I would highly discourage anyone who is doing research and debating a landscaper to not go with US Turf. From start to "finish" it was a disaster. When I received my proposal, there was no communication or directions with next step. I signed the proposal and later received an automated email for my first payment. I paid the invoice and the sales rep did not even reach out to say that they received the payment or when our backyard project would start. I had to follow up on this. Whenever I would text him questions, majority of the time I would wait 24 hours and then have to respond again saying that I was following up. I was so fed up that I asked to speak with the sales reps manager and he said absolutely and that he would get me his managers contact the following day... guess what, I never received his contact info. I asked the first sales rep that I was speaking with (this guy was actually good at communication) for the contact info and the sales manager called me. The sales manager sounded genuine and apologized for my experience. He said that he would talk to the rep and everything would be ok and that this "must have been a one off because they have 5 star reviews". When it came time to actually starting the project, I was told at 9am that the team would be at my house soon, at the latest 12. Umm I wouldn't consider 3 hours later as soon.... No one came until 1:25pm with no communication that they were running late. While working on the project, I noticed that I did not see a drain pipe installed and pavers had already been laid down. I went outside to ask about this, and the worker did not understand what I was talking about. I immediately shot the sales manager a text because a drain pipe was in my bid and was a non-negotiable. It was later on a Friday but I didn't know what to do since the crew didn't really speak English. Guess what, he never got back to me... At the end of the day, they were not able to complete the project due to arriving late. However, the head of the crew working on project texted me the next morning letting me know that they were coming. I asked her about the drain pipe and she claimed that "they didn't have enough pipe" the first day. By not enough, they meant none because I watched them tear out the pavers that were installed the first day so that they could install the drain pipe. When the team left after completion, I noticed gaps with missing pavers and overall huge gaps between a lot of the pavers. They also empty water bottles and clementine skin in my backyard. I have a very small backyard, but apparently their turf sheets were not wide enough so they had to lay 2 side by side. I was told I did not have to worry and that you would never be able to see the seam. Well, the seam was and still is extremely noticeable. There were also huge sand bumps in the turf. It was very uneven overall. I contacted the sales rep and he never responded (to this day never responded) so I contacted the sales manager and he had the team come back out and fix my concerns. The head of the crew was very nice and ensured me that the seam is still settling and will soon not be visible but to ensure this happens, they would come back in 2 weeks to fluff the turf again. I also noticed that many nails were not flush in the turf and had to nail them down myself. I told the sales manager that I still felt like the project was incomplete. There were still gaps in pavers which could potentially just be too much sand since they do not use hard sand. I am also not a pavers expert but when I did research, I thought it was best to use polymeric sand to ensure no gaps between pavers (gaps were big enough that someone could break their ankle if they were wearing high heels) and the manager told me no one should ever use polymeric sand and that the sand would eventually go away and that I would have to maintain filling it since it was regular sand. The seam was also still visible and I told the sales manager that I was wasn't very comfortable paying the remaining money due. I was scared that once I paid it, they would vanish off the face of the earth. The sales manager ensured me that I still had a warranty and stated that I needed to paid the remainder balance. I paid it and guess what, the person who told me they were going to come back after 2 weeks never came back and now it has been 2 months. Terrible terrible customer service and quality of work. I highly encourage going with someone else instead. Overall, even though the employee charging their phone in my outlet is minor, it frustrated me because of everything else going on. I am probably missing some stuff that occurred as this was from 2 months ago, but I've finally had the time to write this review. Latest update: there are still gaps in the pavers, but I think it looks better than it does in these pictures now. I still wouldn't recommend due to the terrible communication. read more

We received 3 quotes to redo our huge back yard and US Turf was the cheapest. We went from desert to turf and had our borders redone. Nathan was great; showed up on time and gave us a written estimate. The computerized rendering was a nice surprise as well! The crew was fantastic. Showed up promptly at 7 am and got right to work. Project was only 3 days start to finish, fantastic! Even after we requested an area around our tree to be redone, it was, with no trying to change our minds or complaints by the crew. To whomever at US Turf, I would like to give you a good review but I would need you to do the work first. I made a request for a Free estimate, received a call from Gema the office administrator who gave me a date and time. That day passed without anyone showing up or calling with an excuse. I emailed Gema the next day mentioning the no-show and she said