7/22/26 Thus is the P.O. nearest to us at the moment. It's small, very dated and quite dark for a post office. Very dimly lit. I'm just dropping off a birthday card going to Germany. I didn't encounter staff at this visit. Quick, cursory look, it's not aesthetically pleasing but I'm fairly certain it's a place of business that gets the job done, I hope. I will find out once my friend informs me when AND IF the card gets to its destination. From a few of the places I've lived (addresses/cities) I noticed that over the years some P. O. are highly unreliable, sadly. I'm banking on this location to be a reliable source of service. I am writing to formally report an unacceptable interaction I had with one of your USPS pick-up drivers at a drop-off location on May 19 around 4:40PM afternoon During my visit, I asked the driver a simple question to clarify his instructions, as he was not communicating clearly. Instead of explaining in a professional manner, he responded with visible frustration and began cursing--in Vietnamese--apparently assuming I wouldn't understand. However, I do understand Vietnamese, and the words he used were highly disrespectful and inappropriate in any setting, especially in a public service role. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply offensive. I approached the situation calmly and respectfully, only to be met with verbal abuse. The clerk: 13 male staff who helped me was very awkward and weird. As my first time trying this service in person - I purchased stamps, and I had heard from my friend that USPS helps us either stamp or place stamps on for us. The male staff told me each stamps would take 45 seconds to place, and about an hour work. He said USPS does not do that, and he lectured me that I can go buy a machine which is a few hundred dollars to do. His demeanor was very unfriendly, and he kept speaking to me in the tone as if he was trying to prove his point or seem like a big person. I was simply asking questions because I did not know, and he made me feel extremely uncomfortable. He needs better customer service skills and to not make customers feel awkward. This was actually my first time buying stamps at the USPS store, and once I was done I stepped aside to count the stamps to make sure. He kept staring at my in a very suspicious way, and I looked back at him and he kept staring. He never said thank you. VERY VERY WEIRD STAFF MEMBER. MANAGERS PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF APPROPRIATELY. I saw someone else comment that the mail person saw them and didn't deliver & left a slip for attempt to deliver. Same thing happened to me in October. The mail man walked half ways to my door to deliver my son's Halloween costume. Decided to turn and walk away. He even saw me through my window. Obviously I'm home with my baby. I've never had a problem with this post office until this week. On Saturday, the mail carrier came, put our mail in the mail slot, said hi, and left. In the mail was a slip saying he tried to deliver a letter we had to sign for, but no one was home. We were home. We said hi to him. I arranged for the letter to be delivered on Wednesday as I would be home that day. Same thing. I love the quick and friendly service at this USPS. I drop all my mails and ship all my packages here and they always take care of me. So far my experience here is always convenient and safe. They also offer passport photo/renewal at this location. But do make sure to check the availability time before coming in. the time at the sign posted can be inaccurate at times. I would normally complain about any government entity but this one has proved me wrong 3 times now. The employees helped me out shipping items and food to Alaska and Hawaii. This is my second time visiting this location. Small parking lot but better than no parking at all. I came around 4pm and it was not busy. Diane is friendly. She explained to me about custom forms and shipment type. Now I understand the process better. Would try to get her again if I'm shipping something new. This is by far the WORST U.S. postal office in the area as the staff are rude and not accommodating. They weren't that busy with passport service and couldn't even take 5 minute to take a photo for one person as you need to make a ridiculous appointment which is 2 weeks out. Imagine a postal employee, public service, paid for by tax payers and stamp buyers, saying "I'm NOT GOING TO HELP YOU, that's TOO MUCH WORK!" - "I'm NOT GOING TO WORK, too much!" Asellia or whatever her name is (Asian skinny lady) refused to WORK ! I wanted to mail out 10 boxes and all she needed to do was to wheel the cart to the back. But NO, she flat out refused to work - although she is at a federal facility, funded by ME. Asellia proceeded to throw my boxes even after I told her they were fragile - this is GROSS NEGLIGENT with intent to DESTROY parcel packages. Definitely violated code of conduct ! I reported her to the Office of Inspector General and spoke with her Supervisor. Passport services: We came here on a Saturday morning for our passports. As per the other reviews, we came at 830 and lined up. It is first come first serve and you sign up on a list with 10 spots. We were first in line and already had our forms filled out with the appropriate documents. The lady at the window was super efficient and accommodating. Uh wtf is wrong with the older Asian woman with glasses? I sell on Poshmark (which allows sellers to send packages