If you're coming to get your passports done, I recommend coming in a few hours before they open. We came on a Saturday at 7:30am, they don't open until 10am, and were number 30 on the list. On the window it was posted that they only take 50 names, but on Saturdays, I think they make an exception and take more than that. The first time we came, they took 75 names and we missed it by a few people (got there at 8:30ish) The second time we came they took 85 names, so I guess it just depends on the days..? I don't know how they determine the amount. Anyway, just getting your name down is the time consuming part, after that everything is easy. (Remember black pen only! I did mine online and printed it out to make life easier) We mainly came here to get our daughter's passport done since both parents need to be there. I needed mine to be renewed, but the man told me I needed to wait in a different line for that (which was the same line as everyone mailing in items). I was confused as I thought they do everything...? That was my only disappointment, maybe have a sign posted that you only do new passports and children's passports so people don't have to waste time. Other than that, the workers were friendly and did all the paperwork quickly. Had a great experience renewing my passport with my sister in law! We came at 9:40 to get in line to sign up for the list. If you want to be first then you have to come earlier to be the first in line, but we just made the cut being number 36/40. Came back at 4:00, and only waited a 15 mins until it was our turn. George was very helpful directing us and also had a great personality. It's hard to come across anyone who isn't grumpy by 4, but George was cracking out jokes and making us both laugh. He was also very helpful with giving us the right instructions to follow and help direct my sister in law in saving $25 since she was eligible for renewal by mail. Worse service ever!! Here on the website say will accept 40 people but today they said only accept 35 tickets to get in.

At the passport office, there's a sign that says "line starts here" but in fact there's actually a sign up sheet at the door. If you're standing in line after 10 in the morning, then you're just wasting your time and you're losing your spot. They are very dis-organize!!! I give it 2 star just because they open on Saturday. The workers at this post office are very helpful and courteous. How can anyone say they are rude? This might happen when the customer is grumpy and obnoxious. How would you like to stand behind a counter and work continuously like they do. I am sure they appreciate when people do not complain, they do not deserve that. Got there at 6:00 AM and there was a line, which was fine. Had to wait in the cold while they opened the door at 7:00 AM. Waited for 4 hours and we didnt make the list by a long shot. The person that was giving out numbers wasnt even there when they made the list. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

Be extra early to this post office, waited in line 3+ hours to get my passport, even counting all he ppl ahead of me but closer to when the employee walks by with his clipboard all the ppl start showing up who's placed was saved by a friend or family. Honestly, i saw so many bad reviews from this place but it wasn't bad at all. I went to go get my passport. I'd give it a 5 but they have this sign that says "if you're not here when your number is called you lose your spot", and it wasn't really true. They had a list with people reserving spots up to 40 and it was filled. It was still early and they had almost finished the list so i thought we'd still have time to get our passports that day. Well this girl comes, she was number 16 & they had already passed her number but they still let her cut and go through because she was on the list. That's the only thing that bugged me because her excuse was that she had school when really i had school too but i came and waited almost 2 hrs without cutting. Nonetheless, i still got to go even without a number it only took me like maybe max 10 min inside and i was out. It was quick and simple. I arrived at 515 on a Tuesday and got #9 on the list I was hoping to be one of the first but that was good enough and dress warm cause you'll be waiting a few hours and you don't get into the mall to wait inside until 6am.. USPS Eastridge post office passport services used a non-democratic un-documented policy to give out numbers this morning. Binder paper sign up sheet was used and process not announced those standing in line. There is no mention of this process on any government website. The note on the post office door reads "Sign Up Sheets Will be available at 10am" and that's not what happened. Don't waste time going there, and post office official was extremely rude. read more

I got there at 7:20 a.m. on Friday morning and there were already a lot of people (43 people as it turned out) in front of me. When the guy showed up after 10 a.m., he just took names and told the rest of us that he would take only 40 people today and close the office at 3 p.m. Nice hours for this guy but tax payers' money at its worst at this location. read more

I usually don't post any yelp review but this one actually is a bit doozy. I need to renew my passport application. I had the application form all filled out, passport photo, and also my current passport book. I didn't know what's the next step and as this is my first time renewing my passport. I went in there ask the Mexican lady on how to renew my passport. She was actually very helpful and explain me things so I have a better understanding of things. However, the Mexican lady was busy so she pass me over to this chubby Asian lady. Let me tell you, if you do not know anything about shipping or methods she will actually look down on you. I actually wanted her to go thru my things making sure I have everything before I blindly mail in my passport renewal application but nope. She was like... Put everything inside that envelope. This is like my worst experience ever. I also heard that she is really unfriendly if you don't speak English or don't know what you're doing. If you ever go to this US Post Office, please avoid her at all cost unless you know exactly what you are doing and know all shipping method.
