We moved from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment three blocks away. When we moved 3 years ago the movers only took 4 hours. These movers took over 13 hours. This company is a scam. Upfront the service is fantastic, they are responsive and professional, and make really lovely sounding promises about taking care of your items. On moving day everything changed. The movers were polite, but were very clearly paid hourly. They moved extremely slowly- my husband ended up unloading half of the boxes from the truck. They broke and damaged more items than budget movers I've used in the past- a literal chunk was missing from our master bed which I saw them dragging across the street. Also a table was broken in half. At the end of the moving process it took twice as long to move as we were quoted, it cost twice as much, and several pieces of expensive furniture had to be replaced. Customer service was very unresponsive and finally after a long drawn out process they refunded us a cute little amount. DO NOT HIRE USA FAMILY MOVING! I strongly suggest going to their BBB pages to read honest reviews and complaints. Please do not be fooled by the good reviews like I was - there are complaints on BBB that mention them paying customers to remove the negative reviews. When I called them to receive info & a quote, I was told they provide white glove service - including using floor covers, door frame guards, & wrapping all items well & securing them to the truck to ensure no items would be damaged in transit. I was assured they take the necessary precautions to prevent damage so I decided to go ahead with USA Family even though they were more expensive than other companies. The service I received on 12/28/22 was the complete opposite of what I was told: -They did not wear shoe covers, protect door frames or floors, or adequately wrap & secure my furniture in the truck leading to damage of expensive furniture items & damage to the walls, baseboards, countertop, & floors in my new construction townhouse. They tracked dirt inside, dragged furniture across the floor, dripped sweat on the floor, left dirty handprints & scraped walls, damaged drywall and baseboards, & left scuffs on my countertops. -They lacked professionalism. They were not able to communicate well and did not explain the process or adequately answer any of my questions. They did know how the additional insurance (extra $144) & inventory valuation process worked so multiple phone calls were taken during the move time to get instructions, which delayed moving items. They worked slowly and the inventory valuation process took much longer than quoted because they were not knowledgeable. -There was also no clear leader to direct & manage the job so it would be done effectively & efficiently. The movers did not act like professionals who do this for a living. A lot of time was spent standing around trying to figure out their next steps - which also seemed intentional to run the time up. -I had to ask the movers multiple times to make sure the entire furniture piece was covered - multiple times the bottoms of furniture was left uncovered. -Ultimately my furniture was not secured in the truck leading the furniture wrap to tear and my furniture was damaged in transit. Initially I was told the additional ins would cover replacement of furniture items and there were no additional conversations had to clarify so I went ahead and paid the additional insurance deductible $300. So at this point i've paid over a thousand dollars for the move and then an additional $444 ($144 additional insurance + $300 deductible.) That's when I was told they would only try to repair the damage not replace anything. So I opted to refuse this service as I essentially paid for the furniture repair myself and the company isn't making any concessions for the damage that occurred due to their negligence. Not a customer, I was moving my storage unit next to a crew from this company moving a customer and that crew was the most unprofessional, lazy group of people I've ever seen. I feel bad because they were definitely getting over on the poor older gentleman who was nothing but nice and full of smiles, now I feel obliged to say something, somewhere. The guy downstairs was too busy chain smoking to move stuff to the truck that was blocking the whole downstairs of the [indoors] storage-unit and the other two guys we're moving one item at a time from the unit to the elevator, obviously dragging along the process and raking up the pay. These guys were not trained what-so-ever with how they were moving the customers items with how they had everything stacked or how they were dragging the stuff along the floor. It's hard to find a moving company that actually cares about your stuff, I just hope seeing these 1 * reviews help you along the way. Disaster move! They did a very poor job protecting our furniture or the house. They scratched the floors, destroyed door frames and ripped furniture. The entire move their team complained about the number of items and weight of items despite specifically telling the company what items we needed help moving. My experience with USA Family Moving in Atlanta was horrible. Choose another company if you can. I typically never leave reviews but I had to leave one for this company and here are the reasons why. 1. Two days before I moved, I received a call from Wendell Williams telling me that he may not have a truck that will fit all of my items and I will have to use their storage unit to store what does not fit on the truck. I reserved this truck a month in advance and Jacob (the person who booked my appointment) did not express concern about moving my things so I cannot understand why Wendell would call me two days before I move with that concern. 