Let me tell you about HERBERT. We have never sent out a cashier's check to the DMV so we had a few questions going in. Not only was this teller rude but he was passive aggressive and had this attitude. My husband is deaf in one ear so when he asked HERBERT to repeat something because he mumbled, HERBERT answered him in a condescending tone. Glad to see that that's how you treat your veterans. This location is large compared to other locations I've visited. Parking is plentiful, services offered are same as other post offices and the staff is quick and friendly. I've been here only to pick up certified mail but have always been served promptly. With all the online services now available it still feels good to go into a post office to connect with people as opposed to my laptop monitor right? :) read more

Well, I just don't understand it. I have gone online to hold mail, but I was told by a postal carrier that it's best to just fill out the yellow card and send it out in the mail; this way the carrier knows about the dates and so does the postal station. That's what we did: put a card out for pickup to hold starting 12/24 and start service again 12/27. However, they DID deliver mail 12/24, and on 12/27, here we are, and there's no mail. I know this, because an envelope we had to go out did not get picked up. Guess I'll just have to go over to the postal station and see what's up. Our tax dollars at work--I think not. Some inefficiency here...might account for some of the budget problems. read more

First, they need to empty the outside mailbox more frequently. It is always bursting at the seam and envelopes are hanging out because the box is so full. This is on a regular basis. Second, I send lots of payments for work that seem to not make it to its location. So, I end up having late payments and even collection. Not sure if mail is stolen from mail box or drops of during processing. Either way I don't trust this place now. read more

Better than most post offices.. I came in around 4:20 and there's was a lady there who was cordial and helped me a lot. They don't have packaging tape other than the ones they sell so keep that in mind if you will be sending anything. There are two different medium size boxes with one having a self adhesive sides. (No tape needed) I will probably come back to this location again if I need to because it was fast and efficient. read more

This is a major post office compared to some others in the area. This place has two drive up mailboxes, and also does passport processing. The parking lot is not huge, but there always seems to be parking. The line is often long, but that has to do with the unfortunate decision to only have two or three people working a customer service counter that can have four times as many employees serving the public. read more

Saturday I expected it to be busy. I think this location has not been able to streamline their process no matter how long they have been here. I came here to mail a prepaid first class mail package. All I wanted to accomplish is getting it scanned as received udid not need a receipt. I told an employ Hartencia what I wanted to accomplish. She told me I had to wait in line. I asked if I dropped it off in their bin will it be scanned? She said it all depends if their busy or not. I need to make sure so since she sounded like she dare not do more than she should, it seemed i would not get a scan if i dropped it off in the bin. So i decided to wait in line. As I stepped in line I asked her who was your postmaster. Artencia responded and said "they changed the person, I dont know the name". I waited in line and got the scan. Until today I've never had any hiccups with mail delivery. A package of mine was mis scanned somewhere along the process, and my mail got lost in the process. Farrell took ownership of my concern, tracked it down, and promptly followed up with me. Not only was he able to locate it, but he was able to get it on the last delivery truck of the day. No wonder post offices are closing, hours are cut and consumers are finding different ways to ship their products. I sent a small package from Santa Ana to San Diego on Oct 17. The recipient never received the package and I opened a claim on the 29th. On the 30th, I received the return package in an envelope stating that USPS had damaged it. I bought it to this station. The POS employee name Herbert was so unhelpful. He told me that the package was too small to mail while his Co worker said it was fine to mail. I asked for a 2nd tracking label which he wouldn't put on the package for me. It took me two seconds to do this and get back in line. His breath is absolutely horrendous and his customer service is worst. I will never use USPS again. read more

The postal workers behind the counter are awesome Customer service A++ However , I went in today and the mail carrier that was back behind the counter was rude and unhelpful He wouldn't even let the girl look at my slip for pickup Before assuring me they did NOT have my package yet They hadn't even looked at my slip!!!! This post office is a perfect storm of incompetence and apathy. Fully ¼ of my packages in the last year have been delivered to the wrong address (single family home). In each case, the on-duty supervisor tried very hard not to help, and seemed irritated that I was interrupting her "very busy day." read more

