What more can be said about a USPS office? Open Saturdays, which is not true of all locations so that is very nice. Building is easy to spot, the honking long building when you plug the address into Google Maps. Lots of parking, especially during COVID times. People seem to have a mixed bag with some of the workers, but if you've ever been to a post-office same can be said about the types of customers that go through in a day (one of them, lots of us). I've never had a bad experience here, and safety precautions are in place for COVID. read more

The locked doors make having a box a real problem. I can't get there before 5 pm because I work. I can't get there at 8:30 am when they open because...again... I work. I can't get there before they close on Saturday because...work! I can go on Sunday but...THEY LOCK THE DOORS!!! So I basically pay almost $60 a quarter to not be able to get my mail. When I lived in HB they gave us a door key as well as a box key. This place needs to do that or hire security. It really sucks that I can't get my mail. read more

Do not adjust your screen, but I am going to give a positive shout out to the USPS, specifically, front desk Supervisor, Elaine. I had a serious issue trying to get delivery of my mail after returning from a vacation. I had been gone for a number of weeks, so lots of mail and no one seemed to be able to locate my mail. Elaine took ownership of the issue and followed-up during the 12 hours of detective work required to locate my mail. (Kudo's to Marlene too.) Thrilled to know that people who are focused on the customer and taking pride and ownership of end results still exist. As for the carrier who delivered 20 days of mail to an unmarked driveway and then didn't answer his phone when his supervisor called to ask him where he put it; and the night supervisor who never called me back; all I can say is to spend some time with Elaine to learn what Customer Service and Common Sense look like. COVID CENTRAL!!!!!!!!!!! This branch is a management disaster. Customer mask requirement is not being enforced. Even worse, several postal clerks are wearing their masks below their noses, and one was even wearing his mask under his chin. I saw only one worker wearing her mask properly. I am very disappointed in the customer service this post office has after letting someone else sign for my package without double checking on the name and who's receiving it. Also not answering your phones or calling me back after your customer service person said they would to let me know about my package. I don't know who does the training here...but wtf. I went in yesterday and this poor little old lady who could barely speak a lick of English was trying to get a cashiers check? I don't know...some sort of check and the postal worker helping her (Hispanic? wavy hair) was literally yelling out the amount $1000+ bucks, she said it like 5 times, like what is wrong with you, are you trying to get this poor little old lady mugged? Like have some common sense and try to be a little more discreet when helping clients with large sums of money. Sigh. I really hate to give bad reviews during CoVid but here we go. I will probably be going to UPS from now on. Basically, if you want to increase your high blood pressure, then you go here. First things first, I have to clarify, the lady when I arrived was really nice, she was a lady with blond hair (I did not get her name but if she ever reads this I would like to thank her for her kindness) and went out of her way to help me out. She seemed like the manager or supervisor or something. Anyway, I am grateful and I get in line. I look around and am glad an employee Herbert is not there anymore because Herbert's attitudes towards customers is horrendous. He will humiliate you, ask intrusive questions, be very condescending, and be antagonizing for no reason. So, I am really happy that Herbert is not there anymore. Another employee, Frank, has always been the saving grace of this USPS, but I did not see him there that day (Frank you are awesome). Then it's my turn and I get Marlene, there are already several negative reviews about Marlene (I concur with those Yelpers' opinions based on their experiences). Well, turns out she is the passive aggressive female version of Herbert. Blatantly ignores you and your questions, feigns innocence when called out, very unhelpful and sour. No stars for her. Dealing with this customer service person was passive-aggressive jiujitsu for no reason. I need to find a new post office. Multiple packages of mine never get checked in after I drop them off, even though I paid for Priority Mail. I constantly have to file package research cases on the USPS website to have them move my packages along. As a small business owner, this is extremely frustrating. Local offices gotten lazier since CoVid. Nobody answer the phone anymore if you try to reach out to them with your concern. Mail carriers dont scan item either and some of my packages gets lost. I have 39 items picked up thru scheduled pick up and its been a week and no tracking movement. Terrible! Terrible service. I love helping people that help me and this review is based on my almost every day visits or every other day. My personal favorite reps are Frank and Lillee but not limited to the entire staff. The manager is a real doll and I can assure you she is people people kind of a person. * Site has at least 5 reps ready to help. Major kudos! Drawbacks: outside "driv- thru" boxes have been removed. Major bummer! I do a lot of ebay sales and I've shipped out all kinds of envelopes or boxes (or you name it) on my ebay items sales. The staff is always very helpful but of course I come in ready. With tape or any other packing supply ready togo. (It really baffles me when I see ppl that look like they just came out of cave demanding free tape or boxes ect.) Recently Lillee facilitated my renewal of my passport. I highly suggest todo passport applications in the morning. No lines *they take pictures upon arrival for passports. I can honestly say that the entire staff on this location has been professional out going and funny. They have all been very kind to me of course I like to treat others with respect too. "Remember treat others like how you would like to be treated!" I'm compelled to say this friendly reminder because I've seen all kinds of goofy ppl with poor communication skills get all worked up. All over not reading instructions on forms. Or because they thought they can ship out something over night for cheap. I've seen the staff be nothing but gracious for dealing with the masses. I love coming into this site in SA because of its handy parking too. It's big and clean. It never smells like dirty diapers. So I naturally like to help those that help with my ebay shipping. The service here is pretty awesome. Right when I walked in to get a form for a box someone immediately stopped me to make sure I had the right one. When I got to the front they told me I had to write harder because the ink didn't go all the way through but said I could come right back when I was done. The whole process was pretty effortless and I ended up going to another open desk because the one I was at before was taken. She answered all my questions and made sure everything was okay. I went to this post office to have a package delivered to my nieces in Georgia. I paid almost $60 dollars to my package to be delivered. It was in December 31,2020 and they have not received the package and I had expensive items. They are making me go through hoops and loops do a claim do this do that. And now they are telling me the package may be lost how do you lose a big box that weighs about 8lbs. Ridiculous, I will never be using the USPS again ever. HORRIBLE & SSssssslow service! The horrible part applies to the passport section. I went during my lunch because I need to renew my passport. Even though the paperwork is self explanatory, I had a couple of "short" questions such as: "how long would the wait be (approx) if I pay for expedited service?" I stood in line for 25 min - one person in front of me. 25 min later a lady walked up & went off on me. She said the gentleman in front of me was te last person she would help & that I wasn't there last she checked. My paperwork was filled out buy I had 2 questions. Did she answer? NO!! When I told her, I just needed to renew but I had a question. She replied, "we don't help renewals, it's self explanatory, go on THAT (pointed) line & mail it. Wowww!!! Proceeded to the regular post office line. Waited for another 20 min - long line & during that time they only helped 3 people. They take their sweet time & several people including myself left. It's convenient to come here because it's close to work & I work long hours - can come during lunch. However, they have no sense of urgency. Would rather wait & go into my regular location in Anaheim Hills on Sat & be greeted by someone NICE who is willing to HELP. read more