2. The movers came 45 minutes late. 3. The mover tried to force me to get USA Family's insurance and told me I did not have an option not to get the insurance. I had to call the office and no one there could help. I eventually told them the move was off because I felt like he was trying to cheat me. He eventually realized he was wrong and then started to finally move my things. It took almost an hour to get to this point after they were late. 4. There were three movers. One mover was older and complained the entire time he moved me. He complained about the office and about one of the other movers. The other mover (the one who was trying to force me to get the insurance) stayed in the truck most of the time. I guess he was organizing my things as they were put on the truck and the last mover was great. He was positive and worked diligently for the entire move. He actually moved most of my things. 5. Once we got to the new location, the movers would not unload my things until I paid. Well...... my items weighed significantly less than the 8,000 lbs I was estimated at. I want to mention, that I initially estimated 6,000 lbs. and was told I should increase it just to make sure I was covered. Turns out, the 6,000 lbs was right however they tried to charge me for 8,000 lbs. Wendell would only communicate with the driver and so there was a lot of back and forth which took over an hour to iron out. First he said the quote I was given was the price for the weight of 6,000 lbs. Thankfully, I had an email from Jacob showing the weight and the cost for 8,000 lbs. (which was the price Wendell was trying to steal from me) so he could not dispute it further with his driver and finally gave me a lower price. I know in my gut that Wendell still overcharged me but I do not have the proof so there is nothing more I can do about that. In conclusion, the office staff and movers should be trained together so everyone is on the same page. As for Wendell who is like the office manager/ logistics coordinator - you made this experience horrible for me. The stress you caused me before and on the day of my move is unforgivable and it was unnecessary. I do not appreciate you trying to steal my money that I worked hard for. As a single mother of two and a special education teacher I needed an affordable and reliable moving company. Furniture to be moved included: 1 king size bed and frame 4 dressers 1 twin bed tv stand dining room table I would like to list my current concerns and complaints with my recent experience with USA Family Moving. 1. I was told that movers would 'arrive around noon'. I called twice to get an eta and no one showed until 3:45. As a customer, I should not have had to reach out to you about your delay in service. 2.Upon my initial contact with USA Family I was reassured that it wouldn't take more than 3-4hrs. However, my start time was 3:45 and my end time was 9:00pm. This also meant that we had to finish moving in the dark and well past our children's bedtime. 3. The distance from the apartment in Savage to the townhome in Minnetonka is approximately 23 minutes. My bill showed that travel time was 1 hour. 4. I was charged for a half roll of shrink wrap which was necessary to protect the furniture, such as the couch. When the couch was moved in today it was ripped on the top left cushion. The rip is about 3-4 inches in length. Jesse took a picture. I was told that someone would follow up with me regarding this matter. 5. My couch was ripped and they ripped the railing off of the wall. Jesse told me that someone would be following up with me regarding the couch and my other concerns. No one has called or emailed me. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my experience. We hired this company to move our home goods. It was a big move. it started good until we claimed broken, scratched item that were their fault. You have to send photos, weight, year bought. Fill out forms And get them notarized! Yes notarized. Twice. When you claim your items and want to revive your money. I wish I could give a more positive review as this is a veteran-owned business. While the buiness may be veteran-owned, the movers themselves, are not. The pre-move customer experience was great, the team was responsive and quick to meet our needs. The move itself, however, was terrible. Day 1: the truck + crew arrived about an hour late AND the crew didn't know they were "packing." The crew had to go back to the warehouse to pick up packing material. So besides the late start, the