I agree with Sahara G, I experienced terrible, unhelpful customer service when trying to get advice on what envelope worked best for what I was trying to ship. Point from the counter at a variety of envelopes across the way is not helpful. When I pointed to each envelope on the rack for clarification, she just kept shaking her head. She was highly incompetent and thought it was funny that she wasn't being helpful. So I left and decided to put my package back in the original envelope i had it in and it was delivered just fine to my customer on the East Coast. Update !!!!!!! I wish i could give zero stars !!!!! I pay for postage everytime I go in to make sure i dont get returns and I was just returned an envelope I paid for at the counter ! The same lady who overcharged my for an international envelope forgot to put the postage for my other envelope ! And now i have to pay again are u kidding me ! Sometimes this place is alright but for the most part they overcharge you like today I went in with a international envelope which is a dollar 1.15 but has a wax seal so it's non machinable I have an agreement with other employees since I go in five times a month that if I put an envelope over the wax seal cuz it's easier and it doesn't make such a mess if it cracks that they let me use the 115 plus the $0.21 4 Non machinable well today a girl decides to charge me almost $3 for the same envelope that I put in there almost 5 times a month the way it was the same weight the size the same the shape was the same she just decided to overcharge me and when I called her out on it she didn't fix it and said she throws my card inside the bin if there isn't going to be a consistency where someone actually like goes in there and pays almost five times a month on a fixed income by the way then I'm not going to come here anymore the best post office that has the consistency and customer service is definitely on King Street read more

**NO STARS FOR YOU** HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. WORST customer service EVER. My apartment complex has recently had mail stolen so USPS is in the process of fixing the mailboxes. As a result no mail is being delivered and must be picked up at the GRAND AVE location. After waiting quite some time,I explained the reason for my visit. The man at the counter replied to me "Great, another one". After tossing my ID back to me, he went to to get my mail and came back with 2 seperate envelopes. I explained to the man that I am signed up with Informed Delivery and per my DAILY emails, I should have a lot more than what he gave me. He told me (quite rudely) no, you don't, come back tomorrow. What is the deal with Marlene? She has no customer service, not polite AT ALL, speaks Spanish but pretends she doesn't. Went in yesterday to make an appointment and she was helping an older Latino gentleman and literally raising her voice at him or speaking to him in English, when clearly he didn't speak English. Came in today for the appointment was waiting next in line and she jus looked at us and ignored us, never acknowledged us so I went and told her we had a passport appointment, she said very rudely "I'll help you right now". Whatever, if she's busy she can say but she just ignore us. She then asked the lady next to her "oh what are they here for?" When I literally had just told her we had an appointment. She then mumbled "oh she's the one that made the appointment yesterday" in a very rude way. We go to the little window and my mom asked her is she spoke Spanish and she answers in English! Come on dude! We do our thing she goes to get something from the other side and starts a conversation with other people, a conversation that could have been carried another time, we had an appointment so finish helping us and then you can go back to your chit chats with your friends. She finally decided to come back and took her sweet time stapling and writing whatever she needed to write. Girl! If you don't like this job, find something else because clearly you are miserable here! She told my brother and my dad the oath, my brother replied yes and she says to him "are you listening?!" Clearly he said replied yes to you already so yes he is listening. This girl either needs to get retrained or fired because she is making the experience work going to this post office an awful one and I am sure many can attest to that. Not a good place for the passport applicants they are very slow plus they charged me 60$ extra that I am going to received my passport in two weeks ( express one ) it's been 4 weeks and I still didn't received it , plus if you asked them they are saying it's not in our hand if it's not in your hand thn why you guys are charging us extra ? They don't have any answer for this question ! So I'm taking out my frustration on yelp. I called saying "I'd like to renew my daughter's passport what time does the office close, can I make an appointment ?" She said "you don't need an appointment, we close at 5" so I rushed to get a copy of her birth certificate and got here at 2:30 pm well they close at 2pm! FRANK was seriously the best post office employee I've ever dealt with. This guy is fast informative kind and efficient and seems to love his job. I work in customer service as a manager for a company and this employee needs a raise! I was observing the other employees and he goes ABOVE and beyond where nobody else even came close. I was very satisfied with my time here. I was here getting a passport and I originally came in as a walk in, she told me there was something wrong with my photo and that I would need a new one. It wasn't really a big deal because if I risked sending it in as it was then it may not have been delivered before my trip. She warned me about how it might have taken longer with the bad photo which I was grateful for because I really needed it on time. I got the pleasure to work with two of the ladies that worked there. I scheduled an appointment for the next visit (which I highly recommend). She said the photo was good to go. I got my passport on time and was able to leave the country shortly after. read more

I have to come here often and this 5 star review is for FRANK! I have had other helpful people here too, but there is one I won't mention who I always pray not to get when I'm waiting in line.