Shady carriers. I had a package that required signature... I look up online and see that it's been delivered, and signed by "J J". There is nobody at my office with those initials. I ask for proof of delivery, I get emailed something with a scribble for the signature, and a squiggly line as the "address of recipient". The package was in our office's external mail boxes, crammed into the box. So, the postal carrier forged the signature, then just put it in our mailbox, without attempting to deliver it to our office. EDIT: Changing my review a little. Before I discovered the package in the mailbox, I contacted the post office to see if they could find where the package was actually dropped off (at this point I was still assuming someone named JJ actually did pick it up, and they just went to the wrong office). I filed a case # and was told someone from the local distribution center would call me back. They did after a couple of hours. In that time, I had found the package in the office mailbox. Cooley, the gentleman who called me back, was a great help and was very sympathetic to what happened once I explained the situation. So, at the very least, it sounds like something might happen. An older gentleman by the name of Alex was assisting me. I walked in and asked "Are you able to help me tape up this package?" and he said "Yes, let me go find my tape!" When he returned, he condescendingly said "So, you expect me to do this all for you?" I was confused by the question and said "What?" He seemed agitated and said "You just expect me to tape up your box for you??" I was very perplexed, as I had asked him only 2 minutes prior whether he could help me with taping. He seemed pleasant and said "yes." I assumed he would have said "no" had he not wanted to/ not been able to assist due to policy. I'm a post office noob, so I have no idea what the rules are (which is why I asked first). He then said "I'm not supposed to be taping this." And I said "I'm sorry, I didn't realize that." He kind of shoved my receipt toward me and didn't say anything else. I would've happily purchased tape and secured my box on my own had he said he was not allowed to tape up my package. Not sure why he agreed to do it and then became rude. I've come to this post office once or twice in the past and have always had a poor experience, so I guess I'm not surprised. read more