using their flat rate shipping boxes). Whenever I use any other posh office, they honor their agreement for the usage of their boxes. It even says on the shipping label printed from the site itself! Keep in mind that I'm very polite and respectful to any kind of service worker.. she told me that I needed to buy a new box. And when I kindly told her AND pointed out to her that I'm allowed to use their flat rate boxes, she flat out calls me a LIAR. Anyways, USPS also hired her because she's able to speak Cantonese and HELP patrons that have a language barrier. Instead she demeans them and treats them like they don't deserve service. Is this a joke or what? Again, after "fixing" the issue of keeping my deliveries and not notifying me of any and kept them in the office for me to find out i had late payments. Now they are doing it again. They claimed they attempted the delivery yesterday at 6pm but failed as they couldn't get access to my front door. I dont have a gate or anything to obstruct any deliveries, I even reviewed my camera and saw no one approached to the property. USPS needs to stop hiring lazy people as keeping mails will create big consequences for others. Be compassionate, start doing the job!!! And i dont even go to the office location if at all possible to avoid, as their people inside are ... obnoxious. You'd end up ruining your pleasant day if you go in. Local govt needs to fix this post office, or else, they need to be removed and let other locations service the area. One of the more friendly Post Offices I have been to. My attendant was really nice and actually looked like she like her job. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Only entrance to the parking lot is off of Del Mar. You cannot get to the lot off of Las Tunas. You can only turn right onto Del Mar when exiting. read more

San Gabriel post office has turned out to a terrible experience. Besides constantly delivering my neighbors mail to my house ( usually when someone is filling for are usual great mail lady), they've managed to deliver my IRS return to another neighbor. Luckily he was great and brought it to me. Now, they have stopped mail delivery to the entire block because my dog barked to the lady covering for our mail lady. Of course, she is a stranger, and dogs bark when there's a stranger in our properties. Yet, he is the sweetest dog, only barks. Yet, they didn't leave a message, a name or a number to call. Lucky to getting 1 star. They made me pay to receive My own mail! The mailman came to my door and there was a letter to me by the Board of Nurses and I needed that letter. So he says that it's 60 cents cause they forgot to put a stamp on it. Never heard of this practice so he called his boss. I can hear his boss yelling thru the phone, " If she wants it, she needs to pay" like ransom or dangling it in front of me for money. Don't bother coming here. The employees are rude and careless. They charge for absolutely everything. I have been to other USPS locations and all are so kind as to taping up boxes if needed. Hey USPS. Please retrain your employees to properly learn what a flat is so they stop overcharging me. I've had your workers tell me that it's REQUIRED for the contents to be documents only, where it says nowhere that's the case on the website. Additionally, they talk over you and don't let you explain your problem as soon as they realize you're trying to tell them they're wrong. If you disagree with them, they immediately tell you "how many years they've worked there". Well, that just means you've been scamming people for overpriced packages and doing your job incorrectly for all those years, then. This review is for the passport service. It's not unusual to hear about the clerks for passport services being rude. I've seen multiple locations with bad reviews, but I thought, "Who cares? People need passports. They'll come anyways." After being turned away in Rosemead (due to limited clients per shift), being told to return after noon (2.5 hours away), and witnessing the voices of the bad reviews in person, I headed straight here. At 10 am on a Monday, I arrived with my application filled and was next in line. I was done in 25 minutes. Diane spoke in a calm and collected tone, explaining the whole process, and had me triple check that I wrote all my information down correctly. It's easy to tell she was busy with all the incoming calls, but she never took it out on her customers during my visit. 6 weeks: $110 for the booklet, $30 for the card 3 weeks: $170 for the booklet, $30 for the card Expedited mail: $15.45 I opted for the first option, because I wasn't in a hurry. Overall, I am happy with my experience. I would recommend others to come here to get passport services done. read more

