    Waiting in line for way too long every time I'm here it's a long wait. Today seven people in line and one person working !!!!

    Just dropped by off today. December 19, 2020 around 12:40pm. The lady that helped me today. Blonde. Caucasian. I should have gotten her name. Perhaps in her late 50's was extremely rude. It's a busy holiday season. And I had about 30 letters within US and 7 letters to be mailed international. I have counted them beforehand but i forgot. So I had to recount. She was impatient and constantly saying "do you wanna pay first?" "Oh my god" "I cant believe this".. Her co-workers seemed to be fine and very polite to customers. She didnt even ask if I wanted it to be registered or anything. She just handed off my stamps and said "NEXT". I did not even know where to put my mail. As I do not mail often. It takes 0 dollars to be kind and patient to customers. Please improve this

    Like this US Post Office location in San Mateo the last few times i have visited. + Friendly staff. + Fast service. Even when I had seven people ahead of me. + Accommodating services. + Nice to people who may not understand their services. Foreigners and shut-ins. + Easy parking. + Easy location to find. Too bad some dickhead drivers are also customers (see pics) But then I came for the US Post Office services and people. Not for the company of other customers. Overall I give this US Post office location and an easy four stars!

    The customer service here leaves a lot to be desired. I went by to drop off a box of books that i…read moresold online. I didn't have any packing tape at home and there was none out for customer usage that I could see. I already had my shipping label, so all I was missing was the tape. There was one person there, who i'm assuming was being assisted with photos, and two employees. I stood there, holding a heavy box for probably close to 10 minutes, and they never acknowledged me. Both employees looked at me and ignored me. Neither said anything about being right with me, or it would just be a minute or anything. They never said a word, just ignored me. And I stood there holding a heavy box the entire time. Then I noticed the sign about their "full service surcharge" which basically states that if one of their employees has to do something for you, you have to pay for it. Since I already had my shipping label, I was not about to pay for them to tape my box. So I scanned my label and dropped my box in their chute. Next thing I know, i'm about to get into my car, and one of the employees comes out and starts yelling at me because my box wasn't taped. His exact words were that it was all over the place. He told me that I had to wait for them. I responded that I did wait for 10 minutes, and they ignored me. He just kept yelling at me that next time I can't do that. So here's the thing. I am sorry that my box made a mess, but the thing is that I doubt that happened. The box was packed pretty tight, and it did not drop that far. So while a couple of books probably fell off the top, it wouldn't have gone all over the place. Basically, there should have been tape out for the self service they push so hard, like every other shipping store in the area. Otherwise, don't threaten to charge a fee for shipping a box and don't ignore your customers. I did not appreciate being yelled at and humiliated in public over their lack of customer service. Next time I sell books online, i'll go to the FedEx store in Millbrae.