other unfortunate events that lead to my 1 star reveiw: poor packing skills, clearly the crew had not been properly trained and/or they did not have enough experience. Clothes were literally dumped into wardrobe boxes, not even hung. Boxes were NOT labeled so knowing where to unload the boxes was a nightmare. Some furniture was wrapped in moving blankets, some was not. The pieces that were not wrapped had the most scuffs/damage. Oh and they would not pack lampshades or computer monitors? I've never heard of a moving company who doesn't pack these items. The loading of the boxes in the truck was ok at the begining but by the end of the day, the crew was tired and the loading suffered. Items were not neatly stacked, rather shoved into available nooks + crannies. We had to ask the crew to not bring in the muddy dolly into the home (dark hardwood floors). Had the floors been protected, this would have been fine. They sent 4 crew members to pack and load when they should've sent 6 or more. There was not a final walk-through and we found a couple of cupboards/drawers that were completely missed. It was a rough day and I wish I would have been more present. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and left them alone for most of the day (even bought them lunch). Day 2: Crew was supposed to arrive shortly after 12pm and didn't arrive unitl after 2:30. Oh and there were only 2 crew members to unload a 26 foot truck. Without myself, husband and father-in-law helping to unload, they would have been here all night. I think the 5 of us unloaded the truck shortly before 6pm. I'm not going to beat up USA Family Moving on the price, which I thought was reasonable OR my damaged items. My frustration w/USA Family Moving comes down to lack of preparation. Had they been more prepared the experience would have been much better. IF you choose to use USA Family Moving, have them simply move your stuff - DO NOT HAVE THEM PACK (that's not their specialty). BE PRESENT during the move - supervise the entire process and demand that your stuff be taken care of. If that means they have to go back to the warehouse to get more moving blankets, so be it. the current star rating for this company is misleading as in order to be paid for damage settlements, customers have to remove negative reviews. And then sign that you keep that little tidbit confidential. keep that in mind when looking at Their ratings. If you are good with that anyway, you better purchase their highest level of insurance at their convenient premium, otherwise your property will be damaged and the settlement will not be based on value of item but weight and if you have wood glue in hand, that apparently fixes everything. My husband and I hired them based on it being family owned and veterans. Well let me tell you, they will screw you to the bones. They charged us $418 per hour, said they were there 9.5 hours, which was really 7.5 hours AND they purposely went slow to get more money. Our last movers did the same job in 4 hours with half the people. Now 9.5, which is wrong times $418 isn't anywhere near the $5100 that we paid them. My move was confirmed 3 times with an arrival between 8-10 am...considering Atlanta traffic. I had to make 3 calls to get an update that a crew would be out by 3 to start the job. I had the worst moving experience in my life with USA Family Moving. First, when I called to inquire about the rate, I was told that it would cost $239 per hour for 4 professional Movers. I was promised that 'they are fast' and 'they can disassemble my beds and assemble it back very quick' and they will 'take good care of my furniture.' Unfortunately, all of that was a lie!!! A crew of four people showed up in the moving day 35 minutes late and they were professional, but not in moving as they were skillful in wasting time!!! I was very shocked when I saw them disassembling my first bed manually, and when I asked Mr. Franco (the lead) why you are not using drills to disassemble the bed he said we only have manual tools to disassemble. It took Mr. Franco 22 minutes and another guy to disassemble 10% of my first bed can you imagine if he is going to disassemble three other beds two queens and one king size and then assemble them in the new house how much time they are going to consume!!! I ended up doing them myself. I called the operation to complain and I spoke to Mr. John (later on he told me that he was the owner) of the company and when I asked him why you don't provide your crew the right equipment such as drills, gloves and more! He told me that the company does not provide that and when I asked him why he gave me the same answer the company does not provide the crew with drills. The crew was so slow (professional time wasters) as they only loaded one small item at the time. Only one person was working hard and the other three didn't know what to do and they looked like they were confused or maybe pretending to be; I observed that they were receiving phone calls and would sometimes disappear for 15 to 20 minutes at the time. The worst part of this experience happened when they arrived at my new house! They refused