I wish yelp allowed us to give 0 stars. Went in today to send some flyers out. I have NEVERRR went to any other post office and been treated by the way the employees here treated me. I was truly caught off guard to think that the United state Postal service ACTUALLY pay these people to sit behind a counter and treat people who want to send mail in such a poorly matter. The postal service was the greatest creation to the American people and it is truly outstanding what it can do for millions a day. People who work here need to respect their customers with servicing them to the fullest and making sure that by them choosing to use usps as their service is appreciated. I went in today and was helped by HEANG. He literally looked like he could not wait to get off the clock. He made me process my transaction for him and basically do his job for him. I am just a customer not a employee and what he made me do was not correct. I asked for a manager and out came ANA another bitter, horrible rude employee who thought it was okay to treat me work than the employee (way to set the standards). I ended up doing what they wanted me too knowing that what they wanted me to do was not correct. In the end a third employee came out to apologize for what I was put through. I let her know that had heang and ana actually spent 1 min to see what I needed and helped me none of this would have happened. She was in shock that neither one of them actually listened to me and helped me. She asked heang if he asked me what I wanted to do and actually made sure there was nothing he could have done more and he said no I didn't , and that was when the manager realized what her employee's did was not ok. I appreciate the other manager coming out to help us and take over the transaction and apologize to us because she was appalled by how we were being treated. Mailed my sister's birthday card with $ in it from inside this Post Office last month. Card never got to my sister. Of course. My mistake. Post Office has tanked over the last 4 years thanks largely to Trump & DeJoy--local Post Offices shut down, hours reduced, especially on Saturdays, mail delivery slowed down, an increase in lost/stolen/damaged mail & packages, can't get through to any P.O. ever by phone or email. But when I go in today (because it's now the only P.O. open on Saturday anywhere near me), to mail a flat 8x10 envelope due to P.O. over-regulations saying you can't deposit it in the mail, you have to stand in line for "security reasons" and I'm surrounded by maskless idiots who probably aren't vaccinated and I complain about the Post Office floor space markers that say "6 feet apart" but are actually only 3 1/2 feet apart and the maskless idiot next to me six inches away because the Post Office can't be bothered to open up every third window instead of adjacent windows even though they only have 4 windows open, the extremely rude female BEHIND the window tells me I can go to another post office if I don't like it. Of course, Post Office employees are notorious for being rude (although I've had some really nice ones, even here)) but this was so glaringly wrong, especially with the deadlier Delta COVID strain taking over everywhere and COVID cases and deaths now increasing again as a result, I had to go to Yelp. PLEASE, people, get vaccinated, wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart around strangers. Over 4 million people have died so far. You can still get COVID and carry it to others even if you've already had COVID (which I have) and you've already received both vaccinations (which I have). You can still get Delta COVID and die or kill others. So I might be carrying it again right now from several maskless idiots who were six inches away from me at the windows thanks to the idiots who run the Post Office on Grand in Santa Ana this morning. My mail gets delivered to the wrong address or not at all. They lose packages for months, or sometimes forever. They refuse to answer the phone (they just pick it up and hang up immediately to stop the ringing) so you have to go in person for everything. They didn't fix the problem the first time, and when I went back the manager hid in the back room and had someone say he retired... this really happened! This office is the worst example of "government workers" you'll ever find. I have had to find a workaround for literally everything that uses the USPS because I can't get my mail, and I can't get it fixed! read more

Marlene is rude doesn't ask the proper questions and I guess just does things her own way... my package was returned due to her not asking me if I wanted a signature or not I never do for priority mail as it goes to a secure place but she just decided to fill in the blank for me I guess and assume. I wasn't given an arrival date or asked to pay for for delivery earlier in the day. I have no idea why this women has chosen a customer service job if she clearly doesn't have the attitude or tools to succeed in it. Thank you FRANK for making my experience on 11/18 at the post office fast, easy and personable. This is the first time I've ever received spectacular service at a post office. He made sure to make the process of getting a passport super quick but was also very professional, precise and explained everything thoroughly. This review is for the passport office only. I have no problem with the level of service at the postal side of the business. The only good thing about getting a passport is they do not expire for 10 years! Unless, of course, the passport is for a minor. We need to get my five-year-old son's passport renewed. We can't renew it by mail because for kids you have to actually take them in to the office. Also, both parents have to be there. Why? I don't know. The post office passport offices no longer take appointments. Why? Because that would be too gosh darn convenient for people who can go on line or pick up a phone. What am I saying? Even with an appointment, it used to be a one to two hour ordeal with a surly passport clerk whose only seeming joy in life is to tell people their paperwork is incomplete and they need to come back. Or, this favorite: Clerk: "You need a photo." Me: "Yes, I know. I have my extra $10 right here so you can take the photo." Clerk: "My camera is broken. Go and get a photo and then come back." Me: "Hmmm. Do you know any places nearby where I can get a photo?" Clerk: "Nope. Good luck. I sure hope you can get back before I close up at 2:00." I swear I can hear the clerk laughing manically as the door closes, and I know that is a look of utter surprise when I return with my photo in 20 minutes because I just happened to get really lucky at the Kinkos down the street. Anyway, when we arrived at the Santa Ana Post Office to get my son's passport renewed, there were about 20 people in line ahead of us. I figured we would be lucky if we only had to stand in line for three hours at that point. There was no way we could do that with two kids. We left. My wife and I figure that the only way to take care of this efficiently is to take time off work. Fortunately, we can do that, but for people who do not have generous employers, getting a passport can be a huge hassle because Saturday is the only day they can make it. I guess the Republicans used this model when they dreamed up their latest voter registration requirements. I realize that Americans are very paranoid when it comes to our borders, and we do not want to let in the undesirable elements despite what they contribute to our economy, but there has to be a better way. Why can't we do mail renewal with new pictures? My son looks a lot different than he did at six months, but everything else is the same. The State Department has his birth certificate, DNA sample, and every other piece of information they need about him. What more can I do to convince them that my pale little boy is not some dangerous drug dealer or terrorist from southern climes trying to get into our precious country to pedal death in any variety of forms. This location is large compared to other locations I've visited. Parking is plentiful, services offered are same as other post offices and the staff is quick and friendly. I've been here only to pick up certified mail but have always been served promptly.
