I have never had such a frustrating experience in my life. I ordered an item online that I was very excited about & spent a lot of money on, only to never receive my package!!!! The item tracking stated the item was delivered to my "parcel locker" however I never received my key to the locker nor was it in my mailbox. After countless calls to the USPS customer service, leaving notes for the mailman, and a visit to the USPS post office I received a call from someone from San bruno post office possibly by the name of Gino(?) He stated my mail will be delivered by the end of that day and if they're unable to locate it they'll give me a call. I NEVER GOT MY MAIL OR A CALL! This led me to call customer service be on hold for an hour (for the 5th time). They said it looked like they stated my claim had been "resolved" and the issue had been handled. LIES! I had them reopen my claim, then got a phone call by another lady from San bruno post office who told me to file for a refund online - but turns out I can't even get a refund because there was no insurance on the package. Absolutely ridiculous that this is the way they handle other people's property. I lost my money because they can't keep track of where to put packages and wish to continue to ignore the problem! read more

I was picking up my Canon 400mm f/2.8 IS and after waiting for a few minutes for the guy to chat with his coworkers in the back, showed up with the box complaining how heavy it was. One of the better experiences I've had at the post office. Mr. Ma who assisted us at the counter was most helpful in shipping several boxes during the closing minutes of his shift. All I can ask is.... How is this post office still in business? I can't believe how lazy the workers are and how RUDE the guy with the mustache is. He was condescending and immediately waved me off while I was talking to him. I had sent a package to South Korea with the address clearly written on the form, and this guy sent my package to Greece. Then, he told me it wasn't his responsibility or the post office's responsibility for losing my package. Cool. When he saw that I was annoyed, he said to call his supervisor and threw a piece of paper at me with the number. I got home and called the number- the number is not a working number. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for Fedex. At least they know how to do their job and treat you like a human being. read more

The services here is no doubt very VERY bad. The employees work like zombies, people wait in like like zombies, the smell of the place is worse than hospital, service is very slow and unkind. However I'm giving it a 4 star !!! Nope, I'm not crazy, not an idiot, do not have relative working here... so why??? Because these are federal employees who don't get paid much, they come in faithfully day in and day out, not a satisfying job nor much excitement, but this is a much needed service that we all have to use. The truth is, we can all go to UPS or FedEx of you want to pay 2 -3 times the price if Postal SERVICE. Btw, who takes a date to post office? You did you expect? Live music? ESPN while waiting in line? Girls in short skirts serving chicken wings? Candle lights? Or is it free wine tasting? Give these guys a break. Smile at then, greet them with a good morning. Most of then are knowledgeable enough to tell you what you need to do so your packages get there on time. I had an issue witha package I sent out, it was returned to my house. I was bit angry because II paid a lot of money. I spoke to the clerk (Ma) and he immediately called the supervisor, he was kind and professional as well as the supervisor (Jenny). She actually provided me with a new box and packed the box herself. I went back to Ma who graciously weighed the box and gave me a refund because I was originally over charged. I recommend this US Postal Service location and thank you Ma. read more

Had to renew my passport again after 6 months due to significant damage. (Thought it's be safe in my safe, but it got attacked by tiny bugs, yuck!!) So I made an appointment here over the phone. The wait time was a few minutes, longer than I expected, but making the appt was smooth. The woman over the phone reminded me exactly what to bring for the application, which was helpful. The day of the appt, Tessie helped me out. She was great! She processed everything for me quickly, and when she noticed that my passport was renewed very recently, she helped me file a request to have my app fee waived. Not sure if that'd happen, but it's very thoughtful of her to do it for me. Overall, a smooth process thanks to the good people of this post office! read more