to start offloading before they get paid in full. I understand that they wanted the payment in full, but my wife had the payment document that she signed. However, she was at my old house and I ended up getting billed for 30 minutes of while we waited for her to come to the new house with the document. The crew could have started to offload, but refused. After this part was resolved, I was also charged for other items and expenses without my knowledge or consent. I was told that there's nothing I can do about it because the payment was already made. In the end, I paid $2,000 and not even 50% of my stuff was moved. There was a lot of damage to my furniture and several missing items that I cannot find. I had to rent a U-Haul truck the next day to complete my Moving. Where do I begin. This is a bait and switch company. We hired USA Family Moving to helps us move into our new home. We booked them 4 months in advance. Adam, who I dealt with in the beginning was very nice and professional. Later on, we dealt with Adrian, who was also very nice and professional. Little did I know, not everything was explained to me up front. 3 days prior to the move, I get a call from Mike. He explains to me that I needed to pay the movers prior to them unloading the truck. I was shocked that this important information was not told to me when I hired them back in August. Or when Adrian and I talked in October. After I talked to Mike, I called Adrian and asked her why that particular information was not told to me in the beginning. She said "That information is told to customers when Mike calls them 3 days prior to the moving date". At this time (3 days prior to moving) it was too late to hire another company, plus I had done a deposit with USA. Adrian did explain that if I was charged for 5 hours and the movers ended up finishing in 3 hours, I would get my money back. -Day of moving. We paid for 3 guys at $159/hr. This was a promo they had when I signed up in August. The morning of the move, we get a call from Mike, saying one of his guys didn't show up for work. Mike doesn't know what happened. I'm thinking, as a manager of a company, you should have called and found a back up instead of calling me to tell me one guy did not show up. When Mike called me at 8AM on Saturday, I had no choice but to say send the 2 guys that showed up for work. We had the day planned out so we could not wait for USA to find a third guy. -During the move everything was went fine. The guys showed up on time and we told them what all needed to be moved. Brandon was the lead guy. He had a younger guy with him. The younger guy seemed new because Brandon was telling him how to carry things and how to wrap things. After we were done with the house, we went to the storage unit. As Brandon was moving some of our things, he noticed a long piece of wood that was broken. He immediately brought it to our attention. We told him we were aware of it and that he can load it up into the truck. -We get to our final destination. We pay Brandon and his guy prior to them unloading. Once they finished, we asked them to bring up our bedframe. We noticed that the leg to our frame was broken. We told them to leave it on the main floor since we could no longer use the headboard. Brandon told us it was already like that. We told him we don't recall it broken. We told him he should have said something when he noticed it, just like how he did when we were at the storage unit. He called his boss and his boss sent us a claim form to fill out. Brandon was very nice and apologized for the broken headboard. We told him to not worry about it and we will file a claim with USA Family Moving Company. -We get claim form and email it to Mike. We get a response back from Mike saying it couldn't have been broken from the move because it's cracked in the middle. Well it wasn't broken when it was at my old house. He offered $49.80.. Mind you the entire bed is no longer useable as the headboard is broken. I emailed him back and told him we are offended by his offer and will not take that. Told him he if that was all he was going to offer, we will just have our attorney contact him. Second email we get from him is offering us $75.00. He said we should have bought insurance when we hired them. We were never told that was an option, to buy extra insurance incase something were to break. Needless to say, we are disappointed with USA Family Moving Company. They pride themselves on being the best and they are not. We were told that all wood and glass articles will be wrapped in padded blankets and it was not. If the headboard was wrapped per their policy, it would have been fine and still usable. It was carried out to the truck with no moving blanket. It was also scratched. The basket to my bike was also broken. I overlooked that as we were more concerned about the headboard being broken. We no longer have a bedframe to use. We will have to pay the city to pick up all 4 pieces of the bedframe. This was not a smooth move for us. -We will have our attorney contact USA Family Moving Company for settlement. If you are looking to hire this company, please make sure they email you everything so that you have it in writing. If you are unaware, if something breaks, they only pay .60 cents per pound. And I would advise to buy their additional insurance policy since we aren't the first people to complain about them breaking something. If I had to do it all over, I would just have had my siblings help us move. At least I know if they broke something, they would replace it. You will need to pay them before they unload your things, if you are not comfortable with this, you will need to look elsewhere. read more

