Not all of them.but two in particular with really bad attitudes. We all have bad days. But i frequent this post office and its every day. They call you up..if you forgot to put a stamp on they tell you to move over and scream NEXT! Patience is a virtue that they have yet to acquire. They lolligag between customers... literally just taking their sweet time. I needed a small peice of tape to seal a package and the woman looked wayvto pleased to inform me that they dont provide tape that i can buy one. I have been to almost every single Post Office in Sacramento and this one is by far the best and most helpful! I had to do a VERY large mailing to many different countries and the ladies behind the counter were so pleasant and helpful. All of the other post offices were extremely rude and annoyed when I brought in my business and damn near pushed me out the door. But this Post Office was very welcoming and never gave any attitude or bad service. I work downtown and will always make the drive out to this Post Office because I know that they will help me with whatever it is I need with a smile on their faces. I had some problems getting a package delivered to my residence (my mailbox isn't big enough for packages and the mailman doesn't have a secure location to leave them), and when I went in to the post office to get things straightened out, the lady was just RUDE! She informed me that my items had been sent back out for delivery and that I would need to come back in the next day to pick them up. When I inquired as to why a notice hadn't been left at my residence regarding the initial attempt to deliver the package, she insisted that a notice had been left and that I should "check [my] mailbox a little more carefully next time." My mailbox is literally about a foot long and 5 inches wide... Not sure how I could've missed a notice. She also had the audacity to tell me that I should have called before I came into the office to make sure my items hadn't been sent out for delivery (fun fact: I HAD called. 13 times, to be exact. When the phone wasn't busy, it rang and rang until the phone line finally went dead). I explained this to her only to have her snap back at me that she was the only person answering the phone, so "some phone calls just have to go unanswered." I was HIGHLY offended by her lack of professionalism and lack of common courtesy. If you can avoid this post office, I highly suggest it. read more

I have never experienced a worst service in my life than this one post office. I needed to pick up my package and I had the delivery paper ready in hand. I waited in a long line to get to the front desk. The employee had, instead, redirect me to the door outside of lobby and told me the ring the bell and to wait for an employee in the back room. No answer, waited for quite some time and still no answer - so I went back to the lobby and waited in a long line again. The employees were rude! Said that there was someone in the back room. Guess what? I saw that employee in the back room pick up the purse and left back room without ever opening that door that I had rang in the first place- which means she *purposely* IGNORE the doorbell. After pointing that out to the obnoxiously rude employee at the front desk, I then asked why couldn't she just *go* to the back room and pick up my package? And she refused, and instead replied, "Because I have a long line to go through behind you. " What. The. Fuck? It would take one LOUSY minute to simply go the back room and pick up my damned package. The employee in the back room has ALREADY LEFT!!! There are TWO employees at the front desk and there were FIVE people behind me! Her condescending response tells me that I don't have priority as a customer. Worst service ever! read more

okay I am officially now making a complaint against is arden post office. by far is the worst post office I've ever been to in my entire life I've been shipping packages for my business since 1993. first off the employees there hate their job you can tell it's time for them to get a new job. they never smile they give you attitude. the only thing good I have to say is they do their job yes but they never greet you with a smile or hello or anything. so today when I was in the line for the post office 1 lady who truly hates her job giving a customer front of me just weird attitude. you can tell she feels like she's been put out. then when I was called up by the gentleman who is an American Indian with a long braided ponytail. so forgive me if I'm wrong if he's not American Indian. nonetheless I had to re send a package to Dubai. because my customer forgot his post office box number. and I need to re-tape his address to the package I wanted to show the the gentleman that it got sent back and is it possible to resend it for free. he said no I said that's fine. and right away he told me that I need to tape that address to the package we sell tape for 3.50 pointed me over there and said next. and I told him you gotta be kidding me you can provide me with 3 strips of clear packing tape? he said nope and I told him and that woman out loud that both of them need a new job they both hate their job and they both have attitude. And the same customer that was in front of me was still dealing with that other postal worker agreed with me out loud so everybody in line can hear us. so I recommend avoiding this post office if you have to actually have customer service help from these postal workers. and for the record I actually called the postal service and filed a complaint. the 2 years now that I live in Arden area their attitude as never changed it seems to have even gotten worse. read more

Excellent post office! Upon arriving a tall black man started cussing at me and calling me names for no reason. He was pushing a post office cart so I thought maybe he worked there. As I went in he followed me in. I waited in line for a few short minutes. When I got up to the register I was expecting my package to cost $35 based on my online quote. When I got up he weighed and measured and it was just $20.60. I asked him if the tall man who had called me names and followed me in and was waiting at the door worked there he said no, and I explained what had happened. He discreetly called over his supervisor, Ruth, and told her what was going on. I don't know his name, my receipt just says clerk 66. Ruth walked me to my car, thank goodness because the man followed me and my child out to my car. I am thankful for her presence because he pretended to fumble around in his car(parked next to mine) and as I left the parking lot he went back inside. The customer service was beyond excellent, and they went out of their way to ensure my safety. This experience will make me a loyal customer. Thank you Ruth and clerk 66! In the third week of July, 2010, I wasted several hours on this post office trying to perform the simple act of mailing a package or two. Amazingly enough, this happened when there were no lines. The worst offender was a Chinese immigrant woman, about 40 years old, with some gray in her black hair. She wasn't just rude, she was aggressively, repeatedly, incessantly, multiply, constantly, and inventively rude. A number of the other problems just bring us to the most important thing you can learn from this message: just stop using the post office, period. There's nothing left but the wreckage. Every administration since 1968 has tried to make the USPS so awful for the little guy that it will collapse and be replaced by corporations. They succeeded. The USPS is now used almost exclusively for junk mail, and now even that is being replaced by spam e-mail. Revenues are drying up, and the USPS is firing huge amounts of its workers. Everyone rents a mailbox because the mail delivery is so frustrating, and everyone uses UPS because the USPS shipping is so frustrating. Just say no. read more

I was in this Arden Way PO since it is in my area of 95825 ZC. I went in to purchase additional stamps for Christmas cards about Dec 20, 2015. There was an older gentleman employee helping customers at the self help postal feature in the lobby. He had a santa hat on and seemed to be knowledgable and helpful. A woman supervisor came along side of him and told him in front of all the customers waiting in this lobby line that he needed NOT to tell customers something about using a certain mailing tape for free. She said that tape was not "free" but would cost her $7.00 out of her pocket to pay for each persons tape. Ya ya ya ...Yes he did rudely shrug his shoulders and ignore the boss and continue to help the customers. She obviously was ticked with his attitude (which I would have been too as a boss/co-worker; but he kept it light. She came back a 2nd time while I was in line and told him the same thing but more aggravated with him. He continued his attitude and ignored her. I just retired at 55yrs old from the State of Calif after 38yrs and worked customer service many of these years. This would have been totally unacceptable in my office. Just not a good customer service experience for the postal service and it appears this particular 95825 ZC doesn't have the best reviews. My family living many years in this ZC have seen the downward spiral of changes. The male blonde carrier we had was great but whenever there are subs which there have been for the past several months, the service has been terrible. Missed mail, carriers on their cell phones as they deliver, my mail delivered to other neighbors, other neighbors mail delivered to my home etc. NOT good! read more