she would have someone here at 11:00. I thanked her and waited..... Again, no one showed up or called. I again emailed Gemma to let her know that no one showed. Then she said that a Nathan had been at my place the day before and met with me and my wife (I'm not married) this of course was wrong and made up. AND, if he had been here, where's my information or quote?? I am disappointed with US Turf's lack of decency and wasting my time. Work done was just ok. Lots of gaps in between pavers where sand wasn't brushed into because workers were in a rush to finish. A few spots that seem a bit emptier than others for the new rock. Workers threw away so much extra new rock that we paid for and should have just been put in the backyard. The rock removal from the original landscaping was done in a lazy fashion and not 100% removed. This was brought up to the company and wasn't fully resolved before new rock was dumped. The estimator didn't leave full notes about removing existing 2x2 fire pit from previous owner leading to multiple calls to get resolved. They failed to move the irrigation line back to outside of the backyard gate even though there were multiple conversations and text messages with the estimator to include this. There was never a call back when promised, no communication on when work was to start and when workers would show up. I had to call them at least 15 times for a job that should have been 2 - 2.5 full days. Workers showed up extremely late first two days, then walked into my backyard on Saturday without warning to grab some of their tools they had left behind and just never showed up again. This lead to more calls and the company having to send out another crew to finish the job. Company over ordered pavers and have left an entire pallet of pavers in front of our house for 4 days now after work has been completed, I've already called them about so they're aware but don't care since they've already got my money. Still charged full price even though that entire pallet wasn't used and the 2nd crew throwing away the previously mentioned new rock instead of bringing it into the yard. The price was very competitive but you get what you pay for. I assumed they would put a weed barrier under the new rock because every other company we got quotes from included that, but US Turf skipped out on that which partly explains the good price. I can't recommend US Turf to anyone because they aren't worth the headache and hassle of trying to get any information from them, the horrible lack of communication, waste of materials, the rushed work, and work not fully completed as discussed with estimator because they didn't leave clear notes. read more

We had a semi-inground swim spa removed from our backyard and it left an 8' X 14', 3 feet deep hole in our yard. We hired US Turf to fill in the hole and then cover the entire area with new turf. We also had them replace some adjacent turf so everything would match. We also had to have some patio pavers installed where the edge of the spa was. US Turf was very professional and responsive. Pricing was more than fair and they did excellent work. A drip sprinkler line was accidentally punctured during the installation which we discovered the next day and they sent out a couple of guys the same afternoon to make the repair at no charge. We had quite a few companies come out to give estimates for our backyard project. Nathan came out and we walked through everything we wanted. He was able to mock up a design on the spot with us and understood our vision. He was available to answer any questions and got back to us quickly. They were the best price on the turf and flexible on our start date as other things on our end came up. The work crew showed up on time everyday and cleaned up everyday before leaving. Anything that came up along the way or questions were communicated with us. We appreciated being kept in the loop because things do come up. We are always nervous when hiring a company for a job like this, where you have to put your faith and trust out there, but we are so happy with the results! They really delivered! In January we had turf, a paver patio and walkway installed by US Turf. We went to the business to look at different type of turf, which was a waste because it wasn't available when it came time to install it. Anyway, we sat down and a diagram was completed. Was the diagram given to the workers - nope. Also, I was concerned when I saw the young employees... like 20 year olds. Why? Lack of experience... which turned out to be a valid concern. Before I begin, I mostly post positive reviews on Yelp. However, I'm making an exception for US Turf. The first issue as the complete disconnect between the salesman and the workers. The senior worker asked me 3 times if a path was included in the project... "Yes" "Yes" and "Yes." Due to the project taking far longer that originally scheduled, we were on vacation when our path was installed... incorrectly... not smooth with curves, but sharp corners. They tried to fix it and we settled for the outcome. At least they tried, right? Fast forward 6 month and now we're adding vegetation and plants in our back yard. I turned on the irrigation - OMG! Disaster... water is coming from 3 areas. What ever happened to "Capping off the sprinklers" under the turf as promised? Hence, I've lost all confidence in US Turf and will be paying another irrigation specialist to cap off the unnecessary irrigation line, fix the turf and install an irrigation feed for the new plants. I'll end on a positive and state they did do a great job with laying the patio pavers down and turf. Unfortunately, taking the shortcut of not setting us up for the future was very disappointing. read more