I have moved 28 times in my life so I know how to move and what to expect. When the company contacted me to bid on my move I spoke with a very nice woman. I told her how large our home was and that based on experience I thought it would take two trucks. She explained that she only thought it would need 1 truck (did not see the house or how much I had) but if the driver got there and he thought we needed 2 he would call and they would send another.....never happened. The initial driver had a personal issue and could not drive for our move. The owner called and said he was working on another driver. Long story short, they could not get another driver so he sent 3 guys and a truck after they moved another place that morning. They got to my house at 2pm. On walk through the driver estimated a 9 hour move and that we probably would not get it all on one truck. I asked him to call for another, as I was told, to which he said yes, I see on the paperwork that you requested that but we do not have another driver. So we went with the one truck and 3 guys. The movers started downstairs while I was upstairs rolling up rugs, etc. When I went downstairs I saw that they had spent the last hour wrapping all my furniture in plastic wrap. I asked why and they said to protect my furniture. I asked why they just didn't use moving pads and he said wrapping was company policy. Finally, after 2 hours had passed I asked if we could at least get one more mover since as of now we would go way past the 9 hours. We did get a 4th person. We finally finished up the first load (we did need a second trip) and got across town to our new home (it was about 6pm). When I pulled in the driver said I needed to pay the full amount for the estimated time right then and not after the move. I was supposed to also sign a document stating that the shipment was received in apparent good condition. I refused to sign until the stuff was off the truck, that is ridiculous. Plus I felt like they were holding my stuff hostage. I paid..... At this point it was 9pm. I was tired and the 4 guys had been moving things for 13 hours. I suggested that if there was an opening the following day we could just go get the stuff then since I felt bad for the guys. We called the owner and he said ok but was going to charge me a good bit more for Sunday moving. I was flabbergasted since we were in the situation due to his company not being able to do what they said they could. I told the guys sorry, tipped them well, and we went back and got the furniture. When we got to my new home I told them to just put it all in the garage and I would move it around later. We were all so tired at that point I wanted to let them go home. BTW I was charged $120 for 3 rolls of saran wrap. At no time was the owner/manager sympathetic or offer anything for the inconvenience that they caused. He did apologize a few times but did not offer any help other then to ask if I wanted to move on Sunday instead which I couldn't do. I understand emergencies, etc. but this whole move was very poorly handled. They should have listened and sent 2 trucks in the beginning. When they knew they were going to be so late they should have supplied at least 1-2 extra guys so it wouldn't take us into the night to move. Or at least charged me the Saturday rates on Sunday since I was looking out for their guys. Overall very bad experience. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. By far the worst moving experience of my entire life. We were scheduled to move the day before Memorial Day. They were supposed to arrive between 1-3PM. We received a call saying they are taking longer than anticipated to finish the move from the morning, so we should expect them closer to 3PM. We received another call, close to 3PM, saying they are needing to take an unexpected second trip for the morning move and we are going to get pushed until 6PM. A bit frustrating, but things like this happen, so we go with it. We received another call, around 5:30PM, saying the driver had gotten injured so they weren't going to be able to make it out that day at all. I had Memorial Day plans with family and friends, however none of our stuff had moved. They said our only option was to do everything on Memorial Day in the morning. Our bedding was already packed away so we were forced to sleep at a relatives for the night. Memorial Day. They were supposed to call when the truck left the office, however that did not happen. We had to call to ensure they were on the way. We were supposed to have a 3 man crew + driver. They showed up with only 3 guys, including the driver. So we