Worst service ever, And the worst from the manager RHODORA NUKI, she treated me like I was some kind of child. There had been many prepaid packages that had been lost from this location. I drop packages and for a magic reason they get lost. Up to this date I have 4 packages in the last 5 months That have not been found. Almost 300 dollars worth of good that ive lost, and that the post office have not responded back to me. THIS PLACE SUCKS and the concept of service is lost. I have been going to this post office regularly for about as long as I've been working at my current job which has been from 2008-2017. I often go to this post office to buy stamps or ship things domestically and internationally. I feel like I have seen so much by just standing in line here. From people complaining in line loud enough for the postal workers to hear to seeing kids dropping off letters to Santa. I mean and then some! The parking is okay... There have been a couple occasions there was absolutely zero parking available and I had to awkwardly wait for parking spot in the turning lane. USPS Forms, shipping boxes are usually stocked and other shipping materials, cards, and gift cards are available for purchase as well. Not bad to have since I've had to buy a roll of shipping tape a few times by forgetting my own. This past week I've tried calling for an appointment for a passport with no answer. I came over on my lunch break yesterday to make an appointment in person. I was miraculously able to make an appointment the following day! The appointment started a little late, but it was okay, I made time for it. The process was pretty straightforward with all the necessary documents and payment. This post office and the staff in my experience operate fine. And I will continue to return to this post office at my convenience! read more

I wasn't there to sign my package on a Friday, and it got held at this post office. I'm here on a Saturday to pick it up. The hours on a Saturday are 9 to 12. The line is crazy. Over 20 people. All of us waiting for 20+ minutes. Why would the post office not staff more people to put up with this demand? If it's only open for 3 freaking hours youd think this is typical demand on a weekend, the only time people who work business hours can even come here. But ther are only 2 window workers, not sufficient at all. This post office really doesn't seem to care about moving us through this line quickly or catering to the obvious weekend demand. So I guess this is the level of service I will always anticipate from here on a weekend: 20 minute wait. read more

Just went to this location since I work around the area-- best post office ever. Well, at least the time I went. There was virtually no line at noon, workers were helpful in assisting me pick the cheapest option to ship my items in, bright and large space, and was in and out in a matter of minutes. This location has plenty of parking and is well-stocked with supplies. I used to live in Daly City, so grew up with the post office there--- long lines. I live in SSF now, and the post office near Safeway always has long lines and they seem understaffed. I'm glad I found a more reliable option that I can go to close by during working hours. read more

Horrible customer service. I had to pick up a package from the post office and could not so I signed for an agent to do so and she his is what happened: 1. This post office did not release my package to an assigned agent who had the delivery slip filled out and showed proper identification which negates their company policy. 2. This post office did not hold my package for 14 days which negates their company policy. 3. They returned my item to the sender without explanation as to why Which was unnecessary. 4. Spoke to a manager named Mac Mahoul who never once apologized about the errors on their part nor did he willingly offer a resolution. I understand we all might make mistakes here and there but every person I spoke to in regards to my package was rude and unhelpful. Upper management must not care about how their guests/customers are being treated since it's apparent through the Yelp reviews that something needs to change and it hasn't. read more

Conveniently close to my house and the grocery store, it's always easy as pie to pop in, grab some stamps and shipping materials, and be on my way. The lobby is open 24/7 and has the big blue machine available for me to ship anything. No more teller required! I just tell the machine what kind of package I have, where it's going, and swipe my card. Out prints the shipping label, and you can pop it in right on the spot! The nice part is that the whole thing is indoors, so you're not subjected to the chill of SSF. It would be devastatingly sad if this location was to shut down. read more

This is when I wanted a zero star option. Here's are some of my experience: 1. Paid for special Sunday delivery - I've stayed in all day to wait for the package, all of a sudden the tracking was updated to "Business Closed". Here are the problems: - This is NOT a business, this is an apartment complex. - Yes the office is closed, but shouldn't the mailman tried to deliver the package to the house before trying to drop them off at the office? 2. Same thing - I've stayed home all day to wait for the package and mailman again never came by. The office was already closed, so all I got is a note in the mailbox to pickup the package at the post office. - I went online to request a redelivery the next day - 1 week later, still no delivery - Finally went to the PO to pick up the page and had to wait in the crazy long line. Arranged hold mail online and requested that after the holding period ended to have my accumulated mail delivered. Two days after I got back from my trip, did not get my hold mail! I've got no message from the mail carrier of what happened to my accumulated mail. So, I had to go to the post office and found out that it was not delivered for no known reason! My assessment is that the mail carrier is too damn lazy! Terrible service! And one other note, it's like pulling teeth trying to get someone to answer the goddamn phone! I don't know who but a male employee stopped midway through helping my husband send a letter to order lunch. With no sense of urgency he held an impromptu meeting with a coworker on what might be good for lunch that day. Unbelievable. I wanted to pick up a package on a Wednesday around 1:30 and upon entering saw a line of 8! people so I turned around and left. Forget it. I don't know how this place has more than one star. Pretty good Post Office. On weekends and evenings, there is a self service box for shipping USPS Priority Mail packages and letters which is handy. It only takes debit cards, and does not take flat rate Priority boxes though. Generally, the lines are not long, or move quickly, and there is a drive through drop off for quick mailing. read more

