I've been coming to U.S.Tailors for years with projects ranging from "can you fix this hem that's coming un-done?" (Yes) to "my body size changed and I don't want to give up this dress, can you help re-size it for me?" (Also: Yes). So I was thrilled to hear from another Yelp reviewer that U.S. Tailors also did wedding dress alterations! The alteration lived up to everything I hoped for, no notes. Very expensive and cash only (or debit/Venmo/CashApp, some of which seems a bit sus...). The alteration of my bridesmaid dress cost as much as the dress itself. I expected it to be on the higher end, but that surprised me. I was also called the original day I was told to pick it up to be told that it was going to take another week, which thankfully I had the wiggle room for that. The job got done. They do a great job with alterations but the husband/owner is an absolute jerk. He's annoyed when people come in, hardly will even look up at you, and seems inconvenienced to be checking you out. WE ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS! Try a little customer service. I will only come back if it's my last option and would prefer to work with the wife. She's very sweet. read more

This is the first place I found when I moved to KY and it's been the only place I've ever gone to. They do a really good job with hemming, regardless of the material. They are fast and reasonably priced. I've had sweatpants and dress pants hemmed and want to say each time it was only about $12 and done within the same week. read more

I was a little nervous to use them because of a prior review but they gave me no problems at all! I had a bridesmaid dress that needed hemmed and I did not want to take it to David's bridal. The wedding was at the end of June and I wasn't sure if they could be able to finish it in time. I called prior to get a quote and which she asked a series a questions and told me my price range. Newsweek $30-$50. When I went in and she had me try on the dress and fixed it up to be hemmed. She gave me a date of 3 weeks which was perfect timing! One of my friends went to David's bridal and they charged her for a rush fee. When I came and picked it up, it only costs $35. Not a bad deal and all. If I ever need other items hemmed. I will more than likely come back. The service was bad at all! read more

Excellent and friendly service. Quality work by experienced employees who speak English which someplaces do not have. I only mention that because even with my hearing aids I often have trouble understanding what is being said and it is better if the language is English.i highly recommend this business. read more

I'M STILL IN SHOCK!!! I have used this tailor shop 2 times now ( I had given them a second chance after a bad first experience) and I will NEVER return! I was charged $70.00 to alter (shorten) 2 straps and take-in a tube top by 1"!! 3 items in total, 2 straps shortened in total plus 1" taken in on the 3rd tube top!! 2 shirts required shortening by 1" each on 1 strap per shirt! I shared by frustration with the man who checked my out and he then said "how about we just do $60.00"??????? I felt like I was at an auction!! He then stepped over to a woman who was seated behind the desk helping another customer who told him that I was being charged $25.00 for each shortening of the 2 straps and then $20.00 for the tube top 1" that was taken-in on the side...What's especially appalling is that on this very site, there's pricing in some of the comments where folks have gotten a FULL PAIR OF JEANS HEMED FOR $14.00!!!! 2 LEGS FOR $14.00!! I paid $25.00 FOR ONE STRAP!!!! Though I am aware that alterations takes skill, this amount for this small work does NOT equate to $70.00! I refuse to be taken advantage of and they've lost my business and the business of everyone else that I know, as I plan to share my experience! read more

I had to get a suit altered as I have recently been working out and losing weight. I needed the suit to fit without looking like a snuggie. I had heard great things about US Tailor and decided to give it a shot. The staff was very friendly and I asked if it would be possible to get the suit within 3 days. They said that would not be an issue. The great thing about this suit (bought in 2005), was that it still looks brand new. Kudos to Express suits and their longevity. Overall, the suit was custom fit and fit so much better. The staff was great and did a great job. The price was very reasonable and the quality was A+! Great job US Tailors! This place quoted me $15 for a job and then when I went to pick it up, she charged me $48! I told her that not a week prior she had told me $15 and she denied the whole thing. Since I had nothing in writing I had to pay it. I'll be taking my business elsewhere but if you decide to give this place your business, make sure you get a written quote from them. I am wearing a vintage dress for my wedding from the 1950's. I have had the dress since I was a little girl and played dressup with it. They did an unbelievably fantastic job of tailoring my dream dress to fit my pregnant body. I went in for a fitting before my bump was very visible and she asked me to come back on May 6. The dress was ready by May 20th. She had to add panels on the side and put in a new zipper, but It looks like new! I am so excited to wear this dress and will post before and after photos to demonstrate what a terrific job she did! The price was also very reasonable $120! read more

Not only did they do an amazing job (no one knew it had panels!), they charged less than other tailors had quoted by about 30%, and they were done a week quicker than they had originally told me! Had a pair of jeans hemmed here and they done very well. Paid $20 and kept the original hem. They only had them for a week and said they could be done sooner if I needed. I will definitely be back.