started the process with one less person than we were told, as well as one of the movers being the same guy who needed stitches the day before. This was clearly not the A-Team either. There were MULTIPLE instances where I caught them waiting around on their cell phones for instruction from one of the other movers. We also timed a few of the trips to/from the truck with the average time being about 15 minutes... Way longer than it should have been. At one point I went up to the second floor overlooking outside to see what else they were doing, only to find one of the movers up there talking on his phone about his friend who had applied and hadn't heard back yet. He gave me an angry look and went back to work. They spent about 2 hours Saran wrapping our stuff. This seemed a bit excessive, but if it helped our stuff get there then sure, let's do it. It wasn't until a 4th guy was called in (after I had called to management because of how slow everything was going) that we found the Saran wrapping is OPTIONAL and costs extra... at $159/hr that is about $320 worth of Saran Wrap... if I knew that was optional I would not have said yes. They did not even give the option. They just started doing it. The additional guy who came from a different move was the only helpful person in this entire situation. He said one of the very first things they should have discussed with us was Saran wrapping and estimated time for the move, neither of these things happened. The pace changed DRAMATICALLY when the 4th guy showed up, as the other movers actually started working at his pace. It seemed like the initial trips to/from the truck took about 4x longer than when the 4th guy showed up. I have moved multiple times and have never had it take longer than 6-7 hours once everything is packed up. We had everything packed up and it took a total of 11 hours. For a 2 bedroom apartment. What's the chance there is 1.5x holiday pay involved since it was Memorial Day? Even if not, being paid hourly is a definite incentive to work slower and that was very obvious when watching the initial crew 'work'. Once we made it to the new apartment (only 5 minutes away) we were informed for the first time that we were required to pay BEFORE everything was unloaded. It felt like a hostage situation. The forms we had to sign indicate the condition of our furniture was still acceptable.... how would we know? It hasn't been unloaded yet! We signed and paid solely based on not wanting to upset the crew and have them drive off with our stuff... It felt as shady as could be. The management gave half-hearted apologies about the situation, but offered absolutely nothing to make it right. 11 hours is absolutely ridiculous for a 2 bedroom apartment move, and the 'honest core values' this company is supposed to stand by were not upheld in the slightest. The 4th guy (Jake) was great. He called the management after I had already done so, trying to convince them to give us a cheaper rate. I was unsuccessful, but luckily they took it down to a 2 man crew rate at the very end. All in all, this company ruined our Memorial Day plans, took about 4 hours longer than expected, held our stuff hostage until we paid, and weren't transparent in the slightest about anything that was happening. DO NOT USE THEM! My experience with these movers was atrocious. I needed to move out during COVID and could not be there in person to oversee the move. When I called before hand, they assured me this was okay and that they would keep in contact with me during the move. Firstly, the crew was changed on me at the last minute. Secondly, they left my furniture behind! I only had 3 pieces of furniture and it's obvious they didn't even try to move the furniture because it's exactly as I left it. His crew claimed they didn't fit into my POD, but a professional team would have had the common sense to pack the large things, like furniture first or at least call to ask me what my preference was. They were unreachable during the entirety of the move and the owner's excuse was that my number was not a local number. That was a lame excuse as his crew called me on that number prior to arrival. I was charged $1200 for an incomplete job! When I called John to talk to him about this, he gaslit me, refusing to contact his crew until my dad got involved. BUYER BEWARE: Before booking a move with USA Family moving please reconsider. I am currently going through a claims process for furniture that was damaged by the 3 movers that USA Family Moving provided end of August and it is a complete pain (see attached images of two damaged columns that belong to my Entertainment Center and the middle section of a 3-seat couch). Don't waste your time booking the basic insurance as you are only reimbursed for .60 cents per lbs for whatever your damaged item is worth. Also they calculate depreciation for the age of your items (5% for every year) so you are literally reimbursed pennies for expensive furniture that they damage. We booked moving for 5 hours. The move ended up taking 8 hours because they only provided 3 movers and they were practically teenagers who had trouble carrying heavier items, thus, resulting in the damage seen in the attached photos. The response to my claim has been very delayed and not helpful at all. Matter a fact they argue with you via email, how unprofessional! I would not recommend this moving service. Lastly, I highly recommend that during ANY move with ANY company that you keep a close eye on your personal items to avoid personal items being stolen, this is a very common occurrence during moves so be careful! read more