The whole process with US turf was a pretty good experience for me. Gage came out and gave us a on the spot estimate and gave some advice on how the yard needs to be done. As a regular consumer you have in idea in your head, but not quite sure how to execute the design and Gage was very helpful, down to what materials to use and what's more cost saving. We even got a huge discount on the turf because the Golden Knights won the Stanley cup. The Silvestre crew came out and started working on the project, they were very nice and accommodated to some changes. When we were short on pavers, US turf said: Do whatever to make the customer happy. That's some pretty amazing customer service, I was pretty shocked tbh. The craftsmanships were great and they got everything done in less than 3 days. When my trees weren't doing well, I called them back and they in more soil for me. I absolutely love our fully re-done yard with pavers and pet-safe turf. The 2 man crew that came out and did the job from start to finish was fantastic. They were professional, respectful and timely. There were some hiccups in the beginning and at the very end, but at no fault of their own. Dean came out to assess our yard and what we'd need. Our original quote included rock removal and a border around the turf. We ended up not needing to do those things per the project manager overseeing the crew. Additionally, it has been extremely difficult getting this company to pick up the piles leftover material that had been dumped in front of our house (as well as our neighbors), which includes a never opened pallet of pavers. We've called several times since our yard was finished last week and are in an area with an HOA, so a time frame to get this handled is a factor. I realize this is their busy season, bur I'm not sure why it's been so difficult to wrap things up with this company. The work to our yard has been completed and again, we love it. the backyard starts asking me questions on irrigation and power lines. I told them, you guys are professionals, do whatever needs to be done. They called in extra supervisors that also came to the house. After an hour of wasted time they decided the quote given to me was grossly undervalued. The problem is they misjudged the amount of labor required for relocation of the irrigation. I was furious, this is not a way to do business, it's not cheap either it's a $10K+ job. This is a total complete lack of oversight on US turf. The incompetence is staggering and they threw the estimator under the bus, there only response is we are sorry. Seems like the only thing US TURF cares about is signing contracts and collecting money without doing the necessary research. read more

I admit I got multiple bids and went with UsTurf because they had the lowest quote. Other companies trash talked them, but I had a good feeling about it. I was right thankfully! From start to finish, they stayed in touch and helped every step of the way. I was in communication with Gage the entire time who was my original rep. Then once the project started I worked with Oscar and Alex. Everyone was great! I converted over 5000sqft of turf in an extremely strict HOA and it was painless. They did fill conversion, and wired for over 90 landscape lights. My HOA application was initially denied, but we worked together to get it through all their specs to get approval. I was approved by SNWA immediately and approved right after the project was complete. They did everything properly. I had a great experience with these guys. They came out to our house two separate times just to look through the backyard because we kept changing our minds about what we wanted to do. They were super patient and rewrote our estimate several times to get us exactly what we wanted. We got quotes from 3 other companies and US Turf easily came under all the other estimates, even with better quality turf. The crew was extremely meticulous and took extra care to make sure that everything was done perfectly. The turf was laid super cleanly with great edges that look natural. The pavers were especially well done as they were on a difficult curved slope but they were able to install them very nicely. They also repaired our existing sprinkler/irrigation system and added some new sprinklers to the backyard. All in all we were extremely happy with the work that was done and the customer service. HORRIBLE company to deal with, EXTREMELY POOR at communication. We couldn't get response and had to chase them until to get things done correctly. We got an estimate to install paver walkway and steps WITH LIGHTS. Day one, they finished the sidewalk, day two, KEVIN the supervisor promised to come to finish the steps, ended up no-show no call. Turned out there was an issue with the main water line, so no steps installed. The crew cleaned the yard and left. We re-designed new steps, but took us HELL to get to talk to someone. No response for full week. My husband had to call main office to talk to someone, and finally got us to OSCAR, project manager. He promised to come by to check the yard with the new design, I waited all day and he didn't show up!!! My husband had to call again, then he came following day. The new design good to go; 4 steps WITH LIGTHS. OSCAR, confirmed the lights installation thru texts the day before. New crew came out without supervisor, they almost install the steps incorrectly but since they don't speak English, my husband had to show them what to do. Finally all the four steps installed, WITHOUT LIGHTS !!! The crew left our yard with trash and garbage. AGAIN, we called days and days to get someone come clean the yard. Then here comes the invoice. They charged us sidewalk, steps, WITH LIGHTS INSTALLED. We struggled to fix the price because billing dept kept sending same invoice. Communication was very frustrating.