Horrible. I requested to have two packages picked up and I never had a problem before. Instead, I was left a noticed from the postman with 'HIS' instructions to pickup two packages at this address. He didn't pick them up -- just left them there. I called and spoke to Thomas, who laughed and said, "oooh, he's new, probably didn't know what to do with the pickup and left you the note that he was supposed to keep..." Umm, I'm surprised... regardless if they are new, they should know and be properly trained. This is the worst post office that I ever had to deal with and this isn't the first time I had issues with them. Customer service over the phone is bad, too. Every time I call, who ever is helping me seems annoyed and doesn't want to help. I guess from now on, I'll just go to the post office on Temple/Oak Ave. since they are nicer and better to deal with. I rather make the extra trip to drop off my packages or buy stamps there. Update: Wow! This is the third time!! I come to this post office strictly for its convenience. Thank God for online bill payments! But yes, I still pay my property taxes via snail mail, send packages sometimes, and mail particular snail letters too. One thing I dislike about this post office is the tiny parking lot. Drivers constantly comes in and out, and I just see a disaster waiting to happen... whether somebody get's their toes ran over, or a car backs into another. I have seen it happen and too many times I see people honking for no reason... just lame! And the busy Del Mar Avenue does not make it any better during the day to turn in. So my solution now is to park across the street and just walk over. The lines inside are quite long too most of the time. I see the mail clerks most of the time at the windows trying to work as fast as they can, but sometimes a customer just takes too long to find out what they need before proceeding. It just bugs me to see customers taking their slow paced time filling out or correcting their slips at the counter. Or argue with the clerks about a particular package whether it's too expensive for them to ship, or trying to ship something that is not packed correctly. Sometimes I see the mail clerk on the other hand slacking. But I will keep it at that. This post office has probably been around the community for a long time. I only hope that they could expand someday to ease the congestion. But, I try to avoid post offices as much as I can... unless I really need to go. I'll give this place two stars due to the bad experiences dealing with parking, rude people, and all the screaming. The business itself is three stars because it's convenient. read more

Im guessing he's been getting all my stamps.com mail. My dad was in the neighborhood one day and had to go to a post office- this one. Tony saw him and all obnoxiously loud he said "I need to talk to you about your daughter. Do you know what shes been doing? How could you raise your kid like that!?" My dad was totally confused. He then threatens by dad, "Don't you leave this city. Dont move anywhere. I know where you live. I will report you guys to the government" What Tony meant by all that was- why was my stamps.com shit going to his address. Its a crime, blah blah blah. My dad rushed home and he was upset at the general situation. I explained to him what has happened and I can call to verify. I called the company and put them on speaker for my dad to hear. Told customer service that I still had an account open and the mail was being misdirected. If there are fees to pay, ill pay it as long as it closes the damn account. Lady on the phone told me the fee was over $300 but they waived it because i've been inactive since the 2nd month of opening the account, which was when my FREE trial ended. This has got to be the worst post office in southern California. Phone: the phone will ring a good 30-50 times before someone answers it. Need something answered quickly? Forget about it. Location: Small parking lot, very crowded. It's difficult to get in and out of, if you get one of the 12 parking spaces. Staff: Fairly helpful if you have basic needs. The supervisor isn't much help if you have additional questions. And forget about anything outside of the normal shipping. I needed my lock replaced and was told via phone (I finally got through!) that it would be done. I gave them my name, number, and address. They said they would call me. Having not heard anything for a couple days, I decide to go in. After waiting in line for way too long, the guy tells me I have to pay first before they do any work. Way to waste my time! So, essentially, you have to go in first (their hours are 8:30-5pm, GREAT for those who work and can't leave early) and pay, then come BACK when they've completed the work to get your key! Perhaps if the office hours were extended, or the maintenance guy was there longer than 6am-2pm, it wouldn't be so bad. But screw me for having a normal job! I understand that a U.S. Postal store might not have the fastest service and that the workers are only getting paid so much, and also that many people probably come through asking the same repetitive questions all day. I also understand that is actually very impressive and convenient that the workers seem fluent in English as well as Mandarin, Cantonese and even Vietnamese. But what I definitely don't understand nor accept is how blatantly the workers here drag their feet in helping you and have such a horrible attitude. I came here to mail in a traffic citation and ask questions about how much it cost. I never thought I would be belittled for asking someone information where it should be given. I inquired how they were going to look for my package that was marked as delivered but was not found in the mailbox and the male employee who answered the call gave me attitude and annoyance. If he doesn't want to work, then just quit. There's no need to be bitchy when a I'm trying to find my package that their carrier delivered &lost. I made 4 attempts throughout Friday till now and I was left unanswered Friday & Saturday since Sunday is closed. And I didn't get a response till Monday, today and even then it was vague and offered me no information.