DO NOT MOVE W THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE SO AWFUL! We used USA family moving to move from Minnesota to Michigan. They did an exceptionally poor, awful, horrific, terrible job. These people are anything but professional. The movers were extremely rude, did not box our belongs correctly, did not come on time, wore their dirty shoes in our apartment, threw our belongs in boxes around, and had no regard for our personal items. When we got to Michigan the movers took forever to come to our new place. I called the dispatch, Jon, and he kept giving me the run around that they were "on their way". When they finally arrived, 3 hours late, they threw out stuff in the middle of the living room and poorly put together our furniture. To top off the whole awful experience our $5000 TV was broken. USA movers merely wrapped it in a blanket and let is sit on a bumpy truck ride from MN to MI thinking that would be protective. USA movers were reluctant to pay for the TV, seemingly, bc they automatically enrolled me in the ".60 cent per pound" insurance plan, and never offered a more prominent insurance plan. When I told them I wasn't offered that they told me most people know to "insure expensive items", putting the blame on us. These people are awful and do not patronize them. I hope they go out of business. read more

Buyer beware. This was hands down the worst moving experience and most expensive local move we have ever dealt with. Our scheduled time, confirmed the NIGHT before was 8-10am. We were scheduled for and paid a deposit for a 4 man crew. I had to constantly call the company for status updates. After excuses about rain delays the day before and crews being out until past 2am, my crew arrived at 4pm. They showed up with only 3 people telling me that they had just come from their first move. We were supposed to be the first moved off the day. They also told me that crews were out until 12 pm, not 2am. Only 1 out of the 3 had any clear experience as he was training the other 2 the whole time. They were polite and courteous throughout, but I'm not paying for please and thank yous. 1 member spent more time trying not to lift heavy items and trying to get out of putting things in their labeled rooms then he did moving. They made multiple bathroom breaks throughout and even stopped for a dinner break. The move was not completed until almost 1130 pm and cost us almost $1500. No adjustments for the extreme delay. And nothing but lies from the first phone call straight through the move. read more

I'd suggest if you use USA Family Moving you monitor them closely. The movers trashed several walls in our house. They rode around on our young daughter's eclectic motorbike, and two of the four movers did not wear masks during the move. Three pieces were damaged during he move and the movers did not even have enough integrity to point that out before the left. The claims form is filled with hoops to jump through and you have to have everything notarized. Honestly, I'd look around and find a different company, their branding does not live up to the experience. read more

Promised the new USA family truck. A Penske truck pulled up. Did not protective wrap the front door. Ran out of blankets to cover furniture. Dropped off 4 wardrobes, called and they came back to drop off 6 more - had ordered 12, only gave me 4 cross bars (I went to local UHaul to purchase cross bars). I ended up packing the hanging items to speed up the process- day one all they did was load no packing. And day 2 they were to start driving out of state. That didn't happen. Had tape but no tape dispensers used mine I had 3 on hand and CJ cut himself No first aid kit on the truck, one guy cut himself pretty bad with my tape gun - I had to find my first aid kit and fix him up. The wound did not stop bleeding we changed the dressing several times. No tools on the truck had to use my tools Items were put set on the truck un wrapped - antique Red Wing Crocks, decorative wreaths they put nothing in boxes just put stuff on the truck. They taped cardboard on to expensive art work. No art was boxed as promised. All said hey had only been working for the company a month. The estimate was for load and pack in one day. That didn't happen all they did the first day was load what I had packed. I had to hurry that evening, (call 6 friends to help me) and pack & box kitchen, house breakables and china cabinet. They stacked stereo equipped in a wardrobe box no paper or bubble wrap. Day 1, said they would arrive between 8-9am, arrived at 9:30am Day 2 arrived at 9:45am Slow, slow, slow, talked on their phone while moving. Once guy Calvin kept commenting on how