DO NOT GET PACKAGES MAILED TO YOUR BOX HERE. :( Tried getting a package mailed to my P.O. Box here. TWICE it's been sent back as 'address does not exist'. I brought it up with the office and they said there's nothing they can do, 'perhaps your box was covered and they couldn't see it'... twice?! It's not an issue of 'they couldn't read the label' either, it says on there 'P.O. Box _ _ _ does not exist', with my box number there, and on the tracking slip confirmation that has a digital barcode as well. Luckily the seller has eaten up the cost of sending the package TWICE, because the post office said they wouldn't pay for messing up! Sigh, what is going on? How much more of my mail is being returned this way?? Someone PLEASE do something, this location is failing its people and that's tragic... I used to love this location. read more

The guy with the MUSTACHE has the worst customer service. I came today to send a letter and wanted USPS tracking. I've haven't had a problem before sending letters with delivery confirmation, as I've only done it 5-6 times. But the mustached worker denied me cold and said I could only send by certified mail. Confused, I said I came a couple days ago and was able to send with tracking on first class without problem. He said that person wasn't supposed to. He asked who it was and I said it was a woman. He then told me "why don't you go to the same worker then and they'll do it for you". He then looked around exaggeratedly to find her, but there were only men working in the store. He then said "well she's not here. certified mail only or send it somewhere else". Offended, I said I wanted my letter back. He waved his hand at me and said "go then". read more

I sold a couple of things on eBay and had to ship them. We were at Tanforan returning some things at Old Navy and my mom remembered there's a post office nearby. So we stopped by after our Tanforan trip. One big plus, they have a parking lot. That is a gigantic plus in my book. Most of the post offices in SF do not have parking, so it's a total pain to go to. There were only about 3 people ahead of me in line and it went by fairly quickly. I think I waited less than 5 minutes. I had one priority envelope that I already paid the postage for online, so all he had to do was scan my SCAN form. And I had one package that I wanted to send Media Mail. He did everything super fast and I was out of there in under 10 minutes. Awesome post office. read more

I sell a lot of things on Ebay, so I print out my labels to be mailed at home. A while back I asked the customers service agents at the desk that if the weight on my label is off would it be returned to me? She replied that if it's a pound to two it's okay, but anything more it will be returned to me. So before Christmas I mailed something from an Ebay customer. Shortly after Christmas the package was sent back to me because the weight on my package was wrong by half a pound. That would be .5 lbs. or 8 ounces, if you prefer numbers. Like seriously, a lot of scales don't even show ounces. That's some BS over 8 ounces. That's like someone getting a speeding ticket because she was going 1 mile over the speed limit. Cops might be jerks sometimes, but some people in this post office are a-holes. read more

Let me start by saying ZERO stars. I hate going to this location which is why I always go to San Mateo location because its close to work. I ship things all the time from Ebay. I also take a picture of the bar code to scan it for the buyer. CHARLES the A-hole that works there told me he's not allowed to let me take pictures of the packages. Lol, what!? It's my damn package! I should have just went to another location and not shipped it from there, but people need to know what they will be walking into. CHARLES, to sit and argue with me and lie is not professional. I have been shipping things the same way for the ladt 2 years and this is tge first person who has ever had an issue.This isn't the first incident with this location either. Seriously, go to another location. I stopped another employee and asked him. He said, you're allowed to take a picture of the bar code. This is one of my favorite Post Office....I drive from the outer SF area. Today I had Ma help me with my priority letter.
