This is the place to come for a smog check. I have been coming here over the years with three different cars, and each time the service is fast, and they always have nice people working. Julie, the manager, gave me a $10.00 discount as well for being a repeat customer. The whole process took under 15 minutes, and the price super reasonable. Highly recommend

I called and spoke to the receptionist and made an immediate appointment for me. I walked in and it took maybe 5 minutes to fill out paperwork and pay. As soon as I got cozy, the serviceman walks out and my car was finished! Very kind, quick and efficient

Haven't had to do a smog check in a while so now that I was due for one I came to US Smog check. I got here at about 450pm on a Tuesday and I was out of there in less than 15 min. Luckily there was only one person ahead of me. The staff is friendly and both the inside and outside look really clean. Make sure to check online for any coupons that might be available. I would say the price is pretty fair, I called a few places and this is on the lower end.

Stay Away! Although I passed the state-required test, a young, arrogant technician claimed that my vehicle failed the visual smoke test because he said there was smoke lingering. In reality, there was no smoke--just a little condensation that wasn't lingering at all. This place is a scam and made me spend money trying to fix something that wasn't broken. When I took my vehicle back, they still insisted it failed. I went to a reputable smog shop nearby, and they confirmed that my car was good to go--no smoke, just condensation, and my car runs great. Avoid US Smog at all costs! The owner who responds to these one-star reviews is a crook. I will report them to the State of California for investigation. After reading other reviews, I see that this is a common practice for these scammers. read more

second time back cause first time they didn't wanna pass for lil hole in the intake, which I fixed and came back now they wanna rev it high rpms and say smoke coming out, these guys who think there mechanic don't know shit and there slow always packed they have 5 stars cause they give discounts place is trash and slow. Also it passed on the machine but " the hero's" said it's up to him and the machine don't mean nun so what's the point in the machine? find better read more

Again, this is my go to smog check location. They are always fast, friendly and offer great customer service. The waiting room is clean and air conditioned for those needing a smog check as myself during the hot summer months. There was already a couple cars ahead of me when arriving, but even so, I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Smog inspection was $49.75 and certificate was $8.25 and is electronically transmitted for you to the DMV. read more

Came in for a smog check for the requirement of the registration for another year of my 2014 hybrid vehicle. They took me in as a walk-in in the morning and I was outta there in 20 minutes tops. I was able to use the yelp check in to save a little bit but overall no frills and no funny business just solid get it done smog check. And we passed! I will definitely be coming here again for future smog check needs. read more

Came in here recently for a smog, and they are very quick and friendly. We pulled in on a Thursday afternoon, and there was no line. We were greeted very quickly, and the lady checked us in. We sat outside and waited about 10 minutes, and it was done. We went inside to pay and I remember that I had a yelp offer the last time I came to do a smog. I checked the app and sure enough, the yelp offer was there $10 off a smog check. I thought prices would be up since Covid but nope! $48 even after all these years! Awesome!!! read more

Born and Raised in So Cal Originally, we were inspired to set up a quality smog check facility after my mother had a horrific experience during a smog check on her vehicle. This place is terrible! They will rip you off on every service. Was told to have car serviced at dealer before smog testing... but never advised me to drive 100 miles before retest. Charged me anyway. Tech is arrogant, rude and sarcastic. Asked if they honor local pricing - response was yes.- but refused to honor on line phone coupon, had to be printed. Asked to speak with the manager- he came out eating a sandwich, said to go elsewhere. I went to another smog test on chino hills parkway and they guys were so nice, and they have an online coupon, great savings. read more

recently came in for a smog check, and I have to say the service itself was quick, efficient, and handled very professionally. The actual smog service was awesome and completed fast. Unfortunately, the receptionist came across as very cold and unwelcoming. She wasn't personally rude or disrespectful, but there was no greeting, warmth, charisma, or friendly interaction at all, which gave the place an uncomfortable vibe. Overall, the service was great -- I just think a friendlier front-desk experience would make a big difference. read more

First time I went for smog check it failed, Brian asked me a few questions and I told him car had been sitting unused for about 6 month and we had to put in a new battery. He informed me that if I drove it around and put in about 100 mile that it would probably pass. We did that and when I went back IT PASSED!!!! He saved us money!!!!! Got my car smogged here a few days ago. I picked this place cuz i drive by there every other day. It was definitely one of the cleanest shops I've been to and the service was good. the prices were a little steep but I was able to find a coupon in the local Champion paper. $15 bucks off. The cool thing I was able to get my tags here - i did have a pay a fee but better than going to the DMV. read more

Based on subsequent testing, my vehicle passed without any indication of the "faulty engine light" issue that I was told caused it to fail here. This business is a testing-only station, and my experience raised concerns about the accuracy of the inspection. I was told to return the next day, and instead of being offered the reduced retest fee I expected, I was told I would need to pay the full testing fee again. Because this matter is currently under investigation by BAR, I encourage others to do their own research and keep copies of all inspection reports and receipts if they choose to have their vehicle tested here.

Went to smog test my 1995 Jeep Wrangler at another smog place and it failed. They advised to go to…read morea smog certified repair shop, and looked on Yelp and found Crescent Auto. Called on a Friday at noon and spoke with Jeff and told him my Jeep didn't pass smog, and what the fees were to diagnose the problem. He let me know the fees and said we could bring it down today and he would probably have it over the weekend to see what was going on. Dropped it off right away, it's only a couple miles from my house, and Jeff called with an update on Monday and said what the problem was and how much it would be to fix it. I approved the charges and he also said they could do the smog test and certification too. Great! I don't have to take it to another place to see if it passes, Crescent Auto will do it all! Got the Jeep back, Jeff explained everything and gave us the detailed invoice with the smog certificate and off we went. My husband usually works on our vehicles, so this was a first for us to take the Jeep anywhere and it was definitely in good hands with Jeff and Crescent Auto. The communication was clear and we were updated often. I appreciate you Jeff and am so happy we found you and your shop!

We came to Express Smog & Lube in Montclair a couple weeks ago. This place does more than smog and lube. They also do car repairs. One stop shop for your car maintenance needs! We spoke with George, the owner. He was very nice and helpful. He explained the process he would take to assess the leak and what would be entailed to fix it. Thank you George for taking the time to speak with us and sharing good information. Today I called them to schedule an appointment. I spoke with Danny. He was very kind and helpful. He provided specific instructions via videos on what we need to do when dropping off the vehicle. His extra attention and care was much appreciated. Thank you Danny for your time and efforts. Even though my Mom's van has not been fixed yet, I know George, Danny, and their crew will take good care of it. Thank you everyone in advance. I'll do an updated review after the fix.