rich I must be bc I have nice stuff. Very uncomfortable. Adam had said I was 1,200lb over and I should get myself a Uhaul instead of tying up a second truck. I did that and we were still 1,600 lb over My furniture is now in their warehouse and I'm half way across the country with my Uhaul load. The truck had to get weighed 3 items. They took stuff off their truck and put in our Uhaul- first time their truck was 1,500 over after the shifting to lighter items and putting heavier items in our Uhaul it was 1,600 over. The 3rd weighing they never would tell us the number just said they were under and all our heavy stuff was in their warehouse. Day one 9:30-4:30 they knocked off bc the truck was full. By this time my hardwood floors were scratched and I was tired of them talking on the phone and playing loud rap music. No way did I want them to pack my kitchen and breakables. Nikko packed 2 boxed one was porch pillow then my printer then more porch pillows. No bubble wrap. Box was not labeled. Second box he turned a utensil drawer upside down. In the end half our stuff was siting in the warehouse in Minneapols for 6 weeks before they had one guy drive the truck and unload. We had to help him because, news flash you can't unpack furniture alone. read more

This is ABSOLUTELY one of the top 5 worst experiences of all time we have ever been through. When I spoke to the lady who answered the phone, she reassured me we would be able to move in ONE day, on 12/6/21. I let her know it was a 4 bedroom house with a basement and she reassured me that it was not going to take all day to get out of the house. I then I spoke to a manager I let him know that we had to be out of the house by 5pm and he reassured me that they would be out of the house by 2 or 3pm same day. I thought was paying $385+ per hour and noticed that the workers were not moving very fast and that we had six, sometimes seven workers. When I got the bill, it was $508 per hour. Seven workers cost more money and increased the hourly rate. We unfortunately were not able to be there for a few hours as we were closing on our new home and setting up the utilities a the new house which we had to be there, which was only 15 minutes away. During our absence, our neighbor noticed a few of the workers moving extremely slowly and texted us saying they were standing around at times. Ninety-five percent of the house was packed up .. I was charged for more boxes, especially wardrobe boxes than were used. We personally took all our clothes, pictures, plants, lamps and other items that they charged extra for so why was I charged for so many wardrobe boxes, 12 at $19.00 each, still looking for those boxes!!! They charged $956 for boxes and materials, including 54 rolls of tape at $5 per roll and 4 shrink wrap rolls at $50 per roll... I assure you this is not the case. The workers got there at 9:30am and they did not get done loading our stuff until midnight and had to come back with our stuff the next day to unload. Amazingly, it took 16 hours to pack the trucks and only 5.5 hours to unload..... we were able to monitor them the whole time the next day. This move cost us $9200+!!! They charged for 22.5 hours of moving time including travel time. This was with6, sometime 7 people..... do the math. They broke some fine china (I saw it happen) and when I asked where the china was, they stated it was in one of my bins. I made a claim and the china could not be found anywhere so I am assuming they took it. Amazingly, they took pictures of china I had in a box that I got for $9.99 and said they would pay that - it was not the same china and I also had other items that were broken that I still have not received any settlement for. They make you sign documents and have them notarized and witnessed but they won't pay. I would even settle for them replacing the china but after a back and forth, they are now silent. In addition, I am missing items that I personally packed, they are nowhere to be found in this move. Hannah was the manager I was talking with and justified every horrible experience as that is just the way they do business. My voice in this matter was not heard and I wasted my time and money (getting documentation notarized and witnessed) going back and forth. BOTTOM LINE - A 4 bedroom 2/5 bath house that is 95% packed should not take 22.5 hours to move 15 minutes away. I feel I got scammed and seriously padded fees, etc. WILL NEVER HIRE THEM AND YOU SHOULD NOT EITHER. You have been warned. read more

We moved July 2019. The movers were pleasant but our furniture didn't fair as well. Every piece of furniture either had a scratch, dents, scuffed and foot prints on the packing paper. Dents in all of my lamps. I was so disappointed. Read the fine print . They pay you by the pound which came to $275.00. I didn't claim every dent. They broke the mechanize in our sofa but would not replace it. If you want to save your furniture go with some other moving company. read more

Charged my credit card before any work, 3.5 hours to load. They had to reload the truck after Richard the truck loader was found asleep and loaded wrong......also much damage!
